When you have chance to travel to Korea later, please email me (alexminkipark@gmail.com)Thank you and we will miss you all.Take care.Sincerely,Park Family
This mom and pop shop has the best Korean food Ive ever had. Every time Ive been there Ive loved it. I really recommend starting with a kimchi pancake
It was awesome. The owner or main guy was super super nice. Super professional service. Food was awesome so much goodness. The atmosphere ia really chill rhere I liked it.But what really won me over is the owner or main dude. He talked with my kiddos super friendly . He was kind and polite just superb. It was like Mr. Rogers except korean.Check it out hope you get the Korean Mr rogers experience.
My favorite Korean restaurant! All other Korean restaurants are compared to this one. The beef bulgolgi, kimchi stew, vegetable pancake, bibimbap, and japchae noodles are all soooooo good. The prices are fantastic also. It is just Mr Seon and his wife so expect to wait if they are busy but it is worth it!
Very friendly and quick service! Large portions, most items on the menu are meant to be shared. I am obsessed with their Bimbimbap! Kid friendly casual dinning, not expensive either!
Friendly staff! Affordable meal! I got a spicy octopus lunch meal for less than 9$
The mose incredible, fresh, soul nourishing food. Magical atmosphere. GREAT lunch specials!! Pictured is the stir fried squid lunch special 🥘
Ate here while visiting from out of town. This place is FANTASTIC. Reminds me of any restaurant I would eat at in Seoul. Food and atmosphere are authentic. Dolsot bibimbap is a MUST.
Friendly professional service and great food! I’m here in Redstone for training and had a taste for Korean, so my classmates and I decided to give Shinsegae a try. Best Korean food I’ve had!!! Thanks for supporting the troops!
Everyone at the restaurant is so friendly! Sometimes there is a bit of a wait for the food, but it is well worth it. The food tastes great! My husband and I have been here several times to both eat in and get food to go. The food is always packaged with care when we order to go. High recommend!!
They said go here if you want authentic Korean food. Indeed this is the right place to go when you crave for Korean food. I love the bibimbap! They have the regular bowl bibimbap (still huge for meand they have the bigger plate(sizzlingtoo. So what i love also is that tea is free, kimchi, spicy cucumber, other two side dishes are also free. Be warned that lunch time would take longer for your food to be served since theres a lot of people there. So maybe go there when its not busy. Although the outside may look a little run down, but the food is great and staff were very nice.
Absolutely the best Korean food around. Service is spectacular you wont find more caring staff/owners. I could easily eat here multiple times a week, its delicious and affordable.
Great athentic korean food, best in town!
The owner is always super friendly. Service is slow but totally understandable. They only have 3 people work there. But it feels like home cooked meal all the time. Their mackerel grill always taste fantastic.
Great food, personal atmosphere. Owner really cares about your experience. The food is just as good as the small Korean cafe I regularly visited in Florida. I would suggest the Bulgogi to a first timer, the Dolsot Bibimbop (Hot Potto someone looking for something a bit more involved.
Absolutely delicious! Very nice bibimbap and I thoroughly enjoyed the ramen. Some of the best Korean Ive had in the area, and the prices were great too. Our food came out hot and fresh within minutes of ordering.
Awesome kimchi, little fishcakes, and other sides. I had Japchae bulgogi this time and it was sooooo tender with lovely cellophane noodles. Their Gun-mandu is a great appetizer. Just cant get enough. 😊
Very good Korean. Ive been several times and have always had a great meal. Decor isnt real fancy, but who cars about that. I recommend this place and Ill go again.
This is my favorite Korean place in Huntsville ! Ive been coming here for years now. I usually alternately order between their Jabchae Bugogi(the glass noodle with beefand their Sondobu jigae( the tofu soup). I recently discovered that their Dolsot Bibimbap is really good, too but I didnt take a picture of it !
Outstanding food! This place has the best beef bullgogi I have ever had. This includes what I ate in 3 years living in South Korea! Great hospitality.
Fantastic small Korean joint. Husband and wife running it I believe. Great food and super polite. Its become my wifes favorite place to eat when we are on that side of town. They give you a few small appetizer style plates (almost tapas liketo hold you over while they cook. Food comes out fairly quick normally though.
This is one of those places you leave feeling so good and full of food that you need to take a nice nap afterwards. The owner is such a hard worker and the employees know what theyre doing when it comes to making some good food! I would 100% recommend this place to anyone!
My daughter went to South Korea a couple of years ago and really liked the food. This was the 2nd time we ate at Shinsegae with her. She always orders for us and eat family style (or share the food). Its all delicious!!
This is my favorite Korean place to eat in all of Huntsville and the owner is one of the nicest people Ive ever met. While the atmosphere may not be the greatest the amazing food makes up for it. Sometimes the wait can be longer than expected but you always get a few small plates to snack on while your food is being prepared. If you like Korean food, I 100% recommend you try this place out.
Ive been coming here for so many years now and am never disappointed. The food is so good and the owners are super nice and friendly! This is where you can get closest to kbbq in Huntsville. Order Samyeopsal to eat with 2-3 people (dinner only). Love this restaurant and highly recommend!
The food was great! One guy acted as our waiter, server, and cashier. He had a very positive attitude the whole time even though he was very busy. The smell was awesome!
This is an experience that any asian food lovers should experience. The service was friendly and fast, the dining room is spacious and inviting. The food is great, the presentation is mouth watering. Im glad this is near our house, we will be back.
If youre a fan of authentic Korean food, then Shinsegae is absolutely somewhere you need to eat! Went for the first time the other day and was pleased to be seated quickly. After ordering my food, it took about 5-10 minutes for it to come out. The man serving me was super sweet and the food was so great! It tasted just like the food my Korean friends made for me while they were living in America. It is certainly not some Americanized version of Korean food. It was also a heaping plateful! I didnt leave hungry. It was a great price, too. I believe I paid less than $15 total that night for my food/drink (including tax and tipand I will certainly be returning for some more yummy food!
I love this spot! The owners are very welcoming and the service was excellent. The menu didnt have much variety but had the staple Korean dishes youd expect. The food came out very fast and was very delicious! I will be visiting this location many more times in the future.
Love this place. The food is definitely not American but it is amazing. I always leave satisfied. Never been to south Korea but if the food is like this I may need to move there. Avoid the ramen but everything else is great.
I enjoyed my Korean lunch experience. The food arrived quickly and was delicious.
Amazing, authentic Korean food. The owner is kind and the food is delicious.
Okay this place is real Korean food. We had some really nasty water once but after that we always had ice water that same normal. I love the plates that come hot on the clay pots but the other food is good as well. They are closed on Mondays so dont plan on eating then. The staff is friendly but theyre not a really big establishment
Was really disappointed with our experience at this restaurant today. We had eaten here before and it was really great. Today, the food seemed like it was old and just reheated. The edges of the steamed dumplings were hard, and the bulgogi seemed dry, came out warm and was cold within a few minutes like they just put it in a hot plate and didn’t cook it when we ordered. Won’t be coming back.
Our view: this is the best Korean food in Huntsville, AL. I havent had anything here that I didnt love. Also, the owner is usually at the front desk and is so friendly.
Spicy and delectable. The kimchi was the best Ive had in a long while. Nice little place, good lunch prices.
I was so excited to go here for some supposed authentic Korean food. I was very sadly disappointed. The food was nothing close to great. They did a horrible yukgaejang. Was mainly Kim chi chigae with a little piece of beef. Not at all authentic. I am going to stick to my other Korean restaurant, I Love Korea, much better food.
Great Korean food lunch stop. Ive driven by it a dozen times and it didnt look like much but I was thoroughly impressed with everything prepared. If looking for a 10 dollar sit down lunch and you enjoy Korean food you cant go wrong with this choice.
Very authentic Korean cuisine with excellent flavor and texture. The service was a little slow due to the minimal staff, with the lunch period (11:00-1:00being the worst. Be patient if you wish to eat then.Otherwise, consider eating lunch late (at 1:00 or afteror go for an early dinner.
If you love those hidden-gem, hole-in-the-wall restaurant experiences where the food blows away you expectations, go here. Best Korean in Huntsville, and yes I understand how bold that statement is. This is where the other Koreans eat.
Best Korean food in Huntsville. Family owned and operated, a very awesome group of people. The food is fresh, and tasty and the service is fantastic. Highly recommended.
This was my first time and it was amazing. My family has eaten here before but I never had the opportunity until tonight. Lets just say when Im in the mood for Korean these guys will see me. Had the Spicy Stir - Fried Pork which was awesome. Shinsegae is honestly your "friendly neighbor Korean Mom & Pop Shop" They say dont overlook your local gems and Ive had overlooked this place so many times. Does more than hit the spot for your Bulgoogi cravings. Need to bless my friends now.
It was wonderful! I ate the 짜장면 and my mom ate 불고기! Both were delicious! The service was also very good and he was very friendly~ The 김치 was also really good too! Recommend to anyone who wants to try Korean food out!
Authentic Korean food, but the building is old and a little run down. I hear that it can get crowded sometimes and the owner has a little trouble keeping up so service gets slow. If you love Asian food and do not mind the shabby digs, put it on your list to try.
I love this place.Though the location looks sketchy from the road, the husband is SO friendly. Service is a bit slow since it is literally just him serving and his wife cooking, but the food is wonderful. Cant recommend this place enough.
Good food but not great. Understaffed and busy the night i went. Rice was crunchy on one end and not purposefully so. My soup had no tripe in it but tasted like it. The servers were friendly but stressed with the load of customers
One of Huntsvilles hidden gems. Check it out - perfect example of how hole in the wall places are always the best
If you havent ever had Korean food and want to try some thats delicious and authentic, then look no further. Its a casual, cosy, and slow place. Service will be a bit slow, so dont go if youre in a hurry or have somewhere to be. Id recommend trying their mild barley tea (poricha).
The food is amazing and the people are very nice. Very authentic atmosphere! If youre into Korean food and youre anywhere near this is the place! Today we drove an hour to get here.
Awesome food and great prices. This place is run by a 2 person team with the wife cooking and the husband waiting on customers. It feels like the Korean mother you never had is cooking for you.
