Excellent and wonderful collections of various materials found from the several years long ago and beautiful collections of vintage Cars. Many collections of the materials belonged to Rulers of earlier centuries and being used by the warriors being displayed and give a perfect view of it. The traditional costumes and wearable give you a great capture of beautiful hand works executed. Throughout the years and few of then even more than 1000 years ago the weapons used are being displayed. Ultimate range of ceramics and metal pots, bowls and plates etc. A tradition Qatari house view a perfect sightseeing. Collection of fisheries and equipment along with the tools and mechanisms of earlier stages. A deep digged well about 200 mtrs in depth give a experience to pull up off the water by a rope rolled by pulley. Collections of compass and navigating devices used in earlier years. Overall a great and beautiful experience to visit this Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum surrounded by nature beauty with greenery and birds.

Once inside it is full of local information and Qatar history. Beautifully displayed and layout. On arrival you are greeted with Arabic tea and friendly staff. The price is very reasonable and only 30QAR if you are a teacher! Children under 12 are free. We didnt use the guide but was a tour for children and they were guided around the museum with a fun map/treasure hunt. There is so much to explore and take in that I feel the need to visit again-its too much for one trip. I particularly enjoyed the display of classic cars.

The collection amassed by the sheikh (and his fatheris multifarious and personal in nature. Its an interesting journey through Arabian historical artefacts and a valuable insight into the history of Qatari people through the Sheikhs collection of photographs and family trees.

This is a huge private collection of a Qatari billionaite. It is mostly islamic art, but also odd items from all over the world. The quality of items varies (some furniture pieces are gorgeous, though), the labelling is not great, but what really counts is general experience.

If you havent visited this place yet, you are missing a lot. This museum is like a travel in time , you will be able to see more than 30 000 items from weaponry to carpets, clothes, vases, households, cars, planes, boats and many other. And all of these items are the personal collection of cheikh Faisal himself. The place is also good for kids they can get a map and do some sort of treasure hunt. There is a coffee shop, but when I went it wasnt serving any food, only beverages. Pictures are allowed inside.

Located outside the city in a traditional style fort at Al Samriya Farm, the Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum houses the Sheikh’s personal collection, with a body of works including Islamic art, Qatari heritage, vehicles, handmade carpets, and coins & currency, from over four continents. What a diverse collection. Across 50 years, Sheikh Faisal amassed an enormous collection of artifacts and memorabilia. While it does take some driving to get to, this museum is a must see as it is also housed within a preserved fortress. From Samurai armour to classic cars, every room has something to explore.

A great collection of all of the bits and bobs that a man of such standing accumulated over the years. From ancient arrowheads to an aeroplane and everything in between. A good couple of hours spent outside the centre of Doha city. Easy to use Metro to the end of the line at Al Riffa (by Mall of Qatarthen Uber final part. (Though remote you can get a taxi for the return back to the Metro!)Only negative is that museum is currently being reorganised so many of the cars that form part of the collection are not currently on display.

The Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum is a privately owned museum located in the municipality of Al-Shahaniya in Qatar, 20km westward of the capital. Sheikh Faisals enthusiasm for collecting initially elements of cultural heritage and ultimately share them with the public as his rapidly growing collection soon became too large to be housed in a private setting. All of the artifacts in the museum were collected by Sheikh Faisal over a span of 50 years. There are 15 halls in the museum with a total of over 15,000 artifacts grouped into four main categories: Islamic art, vehicles, coins and currency, and traditional Qatari artifacts. Impressive collection, I truly recommend ...

This is one of the biggest private museum in Qatar. This is located almost 25 Km outside the city.Pros- Can see various antique pieces which collected from across the world (mostly Asian and African countries)- For car lovers they have very good vintage car collection.- Arrangement of items is good- You can take photographsCons- They have lots of items which are just displayed, but there is no any information and descriptions about that.- Mostly all the items from 18-19th century. Very few are ancient times items available for see.- And as its private museum it has entry fee.

An amazing museum where you can clearly see the passion of reflecting upon the past and showcasing significant times of our history. The collections are amazing and cover swords, clay work, furnitures, clothings, Islamic arts, Holy Quran room, Qatari house, antique cars, Pearl diving ships, medicine room and much more. The museum is serene and rich in history. It truly reflects what they say as a journey through time and place. The place is undergoing expansion and definitely worth a visit for history lovers.

Located outside of Doha or around 20 minutes from Education City, we can explore many kind of collection from Islamic Arts such as textile, jewelry. Moreover, we can see the weapon from Century to Century from Middle East and Asia. The most interesting as well is the car collection from year to year. Kind of a drive to get out here from doha, but worth the trip because it has a huge collection of interesting things. The location looks like its under construction but its the only building that looks somewhat completed construction wise. Inside youll see lots of pottery, bowls, dishes, boats, cars, planes... so much to see. Also, the coolest part is they have a replica Syrian home that they disassembled and brought over. Definitely worth checking out!

Museum is so huge and filled with historical artefacts, it took 2 hrs to roam around. It was an enchanting experience to go through history many centuries back. Weapons, clothing, jewelry, furniture, cars. etc. Must visit if youre in Qatar. Highly recommended.

Wear good walking shoes, this place is enormous! This museum has ample parking which is good because it’s a bit of a drive from Doha. You are greeted with a sip of Arabic coffee at the door and then allowed into room after room of.....everything you could imagine! Pottery, weapons, textiles, cars, old wells....This place can keep a person wonderfully entertained for hours. If I could improve anything I’d want to know there story behind a lot of the items....but if you’re lucky, I’m told sometimes the sheikh himself will give tours of the museum.Didn’t try the coffee shop near the exit but it’s beautifully decorated. The gift shop is small but has some interesting items.Worth the drive and the entrance fee (discounts for residents)

Great collection of Islamic art (better than in the Museum of Islamic Art in Dohaand an amazing example of a Syrian courtyard house built inside the museum! The collection includes weapons, furniture, traditional womens clothes from almost all Islamic countries, jewellery, pottery, wooden boats, carpets, old photographs depicting old ways of life in various Islamic countries and old Qatari household items, including carved wooden doors and windows, and old chariots. We can also admire other collections there, like old cars or dinosaur bones. The collection is vast and located in an old beautiful Qatari fort (which is an attraction in itself). You need minimum two hours to go through all the halls and I suggest to plan a longer visit. The ticket for foreigners not residing in Qatar costs 45 QAR, but its definitely worth it. There is a cafeteria and a gift shop located in the fort and you can try the traditional Qatari zaffron coffee with a date on complimentary basis in front of the ticket box. For those who cant rent a car to get there, the museum is also accessible by public transportation. Bus line 104 from Al Ghanim bus station in central Doha can take you there in a little over an hour time at a cost of 5 QAR each way. You need to purchase a bus smartcard at the station first. The museum is located about 1,5 km from the bus stop.

Impressive!! The entrance fee is QR20 only for adult, child is free. The place is huge! No bags are allowed and of course no water and food!It is vast with lots of varieties, from vehicles (bicycles, motor bikes, cars, boats), fossils, mineral rocks, guns, furniture, textile and jewelry and many more!!! It is like personal collection than proper museum but worth a visit! The displays arrangement could be better if work on properly. Downside of the museum is most of the displays are explained with minimum description, which is difficult for visitors to understand.
