ShoppingCity Runcorn - Shopping Centre in Runcorn, United Kingdom
Theres not much that can be said about this place in a positive way disappointed to say the least.
No decent shops in the shopping centre any more, needs investment or knocking down
Clean and tidy. Not busy.Somewhere to sit and chill inside.Variety of shops but not too big.
Empty shops not like it used to be no real major shops
This place needs some big brands back in there, but still useful for some bits and bobs.
Plenty of free parking.Great when weather is bad,all undercover. Easy to walk around .
Was good in its day good shops leave and stay empty would rather travel further afield better choice of shops
Not many reasonable priced clothes shops, a few coffee shops and eateries - ideal if wet weather as inside.
Ok if you like coffee shops or pharmacies!
Empty barepy any people about in need of major refurb
Its a shame but needs to be demolished and a smaller unit built. Still some good shops but centre looking its age
Very nice and clean. Many shops.
No good shops nowhere for groceries nowhere for kids to hang out
Its looking very sad at the moment with many shops closed and lots of empty units. Some of the big shops have relocated to the retail park understandably so they can stay open longer. I hope it improves.
Signs for shops that left over 12 months ago still showing. I went to shop at The Range but it isnt there, even though the signs say it is.The best part of this place is the free parking.
Lots of different shops all within one centre. Excellent location too
Best shopping centre where you dont get wet going from shop to shop
This place is big but not very helpful to find several stores. Normally these place is useful for library.
I live in a town basicly next to it so I know a lot about, it use to be supper good were you would always go before covid but after covid less and less people would go a less staff would be there and the top was nerver open and less shops was open but after a new event (with I bumped into well going to my local argosI was way more buzyer and I got to see all of the shops open for while I forgot of some of the shops like JD atra it really made me happy
Carbot review: Went on 4/9/22, easy to find and parking was good, its in the multistory carpark so no chance of rain cancelling it,lots of independent sellers which is good, free parking for buyers which is even better, under new management and they have done well, just need to advertise it more to get more sellers. Overall enjoyed it and definitely a good chance of getting a bargain.
Good place for everything you need located on a larger retail park. With all the shops and supermarkets you could need fast food places. Halfords motor centre
This place would be a lot better, if there was more choice of shops. We need a shoe shop and other types of shops, theres some nice places to eat at in Runcorn Shopping City.
Kinda dead these days sadly. I really wish this was more lively and had more appealing shops because I used to absolutely love going here every so often.
Just the basic shops you need, nothing too fancy. Lots of empty lots, hope theyll fill them up soon to recover this mall from being kind of dead. Want a full day of shopping? Id suggest Liverpool. ☺️
I usually go to the Trident park to do grocery shopping because there is nowhere up the city to shop properly
Good enough car park and most necessary retailers.
does not have nothing there really hardly no shops people are rude and just look at you they are very racists as well they hate coloured people which aint great makes you uncomfortable
It needs a wake-up call to attract people again. Some lovely shops, and people, Trident fish bar especially for a meal.
I had a bit of time to kill so I took a walk inside the centre. It was dreadfully quiet and dated. Most of the shops were closed. There wasnt a toilet in sight! Its time to bulldoze it for a new one. The only positive was that it was remarkably clean. Kudos to the cleaners.
Nice place to do shopping though not a lot shops.
Its OK. Not like it used to be. Times have changed but a lot of the big shops have left or gone out of business. Still some handy shops though. Argos, CEX, Poundland, Vodafone and some sports shops. Odin the barber, Costa and Halton Council services.
The epitome of post apocalyptic dystopian design. Looks and feels like something out of 1984. A place for the proletariat to spend their hard earned credits, which they have earned working for the party and Big Brother. In all honesty, it provides a good service for the people of Runcorn, and has more to offer than most similar places.
Lots of shops but lots of empty lots to be used but the essentials that I required were there. Convenient with local taxi rank outside with plenty of cafes and food places. Escalator broke on the way down that had hard of walking customers on that struggled to make it down. The place Needs work or a revamp and attract more shops.
Good shopping city but sad to see empty shops
As poor as ever. Pubs are shut. No Tartan arms or Straw Hat. Bookies closed.
Visited the indoor shopping centre for the first time. Really good as the shops are all in the same place. Went to Wilkos which has a good choice, went outside to TKMaxx which is all on the one level and I could have spent a day there its my fave. Would definitely recommend and its free to park.
Still got some good shops but looking terribly run down and empty these days.
For a big shopping centre theres not much inside anymore there seems to be more empty premises these days years ago this was a thriving place .
Absolutely awful place. Most miserable, coldest uninviting place EVER! Everywere you look all shops closed down" presumably high rents; I heard this place used to be packed with shoppers in years past but now lucky if you pass 10. The only "shops"? Are 2 coffee shops one of which is Costa. Such a depressing place .should be knocked flat. . Owners should take a leaf out of Birchwood shopping centre. After a major refurbishment its now come back to life. My advice for shopping city "( ha laughable"is to STAY AWAY TO AVOID BEING DEPRESSED 😔 ! place has gone to the dogs. Big time.
Awful place, nothing in there and when are they going to get branded companies in??? Widnes has better places to shop at, buy food etc. Just awful in runcorn. Rename it to not attract anything.
Used to be a good place to shop. Not anymore. No butchers, no fishmongers. No shoe shop, no greengrocers. No menswear, i could go on .
Ive always found Friendliness and Helpfulness from The Security Staff at Runcorn Shopping City; but Yesterday was Extra Special....I had left my Coat at The Box Shop and forgotten to take out my House Keys...I went back to The Shop and The Shop was Closed !!!! Fortunately the Security Staff came to my Rescue and was able to gain entry....and I got my House Keys. Many Thanks to The Security Staff. Henry Stephenson.
The first shopping centre in 🇬🇧 old but really nice town , I like the bus gates, I lots of supermarkets around, free parking.
A load of s**t. Minimal shops that actually sell anything useful. If you want to book a holiday or go for a coffee, there are plenty of shops in there that are just for this purpose. For anything else, go somewhere else. Not worth the visit. Probably more shopping choice in Baghdad.
For all my years of coming to Runcorn and now living here, Shopping city has always been there at the heart. And although some may say its on a downfall because Karens favourite shop has disappeared, I give it a full rating based on your willing even now to keep trying to provide shops, and host many small businesses and provide jobs. For the events you put on for kids and all the staff you employ, you are still the same shopping centre to me as you was 20 years ago albeit even more improved through difficult times. It would not be Runcorn without a place such as this.
First time being here attending the Halton comic con it was a fab day and everyone did an amazing job ill definitely be going back again
Good range of shops and cafes all under one roof. Theres a nice pub here, toilets, free carparks, bus station, lifts and escalators. Theres a retail park and cinema beside it too.
You can usually find most things you need here. Mostly high street brands with a few small local sellers. Toilets are always kept clean though and theres some effort put into the centre of the space with an indoor garden vibe.
Great shopping City /mall, lots of good shops good branded shop ie boots, super drug, new look, range and sayers bakery etc, we do craft fair here, we sell Handmade Pens and Handmade Razors and Handmade Shaving. The people are very friendly and make you feel very welcome
A truly big thumbs up for the outstanding display and information on the centenary of world war one. A well run, secure place to shop and eat with unlimited free parking. Even free charge up for electric cars. Well done
