A. Y. Shakhrai Street 24 Jerusalem IL 96470, A. Y. Shakhrai St 24, Jerusalem, Israel, Jerusalem
Set on a mountainside overlooking Jerusalem, this unassuming hotel is 6 km from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and 8 km from the ancient Western Wall.Simple rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows and views of the city feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs, plus safes, and tea and coffeemakers. Room service is available.Freebies include parking, and breakfast served in an informal kosher restaurant offering local and international dishes. There's also a lobby bar, a seasonal outdoor pool and a synagogue.
I stayed there 3 nights. Each day I had to go downstairs to ask the room be cleaned. Each day I had to go downstairs to get a new entry cardNo restaurant
Very bad service. Especially this women in the entrance called Natalie.
Quite " the peoples " hotel..easy to get to,lots of parking..
This review is for the pool. Its simple and convenient, though the best thing about it is that due to COVID-19 it wasnt overloaded as other pools are.
Id been staying here for 5 whole days, including shabbat. Clean standart room, but interiors slightly outdated. One of four elevatorss out of order, which was crucial during the shabbat, bc one of working trio was in shabbat mode.I was surprised because of the staff reaction to my request to give me second key card. The guy told like all of themd gone and I had to wait.No apologies were received.
This hotel appears to be popular with tour groups. However, it is not fully equipped to handle large groups. There were only 3 elevators and only one is in decent size. They are all very slow and you will need a lot of patience (and luckto catch one thats not already full of people. Wi-fi speed was also very slow.
Not the best rooms. We tried the triple and there was a queen bed separated into two twins and then a pull out couch.
Really nice hotel. Spacious and modern rooms. And, a really neat neighborhood within walking distance. That has a great bakery and pizza shop!!
Good food and large restaurant but below average service, and unimpressive check in staff. Several on site souvenir shops but always closed for unknown reasons.
Spacious old charm. Wonderful food options. They hve to improve on the look and modernizing though.
Non presumptuous. Relatively good rates. Good service. Ample free parking. Swimming pool.
Hotel is nice and clean. Food is decent. No gym, pool was closed. Elevators under renovation. Shabbat accommodations were iffy at best. No real shabbat elevator due to the renovation and the Shabbat mode in the rooms (to turn off the sensorskept resetting trapping people in rooms. If it werent for the Shabbat issues I would happily stay there again.
It was good but same food everyday
The worst hotel Ive ever been!!!There even one thing good to write on this place!Old not functioning and no facilities.
Not suitable to be called HotelVery poor facilities, not recommended eben for beg packers.Elevators are not working. There are no facilities for 3 persons in a room.Couldnt sleep at all.The food was terrible.Really, dont recommend this place at all.Stay away!
The hotel has a good service. I would say that because of the amount of people there was during my visit the Wi-Fi service was really poor, it was impossible to use in my bedroom on the 9th floor. I had to go downstairs to the lobby to use it. The elevators were another story during rush hours (Impossible to use from 6:30 to 8:30 in the morningand same thing back in the evenings. TV at our room had only 1 channel in English.
The main issue was that the WiFi connection was very poor in many areas of the building. However, dinner and the service was all good and the staff addressed all needs pretty well.
Very similar vibe and feel to the Rimonim back in Tiberias where Ive stayed before. Typical Jewish run place. Standard amenities. But I like that they have a queen size guest pull out bed. Can do with bigger sheets though.
We came on a group tour(24 of usto Israel and the hotel was a fantastic choice. The staff were very polite and were always willing to help and went an extra mile to satisfy our group. We also met about 7 other groups from different countries. Just that the lift was a bit slow but it wasnt anything difficult
There some core needy should be improved! Irony facility set a bit far from reachability, the soap and lotion are very detergent that dry skin heavely, restaurant chair should changed , wifi connection is sometimes weak,
Definitely decent if you get a good price. Not deluxe. Old hotel but it works for a short stay with kids. Small TVs in rooms
It is very nice hotel, although it is no so up to date,Rooms are clean and with nice view,. The crew are nice,The food is also ok, but feels like the hotel I wont invest on it alot. All in all we we had good time.
The chef has been hired to cook 5 main dishes in the dinner buffet. We stayed 5 nights and left to Tel Aviv and came back again and the same food at the buffet. BORING...HELLO...SOME CHANGE.... mediocre rooms... old...horrible front desk employees consistent with the extremely poor service skills of all retailers in the Hebrew State.
Really nice view, the rooms are ok, but the elevators and the parking area are pretty sketchy...
The rooms are great and the staff is very helpful. The elevators dont run as often and for a big group it made it a little harder. The pool is great and the food is good as well. On friday night the shabbat dinner was hectic and felt over populated.
The rooms were spacious. The rooms were not cleaned properly and the dining area is packed and not cleaned well. The location is not ideal for walking around Jerusalem but there is a bus that passes by at the hotel. It is a place that deals with high volumes of tourists and needs to be better organised.
Stay away from this hotel. Old and neglected building. Bad location in an orthodox neighborhood. Bad Internet reception in rooms and lobby. Noise hallway and bad sound insulation so you hear everything inside your room. We woke up at 6:00am.Although we booked for 3 nights with breakfast we left immediately as we woke up. They insisted on charging for the night and breakfast that we didn’t have. And that’s after many phone calls and emails to complain.Worst experience in our trip to Jerusalem. If I could I would rate as ZERO STARS.
I am very pleased with Shalom Hotel Jerusalem. All of the employees exceeded my expectations. The food, service, professionalism, and kindness was so respectful! I would advise anyone to vacation and stay at this wonderful hotel! I give them a 5 STAR!!
Great service, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Delicious food in the snack bar as well as breakfast and dinner served to guests.
A little dated. Could use simple improvements like new carpet and such, but all in all was very decent. The staff was really good. Kind and helpful. Id recommend this place.
GREAT EXPERIENCE ,EVERYONE FRIENDLY ,AND ALSO EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM LUAY SMOOM. LOVELY PLACE AND CLOSE TO ALL ATTRACTIONS . Highly recommend if in town .
Lots of American high school / university student groups. Lobby can get REALLY loud. Luckily they wont be having conversations on your floor around midnight.
Shalom RImonim Hotel is OK.First impression always count and sincerelyam so impressed with the food, service, public relations and above all neatness.Keep it up and fly highest.I hope to comment further tomorrow and subsequently.
I stayed at this hotel with my group from the US and it is amazing how long it took them to get my room fixed. I stayed there five nights and probably called the front desk a good 10 times and by the end of it finally the electricity and air conditioning or working properly but by that time it was the last night out of 5.The food is what youd expect in this area buffet style and kosher. It was seriously an act of Congress to get the hotel to understand it is unacceptable to go that long without a working air conditioner as many other hotels in the area Ive never had this issue. Lets just say I hope your stay was much better than mine.
Old, badly located. An OK outdoors swimming pool during summer time. Food is reasonable as well.
The help was wonderful especially the bartender the food was very good the rooms were very comfortable and kept very clean. The front desk help was very congenial we would recommend your hotel to anyone. Thank you very much for the stay.
The staff is friendly and helpful. The rates are excellent. Breakfasts are fine. Friday night meal was ok. The place needs major updating! Supposedly it’s down the pike but remains to be seen. Room is fine but dated.
Thank you for the special hosting .. it was a pleasure to be their and it was nice experience I hope to repeat it soon .. and specially Haya you was a great host thank.you
Rimonim Jerusalem is quite a class right from check in, staff helpful especially in coffee bar and dining, they provided a city for our baby, indeed our honeymoon was in the right place, keep it up
This was not the first time we stayed here but it was the first time we brought our children & grandchildren. We got a good deal for 2 nights. The hotel gives value for your money. The elevators are small & very slow. We used the stairwell, which looks like it hasnt been touched since they built the hotel. Otherwise, all good. Im sure well come again.
Rooms are tidy and in good condition. Breakfast and dinner are very extensive and of good quality. Wifi is good depending on the number of guests. Room service can be improved however. I had the no-service label on the door and still they walked in. Minor mishap.
Very nice staff, excellent service, beautiful room in a high floor with city view and very tasty food. We will come back to this hotel!
Very old hotel though the breakfast is really good!Nice with kids, the breakfast is good, close to yad va Shem, and the lobby is very nice. The downside is that the stuff is super unfriendly, the hotel is very old, the walls are with their original painting from the 60s and the elevators are a bit creepy. You shall come with a car only. It is very far from the city center.
The lobby looks nice but not the room - it is shabby and poor wifi connection from the room. Had breakfast and dinner for 2 days - exactly the same buffet foods
עשינו במלון שבת חתן. החדרים מסודרים, יפים ונקיים. האוכל הוא ברמה של אכסניית נוער.We had a weekend with our families. The rooms have a great view, very spacious and comfortable. The food is very average.
The rooms are comfortable but they look quite old. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Not close to City center and main tourist sites in Jerusalem.
Very bad service. I didnt get enough blankets and towels. Linens were stained. Food was excellent though.
Very disappointed. The hygienic conditions were very poor, the swimming pool was very neglected, so were the public areas. The room was satisfactory so was the breakfast. We will definitely not return to this hotel.
An okay hotel with basic amenities. The pool was closed and does not open until July. The rooms were decent size and clean but at one point there were ants in the bathroom. The food was okay but it was Pesach so that may or may not carry-over for the rest of the year. The air-conditioning in one room was broken and the hotel did not address it despite being informed of the issue. Altogether a simple and plain hotel in a good location. Nothing hugely upsetting or vacation spoiling, but nothing worth writing home about either.
for the moment the food was under average. Eatable but not attractive or particularly tasty. The rooms are quite nice and above average.
