Shahi Nan Kebab - Kebab Shop in Luton, United Kingdom
Poor customer service with below average food. When giving feedback on the quality of food served I was ignored. Will avoid in future. One star is a compliment.
Went there to dine in and had a good experience they have a good sitting area and the guy who served us was really professional. We had qeema naan and really liked them. Overall we had a good experience
My first visit ever despite being a Lutonian, the food isnt the best. I heard very highly of this place in the past but never actually tried it as most places in Bury Park arent worth it. Theyre not hygienically clean. This place didnt have a place to wash your hands whilst having dining area.
Great food, nice atmosphere
Good service, delicious food definitely recommended
very nice lamb kebab always love that
Unfortunately food is far too spicy, 😕
Really enjoyed our kebab roll and chicken karahi.. thumbs up from hubby and me ..
The food was delicious and the tandoori nan is very soft and good customer service with friendly staff especially AsifFrom A syed
The best kebabs in luton hands down, always tasty & consistent. Thats why ive been coming here for over 20yrs now
Shahi naan kabab Dunstable Road is one of the worst places to eat. Kababs were dry, motton karahi was very sweet. Poor service, we were not even given tissues and glasses. Place didnt look clean. I would avoid going there again.
This used to be a place where kebabs were worth dying for. Sadly over the years standards have declined to a stage where it is not worth visiting again. Bought 2 x large kebab rolls yesterday after a hard days work to eat at home. Kebabs did not come off the grill nor did the nan. Instead saw it coming from under the counter god knows when it was cooked. It was stone cold with soggy salad in it. Did not even take it home but dumped it in a street bin. So sad, this used to be a place to take family and friends for a great experience.
Excellent Nan kebabs, I recommend going for the lamb kebab roll in naan add lots of chilli sauce and enjoy!
Worse place to eat with no coustomer service, food was not fresh, we order chicken curry ,lamb karahi , chiken wings , spring rol and mix grill , i was surprized when i saw my mix grill was served is normal wiht plate was dead cold and i mention i need mild food but its was very spicy , dont go specially dont take your guests thier you will be embarrassed , waiter was saying you need to pic up your drinks from counter he is not serving that unacceptable behaviour , when i complained the guy on the till was saying he is tied thats y 😡 not recommendedNot visit again
Food was not fresh. BBQ was days old and served reheated, which made it dry. Extremely poor table and customer service. Not recommended at all, especially not to take guests or family there! It used to be good place a few years ago but not anymore!Avoid this place !!!
Really really terrible food disgusting. UNHYGIENIC. SMALL PORTIONS. Never coming to Luton again DONT let these people fool you. Flavourless food. Doesn’t deserve one star.
absolutely terrible. food was disgusting and flavourless and cold. didnt take card either and were not helpful at all. worst experience in a long time.
The pictures online do not do this place justice! it is a hidden gem. We had the mutton tikka starter and seekh kebabs starters. mutton tikka roll and lamb karahi with tandoori naans. the taste was definitely the type to come back for. I really liked the interior design of the seating area. the prices were more than affordable. super cheap in my opinion considering mutton tikka starter is only around £3. loved it here :D. will be back for more mutton tikka rolls on our next visit to luton next month. will also remember to take pictures next time :PEdit- Just read the previous reviews and in regards to taste what we ordered was absolutely great. top of the list would be the mutton tikka rolls. and its a really good takeaway with a nice dining area, not a top notch Michelin star restaurant.
Delicious food. Live there kebab roll and special chips. They also delivered very fast.
One of the worst places in Luton. Small portions. Currys have hardly any meat! Kebabs are OK, but why are they soooo small. Stop being so stingy. Give customer what they pay for.
I wish i could give 0 stars i am very disappointed by the customer service at this restaurant i can not beleive i had to carry utensils food and drinks myself even though we did eat in at the restaurant, however taste itself was a joke, i would rather go to a chicken shop but not at this so called restaurant. What a disgrace.
1. Tables are not cleaned. I informed dude at counter and he was trying to convince me to pick another table instead, but all tables had food crumbs / sauce all over.2. I had to ask them to clean the table twice, and cleaning consists of a wipe down where crumbs go straight to floor.3. Due to Covid customers are required to order and then collect your food once the waiter tells you it’s ready. … ??! How do you have this rule in place when the restaurant is an absolute tip inside.4. Ordered mix grill and mutton tikka / lamb chops was smelly, chicken tikka was raw.5. Seekh kebab was good, £1.10 for half a stick.6. I asked for sauce and was told to collect it from their ‘counter’ which basically had two jugs of sauce and some used lotas of sauce.7. Ordered mango lassi which was super warm. Only found out they had no ice after my plastic glass came to my table. How can you serve this drink warm?8. Genuinely worried about my health after eating there….9. This place needs to be shut down for health and safety reasons.
Horrific service - actually zero service. You have to read the menu at the front, and order at the front. Then go collect your own dishes and plates and food. Then find the big jug of chilli and chutney, that you have to pass to other tables if they run out.The staff don’t even clean down tables, they really don’t care about the rep anymore.Food has gone down hill too, only the seekh kebabs are nice everything else is awful. The chicken tikka and chicken karahi are so hard, just seem like it’s reheated meat. Before the pandemic we used to go frequently, never will go again now.
This place has a reputation for good quality food. i use to go there often so recently went to visit with family.Upon entering staff/waiter can be seen playing on phone half asleep. The guy behind the counter was welcoming though!! We went to the back to get a table but couldnt force myself to sit down .The table was so dirty and sticky had dry mayo all over it my Wife volunteered to clean it as one of the staff who was clearing the tables totally ignored our concern. The table cloth was more dirty than the table itself so at this point we decided to walk out.I did make the guy behind the counter aware he was nice enough hence the 2 stars.
We just ordered 6 Chicken Biryani to feed my guest. The Biryani is absolutely disgusting. It tasted like rice with left over curry mix together and on top of that there is hardly any chicken. My husband said spicy and they just added the spice on top which u can taste the raw chilli powder. So disappointed. Never order with these lot. Not worth the money
FOOD POISONING!!!! BE WARNED!!!!! Had shiekh kebabs and naan ( 1 KEBBAB CUT IN HALF AND COUNTED AS 2 KEBABS, RIP OFF. absolutely tiny kebabs. Salad was not fresh and brown on edges. I HAD VOMITING AND DIARRHEA 🤢😬🤢 FOR 5DAYS AND STILL I DONT FEEL RIGHT ON THE 6th DAY......DONT DO IT TO YOURSELVES PLEASE,
Worst place to eat! Came here yesterday- first time visiting This place, absolutely vile! Toilets were disgusting with no tissue, asked one of the waiters who shrugged his shoulders & then gave me a napkin? Can’t believe it. Gave the place a chance because we didn’t have much choice elsewhere & was hungry! Food had to be ordered at the till & once ready we had to collect it from the till, what a joke! Mix grill was £14 and not worth 1 penny of it, dry tasteless and small portion. The mutton Karahi was undercooked & chewy again no taste, naan looked like they were reheated & again vile! Food came to £30- service was rubbish, & what a absolute waste of money! Never again. I don’t understand how this place is still running. Luckily there’s a new place open called chai & chappati where we went after & was amazing!
Taste Not Great. Food very Average. Customer service Really Bad. No Table Service. Only Disposable glasses given for drinks. No Cutlery. NEVER RECOMMENDED. DO NOT ORDER OR VISIT ❌❌
We went on Saturday for a family birthday meal.. We was very disappointed with the quality of the food the presentation was very dirty n greasy plates with lots of oil sitting in plates.. We had starters ckn tikka, wings, lamb chops and sheesh kebabs all food was smelly and had a off taste.. We decided not to eat main here so complained before we left and the guys were not interested. Next morning we all had upset stomach and were sick.. A big no no from me
One of the worst curry shops I’ve ever ate from. Ordered a chicken tikka biryani and saag chicken. Biryani wasn’t a biryani! It was chicken tikka pieces slabbed in with some rice and food colouring. Tasteless. Saag chicken tasted awful - chicken pieces were rock hard, not fresh. Saag lacked any seasoning.
Reviewing lateI visited them last week with my friend at night. We ordered food from them. They served us in store. The quality of Chiken kharai is really bad.Its distrub our stomach.I didnt even slept that night. My friend got loose motion and health got disrtub 2 3 days.
This use to be the number one place I would always eat at as the quality was amazing, but from today’s experience it’s definitely put me off as I was told they can no longer give separate sauces and would have to buy the kebab with sauces on etc as this is how they are going to provide they kebabs. For this reason, I wouldn’t be returning as quality and service has dropped.
Got a chicken doner from here and the guy who serves dropped a piece on to the counter and put it back in my box. Then put tongs leaning against the wall with one end touching floor which he used again. Kebab rolls are nice and so are the chips. But the customer service is terrible. I wont be coming back.
This place has the best sheekh kebabs in a 50 mile radius. When lock down ends go in and give them a try and ask for them well done. If you find a better kebab then this come back to me.
Had a leg of lamb (pre ordered). It was delicious. The meat fell away from the bone. Perfectly spiced and cooked. Looks like Ill be back soon.
Very messy place, they have raised the prices to charge customers extra money, cleaning staff is extremely rude. Food was very spicy eventhough I requested it to be mild. Have stopped taking cards as well when it is preferred to pay by card because of Corona 🤔. Not happy at all by leaving these kind of comments but it is true... Will never try again..
Worse experience ever. First time visit Luton and went to this place. First staff were very rude, secondly food came cold and kebab were so hard, that you cant even eat. We order very hot Chicken wings - we got tastles chicken wings and so much salt on it. We returned food, because was not possible eat. After all i got food poisoning which took me 2 days to recover. Definitely not recommend.
Good restaurant for eat good customer service strongly recommended.
Excellent food and very reasonable prices. The spice level is slightly on the higher side, so a word of warning for those who cant tolerate much spice. The food is always hot.Eat in is always a better option, as they bring it sizzling hot to your table. The menu isnt super extensive, but there are plenty of options for both meat lovers and vegetarians.Definitely recommend, although parking is an issue during the day, evening might be a better option.
Most their food was not nice, their naans were nice, curry had no flavour, some of their sheek kebabs you can tell were microwaved but they got a 1 star because of the service. Places like this i never expect a 5 star ritz style service but being nice is a pretty normal thing to be in any business. I came in with a table of 18, the waiter was so disrespectful infront of my family, they made a mistake but he refuses to have made a mistake even when his own kitchen staff agreed it was a mistake, waiting long is normal for a big table but when we are the only customers shouldnt take 45 minues for basic kids food to be made. Everything was dirty i.e cutlery, glasses, naan tray etc. Salad was old too. Not worth it. Now on the way going out there is the waiter and a kitchen staff sitting on the front with feet up and just bare foot, which is so unhygienic, and one of the staff kept looking at the ladies in my family in a very uncomfortable way. Not the place for family, not a place for women. Not really for anyone. I do not reccomend this place. You are better going to a takeaway kebab place and eat in the rain.
A range of dishes, good portion sizes and yummy food. Good customer service.
Good food at good prices, all fresh! The kebab rolls are cooked and made right in front of you and taste amazing!. Their currys need more flavour though, theyre quite bland atm. But really nice seating area at the back, decent family venue.
Ordered set meal for one which costs £8.75 and this is what we got. Wed asked for chicken karahi and were instead given a normal chicken curry which was seriously bland. I am not sure about their other dishes but certainly wont recommended any of the set meals as there is no value for money and certainly no taste as well.Avoid if you can.
Pretty place, beautiful food, great value!
Cheap and cheerful South Asian food cooked fresh in cafe setting. Lots of local British Pakistani families enjoying, always a good sign. Food served in the karahis (mini woka nice touch. Not a place for a business meeting maybe, toilets leave a lot to be desired, but for casual dining in a relaxed atmosphere, Ive found this to be one of the best in Bury Park
Mashallah great sheekh kebabs and lamp chops. Curries taste great when served on site when served traditionally in the pan. Im attaching the menu as I could find one anywhere on line! Hope this helps.
ReAlly really bad food. Rude and No service staff. Dont go there waste of money and time. Prices are High compared to their standards.
Not impressed at allMutton Karahi and chicken karahi taste sweet surprisinglyKebabs aren’t done wellNot really cleanStaff is also not welcomingPoor performance all in all
This restaurant provides Indian/Pakistani food. From my experience the food is tasty and portion sizes are decent. They take into account how hot you want the food. They also provide screens for extra privacy if you wish. Customer service is okay but not always consistent.
Lovely kebabs here top 5 for sure. Nice sauces nice curries. Cant go go wrong really
