Campground offering RV & tent sites, plus a heated pool, games & group activities.
Great people beautiful place to stay. I will be coming here for the next couple years and then some
This is a great , quite, RV Place. The office staff Chad and Daisy are great and helpful , they are wiling to help between their limits, definitely recommend this place, even for short or long term stay. Thanks
Friendly staff. Best wifi we´ve had so far. Beautyfull place to stay
We had an RV rally here in May, 2022. The staff was very helpful and the facilities were excellent. There is a lot to do in the area and it is a good off season rally venue.
We have stayed for a few years now and love the park. The staff are friendly and very kind. The park is beautifully maintained, everyone works very hard. They have many events planned for the guests which are so much fun. Cant wait to come back.
Would recommend for a stay to be close to shopping, restaurants and some beaches & parks. Still a bit of a drive and traffic was heavy (during spring break). Be aware that you will need to make a U turn to get into the road and traffic can be heavy at times. We didn’t use the pool because it was always busy. Laundry room needs work, 5 out of the 11 washers were out of order and one was reserved for pet blankets. This is mainly a snowbird resort but will work if you can’t find anywhere else to stay.
Awesome vacation RV park. Short drive to the best beaches ever! Weve never been taken care of and treated like friends in all the RV places weve stayed at. We will be coming back every year. Thank you
Just got here and our site is disgusting! Non functional picnic table, dirty site, nobody available to help. They gave us a site that says on the water but it looks like a ditch. Office is closed so we won’t be getting any help. If you’re lucky enough to have your call go thru to the front office, be aware that she just yells.
Love this place. Chad and Daisy make it a pleasure to stay here. The entire staff is helpful and awesome. The people that make up this great community are genuine and just plain fun. There are plenty of activities to keep you busy daily. The heated pools are spectacular. So now you’re wondering…why only 4 stars? We had the unfortunate experience of a large dog in town square barking daily for 3 months. This was our third year here and we are looking forward to our fourth with an even longer stay.Highly recommend Blueway RV Village.
The location is great! It is right off of Highway 41 - but tucked off the highway so you don’t get all the noise. Great location to get to Naples or Captiva and everywhere between. The pool area is great - two pools and plenty of chairs.
The staff is super friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here. Its close to everything. They have activities to participate in almost daily, including bingo, karaoke, crafts, pig roast, talent show, pool parties, golf cart parades, etc. The park really quiets down at night and there are no issues. Everyone seems to get along great. We met lots of nice people here. The swimming pools are nice. Its been a great overall experience. We will be back next year.
Great place to stay. We came down in mid December without a plan for how long we would stay in the area. We ended up staying for 4 months and all throughout that time we had to extend our site multiple times. Daisy at the front desk did all she could to accommodate us. She was able to switch the sites around to let us stay put and not have to move the trailer. We really appreciated this and it saved us from a major headache many times. The grounds are well cared for and although it is a commercial RV park it still feels like you have nature around. The pool and showers/toilets are well taken care of and feel clean for the most part. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone I know.
My wife and I checked in December 18, 2021 and it has been a very positive experience. There are many activities and the staff is awesome. Chad and Daisy are friendly and courteous. Everybody is super friendly! Were planning our next trip here already. Highly recommend this place.
ITS HOME away from home.We are a full time RVing family of five (plus our two pupsand when we first came in 2020 it was for a month stay. We loved it so much we extended our stay for three months and have been coming back ever since. The community is amazing, we have so many friends here. The community wouldn’t be what it is, without the amazing staff. They work so hard to make this place great. There are activities around the clock to do here at Blueway. We love it and are excited to come back again next year!! Actually, we wish we never had to leave.
This is Alina Kelley, I have been staying here since Dec 18 2021 and I absolutely love it. Friendly staff, clean atmosphere, and always something to do. This was my first time here but it definitely wont be my last. I highly recommend it.
Very friendly staff .keeps you entertained if you want with lots of things to do and the pool parts are a nice middle of the week activity. Hopeing can work out for next years stay with them. Would recommend blueway to anyone.
The staff are so fun and helpful. There are workout classes, pool parties and events If that’s what you’re into! There’s also laundry, pool, hot tubs, life sized chess, corn hole, shuffle board and more. Everyone in the park waves and is super nice. Very dog friendly. 10/10 recommend.
We stayed 4 nights with our 5th wheel, last week. My husband and I were very pleased with the facilities, and the staff was helpful and patient with our questions. We observed several staff members working to keep the grounds clean and the pride in their efforts is evident! Lots of fun, planned activities for those wanting to participate. Popular campground for snowbirds and we hope to be one of them next winter!
We would like to thank Chad and his staff for the great experience we had while staying at the resort. They offer a lot activities throughout the week so there was always something entertaining going on. Would highly recommend this resort to all campers.Thank you Jo-Ann and Ken Miller
We stayed for 2 weeks and this RV park is the most friendly, clean, organized, and fun park we have ever stayed at! The entire staff seemed to love their jobs and made special efforts to interact with guests. The activities there were frequent and entertaining. Best park ever! Debbie and Bob
We are arrived this evening and were greeted by one of the owners. He helped us get settled in and invited us to a wine and cheese with all the residents tonight. It was fantastic! Weve already arranged to meet with some of the other residents tomorrow for activities. This has a super vibe and is very resident friendly!
Great place clean pools and restrooms. sites are good size and grassy with cement pad. only negative is the laundry needs a good cleaning (not just a mop joband machines need work. the staff is exceptional0 will be back in march 2022
**Detailed Review**We moved into BlueWay RV Village mid March of this year as full timers. We live full time in our Fifth-Wheel and we were able to renovate the whole thing and so far it has been the BEST experience. Chad, the manager is great at keeping the park clean, organized, and if something is going wrong in the park he is there in literally two seconds to fix it or see what’s going on. Very professional. We really appreciate how beautiful the park is, the pools are always clean, the hot tub is great for “cold” evenings in Florida. The groundsmen do an impeccable job with cleaning up the palm fronds, mowing, and all the sweet ladies that keep all the flowers bright and lively. Not everyone gets recognized for the hard work they do and it’s important. Your residents appreciate you. ☀️My (Mariapersonal favorites are that we get to decorate our sites!! The activities that we have here are the best! We meet for craft evenings, game nights, and small get togethers with the park and community, the holiday parades and contests, the bonfires, and not to mention how wonderful all of our neighbors are! We couldn’t have prayed for better neighbors. ❤️ all around great place to live. I am not afraid to go walking. Come on in, stay, and enjoy your time in Florida at the BlueWay RV Village whether you are moving in full time or are staying for a week with the whole fam. You won’t regret it. ❤️
This place is a hidden gem. Great pools, activities, fast internet, super friendly residents, and right off the main strip. But the real special thing about this place is the staff. The entire staff hear is amazing but Chad and Jenn really stand out to make the experience the best.
It gets 2 stars because of Jenni. If I could rate Jenni as an individual - she would get 5 stars. She is an excellent employee there and Shady Acres/Cove should be lucky to have her. Now for Chad....if I could rate him as an individual it would be one star (can I give zero here?). And he is the manager!! He is very off putting in person. When we went in for our walk through to possibly move in - he was very negative, had very poor body language, and horrible communication skills. We overlooked it because Jenni was so great. Needless to say, after letting them know everything, needing to secure a place to stay ASAP, and giving my credit card to pay for our own background checks, Chad emailed me and stated it would not work because of my American Bulldog. I am not sure why we got this far along with not being told this. I believe things happen for a reason and now we are reserved, for the year, in a very nice and renovated RV park where my baby girl is more than welcome. They also did not make us jump through all of these hoops. Our site is HUGE with plenty of room and fully concreted. My husband and I do not understand why, at Shady Acres/Cove, they squeeze all of the long term guests into these older, little sites and reserve the nice bigger sites for short term travel guests. It seems backwards to us. The park has a ton of potential but they really do need to lose Chad during this transformation. You are probably losing the people Jenni cant save if he is involved. We wish the very BEST to Jenni and her new role at the park. She really is an asset. This review is meant to save the next person time. We know there are rules, and we would have been the ones to abide by them and volunteer our time to this park. Now we will somewhere else. Since this park is under new ownership, maybe they will take a look at who is managing their newly acquired park and start to see why it is poorly kept. Yes, its older and needs a facelift. But there are other things that can be done to keep it cleaned up.Takeaway - Jenni is the BEST! And we would have loved to suck up the downfalls in order to be a part of the group to make it better. But, Chad is the worst.Happy Camping!!!
We came here on Labor Day weekend and it was a last minute booking. They had a special going and they were going to have a DJ at pool and band at night and Food trucks etc for the holiday. We drove over from the East coast of FL and we almost didnt go because it was supposed to rain all weekend. I am glad we went, the weatherman was wrong again. This used to be called Shady Acres and all the signage still says Shady Acres (In fact I think when they ran my CC it came up Shady Acres)This RV park has a certain amount of space that is for traveling guests and then there are quite a few full timers here. They didnt have a DJ that I saw, but they had speakers and hooked up to someones phone and played music. The band was good, seemed to be a local group and friendly with everyone there. I do not remember seeing the food truck but I was not looking either. All in all, its a campsite, with 2 newly renovated pools. I only use it to park my RV and do things during the day. Its close to a lot of cool places. When we went to go hook up we had a wasps nest in our plug area and they came right away to spray.I would certainly go back.
Poor customer relations... could not get anyone on phone to make reservations. Finally returned one of 7 attempts. Once in park no-one was ever in the office. Dumpsters are very effectively hidden. We finally put trash into barrel until it would hold no more. Poorly designed sites. Too narrow and easy to run over sewer hook up.
The staff is super accommodating and friendly, specifically Chad. Would recommend based on sheer hospitality. The pool has an amazing setup and there are pet waste stations throughout.
Chad is wonderful and caring. He takes great care of the property. All of the residents I have met are very kind. Two pools and a hot tub are always a wonderful amenity after a long day in the Florida sun. Property is clean and secure.
I moved into the park as a temporary residence until we can find a house to buy. I just moved to Florida from a state up north. When I moved in, the park was fairly empty so there were many spots to choose from. I picked one close to the pool. It is really convenient to everything. The pool is nice and there are other nice amenities in the park also. I havent met the staff in person but they were friendly and helpful on the phone. I really enjoy staying here at least during the summer when there are not as many campers here.
Shady acres was perfect .My grandparents came down from out of state and were impressed with the place. The place is big with a multitude of spots , and 2 pools! The 2 pools were in immaculate condition I’m actually a local pool tech who tries to be picky . My grandpa is a traveling welder so they stay in many rv parks. This one is wonderful . Multiple dumpsters , plenty of washers and dryers, dog park, big chess game, bonfire pits , easy navigation through the park , it’s nice . My grandparents knew they weren’t going to make it there before the office doors closed. Would you believe with a quick phone call the staff was waiting for them with so much hospitality!! After getting them all checked it the nice man (excuse me for missing his name came down to the spot on a golf cart made sure my grandpa was all backed in and hooked up and gave him a free golf cart rental for the 5 day stay !It was overall a great experience. I can’t guarantee the free golf cart but I can say you will have one less thing to worry about if you pick this place :)
Peaceful, nice place, lovely pool area, however, bathrooms & laundry area in disrepair & needs cleaning, toilet paper missing & soap dispensers not working, garbage containers maxup. Probably shortage of maintenance and cleaning people like many businesses are.
I’ve spent 4 month here this winter. Had a wonderful time. There are so many things you can join in on. Chad and the staff have been so friendly. I joined in with water aerobics, low impact was so nice. Bingo 2 nights a week was so fun, I won some money too. They had movie nights, bondfires, game nights, coffee and donuts on Thursdays. Cornhole contests. Veterans parade was awesome. Pool parties had such good music. The chili cook off was fun. There are just so many things to do here.I’ll be back next season!
Stayed here 3 nights this March. Nice park in many respects. Folks in the office do a good job. Lovely pool. Unbelievably, there is no dump station anywhere in this large park. Never happened to us before and weve camped everywhere. Despite all the amenities, Shady Acres is too cheap to provide an ordinary dump station. One has to dump in ones own site. This didnt not work for us and proved a disaster. Oh, and the mens restroom needs serious repairs.
We spent our first winter after retirement at Shady Acres this past February and March. What an awesome campground! Booked already for next year! Chad the manager does an outstanding job. Pool parties, exercise classes, corn hole, horse shoes, shuffleboard, golf outings and more! Two pools!! Hot tub! This place has it all. The spots are more spacious than many I’ve seen and we have palm trees!! Can’t wait to be back!
This is by far the BEST campground we have ever been to! We originally were only scheduled to be here a month and loved it so much we extended another month!! We have 3 big dogs along with a 3 year old and it was perfect. So many fun things to do cornhole, scavenger hunt, the amazing pool area, and church on Sundays! Plus the dog park! Chad is by far an amazing guy that everyone enjoys to be around! He always knows how to get the party started and make everyone laugh! The entire staff is great! Thank you Chad & Daisy especially for making our winter so amazing! We are excited to be here for season next year!!! 🏝️🙏💙
An amazing hidden Gem! I live here locally and have been camping regularly for 3 years and never realized this park was here, while having my tile floors replaced we stayed there for 1 week and couldn’t be happier we did. The management staff was excellent, very accommodating and helpful. There is an amazing resort style pool area that is second to none. Overall is private and secluded with 5 star friendly and warm customer service, leveled lots with all the amenities and easy access. 10-15 minutes away from everything including 3 malls, beaches, and shopping.
We love Shady Acres Rv park. This year will be our 3rd winter spent here. We love Chad the manager, and all the guests are very friendly to know. great activities and pool parties. Close to all beaches and a great area to explore! Lots to to do. There’s always a surprise when we get there due to the fact that they are always upgrading the facilities.
We stayed here two weeks in February 2021 and had a very pleasant stay. Its like a little community. The staff are very friendly and the place is well maintained. Having said that, of the three times I tried to use their showers the hot water was out twice. I do wish theyd put in new faucets in the showers so a person can tell where their "at" in the hot-cold range. We ended up having to extend our stay two days because of car issues and they extended our stay with no problem. Thanks for the military discount on our daily stay! My advice is try NOT to get sites 181-186.
This was our first stay at this park but we met a lot of folks who come back year after year. Ill admit I have somewhat mixed feelings. We were in what is called the "Meadow"...basically three streets with medium width, back-in, full-hookup spaces. Gravel parking place with a concrete pad. There is a nice picnic table....and, to their credit, during these Covid times, they put a new (plasticcover on the table when we arrived. (they also gave us a personalized towel and a small umbrella at check-in Most of the people I talked to liked the park, but a few had experienced less than pleasant encounters with management....usually involving their rather rigid rules and a somewhat apathetic customer-service attitude. Its high season in Florida, maybe thats to be expected. My experience getting signed it was great....Chad worked hard to find us a site large enough...he commented that someone had been putting small units on large sites...sounds like some confusion in the office to me. Entrance and egress are worth a comment. Its not a problem, but arriving has to be from the south bound lane...the road into the park is narrow and has overhanging limbs and brush. I mentioned it to Chad...he said, "Yea, we need to work on that". When you leave the campgound and want to go north it requires turning south on the highway and a u-turn back to the north. With our motorhome, I plan to simply continue south for a couple miles...I dont do u-turns. Anyway, I guess Shady Acres is a decent park...many like it...some dont. Just not much that was special about it, but we do like the Fort Myers area. One last word: this park does have convenient shopping nearby, grocery stores, Walmart, hardware, etc.
We decided to do a Florida STAYCATION. We live in the Florida Keys and wanted a same state quick get-away. Shady was recommended to us by a friend and we are glad they did! We wanted to pop to the mainland and relax. Shady provided us a great time! They have a fabulous pool area! My son loved riding his scooter all around the park. Located right down the street from a State Park. We really enjoyed our stay!
We just completed our second season and have already booked for next season. If you like to stay active and enjoy the winter months or any time for that matter this place has it all. They have a golfing group that plays every Monday (Co-ed), Horseshoe team that plays the other parks in the area throughout the week (Co-ed), Shuffleboard group (Co-ed), Texas Holdem every Monday (Co-ed), Bean bag baseball (Co-ed), Cornhole every Sunday and starting next year we will be playing the other parks(Co-ed), Bingo twice a week, Crafts every Monday, Paint and sip group, Knitting group,Two great pools and pool parties every other week with live music and food trucks, Karaoke every other week and a live band on occasion. Many improvements since we first came here and those are continuing today. If you are physically able there are things to do every single day. I have stayed at other more expensive places and I find this to be the one I like the best. I have a power monitor on my rig that informs me of any spikes, dips or power issues and for three months there were not any issues recorded. Our water service was only interrupted briefly once when a contractor broke a water line and it was immediately repaired. We have met many new best friends that we have already made plans with to meet up with this summer and others we cant wait to see again next year. The management (especiallyChad worked very hard to make our stay first class and problem free. 5 Stars in my book
We had made a reservation before we read some of the reviews and were a bit hesitant to come here. We experienced none of the problems these reviewers had experienced. The sites were level and well maintained. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had asked for a site near the dog park and were were assigned a site next to it. The dog park, by the way, was wonderful. The residents at the park were so friendly and we met some great people. We will definitely return. This is a great RV park!
Year-long lease holder. The location is great and the fact that its far enough away from 41 helps with the road noise. Chad the manager has gone out of his way to ensure we have a great stay. The pool is salt water based with limited chlorine. There are many changes underway which is great. Clearly money is being invested to provide a better experience. Many activities to do with some planned independently by the residents. Well worth a look!Trending toward a five star park!
If you are smart, you will keep looking!! This place is the absolute worst!! Look other places for reviews!! They are horrible! We were in this park for eight years full time. Each year was worse than the one before but the other campers were wonderful and we had so many great friends that we continued to put up with the park. The only thing the had going for them was a good manager that tried her best in a bad situation. But they let her go! The owner passed away and left the park to a family member. Unfortunately, his wife took over and down the hill they went!! They raised the prices significantly, charged per pet, removed anyone who had a complaint (mostly legit complaints), water shut off multiple times per week, electric issues all over the park, very uneven sites, little to no maintainence, no call backs in emergency, office closed early so people coming in after 3 or 4 could not go to their site until following day but had to pay full price to camp in the parking lot, no refunds no matter what the issue, and on and on. Out of 300 spots, only a hand full of people are returning next year!! Just dont do it. You will regret it! There were great people there but most have moved on to a better place. I am so glad its over and we found a wonderful park for a great price now and life is good again😁 Best of luck to you all and I hope you do your research before choosing your campground!!
Nice clean park. Newer pool area with 2 pools and Spa. Small restrooms and only 2 showers but not many people use them. Great laundry area. Christine waited to check us in after hours, she was very kind. Many permanent residents, most very friendly seniors. We enjoyed our stay. Would come back.
We have been at Shady Acres for 7 days. It is a very nice park and the people are very friendly. We thought the pool would be done but it is not. We are only staying for 2 weeks this year so we may not get to use the pool. We plan to come back next year.
Beautiful clean friendly. Shady Acres RV Campground will be our go to campground!
We spent from December 2016 to April 2017 at this RV park. We had a great time! The park was very well maintained while we resided here. The staff was very Polite and very Helpful with any concerns that we had! The residents of the park are very Friendly and there is so much to do and enjoy with others if you want to meet new friends! We especially loved the Saturday night at campfire ring that has a band made up of local campers! I loved all the crafts, bingo, all the extra sports-game activities that you can involve yourself to meet others! How fun is this!!! The park is very close to shopping and beaches as well. We have already booked our site for next season and cannot wait to return. : The weather has been great this winter and if you are looking for a place to have fun with fun people give this place a try!
Older, well maintained campground with fairly tight full hook-up sites containing a very nice concrete pad & picnic table. Campground offers on site restaurant, pool, shuffle board, horse shoes and many planned activities. Bath house was very clean and updated. There are many full-time and seasonal residents who have created a family community feeling. We enjoyed our week long stay and would return again. Nothing fancy, just comfortable!
