Shiraz in Goodland

What a gem! Traveling with our two basset hounds and needed a pet friendly place to eat. Shiraz was an unexpected treat. The outside patio was beautiful and had a relaxing waterfall. The food was amazing. I had the sirloin and my husband had a chopped steak. Both were cooked perfectly. Our waitress, Amber was friendly and made our meal enjoyable.Great food. Great vibe and great service. Thank you!

Top notch. Good people and delicious food. The fries are great. And the creamy steak and mushroom soup is delightful. The team is fast and cheerful. The chicken fried steak was just perfect and the NY Strip was juicy and savory. Would go again and again

I had friends dining and while sitting back in Australia I thought they deserved a drink. Called and staff were helpful in delivering the drinks. Great job. Can’t wait to dine here myself.

Great experience! Driving through and stopped for dinner. Very good food and excellent service by Rosie at the bar. Ended up having cocktails and a wonderful conversation with some locals. Would highly recommend.

This is the place in Goodland to go for a great steak! Skip the high priced options on Main Street. They are overrated and have a condecending attitude towards their clientel. Shiraz on the other hand has top quality food and service. We always eat here many times during a visit to Goodland.

From out of state here to visit my wifes family stopped at Shiraz to eat Great Food, Fantastic Staff, and good people be around.

Food was good, staff was nice, but looked at the menu that came up in google and was not even close to the one at the table, selection and price was a mile off

Just passing through, there are limited options for something local. The name seemed pretentious, but Im glad we took a chance. It was friendly & local. The chef probably used more salt than necessary in everyones meals, but it was tasty. Burger & a fajita salad. Most everyone in the place seemed to know each other & they wished us safe travels (without it seeming like they wanted us out of their place.)

Had chicken Alfredo and it was nasty!! Noodles tasted old & leftover, sauce tasted like gravy instead of Alfredo sauce!! We had a good waitress though.

Food was good. Alex was our server and he was very pleasant and got everything out to us in a timely manner. We appreciate good service that also allows us to still converse amongst ourselves.

Great food and atmosphere, the steaks are really good. Although I would like to see a spaghetti 🍝 with meatballs dinner with garlic bread 🍞 too. Otherwise great place to eat.

Absolutely stellar restaurant. Do not miss. The staff/ ownerd were a bit aloof, maybe distracted. But a killer restaurant.I returned here after the first review and had the Shiraz Burger. FANTASTIC. I got an order of onion rings which were as good. When I got the bill I was floored. 8 onion rings for NINE DOLLARS. Granted I should have checked the price but I paid less in Beverly Hills. Great waitress. 1 less star. Ill return.

Good staffing. But when it came down to eating the burgers were pretty char. Maybe it was such a massive order idk.

If you’re passing through Goodland and Shiraz is open, definitely stop by and get their wings!! We got the siracha bourbon and they were delicious. Also we chose some onion rings as a side for our main course and they were good as well. Service is for the most part quick and the staff are all polite.

Found this online. Nice place where the locals go. Good service. We ordered salads. Huge and good value. Was impressed with the salad wedge. However, the hot roast beef sandwich was a bit of a disappointment. The meat was very fatty, and maybe thats a local preference, but had to surgically remove the beef from the fatty bits to enjoy the dish. Not bad overall.

Wow! Just stopped for a bite to eat and what a treat! Fresh food...we ordered the fajahitas and a steak and bean burrito. All fresh sauteed vegetables. The steak was REAL, fresh, tender and full of flavor. It was a nice treat to eat at a family run business, thank you!!! If we ever come back through...you will see us again.

Nothing too fancy, but great bar food. The burgers are delicious and the wraps are big. There isnt anything on the menu I havent liked. I only gave 4 stars because the menu isnt large and it doesnt have the greatest beer selection.

This is a MUST when passing through!!! Amazing steak, and even the broccoli was delicious! The cook, Lou, rivals top chefs and accepted our praise graciously. Also, our server was extremely welcoming, and made us feel at home. <3

Im working in the area and Ive been over here a few times. Their food is absolutely delicious, and I have a lot of respect for the respect that that the waiters/waitresses have for the customer. Theyre very helpful, but not overly helpful like some restaurants Ive been to. If ever Im close to the area in the future, they can count on me being back!

Not a bad place, we stopped by as my dad wanted a steak. They don’t serve steak until after 5pm and that’s fair, however the staff was not very cordial and it seemed as if we where more of a hinder than anything else. I also did not appreciate the fact that I did hear someone in the back stipulate that “ If he wants a glass of milk so bad tell him to get him himself”, honestly if that’s how your staff wants to treat our veterans it’s an honest shame. My dad was not rude, just reminded her about it. Like I said I have worked in this industry before, but if you are just going to be ill mannered then please remove yourself from a job where you need to have people skills. The food however is by all means very good, it’s just the staff.

I rarely feel at home in a place but in this place Ms. Penny made me feel right at home as well as her staff. The food is absolutely phenomenal. I will always eat here when I come through.

Wonderful place to eat. Love working for Penny been with Shriaz over 3 years. No boss has called and checked up on me more then Penny has. End of October I had my baby. In December I was diagnosed with pancreatitis. Just came back to work a month ago haven’t been so happy to work over time. In years ! Thank you Penny for your honesty and this opportunity to work hard for my kids!

Overall I give this restaurant a 2/5 stars. The food overall was good, and sold at an excellent value.We ordered the Shiraz burger with fries and it was phenomenal, however, I would steer clear of their fried chicken menu items. I ordered the ranch club sandwich and the chicken was very tough and stringy, making it difficult to eat. Staff were also not wearing masks, and we were not given any silverware or napkins with our order.

Recently ordered take out with just a simple cheeseburger and fries. The burger was dry, not very juicy. The fries were overcooked to where they were hard all the way through. Only one employee was wearing a mask. Glad I went with the take out option.......

Food was great. Service great but a little slow due to being busy. My group chose to eat here as the sign on the door stated “no mask, no service”, which is our priority during COVID. But, we found that masks were not being enforced, and our waitress stated they were only wearing them because it was the start of hunting season, but normally, the waitresses don’t wear them. There was no distance seating, it was very crowded, and people were walking all around uncovered. I guess they hadn’t heard that nearby Norton County is #4 in the US in infection rates, or they don’t care. Customer safety obviously not important at this establishment.

The waitress was delightful and efficient. The steak was perfectly grilled and had tasty seasoning on it. The bakes potato and salad was complimentary to the steak. A great place to eat.

Not actually serving outside, as stated in details on Google Maps. We asked to eat on the patio on a nice Saturday evening and were told that it was closed. Menu is limited and prices a little high. No employees were wearing masks at all, despite state-wide order. We opted to go elsewhere.

It was quaint and delicious! Stopped in on our very long trip to Denver and it was just what we needed to refuel and be back on our way.

Some of our food was cold. The baked potatoes come out with no butter or sour cream. There was 7 people in our party. Some had good food. Some did not. Bar had no gin. Waittress was wonderful!!! Did her best.

Went here for lunch today. Food was great, and at the beginning the service was great. Then all but 1 server disappeared. I sat and waited 40 minutes to pay my bill so I could leave. I had to threaten to walk out without paying to one of the servers just to pay my bill. Its sad when you have to threaten to leave for someone to take your money. If I ever return here to wat again, if my server dont take my money in a reasonable time frame, Im just going to walk out

I ate here twice, both times it was to go, pork chops on day one, both were cooked well, but you cant order until after 5pm. Pork chops were dry and tough, mashed potatoes were real not instant, very good with gravy.2nd day was fried chicken which is offered only on Wednesday, good flavor, bit dry, I ordered 2 legs and a breast, again, sides were good. Salad consisted of 2 olives, a banana pepper croutons and lettuce, but not leaf lettuce. They missed my bread on day 2. Overall, however. Food was good, not great, but good. Atmosphere of the place was a bit VFW feel. But as there is not much around... its not bad.

Down here working few days and the lady at the hotel recommended this place. Wasnt too crowded and service was good; Joslyn was my server and was very nice and welcoming. The dining area was very clean and comfortable and, I felt, well done. The sirloin I ordered was good but not great, but it was cooked exactly to order, something Ive found to be puzzlingly difficult to come across lately. This may seem an odd point, but I really appreciated their mixed veggies werent the typical chewy boiled knobs and stubs Ive found to be the norm, but had zucchini and other tasty additions that, to me, said they cared a bit. And Ill add this as a PostScript review: the Kansas Territory Time Portal Breakfast Brown Ale I ordered off tap was brilliant. Best Ive had of the variety. All in all, it was a pleasant and relaxing way to wrap up the day. Id go again.Edit: really, after thinking about it, Id drop it maybe half a star due to the underwhelming choices for tap beers, as the brown was the only one not a Bud or Coors light sort. I was really surprised by this.

Food was AWSOME and DELICIOUS. had the nachos as a app, and then the Chipotle sandwich and let me tell you thats the best food in this small town. Heads up it is a bar/ dinning type place very loud but awsome atmosphere!!! FRESH AND FAST FOOD

Went to dinner on a Friday night. Great service from an older lady. We ordered the ribs, and they were delish! The steak was cooked exactly the way we requested. I will definitely come back to try other dishes next time.
