Shosenkyo Gorge, best place to see foliage on November. Not far from Tokyo, only 2.5 hours by Highway Bus.

Genuinely lovely tbf. Well worth taking the ropeway to the top and having a good old wander around - the views on a good day are 👨‍🍳😙

Worth to visit if you love to feel the nature

Really nice hiking area with multiple lots of free parking. All of the main paths are paved so it is more like a walk rather than a hike. Their are also vending machines, restrooms and food stalls along the path. Best to arrive in the morning to beat most of the crowds.Also, there is a lot of construction on the way up and down the mountain, just be prepared.

located North in Kofu, Yamanashi, this place has the most gorgeous gorge, very serene place, rocks formation is so impressive, truly blessed with Nature, fresh air, clean water and precious gems are this place treasure,

Other than the tourist trap at the first parking lot as you drive up the hill, great place to hike, eat and relax.

20191228, 1:30pm’ish.Recommend to see the falls first before heading up the ropeway as the trek down and back up the stairs to see the waterfall can be a bit much.Walking from the ropeway station to the falls felt a bit too commercial. The inn on the left was a bit creepy and wondered who would stay there. Maybe it was like that due to the winter season? Also, the aliens and predator metal statues were out of place but caught onlookers.Overall a good experience and recommend this sightseeing spot.

Great place for a half day walk, or full day if you take your time especially with the walks at the top of the rope way.

Great outdoor place for a daytrip

Great hike. Not too long and doable during the summer. I imagine it being even better during autumn.

Good place for a half-day walk with the family. For kids who like crystals, visiting the local museum of crystal gems is a must.

A quite and beautiful place, interesting rocks and streams, around the waterfalls there are many good shops and restaurant. A worthy and relaxing experience.

Although its very green, land formation of this national park reminds me of Zion National Park in US.

One of the most beautiful outdoor locations in Yamanashi

Shosenkyo is a nice place for hiking because its mountain view is awesome. I recommend people who are planning to go to Kofu area to go Shosenkyo. For people who are planning to go, I recommended them to check which bus lines are available because some bus lines are closed during the winter time.

Excellent scenery and I was there perhaps a week or two after the peak autumn leaf season so not too crowded. Worth a good few hours hike, from the south, Mid or north car park. North is where the street with all the crystal stores and cable car is

Beautiful spot for a long walk, fall colors are fabulous

This place is beautiful and the walk is long but refreshing and you can take it at your pace. The views are breathtaking and instills a sense of calm. You will see the colors of Fall right now and the river is running smoothly. There is a beautiful view at every turn and the waterfall is amazing. Once you get to the shops you will feel like you are in a magical place filled with gems and crystals. Enjoy it as much as I did and if sweet potatoes and grape ice cream are available, try it!

I went on a rainy day in mid November, which is the perfect time to go because the autumn maple leaves look amazing! The hike could have been marked better with more English assistance, but otherwise it was pretty easy. The green line bus is reasonably priced, but comes about once an hour, so be careful about your return. I would highly recommend this hike!

Very cold and icey. There is a bus, a few dollars, to take you up and you just come down to pick your car up. About 30 mins walk.

It was a very hot day but I still ended up enjoying this place. It was a great one day getaway from Tokyo to enjoy nature. We visited during Houtou (special noodles in this areafestival which was a bonus.

Beautiful spot. Take the bus up from the Prefecture parking area and walk down past the falls.Be sure to try a grilled "Ayu" (sweet fishat the first restaurant that you come to.

Beautiful tranquil place very near to Kofu city. Perfect for a day trip over the weekend if you are near. Great hiking and good food available. Lots of places for souvenirs.
