Shinsaibashi is the main shopping area in Osaka. Lots and lots of shops and restaurants. And even more tourists crowded the area. However, one must visit Shinsaibashi while in Osaka even if just to soak up the energy and vibe of the city. Go at night for a dazzling night view with all the neon signs. There is sure to be something, whether shopping or dining, for everyone.

Another must go area in Osaka. Multiple parking areas nearby and train stations. So many cool shops and restaurants to explore.

Shinsaibashi-Sub is 600 metres of retail therapy from discount to high end, surrounded by more shopping and tonnes of places to eat on the side streets. Id read about it but nothing could prepare me for the experience. It cant be rushed, mainly because of the crowds, but also because there is just so much to see and buy.If you do need a break, I recommend a 20 minute cruise on the Dotonbiri river. It was fun, even with a light drizzle.

There were hundreds of shops lined up here. I see people actually bring luggage bags with them here so they can carry all of their shopping! Many different stores here from shoes, clothes, second hand luxury bags, cosmetics as well as restaurants. Its a very long walk and I was pretty exhausted by the time I got to the end.

What a place! Quite busy and a little overwhelming. SO MANY DRUG STORES and theyre no different from each other.Some really cool alternative, Japanese clothing stores. You need to allow time to go through exploring.

A lively shopping district in Osaka. This is where the Dotonbori food area is located. Always crowded, if youre not fond of that, you may visit the Umeda area instead. After shopping, be sure to try out Osakas food selections.

Great place for shopping, grabbing some dinner, grabbing some famous street food like takoyaki. With many other famous shops like Pokemon Cafe, Pablo(cheese tarts), bside label(stickers), coffee shops everywhere, pharmacies and convenience stores all along the market. It is very long it extends 3 - 4 train stationsShops are everywhere and so are the restaurants and food stalls.

Cleanliness of the shopping center is the staple of Japan. Even with a lot of food vendors, Japanese cleanliness is actually very contagious and should be adopted globally. Top brands are in Shin sai bashi and also mid tier ones like prada, coach and uniqlo. GU is also a good one.

Full of shops with local and international brand. A lot of tourist and local will go around and hunt for goodies. There are bakery, restaurant, cosmetic shop, luxury branded goods, second hand goods, local shopping mall, disney merchant shop, jewellery shop, ice cream shop, dessert shop, ocha merchant shop and etc. Full of vibrant colour and people. Eatery place can be very crowded during peak hours which the famous 1 is always having queue. They are almost more expensive compare to other places.

A must see in Osaka!!! So pretty, huge variety of stores and restaurants. The best gems are in the side streets. Please don’t eat at McDonald’s it’s such a pity! There are authentic places nearby!

Its a very long street with a roof thats been built over the street. As such, it makes for great shopping.The variety of shops though, leaves a bit to be desired. Its mostly shops selling skin care, shoes, clothes, and snacks. There are no shops selling electronics.

What can I say?This was my favourite place in Osaka, where shopping, food, and drinks were all in one place. Super populous, most especially in the secondhand stores of AUTHENTIC branded items. Well, if youre looking for those - this is the place to be!My friend bought an Hermes choker for 16000 Yen (7500 pesosonly!Don Quijote branches were all over this area so I was hassle-free with the souvenirs. My AirBnb was just a station away from Namba, 2 from Shinsaibashi so it was just okay.

A really Long street of amazing stores, restaurants, international brand, department stores and more. You will find something here for yourself.The street links to Dotombori and it’s great. There’s so many stores that you can just walk in and take a look. The best stores are the 300yen stores, drugstore if you need cheap face wash, drugs, cream etc.I have walked this street so many times and there’s still so many things to see. Highly recommended!There’s many restaurant that offers amazing food here and Dotombori.

Amazing experience. The amount of people you see up and about did it for me. It teaches you something of how we live our lifes. So many people, so much mass consumption, just an experience if you wish to see it that way. .Am sure you can do some amazing shopping here. Its right of the Mainstreet with all the exclusive expensive shops. This area clearly is for all and seems affordable in comparison.

So many people even on weekdays. Many tourist so the place crowded and we can see many thrash in the walkway. However, good spot for shopping or sightseeing.

Pretty amazing in all honesty. Im from Australia and we have nothing nowhere near as family orientated, couple romantic, group hangout worthy and shopping worthy as this street. Awesome Walking street with heaps of shopping stores and street food stores. You’ll never get bored with this street. And the best part is whenever you get into this street again, you’ll feel it completely new in your experience with its vividness, vibe and lovely street decoration.Note: the street is always filled with the crowd even on weekdays.Will I come back here again? So many places to shop but it is often overcrowded and its hard to decide what to do with all the people around. Come earlier in the afternoon for food as we missed a lot of the stores being open when we showed up after 7 ish. But tons of shopping for an interesting experience.

The best place for shopping at Osaka, i buy some legging from Uniqlo, bag from Anello, some of cosmetic. A lot of of branded outlet like onitsuka tiger, asiic shoes, HnM, Uniqlo and many more. So many people, crowded but you will like. Must visit when you at Osaka.

Home to whatever shop you need, be it food, bags, clothing, Apple store and many more. Is also home for more second hand dealers that sell branded items. LV PRADA HERMES ROLEX OMEGA TUDOR and many more. Beware of the Chinese tourists who can be pretty rude and try to block your way.

Everytime Im in Osaka, this is the first destination I visit. Great atmosphere. From the time the stores open at 11, till they close, local shopper and tourist shower the streets. Many interesting stores, and some interesting restaurant. Try some of the local restaurants, some offering local Okonomiyaki dishes to sushi and many more.

It has a lot of drugstore and each of them are always crowded especially by Chinese tourists because its tax free for touristsIts daiso is one of the biggest in Osaka with so many foods selections, buy what you like, it might be different with other branchesAnother store i love is Pablo as not every store has Pablo miniThe street is so long so if you dont have enough time, just pick few store that you really need to see

If you need to find a certain thing, such as a certain shoe or a certain shirt, you might find them here, amongst the millions of people. We were trying to get a size 12 shoe for my husband, and we found a suitable American brand in a good color and acceptable price. Or maybe if you just want to see the random stuffs that Osaka has to offer. It has many shops upstairs too. Needless to say you must hope on to your kids tight, I saw a lady who frantically looked for her kid here. I wont say that all the stores have wheelchair accessible entrance. But they seem to open till at least 9. If I have to stay around here Id choose somewhere further because it could be noisy.

This is an iconic place for Osaka. You must come to this place whenever you are in Osaka. It is a must experience even if you have no plans of shopping. Just people watching here is amazing. Of course there are so many shops to choose from. Be aware though that they close at exactly 9 pm even when there are still people inside the stores. Food, Clothes, Shoes, Cosmetics, Bags, you want it they got it. The place has free wifi so if you need to call your family abroad to shop for them then this feature is great. Taxis are also available on the main streets. The place is so clean and very tourist friendly.

A must stop if you come to visit Osaka! Not only bif dept store but also smaller shops. The price quite competitive compared in Tokyo so better you shop here. The street is clean and protected from rains. Many food shop also and very crowded even on weekdays.

Great place to hang out after walking along the river of Dotombori. Crowded but not fast paced.There are lots of hidden shops in this area so keep your eyes peeled for such so that you dont miss out on special deals.. hehehe.. the good thing is that we came d month of December when things get more festive.Past the arcade we walked, there was also a light display on d trees and it looked pretty if u have a great camera to shoot those photos. Great place in Osaka, Japan for shopping. I suggest you take 1 day shopping around Shinsaibashi cause the place is crowdy. Wear compfortable footwear cause youre going to walk a lot. I noticed that there are cheap accommodations around the area. I only went there once but if I get an opportunity again to travel in Japan, I will definitely go back there to shop for souvenirs and goods to take home for family and friends.❤❤❤

Quit busy but overall a great experience with plenty of neon lights and great shops seemingly endless, going on and on which was great!The river running through part of it too makes for some lovely nighttime scenery again glowing with those lights. Life here in Ōsaka seems more relaxed than places such as Tōkyō but still vibrant and lively.If you speak English then dont worry, much more people here than average for Japan understand or at least speak a bit of English to help you out, obviously try to learn some Japanese to make life easier but it was quite welcome.Theres plenty of tako-yaki here too, the number 1 is definitely more expensive but its bloody delicious as its about as fresh as can be due to them being constantly inundated with customers.You could easily spend a day just here and not see everything but still feel super fulfilled.

Excellent place for shopping! Large arcade full of brand name. Many people on the area and lots of tourists. This is the place to go shopping for everything.

Best shopping spot in osaka. A lot of food stores and interesting performances. Do be careful that a lot of people during weekend. And do be aware of cars and bicyle on the road since no traffic light is available inside. A lot of local Japanese can be found there too. But be considerate coz most shop can be found in your own city.

So crowded but its so much fun to get wander. Hop from one to another shop. Compare the price to get the best price. I spent 3 hours in this arcade. If you are a shopaholic, its the best place and a must visit! But, embrace yourself for tax refund queue. After a long walk, you can buy some snack in Dotonburi because there are so many food stalls, and enjoy the view in Dotonburi Canals.

Shinsaibashi! Great place to do some last minute shopping for gifts to take home! Few blocks down there are plenty of animal cafes, most shops are tax-free, but make sure to try clothes on as they do run on the small end, although Uniqlo and H&M should be a bit more catering. Very very busy at night. Just be careful when walking around there are people everywhere you look, a think carefully when suddenly stopping or turning around.
