I came here first 8 years back, I liked the ambiance. This is dedicated to our countrys premier artist Joynul Abedin.But this time, I was disappointed.None of the Air conditioners were working in the art gallery, where temperature is very important for preserving certain arts.The staff behavior was decent.If youre an art lover, its the perfect place to be.

The place that reminds us about our greatest artist of all time. Surrounded with lawn, park and the river Buriganga, this place will compel you to say, "What a perfect location! "

Definately Nice open green yard will attract you which is by the river Brahmaputra and at the edge of park. Museum is in the 2nd floor. A good collection of sketches and specious galleries. An worthy place to pay a visit.

The museum is decorated with paintings and biographies of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin. It is forbidden to take pictures of the interior here. On the opposite side is an aesthetic park named after him. Throughout the day, people from all over the city come here for leisure.

Nice historical place

Nicely maintained the musium. Inside, lot of paintings of Shailpacharjo Zainul Abedin, his used dress, paint brush stored for visitors sight. Anyone can be fascinated by seeing it. Outside the building, there is huge open space to roam around. Babys enjoy it most. Staffs are cordial and interactive with visitors. I recommend to visit with children and family with leisure time.

A great place to visit and gain knowledge about our pride sir zainul abedin. Here you can see used paint brush, coat, pant, shirt, bed, shoes and lots of stafs used by zainul abedin. It is a museum run by the National Museum of Bangladesh, which preserves the remarkable paintings of the famous painter Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin. It is located on the banks of the old Brahmaputra river at the northern end of the city.After the inauguration, the official activities of the museum started on July 7. The museum was renovated in 2006. There are management rooms downstairs and air-conditioned photo galleries on the second floor. At the back of the main building, along with the managers quarters, 3 cottages have been set up which are used for temporary accommodation of the artisans.The land on which it is located is a two-storey building with a total area of ​​3.69 acres. The entire courtyard is surrounded by vegetation.The Deputy Commissioner of Mymensingh was in charge of the management of the museum from 1985 to 1999. In 1999, it was declared as a branch of the National Museum of Bangladesh. Since then, it has been operating under the auspices of the National Museum. A total of 16 officers are working full time here

The museum must have proper temperature and humidity control for the artworks, otherwise it will be difficult to preserve the works of art by Zainul. 4 star for the collection that they have.

Located in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. A must visit place if you come in this part of the country. This a museum where you will find the paintings, drawings, portraits of our pride Sir Zainul Abedin & history of his life. A nice & quite place with gardens in surrounding and situated on the bank of river Brahmaputra which has Its own fame! Reasonable priced tickets to enter, 20 BDT per adult, less for children. Ticket price is double for the foreigners. There is also a nice park adjacent to it which is free & open for all, having kids play facilities, food shops and good place to spent time with friends & families!

Biggest park in mymensingh its very nice and safty park for family and friends.

Few notes are below.1. Timing:Friday. 3.00 to 8.00 pm & other day 10.00 to 5.00 pm.2. All collection are nicely arranged.3. All of the painting are original, only few are(4 art are digital print).4. You cannot take photo of these painting as snapshot from mobile or camera are prohibited.5. You have buy a ticket to enter on art gallery.6. Art gallery is on the 2nd floor.7. A short story is continually running on the wall TV at art gallery.8. Beside this art gallery, one nice park is there, I recommend to visit these park.

This Shangrahashala was established in 1975. It is situated in the bank of Brahmaputra river. There are about 70 drawings & paintings of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin in this museum. Zainul Abedin was famous fine artist. He was born in Kishorgonj and lived in Mymensingh town. He studied in Kolkata Art School. The Shangrahashala is enriched with many famous work of Zainul. Medona 43, Monpura 70, Sangram are notable. The Shangrahashala premises is beautiful.
