Shanghai - Chinese restaurant in Luzern, Switzerland
Delicious food! Staffs are friendly!
Friendly staff, no long waiting times. Food was good and freshly made. The price is justified as the ambient and decor is classy and noble.
I ordered the sweet and sour baked pork, fried glass noodles with beef and fried rice with chicken. The food tasted nice, though it is not authentic Chinese food. The deco at the restaurant is nice. However, I felt that the service could be improved as the waitress that served us was not very friendly. Do note that if you are not ordering a dish per person, you have to pay 5 francs per additional cutlery set.
Overall the food was pretty generic. It is not an authentic Chinese/Shanghai Restaurant and it is owned and managed by a Vietnamese Lady. We were there as a tourist and usually restaurant will give you an option to pay either in Francs or in your own credit card currency but for some reason they are pretty adamant about you paying in Francs via the machine.
In genera it is a good restaurant. The decorations are great. There is one thing that I can complain is that the peanut is replaced by cashew in Kong Pou beef.
Excellent food and very nice interior
Honestly I didnt expect a good taste of Chienese food here. Somehow, their food is good and Im satisfied.

My friend took me there as a birthday gift. Inside was beautiful, sadly I found the food a little disappointing and even though the waiter was very friendly and helpful, I found his attire inappropriate.
This is not chinese restaurant is vietnamese but name Shanghai. The food is cook with vietnam style. If you look for real chinese food then this restaurant is not the choice, you will disappointed.
love it!!! So delicious, love at first bite!
The best Asian restaurant that i ever eat in switzerland. The service excellent....the deco, like never seen before...the food, made with love for the ingredients and was cooked exactly like should be.A big BRAVO for the Capo of the restaurant and his wife as well 👏 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Absolutely delicious food. Tried the crispy duck and it was fantastic. Portions are plenty.
All our tour visitors were very happy. Today we tried this place ourselves. Very nice food, nice, cosy and beautifully decorated but most importantly, very friendly staff and fast service. Highly recommendedBy staff choice - Swiss Private Tour
Staff was kind, decor nice, but found the food to be salty and overpriced
Typical chinese restaurant where the decoration and size make the difference. The food is good, served in big portions, and the employees are very kind.
I LOVE IT. Amazing place and food.
The food is very delicious and the service is real nice. Duck Singapore style (a bit spicy= Super delicious😋Recommended and will definitely come back
Not budget friendly and the wait was to long
The decor!! 😻😻😻 And the food!!! 😻😻😻 Unforgettable and absolutely iconic!
Love this place
Best in town🐲🐉❤
Service was great food was average. Spring rolls very greasy and Noddles were bland
Every item on the menu sort of taste the same - nothing to write home about. Though, one cannot go wrong with ordering the fried ice cream - it is fantastic!
Great food and superb aquarium
Very bed Experience.First time come say got big group booking. No open. Then we Coming 2nd day. Say not allow Tourists! cheater!!!wast my time!!
Very good food in an extravagantly lux setting. Lots of beautiful painted glass, wood carving an a wonderful ceiling. Expensive, but the setting and food make up for it.
Arrived late in Luzern and wanted to grab some Chinese food. This restaurant was nearby so we went there. Food was okayish but the quantity for the price is not good. The price is quite steep! We were served in broken/cracked cutlery, which was shocking after paying so much. The waitress was nice and she changed it for us after I pointed it out. But why would you serve in broken cutlery? Main course items were okay.Got much better Chinese food in Zurich!
Subpar chinese restaurant with far to many meals on the menue...the best choice here are the thai dishes (strange enough)
Never ate here because I was turned away ONE HOUR before closing, the staff said they were closed. I was greeted by a lady that greeted me with “I don’t speak Chinese” then turns around and speaks Chinese to the staff. Also the decor was over the top ostentatious
Chinese dishes at their best!
Great food and marvelous service
Very nice spicy food, good portions, great servive
Fine!
Had a great experience and the food was very scrumptious. I would recommend the deep fried banana and ice cream for dessert.
The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were very polite and helpful. The food came pretty quick. However the price you pay for the actual food is pretty steep, I mean some of the portions werent that much when you consider the price. The food was decent. Also the menu is like an odd looking book, they have over 200+ items on the menu which is slightly confusing when youre trying to order there for the first time.
Arrived at 730pm on Thursday night and had to chase staff. 40min from sitting down to getting a drink. 1hr to getting food. Vvery expensive. No peanut in peanut sauce. Ordered fried rice then discovered meat dish came woth rice. Most expensive and disappointing chinese food across 5 continents of experience. Wont be back or recommending to fellow travelers.
Great food nice place
The ambiance in the restaurant is great. Theres a beautiful table arrangement and a huge fish tank adds a lot to the atmosphere. The employees are very polite and try their best to satisfy the customer. The selection of food is huge – there are over 200 different meals to choose from. A shared starter for two people costs CHF 38.-- which is fairly expensive for what you get: for example the spring rolls taste like any other ready-made spring roll you can buy at the supermarket. The main meal I ordered was delicious, yet the portion was too small for the price that was paid.On the plus side, the waiting times are very short. If you can want to go to an Asian restaurant in Lucerne and you prefer a nice atmosphere over the price, Id recommend going there. If you prefer a decent meal for a fair price, there are better alternatives.
Best Asian restaurant weve ever tried in the area. Offers different Asian food (Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese). The huge aquariums are a sight to behold. Very beautiful and well-maintained with different species of fish. We met the lady owner who was very nice and whom we chatted for a bit. She told us how she ended up in Luzern and how she put up the business. Very admirable.
Very good food and service

Great food, friendly personnel, nicely decorated
Very good chinese food. There are some thai alternatives as well.
Always nice to be there. Friendly staff, food is good (there are many options: chinese, vietnamese, thai food), location is good. Interior a little bit kitschy, but overall a nice atmosphere. I especially like that the food is kept hot in the middle of the table and the little liquor they serve in the end.
Food is very good. Friendly staff
Perfect .. Food, people, service, atmosphere and lovely lady " " whos taking care of us 😍
Everything was perfect. Place, service, people and food.
great place, good meal
Looks fancy, looks very chinese. Food seemed authentic to me (but Im no chinese food expert). Owners are natives. Its a little expensive. Overall experience was nice
