Pretty cool little lake. Very good for kayaking and fishing.

This is a great little lake. $2 a day use fee ($4 for fishingeasy spot to get kayaks or SUP in and out of the water. Gravel parking.

Shell Lake itself is a wonderful place for a contemplative kayak paddle or a little fishing. The only downside is limited parking and the rough condition of the parking area.

My daughter and her beyoncé Cody took us out there yesterday and it was amazing beautifully out there I loved it so much Cody called a couple fish but thats about it was on the boat had a wonderful time though never knew that place existed what a beautiful place

Beautiful lake! Peaceful. Very calm even on a windy day at nearby Keystone lake, great fishing, breathtaking scenic views. People who live here are so lucky. No swimming as it is used for city water. Caretaker was knowledgeable and nice. This lake hosts kayak tournaments. There are sauger and saugeye in the lake. Enjoy!

Beautiful and very quiet, unlike other small lakes in the area.

Great place to kayak, the bluffs act as a natural wind break in most spots on the water. The portapotty is nasty most of the time, sorry ladies. That is the only down side.

For the only area for public access, it is a small area. But beautiful scenery. The road over the dam is a ONE lane road. Plan to go back to public area and try the fishing. Since I am 65, it is no charge for me.

Wanted to fish but water was low. Spent 25$for year long pass hope water isnt low all the time.

Really nice little lake. Extremely clean and quiet and inexpensive. Two dollars a day for beautiful nature and birds and bugs. Theres aPerfect ramp area for 🛶🏄🏻boating and fishing or paddle-boarding or kayaking. Lots to explore and discover, plenty of fish to catch. Usually not too busy in the mornings around 8 AM to 10 AM when I’ve been there.Contrary to the listing, it is not a good place for children or pets. Adults and young adults will enjoy this lake.

Still pretty good considering how high the water is and has been for weeks. sloped just right and plenty wide enough. The gravel road leading down to it needs some more gravel and there needs to be more parking.
