Shamiana Restaurant - Serangoon Garden Way - Indian restaurant in Singapore, Singapore
Dishes sold are delicious, tasty and portion sizes are worthwhile! We had a great time, however it is a little expensive.
The garlic naan, manchurian and butter chicken were sooo yummy! The fish curry, pakora and vegetable rice are okay too. The e lady server ia super nice. Had a good experience here!
Not worth it. Its just pricey and food is just below average. Fish was just frozen fish fillet cooked with some spices. Youll need to search for aloo in aloo paratha.Final verdict, there are much much better options and better places to try.Dont trust the positive reviews, theyre fake I guess.
Good food.Nice service and kind people. However was charged $2 for 2 small plastic containers to take away food. Exorbitant price which made us leave on a less than ideal note.
Had lunch here and enjoyed all of the dishes we ordered. We had the garlic and butter naan, butter chicken, kalmi kebab, rogan josh, palak paneer, kulfi and thandai.
They have a wide selection of Indian cuisine, albeit rather pricy. I tried the lamb briyani, and found that the serving was quite big - could be good for 2-3 people. Unfortunately, their briyani was a bit saltier than what I am used to. Their mango lassi was great though. Kudos to the crew, the service was prompt and good. :)
Butter chicken & daal makhaani was awesome.Roti basket, tandoori roti & lachha parantha are the worst. Not even properly baked.Masala french fries (not crispy not even cooked properly& onion pakoda (less onion and more besan:gram flourare not good as well. Please take a note on the above pointers & try to improve the mentioned items.
love the palak paneer and Pani Puri! great service from the lady at the counter too. Have been there multiple times :Food is a little pricy but worth it
Once again I stopped in this restaurant. The set lunch is incredible . For 10sgd you have full meal including dessert. I know this restaurant since 15years . It is great value for money. I forgot to took picture of the meal set meal including Nan, daal and butter chicken. Do not miss a visit to this restaurant
Ordered paneer machurian, daal, hakka noodles and naan for delivery. Other than the daal, everything was quite terrible. Especially the noodles. They smelled bad and tasted as if they had been cooked a few days ago in cheap oil.
Very nice naan and love the mango lasse. The mutton dish is a must try.
Love the food here, especially the vegetarian choices. Get breads and a very nice Veg Briyani. Service is friendly and knowledgeable about the food
Excellent Indian food. Have ordered as takeaways a few times and really enjoyed their food.
We really like the food and ambience specially Biryani and tandoori chicken,Gobi Manchurian are very tasty.we back soon.
Been here yesterday for dinner and the service was incredibly prompt and attentive! Food was pleasant and I really enjoyed their butter chicken and garlic/butter naans. The ambience of the place is also nice.Overall I recommend this place.
The place was quite good overall. Some food items were good like the onion pakora and the roti. Some curry items like Paneer Butter Masala didnt seem authentic and done correctly. Although the overall taste was not bad. So if you are looking for the right way things are cooked, probably not the best place, but overall taste and experience wise, a must try.
Ordered the chicken tikka, chicken biryani, aloo gobhi. Only the chicken tikka was good. It was a extremely flavourful and tender, but the cut served to us contained quite a bit of bones. The aloo was just average. The cauliflower was crispy and the potato was soft, but the sauce was not very flavourful. The chicken biryani was actually quite bad. The rice had no flavour and the chicken was unmarinated. I was disappointed.I also ordered a masala tea, but it just tasted like normal tea with a bit of cumin.Quite pricey as well.
There are better options of Indian food across Singapore. The food is not at all authentic north India as mentioned. Except breads we didnt like anything in this restaurant.
Nice Indian food, looong menu with many selection, would love to visit again and invite friends to gathering here.I tried pani puri, chicken lollipops, NaanοΌ thandai, and palak paneer. When order in store, scan QRcode to see menu with picture is really helpful and the staffs are also friendly.
Nice ambience and food taste is good as well. Slightly pricey for the location but overall is a good place to go.
They delievery my order by including Santizer (free).Today i was tested Covid +ve and the only bottle i am using is santizer.Thank you shamina.Leave longServer above all
I love the food preparation it will be tasty and delicious. After long time I took excellent Indian chat itemd
The service was great! The food was likewise fantastic. The Paneer Malasa was extremely palatable and flavorful.
We had dinner here. Rogan Josh was amazing. Palek Paneer was also very very good. Butter chicken was ok - we felt the chicken could have been cooked a bit further since it was just done. Eatigo 30% made it about $60 for 2pax. 3 dishes with generous meat & paneer, 1 drink & 3 naans. Enough for 3 pax so we were v full. Worth the trip.
We frequently ordered butter chicken from Shamiana Restaurant. Sometimes, we would have biryani rice too. Both taste simply delicious! The fish tikka is another dish worth the try. Itβs tender and well-spiced. Thatβs why we kept going back again and again!
Ordered veg pulao and chicken masala with the boneless pieces ,but not so satisfying.Veg pulao rice was half cooked and chicken masala also average and didnt get boneless pieces.
Ordered the mutton biriyani, butter chicken and garlic naan.Their biryani and butter chicken was really delicious. Garlic naan was cold so that was a tad disappointing. I minus one star because their indian food is more expensive than other restaurants.
Ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala, butter chicken and plain naan as take away. The naan was really soft and just gives that slight chewy taste that I love. The chicken tikka masala had a nice flavor, slightly spicy. Definitely would order again.
Northern Indian cuisine for a very reasonable price. Located right in the heart of Serangoon Garden. The food was scrumptious. The chicken tikka was tender, succulent and tasty. The lamb biryani was flavourful and served with the right amount of spice. And the palak paneer topped off a tasty dinner. The only downside is the restaurant is small and can get noisy, so the ambience is average.
The food was fantastic. It was unexpected- we just had an impulse to dine outdoor and we went to this place. We ordered kurkuri bhindi, which be mindful, is a snack here, and kind of like a bhindi bhajiya/ bhindi fritter, so can order as a side. Was a really great snack! The shamiana dal was equally good and more than sufficient for 2 pax.The samosa chat was ok, could have been better if the samosa were bit more crisp, it was kind off soggy. All on all a good eat out, n also it wasnt crowded at all!
A not very classic chicken tikka masala with lots of chunks green and red capsicums over powering the spice in it. Garlic naan not much garlic and flavour. Aloo kulcha was still ok. Kurkure bhindi was nice.
Warm and genteel service food was nicely served and flavours were full and not overpowering quaint and cosy for a nice Meal out
Ordered from them twice and the packaging is very well done. No food spillage and delivery tracking is great. Always prompt delivery. Will order again. And of course the food is great too.
Service and staff is very good. Starters are really delicious. For veggies to start with- Gobi Fry, Paneer tikka, Hara Bhara Kabab. All were delicious. Main course including Non-veg was average. Mainly 4 stars for starters n snack items. Cheers!!
Paneer butter masala was watery and tasteless, no butter and no masala. Murg chandi kabab was chewy and tasteless, they put so much of green and red paper that it looked like green paper sabji with some pieces of chicken. Totally disappointed with food. Perhaps will never order again.
Great place to get flavorful Indian food. Great service and value for money as the quantity on plate not less. My husband and I ordered gobi manchuri (proportion and taste is good), garlic naan (soft and tasty), mutton vindalu (spicy and tender meat but had potatoes), masala tea(too goodand tandai chas(best).
Wouldnβt order from here again! Ordered food through food panda ! Iβve called them after two hours and the person responsible at the restaurant said my food was delivered when they never did! When I questioned about what was happening , he started shouting and getting aggressive on the phone inspite of not delivering the food ! Would never order or dine in here ! Wonβt recommend! Worst experience ! Filter the reviews by the keyword delivery and you would realize whatβs really happening after reading the other customers reviews who had similar issues
unsuspecting shop at the end of the lane with hearty and flavourful dishes. consistently serving up the best Gobi Manchurian ive had (third time buying from them, and trust me ive gone around trying gobi manchurian)Generous servings, has takeaway.they even allow to request for no garlic in the food :)service was great too.
This is an North Indian Restaurant, which probably we can guess from restaurant name.Let me start with the Staff here: they are the heroes of this restaurant and also the reason why so might go again. From the guy at the counter to the serving staff, they were all courteous and extremely helpful.Food: for us (my familyit was a bit high on heat (chilli). We ordered chicken biriyani, dahi papdi chaat, samosa chaat, thandai, rice + paneer curryThe quality is good.
Excellent food Good service must try
This little gem of a restaurant is one of our favourites. We love the kurkure bindhi (deep fried thin slices of ladys fingers in spices), the dal makhani khaas (black lentils and beans), the butter chicken, the bryanis, the naans (oh the butter naan....- almost everything weve tried there is delicious. Definitely worth a trek. The service is great too. End off with a masala tea - perfect.
Just paid a visit to this halal Indian restaurant in Serangoon ave area. I ordered chicken tikka , roti and dhal. The food is absolutely scrumptious and very traditional Indian food.Pls give it a try and you will not regret and I can assure you that you will crave for more. The hospitality was outstanding but the most important thing is the restaurant is immaculate in cleanliness and very cozy place to chill out with family and friends! Hence the 5 star π rating which they truly deserve.Note: pls quote code βS88β to get a specialDiscount on the final bill
. Its a quiet Indian restaurant set amidst a row of shop houses along Serangoon Gardens. My wife and I come here often as for one thing, its convenient for us. Another thing is the food is quite good. They serve a mix of North and South Indian food although its skews mostly towards North Indian dishes. The staff here are very polite and attentive. Do try their Dum biryani which is served in a copper pot and is quite flavorful
Been here today for dinner and the service was incredibly prompt and attentive! Food was pleasant and I really enjoyed their butter chicken and garlic/butter naans. The ambience of the place is also nice for a long chat over dessert. Overall I recommend this place.
First I like their menu.. With description under name of each dish, and marked for spicy dishes. Plenty of food options too, including starters and salad. A bit pricy and the Mon - Thur promotion should be better value.
Good quality food, pleasant casual ambience. The 1-1 main offer is brilliant, take full advantage of it. Drinks (juicesare 1-1 as well. The lime juice was tangy and refreshing. Peshawari naan was soft and hot and mango drinks are made in house. Will visit again!
Canβt give less than one star. Not even a single dish out of the four dishes we ordered was good.We were looking forward to some really yummy food from an Indian restaurant for dinner but we were highly disappointed. To TOP it all, the bill generated via email was $78 but they charged $91 and the delivery boy had no explanation for this.Overall a very very bad experience.Even for dal makhani they use colour.
They have a 1-1 promo for their dishes Mon-Thur. Very delicious food serve hot and fresh. Will come again. π
Lovely little gem in the Serangoon Gardens neighbourhood. Food is decidedly North Indian and excellent! Loved the lamb shank, which was marinated superbly. Warm service with a homely feel. Wish the Raita had more chopped vegetables in it although the tangy flavour was spot on. Well be back!
Excellent food and declicious. Veg kabab plater is awesome taste. Great north indian foods. Recommanding to have food here.
