Shakespeare Garden - Park and Garden in Evanston, United States
Such a peaceful, quiet haven
Hidden gem . Little far away from downtown. Hard to find. But looks secret garden.
I wish I can visit here everyday
Its just a fountain lol
Great outdoor atmosphere. Secluded and quiet...feels like a private getaway.
Smallish garden that was quiet and quaint to visit. No playground or doggie area inside, but had a very " Secret Garden" vibe.
Did my heart love till now? Forswear it, sight! For I ne’er saw true beauty till this night -W.S I am so glad That I was brought to this magical place! The night couldn’t have been anymore perfect! 8/5/22 FOR EH VER💖🪐💖
Cute little garden
Beautiful little garden. Be aware is really small and has not much place to sit. Might look bigger in the pictures. Still an oasis of peace!
Nice
I thought it was bigger but when I got there, I realized it was so small. It was still nice tho and got some good shots 😍
Very peaceful place. Well maintained. Beautiful roses and other flowers that bloom in the spring, summer and fall. Always like to visit when back on campus. In my years this was one of the popular places for weddings. Hopefully they will fix the sundial.
❤️
So peaceful and quiet. Many, many bees and butterflies. Good for contemplation or bug watching!!
This is a hidden place on the North Campus of Northwestern University. There are lights for walking through the garden under the stars. A lovely spot for a quiet picnic for two (bring candles for even more ambience)
This is a beautiful garden. Lots of opportunity to take pictures. Great place for quiet time to think and pray.
Lovely garden, so beautiful and peaceful.Great to read a book + study.
Staying in Evanston, I often visit the place. I love this small garden. So quiet & tranguilI feel like going back to Shakespeares era. Especially I love rose among Shakespeares flowers.
Clam and peaceful places
Boring
Beutiful garden
Beautiful spot. Northwesterns campus is beautiful.
Walk beautiful, lay out is lovely
Tiny, private beautifully arranged garden ensconced in a campus setting
Little oasis within the campus
This is a quiet, hidden away and peaceful garden where my daughter had her wedding. Beautiful and unforgettable!
It was my first time here and I be went on a perfect day to enjoy this garden. Even if it had been hotter, I would have enjoyed my visit because theres plenty of shade and cool places to sit. Its not a big space but it can accommodate a small crowd (which in this Covid times should be avoided). So swing by for some sonnet inspiration.
There is a surreal calm and quietness that accompanies this spot.
So beautiful!!! This place made me want to go back to school.
A well-cared, historic British garden. A hidden gem of Evanston.
Very small park located on the northwestern campus. Pretty secluded and a little hard to find, but if you are walking in the area it is a must see.
A hidden gem.
Gorgeous garden on Northwesterns Evanston campus. You can feel the history here. I like to imagine all the people before me who have walked this path over the last century.
Hidden Jewel!
Its nice but it is small it needs to be taken care of as well.
Very well kept and clean.
What a wonderful find while doing the Garden walk. Its very much an English cottage garden in a Formal layout. A must visit. There are some special plants there.
A super gem on the campus of Northwestern University. At this writing, the garden is almost 90 years old. Based on the concept of including the flowers that appear in Shakespeares writings, this mature gardens design really holds up. Of course, visit in the Spring for maximum impact.
Stunning gardens, and the way in which history has been applied to every plant selection and artistic detail is remarkable. Simply gorgeous and well worth the trip.
Beautiful quiet space.
A beautiful beautiful place to be.
Quiet, serene garden in a tucked away place on campus.
My son Timothy showed this to me the second year he was at Northwestern. It is said to contain all of the plants and flowers ever mentioned by Shakespeare. I thoroughly enjoiyed walking around and observing the plantings in bloom, and meditating in the quiet of this tucked away garden! I recommend it to everyone who visits the Northwestern campus.
