Useless place with pick pocketers that steal phones!Worst Experience of my life in that Tarven!If you go there dont go in with your phone because they have Thieves in VIP just there to pick pocket customers.

It was my first time here and it turned out to be fun actually. It was indeed a beautiful night. I enjoyed the vibe.

Great place with friendly staff. Place has affordable food and drinks, they need to improve their restrooms ... it was a nightmare, sink doesnt work, door handles were broken and if you were to find toilet paper itd be on the floor.Also … great music

I enjoyed my food the steak was well done I loved it.The staff Very friendly.

Music is good.. Sound. The stuff is extra helpful and jovial. Having 2 toilets, 1 for gents and 1 ladies is quiet a dread when one has to go. Queues by the toilets. And also the roof was leaking, had to move from the corner close to the bathroom.

The bar is vibrant socialising spot for a drink and good music ,however not advisable at night as there are phone pick pocketors and thugs loitering outside the venue.

Ill never understand why a place that gets so busy like Shakers has only one till? You will spend more time at the bar than actually having a good time because getting a drink is such a mission 😭

Not a terrible place to hang around. Although the surrounding area is quite unsafe. Remaining inside the restaurant is your best bet. Lovely service and decent ambiance.

The neighbouring club/s steal and mistreats Shakers patrons. Be careful not to be poached by the restaurantsclubs upstairs or next to shakers. Myself and my cousins got dragged out for jumping to our favourite song. Returned home with torn garments and the bouncers pick pocketed us in the process. Also intimidated us to pay an inflated bill. What a horrible experience.

This place is a total vibe when the music is playing over weekends. Good for larger groups, sundowners, private parties and a night out. Lots of space with very attentive bartenders who make 🔥 cocktails!

Great vibe, wonderful music and amazing drinks. The service was a problem as waiters did not really pay attention to us as much as we have liked. Overall, great place.

I had a terrible experience today.. 31 Aug 2019..bought two Berry mixed juices.. They were terrible in taste.. Very watery. We could not even take more than three sips of the drinks. Ended up paying R126 and we left the drinks with jam jars still full.

Do not expect to sit down after 6pm, the place is always packed exept during the day, be prepared to be stepped on, alcohol spilled on you, very poor service and the toilets arent as clean, Overall its a Gay Friendly place to be at on sunday nights.

Good vibe. Decent prices on drinks and the sound is great. Just needs a clever way to allocate seats as it does get packed with limited seating options.

Its always a nice vibe, decent food, good music and the drinks are cold. The staff is very friendly and will accommodate you the moment you step in, however later on in the evening when the crowds have pulled in it becomes difficult to move around or to get someone to assist with your order I assume that they get overwhelmed, at that point the best thing to do is to order directly at the bar also give yourself at least 10 minutes at the bar to get your drinks, this is not unique to shakers it happens everywhere so dont let it scare you off. Its definitely worth a visit or six.For those who may not want to drive to that part of town believe me when I say there is no shortage of ubers and/or taxify.

The place has great waiters. They provide a warm space during cold nights with open fire but its safe. The security is very tight and the drinks and food are affordable.

Great vibe. Gets very packed, but still worth going. The service is not that great but luckily theres a mini liquor store in the place so avoid going to the buy from the bar and buy from the mini store. You wont even have to leave the place. Its all in one space.

Shakers is a great spot to dance up a storm! I love the fact that the play different genres of music not only house music but Rnb as well( super psyched). Great place to chill out with a few of your buddies over a couple of drinks.

Cool place for one/two drinks the soccer on the TV ruins the vibe and the food is meat and chips (pub food vibevenue has changed too many times it gets very busy waiters ask for tips (do tip if youre billl is highand its kind of free flow table you may end up sharing a table but effort does get made to fix it, the place has a vibe not unique but a Maboneng busy spot

My friend and I were arguing on picking up the bill each of us insisting on wanting to pay the bill when my friend Nicky raised her voice a little more and said "You are not paying for the bill I am treating you for your birthday"The owner from Sharwamas overheard us and came over to say we were not paying for the meal as it was my birthday. What a pleasant surprise. The food was bursting in flavour. Shakers was a vibe! As they say these days. Amazing vibe I must add.

Meat is overpriced, when I asked supervisor why it was so he told me go somewhere else if you dont like our prices. The other staff was friendly and provided exclEllen service

This place gets full of all kind of characters after a certain hour.. The music is usually good. Can get very packed at this joint. Food (bbq or braiis served here and its not bad at all.. The energy can be intense here.. Ive walked out quite a few times. But for the occasions I stayed, I met very friendly people and had interesting conversations. If you want to let loose, go shake it at shakers. Just be prepared for some possible competition.

Is nice but mostly for free spirited souls nice gay spot, also straight people can go there it gets packed so get there on time to have a sit and be careful of people who pick pocket some people who will want to spoil your time there is always happening on Sundays also month end.

Situated in the heart of the Maboneng precinct is a pub and nightspot trendy for its friendly and simple design of modern chill. Multiracial and multi aged revelers comes to fill up this spot as early as 17h00 and light meals are served throughout. I recommend a visit for a chilled Sunday from 14h00.

Nice bar nice atmosphere situated in beaming maboneng precinct. The only problem is the toilets they need to improve the quality of the toilets

Friends invited me to meet up with them over at Shakers on a Saturday night. Not the best experience. It was so full I had people stepping on my toes several times, it was impossible to dance. Paid 50 bucks for entrance, music is great and loud, drinks are not too expensive, and there’s plenty of pretty ladies. Bouncers are rude though.

Its a nice place to vibe on a weekend really. But I personally think this tendency of having entrance fee on a Sunday is very ridiculous. I mean the place is too small and can hardly accomodate 150 people without anyone stepping on your toes. And when its raining, there is not enough shade for everyone even seat. I went there on the 3rd of December with a company of 4 friends and it was so packed to the gate we had to go vibe somewhere else. The place attract enough crowds due to its popularity so I dont understand why do we have to pay to get inside. I mean surely they killing it in revenue so why be greedy? Especially for a place that has one toilet for guys to use,im not sure about the ladies set up though. Maybe management should also look into that

The bar is lit. It gives a great weekend experience. The VIP section, rooftop and bar is well structured and has class. The tables have enough space between them to allow dancing for "shakers" in the mood. They serve a wide variety of alcohol at reasonable prices. Its one of the hyped places in Maboneng

Awesome new bar with a great setting. Great place with a great owner who is truly invested in his establishment from chatting with his customers and even down to mixing beer to taste perfectly in your mouth. I hate beer but boy have I wanted to have another sip of his peach beer. Go anytime and this place has a fun environment surrounded by trendy shops and restaurants.
