Shark Diving Unlimited in Hermanus

Dont go there! Never! Its the worst! They try to fool you as much as they can. They say, they will send us a video of the trip, you pay for it, but they dont send it. Theres lots of other companies. AVOID THIS ONE!

Wir waren 2018 dort.Empfang? Keiner. Man lies uns einfach alleine.Der ach so berühmte Mr Sharkdiving läuft an dir vorbei, ohne ein Hallo oder sonst was.Wir haben zu viert als Familie richtig viel Geld bezahlt.Dann auf dem Boot ging die Katastrophe los.Anziehen der Neoprenanzüge an Bord, bei Vollgas Seegang. Zustand der Anzüge 🤮.Wir waren erste Gruppe, alle Anzüge waren bereits nass. Keiner hatte gleiche Schuhe. Ein fälliges Durcheinander.Andere Anbieter lassen die Kunden an Land umziehen!Da gibts viele andere wahrscheinlich bessere Anbieter.

Experience with a must

Feeling disappointed, regretful and betrayed. No great white sharks. Dont bother the hassle getting to Gansbaai and joining this expensive tour. I understand that wildlife sightings arent guaranteed but Im mainly disappointed because the customer service lied to me and said they had daily sightings of great whites last week but when I asked the instructor today he said he only saw a single one last week. They lied because they want your money. Ive paid 1490 ZAR but my Airbnb host said you can get tours for 1360. The tour lasted 3h15 incl breakfast, briefing, tour, debriefing, soup... Only go if you are in the area and can afford it. For a backpacker like me it was a huge financial burden

Great trip would do again with this company and not to old at 75 to tick off on my list

Amazing! Everything that they could control, was perfect. The people were all friendly and helped us have a good time. The water wasnt very clear today, so the shark watching wasnt as good as it could have been but it will always be hit and miss with mother nature.

People are really nice, and a really professional attitude, I really enjoyed the pictures and videos of the shop, lots of celebrities have been to this spot

Good experience, friendly staff

Our 09:00am tour was cancelled last minute. Without any information in advance. The lady told us, the weather is too bad and it would have been our mistake not to take the 06:00pm tour.So we went to the shark diving provider next door, who offered us to join a tour on his boat have an hour later.He saved our day..

Totally amazing, loved every minute of it, the staff, the hospitality everything was so welcoming and comfortable... The sharks viewing in and out of the water was fantastic... The crew know what they were doing.

The water was cold so maybe more towards summer time would be best as I visited in October. Perfect guides, knowledgeable and kind. Amazingly a lot of celebrities have used this same location and they have the pictures to prove it!

Was nice seeing some sharks in their natural habitat, bit disappointing to see a small great white only. But at least i have the experience of diving with real sharks. Thanx guys

These guys were terrific. Heinrich, our tour guide was a great entertainer, shark cum Maine animal spotter, videographer rolled into one. He managed to show us more and tell us more than we ever hoped for. A good day well spent. Thank you guys.

Incredible the experience!

Great experience, good prices.We been there few years ago. One day we did cage diving + shark breaching, that was really amazing! And day after that, we decided go back and we did cage diving again......some day , we will be back again...I wanna see shark breaching again!!!!

Not sure how do I rate them. They were good. But the experience of diving in the water wasnt really great. I could see the sharks, one white and one copper.Great hospitality and communication. But their swimwear and boots were bit leaky and wet. The breakfast was really good.

Their overall service is not up to standard. The one lady in charge was quite rude to a client in front of a whole bunch of other clients. Totally unacceptable behavior from a service provider, especially at the cost of the shark cage diving

Today this experience was unbelievable: in a good and a bad way.First of all the journey was amazing.But the staff was much more interested in atract the White Shark, instead of helping me to leave the cage. In the moment that I was leaving the cage, the White Shark came closer (this was’nt its first timeand the employee instead of helping me, he just pushed me, because he was concerned in bringing the shark close to the cage. Fortunately I held firmly to the bar and I fell inside the boat. But it made me to twist seriously my arm. It shows that they are not prepared. Besides of this, the cage should have more bars, because a smaller shark almost came inside the cage! The diving is really cool, but they should be concerned more about some details to be safer to the visitors, because in the end no one goes there to die!

No life vests..... Ridiculous!!

I would highly recommend Shark Diving Unlimited. They offer a fabulous service that includes hotel pickup, home made breakfast and lunch served before and after experience. Additionally, the stay is overly generous, kind, and most importantly privatizes safety. My dive was in January and we definitely saw sharks but only from the boat. Im not sure if its due to the season that I went but the water visibility was very poor. We saw nothing while in the cage. But, still happy with my over all experience and awesome shots taken from above the boat.

Just great !!

We went as a group of 14 friends/cousins. Tour was very professional and eco-friendly. Saw the sharks but only from above because the water visibility was too poor to see them from the cage in the water. The guide was a friendly and extremely knowledgeable. We enjoyed chatting to him later in the day about some of his less smart tourist customers from the past.

Lived up to expectations in every way. Saw lots of Great Whites which came right up to the cage.

Muy buena atención. En enero nos anularon la salida porque llevaban días sin ver tiburones y así no nos hacían pagar para nada. En octubre volvimos y nos la anularon por el tiempo pero nos ayudaron mucho en poder reservar otro día. Se tiene que ir muy pronto por la mañana. Creo que preferiría pagar un poco menos y llegar más tarde sin tener que esperar tanto mientras se desayuna. En el barco, todo es muy seguro y profesional. No tengan miedo, merece la pena ir a ver estos animales en pñena libertad y no en un acuario. Si se marean fácilmente, no olviden las pastillas. El mar se mueve mucho.
