Sheraton Old San Juan Hotel in San Juan

Very clean and comfortable rooms with a great location for visitors. Plenty of places to eat at various prices. Everyone should take in the history of Old San Juan simply by walking around.

The location was great we were able to walk to many shops and restaurants. We enjoyed the Rum Punch as we entered the hotel. The staff was very helpful. We did have an issue with the AC in our room they came very quickly to address the issues and compensated us.

Great location. Staff goes far an beyond to accommodate their guest. Very nice rooms and restaurant. The pool stays open until late at night and has a Walgreens below their restaurant. Highly recommend.

This is kinda of an old review because I came here in 2019 to go on a cruise but my experience was pretty good. Its a nice hotel that had a restaurant on top, everything was walking distance expect if you need to go to the store like Walmart you will have to call a cab.

The personnel was extremely helpful, the rooms are nice and the location is awesome. Right in Old San Juan very close to a lot of restaurants, cafes and nightlife, all walking distance. Honestly, not a very luxurious place but I wasn’t looking for that so it was perfect for me. Our room was very clean and the staff was very courteous.

Ive traveled the world (6 continents, over 100 countries, all 50 states, and 14 Caribbean destinations). Many of these destinations included Marriott related hotels, and I was always satisfied.The 1st and 2nd floors give the appearance of a Marriott worthy hotel, but that is where it ends. Everything from the elevator, carpeting, and furniture is either damaged or dated (the headboard in room 912 was torn, and most of the power outlets were worn out).During my four-night stay, I only encountered about four people who I would consider friendly.Not having any outdoor seating areas was definitely a major minus, and not having a way to cross the street during rain because of running water, was very inconvenient.The worst part of my stay was housekeeping. The coffee cups and coffee were not re-filled, the carpet was not vacuumed (there was a leave about 1 1/2" right next to the bed and plenty of other indicators that it needed cleaning), the toilet was not cleaned at all, and after the bed was made, the soiled mattress was exposed.

The staff were helpful and gave us great advice. The location was amazing with a nice view. The problem is the place is in need of a remodel. Our room smelled like water was getting in somewhere and there were plenty of cosmetic issues.

Waste of points. The lobby and staff were nice but that’s where it ended. Loud, dirty and run down rooms. Moldy smelling hallways. An upgrade to a “balcony” room was a joke as you can’t even fit on the balcony. The headboard leather was torn. There was mold on the carpet by the balcony. There was a layer of dust on the bathroom shelves. Super disappointing and a total waste of my BonVOY points. We would have changed hotels but only stayed one night prior to departure from the airport.

Dont forget to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking a stay. This site will compare countless booking websites and typically will have rates a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later! This place is the best rated in the area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you stay for a few days you for sure wont be let down.Great location. Everything you need was within a 10 minute walk or less. Beach was 15 minute drive.

Stayed here for a destination wedding.Gave it 2 stars because I stayed in the suite, which was decent. But on arrival, my baby 6 months and I were sleeping on the pull out sofa couch bed. Upon pulling it out, there were still linens from the previous guest still on the bed. Nasty. I called down, and Denni said he’ll tell housekeeping. Well housekeeping brought me 3 flat sheets. He did not want to come into the room to strip the dirty bed. He told me to remove it and place it in the hall. Lol…a joke. I had to call down once again for a blanket, he brought me a sheet lol. Told me they had no more baskets. Lol. Imagine? They need to work on cleanliness !!!!!!Now upon arriving back home to NY, many of my family members who stayed there HAVE HAD FRAUD ON THEIR CARDS THAT THEY HAD ON FILE AT THIS HOTEL. Flight tickets were booked on peoples cards, my sisters card was tried 10 times to make purchases…just multiple fraudulent transactions on everyone’s card. Pls beware.The place is in a nice spot. But needs a lot of work.

Rooms need improvements regarding the "cleaning part" befero delivering the room.to guests... but other than that everything was perfect.Custummer attendance was fabulous and food were great too!!Hotels views were also espectacular.Even with our bad experience with the rooms cleaning (dirty, towel not on time, dirty coff mugs, and others), we still reccomend it for all the other good things.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. Rooms are a bit dated but clean. Really loved eating at Palio. Sliders on tostones were great!

Had a terrific stay. The hotel and rooms were nice (as expectedbut the staff were extraordinary! Everyone was very friendly, helpful, and efficient.

Cant find a better Old San Juan location for touring the city, a pleasant morning walk, shopping, and finding good eats beyond the nearby fast food choices.Even during the busiest times hotel staff at all levels were responsive and eager to help. Needs were attended to throughout a 7-night stay, and upon checkout the staff offered an unsolicited adjustment for issues of inconvenience, much appreciated.Nice, clean fitness center.Could not find a restaurant within the city to take reservations for our wedding rehearsal dinner. Although PALIO Restaurant (within the hotelcurrently had no full dinner menu, the staff and chef created quite a memorable evening for us in a private setting where we were served continuous....delicious....Tastings of Tapas. They were rock stars.A very nice stay.

This is a great location with friendly staff. Room was reasonably sized, but a little dark. There are better Marriott properties in the San Juan metro area, but none as well situated in Old San Juan, walking distance to shops, restaurants, and history.

My wife and I stayed here about 3 weeks ago and I have to say it’s a nice build in a great location. But we were not aware that there would be construction going on. It was really upsetting when we got woken up at 9 after a long night. It was drilling and concrete wall cutting non stop.The manager seems unconcerned about our discomfort and didn’t offer any accommodations or discount.If you want to stay someone in old San Juan and enjoy your sleep don’t stay here. The construction is going to go on for months according to the manager.

Located along the bay front and cruise ship docks with great views of the bay and Central mountains. An excellent starting point to explore all that Old San Juan has to offer. A professional front desk and a responsive staff. Concierge service is efficient and capable of fulfilling all your needs.

The hotel feels a bit rundown. The gym was pretty dirty and there were no cleaning supplies around to clean up the equipment as it was being used. We were told we would have a king sized bed. It was a queen 😢. The hotel is in an amazing location though, with great views over the water.

Great location. Everything you need was within a 10 minute walk or less. Beach was 15 minute drive.Front desk greeted you as soon as you walk up, there was freshly made rum punch for the guests. They had happy hour each night from 5-7pm. While breakfast is not included with every guests stay, they do have breakfast until 9:30am each morning.Room was clean and spacious and I had a balcony door that opened that overlooked the Cafe and you had a perfect view.Walgreens was next door for any emergency needs and there was a bellhop on duty until late evening.I truly enjoyed my stay amd hope to return soon.

Horrible and Unprofessional!This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at.For starters the room was nothing like the room described online when I made my reservation. It was extremely small and cramped.The shower curtain was dirty/moldy, the TV remote didnt work, the safe didnt work, there was one lamp with a burnt out light bulb that was suppose to illuminate the entire room, one of the windows had some kind of fabric/cover taped to it instead of an actual curtain and to top it off the staff was very rude/unprofessional and could use some training on customer service!The hotel looked nothing like the pictures. It is very dated and in desperate need of a renovation.What was suppose to be a wonderful experience, turned into a nightmare. I have no desire to stay here again nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone else.Do yourself a favor and make a reservation anywhere but here!

This is a great place to be! Stunning view of cruise ships stopping by in the San Juan Port Terminal or exiting San Juan bay. The hotel is near restaurants, bars, cafes, beaches, shopping and Puerto Rico historic sites. Room was neat clean and service was excellent. I would definitely stay in this hotel again.
