Shakopee Brewhall - Brewery in Chanhassen, United States
Great beer and friendly staff
Great spot with amazing food options <2 min away and very tasty beers. Always a good time here!
Dog friendly, which is a huge point in my book. Great beers, great atmosphere, and great service from the employees! Lots of games and entertainment, live music, and things to snack on.
Dog friendly indoors and out. Nice variety of craft beers, friendly staff, great stop for beer lovers. They have a patio out front and up on the roof as well.
Always love stopping in when in town! Great beer selection! When the pickle beer is on tap, seasonal, hands down one of my absolute favorite beers! Please make this a regular beer????
Great find on our trip through MN. Welcoming, great beer and food from Turtle’s next door. Want to go back!
Great place downtown. Has some good beers each time we have came. Never to busy and always get a spot to sit down.
The brews are very good. Quite a selection. And the staff was awesome.
Very dog friendly inside and out. Rooftop seating and outdoor in front of building. Great coffee also.
Always a great selection and theyre dog friendly. New patios are great.
We love Shakopee Brewhall! It has a great atmosphere and a lot of really good beers. The Great Scot! Is my personal favorite. Theyre also dog friendly inside which is awesome because our dog also loves brewery hopping!
Love taking the family here to play games from their shelf while we wait for our food from next door. Having a beer and family time while not in the house. Kids and parents love it.
Really good Beer. Great atmosphere. I am definitely going back soon
They had live music and a good selection of beers. No real food available, but they did have popcorn and pretzels and they offered to let you order food from next door. Friendly staff and a good environment.
Great beer, fun atmosphere and great food choices all around you to order in!
Love this place! Great service, friendly staff, and some good craft brews!
Nice space and enjoyed a few beers in the late afternoon. Communicated well about the early close on Sunday.
Good service, good beer, and great seating. My wife and I sat on the upstairs patio and enjoyed some cards while we enjoyed a beer. Will be back with friends and such, so I recommend.
Nice brewery! Good beer and dog friendly. No bar food.
Friendly place. Home town bar feel. Tap brews are smooth. We had the Magic Feather which was a sweet porter advertised as a peanut butter porter, but didnt really taste the PB. Lovely anyway. Also had the Fine, Whatever which was a very smooth IPA. Delicious! Would drop in again when in the neighborhood. Dogs are welcome. We met a couple of cuties on our visit here. No food. Can order delivery.
Nice people and decent brews.. clean space.
Great beer and friendly staff!
One of my favorite breweries in the cities! Worth going out of my way to come here. Staff has always been super polite and helpful, and the Saturday infusions are fun to look forward to.Covid protocols have been on point here 👌🏽 definitely would recommend to others!
Fantastic service! Good variety of beers, a couple different IPAs both of which were delicious! And they have pulltabs! Ill be back!
Pretty cool spot. Our two beers were decent. The atmosphere is very much like your corner bar, which is a compliment in my estimation.
Delicious beer. Able to order food from surrounding restaurants which is a plus. Puts tents in the road to offer covered seating to stop and enjoy a beer. Lots of beer varieties, friendly staff.
This brewery is fabulous and has fantastic stout varieties. We were thoroughly impressed. One of the owners greeted us and was very welcoming. Staff was great and ambience was nice and comfortable for a Saturday afternoon with games and shuffle board. Shakopee downtown is really charming. We’ll be back!
Great place to stop by. Good atmosphere and they allow dogs inside during the winter which is nice.
Shakopee Brewhall has it all: Great atmosphere, perfect location, friendly staff, and I have not even mentioned the beer! There are fantastic and original selections night after night, with a full variety of excellent choices. This is a place for locals and also a place for those newcomers looking to be welcomed in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere. And if you are feeling friendly, leave a Beer for Bill on the "Pay it Forward" tab. ;)
Great brewery, will definitely be back. They have great event s that happen frequently. Check the calendar to fill and the special event or release. Staff is very friendly and will give recommendations.
Ill admit when I just heard the name I thought it was just a beer hall like New Bohemia, so didnt think much. However recently was checking out the places that are doing the #resilienceipa and came across this. Going online I realized the err in my way. After work ventured over, small spot tucked in downtown Shakopee. Loved this spot and their easy to read "pay it forward" board for friends and workers. Then also found out they have an upstairs patio?! Ill be back for that this spring. After ordering my first flight a gentleman came by and asked if it was my first time. That noticable huh? He asked my have and introduced himself as the owner and we chatted about his I heard about it/live around here. The person serving me was the manager and he was super friendly, talking with every guest for extended amount of times.I then began chatting with a man around my age to my left about beer/Bourbons and an older guy on my right about his life drinking cheap beer/his father working for cheap beer companies. Found out both were apart of the beer membership and loved this place. I will agree, their beer was fantastic. Now to the beer:Munich helles Id drink all day everyday. Peach/vanilla milkshake is godly good with full flavor that I wish mikler could bring (also had to buy a crowler to allow people at work to try it. Peanut butter Porter smells like Reeses pieces and tastes like it (little less sweet so perfect). The coffee Porter is fine, but very one dimensional and the cold press coffee seems to water it down or give it a day old coffee flavor. Had two half pours of their barreled beers, both are a fine punch burn to the gut. Their resilience tasted a bit like weed with a lighter West coast ipa bite.
Their Magic Feather is the gold standard for peanut butter porters. Id dare to say that its better than Dangerous Mans PB porter, which would make it the best in the state in my opinion. Theres a natural, real peanut butter flavor (rather than artificial, like a lot of PB porters out there).Every beer I tried here either had an interesting twist, or simply had great and clear flavor.I also really loved the atmosphere and decor. Shakopee already has a bit of a small-town feel, and this brewery played into that very well but with a modern take. The lighting was cozy and warm, the wainscoting on brick gave it a modern feel with some throwback roots, and the bar itself was very well-designed (right down to the cool tile work around the bar butted up against wood flooring in the rest of the brewhall). My wife pointed out the hooks to hang her purse underneath the bar, and each outlet had USB ports in case you need to give your phone a quick charge. It seems most newer breweries are adding these touches, but its still worth pointing out because its clear a lot of great work went into designing this space.Kid and dog friendly, excellent service, a good crowd, and great beer. Its definitely worth checking out! My wife and I are glad we did and well surely be back.
Great vibe! Very friendly staff. Spacious, and a roof top patio. Would be a great place to host an event. Wonderful selection of brews. Reccomend!!
As soon as I walked in Shakopee Brewhall, I was impressed by the vibrant ambiance. The staff and service were top notch and the only thing that surpassed their quality of service was the quality of their beer. If youre looking for a place to enjoy great drinks with great company, then look no more. I will definitely be back again to sample the new selection of beer they will be offering.
Stopped in to check the place out and catch the eight horse hitch Budweiser Clydesdales that were coming down 1st Ave that day!Love the atmosphere - its old exposed brick, in a turn of the century building with refurbished wooden floors and stained glass meeting modern eclectic with stainless and polished brass. Theres even a small "play area" for the kids. When it comes to the brew they have a great selection...Just enough to satisfy every beer drinker, yet making sure it doesnt leave you with your head spinning due to all the choices!Just the way I like it!!The hospitality is wonderful, very welcoming! The staff is knowledgeable, suggesting brews in your wheelhouse of preferences as well as having the ability to explore some that may not be!The day I was there I had The "Nutty Mad," I really love my Brown Ales and this one did not disappoint! Then after the mini-parade of the Budweiser Clydesdales I sipped on a cool "Foggy Daze" striking up some great brew conversations with those seated at the bar around me.Prices vary but are right in that window of reasonably/average prices for a good pint of beer! :-)I plan on visiting again!
Friendly staff and great drinks. They have several small card/board games to play that kept the 4 yr old busy for a bit when we stopped by.
Beer was decent, staff was friendly, but when we visited, they had 12 beers listed and only 8 were available. 3 of the 8 were a variation of the same Porter. This made choosing options for a flight very limited. I hope if we visit again, there will be more options available to try.
UPDATE: I keep going back and they keep impressing. Some very creative beers being made here. Shout out to the owners for their commitment to community engagement. Always looking for a way to give back. ORIGINAL POST: Holy cow! Some amazing beers right out of the gate! Shakopee Red and Hopped for Mama are winners! And what an amazing transformation of this space, its beautiful!
Great new brewery with solid beers on tap. Compared to a lot of breweries popping up their product stands out. Staff was friendly and welcoming and the roof patio is a solid bonus. Happy to have a good brewery so close to my house.
Will definitely return here, the beer was great especially the Lager and the Saisson, we bought a crowler of the sassion. The bartender was very helpful and friendly. Clean place and many beer on tap.
Great beers, knowledgeable beertenders, its always a good time at the Brewhall! We have never had a beer we didnt like. Try Holmes Landing, Hankering, Nutty Mad, or Shakopee Red. They are some of our faves!
This is a great little spot in Shakopee. The place has a nice ambiance with wood floors, exposed brick and stained glass windows over the door. Seating is either at the bar rail or at high-tops for 5-8. On a busy night, plan to share a table if its just 2 of you, which i think is kinda cool. The beers they had on tap the night we were there were mostly ales - an Irish red, an amber red, a Scotch ale (really good), and a brown ale. They also have an IPA, a porter and some others. I just really liked the variety. We were just going to have one, but stayed for a second to be able to try something else. Im sure well be back!
I love this place. Everyone there is so helpful and passionate about what they do. They have a great array of beers. We tried 8 different beers (2 flightsand I can truly say that this place has the best craft brews overall that my husband and I have tried throughout the various MN breweries weve gone to. I could easily have a glass or two (or more :)of almost everything on the menu. They are nestled in a great spot right in downtown Shakopee. Lastly, the owner is passionate about bringing the community together and supporting other small businesses all while trying to provide the best for his customers. Great job!!
Amazing beer and a very welcoming environment!
Great new brewery in the SW metro. Beers are European style- fairly complex but drinkable. A few more American styles - light and red.Much better atmosphere than most breweries. They are in a 100+ year old building in a great “small town” downtown. Other bars and restaurants near but I’ve ordered food for delivery to the restaurant and enjoyed their beer.Tonight I had a pinned keg with Wild Turkey hops. Great beer and a great place to meet friends.
Great beer! Did a holiday cookie pairing while there, fun experience!
Very nice taproom. Fun crowd and very nice staff. We loved The Six... Nice drinkable IPA. The Saison was really good, too. Great TVs for watching games and an overall nice feel to the place. Will definitely be back.
Friendly staff and surprisingly good beer for such a young brewery. Well done!
Very good beer. Nice location. Very bright and clean. Pleasant staff. Highly recommend.
Cozy welcoming feel, tasty beer options, and truly outgoing staff! We will certainly be back again and again!
