A lot of things you can do there like trekking (best), hiking, cycling with your friends and have shower with natural falls .best to visit in monsoon climateIn entry gate there is charge for per individual 100 and for bike 150 for Nepali and little bit more for foreign.

Its a wonderful place to visit. Specially hiking during summer is very exciting. The scenery from the top is mind blowing. Waterfall, greenery, scenic beauty, rare plants are the main attraction.

One of the best place for hike lovers.Personally for me its number 1 among near hiking places in Kathmandu.Needs tickets for entering the national park but you can avoid that by taking the tarebhir route but for first timers I recommend the main gate cause its much safer and not confusing. Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park (159 sq kmis situated on the northern fringe of Kathmandu valley and lies about 12 km away from the center of capital city. The area was gazetted as the countrys ninth national park in 2002. Prior its declaration as national park, it was managed under the Shivapuri Watershed Development Board, and was later declared as Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve.

Its very good place. The trekking route to it is very entertaining as well as beautiful scenery could be seen from there.

Best place for hiking with family, friends and loved once. Best view, waterfall.If you want go by 2 wheel or 4 wheel then be careful there too many off road

Beautiful national park. The sign boards and milestones should be updated though. most of it are wrong and lack information. very easy to get lost if you dont know where youre going. A sign said 4km to chisapani and 2 hours time. But it took us 12+ km of walking and 5 hours to get there.

It is one of the best hiking trails near the Kathmandu areas. It has well-maintained tracks which pass through lush green peaks, a small waterfall, and temples in between. At the entrance, there is a small and only shop for local snacks with water bottles. All the major information is well marked and can take information from locals. It is one of the best places to view Kathmandu city. It is not well connected to public transportation. Maybe you need to rent a bike or private taxi to reach here. Finding a Public washroom may be a problem.

Please make sure to bring literally everything you take with youThe Army stationed at the entrance will check your garbage and make sure you brought everything you took with you.Failing to do so, they will send you back to fetch it.

One of the nearest National park in the Kathmandu valley. Peaceful snd refreshing environment, you can hike for different places like Bishnu dwar, Bhagdwar, Gumba, shivapuri peak and so on. In between you can see many natural fountain. Best place to hike.

I did a solo hike... I reach to the top after 1.40 hr hike, spent some time there and come back to the bottom within 1hr hike

It was a great experience! Really you should come and visit once. Trekking is almost fun . You can find many species of trees in the mixed forest of shivapuri. Its very rare that you find wild animals, but thats good...and main thing you need a guide..and dont forget a bottle of 🌊💦 water

Go to place for Hiking, if youre in Kathmandu. There are plenty of routes you can choose according to your preferred duration and difficulty. Good break from the city. Saturdays might get crowded tho.

I like to go on short hike in Shivapuri National Park during the weekends. One breaths fresh air, drink clean water and see the wide view of Kathmandu valley from there.

From Shivapuri ticket counter gate you will reach the peak in 3-4 hours. After you go inside the gate there is a small shop on the left side if you forget to buy anything. There are no shops after that so bring your own foods and have a blast. Although you may feel difficulty in walking for 2-3 days after the hike. Its worth it. Cheers 😃

Isnt it amazing that we have a national park right here in the capital! Whether you want a short hike or want to have an overnight stay with a day hike, this place is vividly scenic! Make sure to reach until Chisapani, which is around 2140m above sea level with good hotels available. Also, recommended to start hike either from Budanilkantha or Sundarijal! I prefer Sundarijal. If you love pork sekuwa, plenty available here in a really affordable price. Also, such a refreshing place to be, away from Kathmandus buzzing noise. A natural beauty to clear your head at.

Beautiful place for a short hike. Can drop off at budanilkantha and take a hike from national park all the way that leads to sundarijal. Lots of natural amenities to see during the hike. There is a fee to enter national park that differs by nationalities.

good place to hang outand we were informed that there are 22 cameras inside the jungle and they will check them at nightwe were kicked out from the waterfallof that place was restricted then you should stick a board or give informationand if you guys dont allow people inside the national park then at the start point you have to inform us not at the end.Thank you 😊

Natural diversity culturally rich and blessings of the nature. Amazing place to hike for a day or 2 days with the permission from the national park authorities. One day hike is amazing from national park entrance to bishnudwar. Peaceful zone with natural habitat. Sounds of the birds and small waterfall gives you relief from your pain while walking. Small wooden bridge makes you more happy at the top of bishnudwar- a 1 day hike end point. Whenever anyones around Kathmandu would recommend this place to hike around and feel the nature.

Highly recommended for one day Hike if you are keen interest on hiking or you are Hiker, its also good for cycling route and many two and three places can be visited for hiking like nagi gumba, tarevir, bagdwar, bishnudwar, chisa pani and sundari jal. Good roads for on foot and the way and easy ladder to to hike. you can choose this hiking root more than 3,4 times as you can go many places from a single point.

I highly recommend this place for a day hike and cycling. Signs with directions and travel times are placed at several junctions, which are very convenient to the hikers. There are several things that are to be improved, (1cleanness, trash bins are to be added (2maintenance of the signs and the trails (3more resting places and toilets (4separate routes for vehicles and hikers. It is annoying when you are hiking and vehicles (motorcycles and carspass through the dusty roads.

Enjoyed alot here but didnt even saw a monkey in the park 😆😆. The cost of ticket is same for everyone (including students too). I experienced snowfall in my life at this place. I enjoyed every moment until it started to rain.

Great hiking place, it is the key water source for Kathmandu in fact 4 rivers flow from here. Its no surprise to find so many water streams and falls here. Veriety of birds, insects, vegetation.

Excellent place for hiking... 14-15 km of trail. Level is medium-hard. Can be done in 4 hours or if we take rest in between then 5-6 hours of hiking. Can reach to Chisopani and have food there

Amazing place so close to the capital. A good one day hike and even availability of homestay around. The forest makes it interesting as well as the water sources are amazing 😍 you can drink directly from the source and the water is like spring water. Very tasty and a recommended place to visit if you are around. Do carry food with you and please dont litter. 🙏
