Indian a la carte dinners & a daily lunch buffet in a serene space accented with a graphic mural.
This WAS me and my husbands favorite place however shortly after April 2022 the good just slowly started getting bad!!!!! One dish at a time. We now will never come back unfortunately tonight was the last time we will spend our money. Idk if you changed cooks or what but you need to get the old cook back. 🤮
They are always consistent with food and service. Excellent!
Gets better each time I come Pretty good for a basic buffet on a Sunday. Tandoori chicken and fish were good. Service and attention to customers was excellent.love how the owners have their kids working too.
Went for lunch buffet on Saturday. Very limited and not much of a choice. More importantly, not very tasty. And too pricey for that buffet.Update: MUST try the butter chicken and anything else on the menu. Just dont order buffet! Fabulous menu options!
Seva is a favorite of ours! It is definitely always busy when we go but we always get a table. We also do take out, just call like 40 minutes before you want to pick up. Dont forget the complementary chai tea!
This is my favorite restaurant on Earth. I come here for every special event and any excuse I can find. Everything is cooked perfectly, the staff is incredibly polite and friendly and its super clean. The kitchen is amazingly flexible and can accommodate most dietary needs, and levels of spice (which seems to be a big concern when I bring friends to try Indian for the first time). The buffet is a great way to try lots of variety and its all served pretty mild. I prefer ordering from the menu so I can increase the spice level, but you cant go wrong here.I have a standing agreement with anyone I talk into going to Seva with me for the first time. If they dont like it, I pay for it and then buy lunch across the street at Chipotle. Ive never had to pay. Check tripadvisor. Seva is consistently in the #1 or #2 spot of their "best restaurants in KC" list, and for good reason.Get in your car and go to Seva, right now. Thank me later.
Seva never disappoints! The food is always amazing and the staff is always friendly. We eat here exclusively everytime we are near Liberty, MO.
Fantastic food and very friendly service.Mango lassi, vindaloo chicken and garlic naan were cooked to perfection 10/10. Must Try!
This restaurant has amazing Indian food. Everytime I have went, I have been shocked by how good the food is. I always get the chicken tikka masala along with the garlic cilantro naan and it never fails to be perfect. Almost everything they offer is halal too! It is worth every cent. The inside looks very nice and the service is great as well. Really recommend!
We stopped in today for the first time for the lunch buffet. I was blown away! Fresh, hot and full of incredible flavor! The employees were very nice! I cannot recommend this place enough!! I cannot wait to go back!
Not the best food or serviceThe waitress was so unprofessional and impatient, when I asked her why you acting up she said cuz I’m busy .. 😏Anyway I ate there yesterday and I been sick with diarrhea and stomach pain all day today..I hate to talk bad on people’s businesses but that’s my experience with seva and not going there again ..
The food is good. Basic flavors. There aren’t many options for the buffet and it is pricey. $20 after tax per person!
We moved to Kansas City about a year ago and this is the restaurant we have frequented the most. It has never disappointed. Ever. The ingredients and flavors are fresh and the people are top-rate friendly. The gluten free choices are extensive (GF roti bread! The chai is always included in your meal; it’s strong with the perfect level of spice & sweetness, IMO. Now we are moving out of the area again and trying to figure out how to kidnap an entire restaurant to take with us!!
One of the best Indian places Ive ever been. Not quite as spicy as i wanted, but the amazing flavor made up for that. I think I found my new favorite beer in Flying Horse.
The food was delicious! Particularly the Chicken Masala! You won’t be disappointed.
The best Indian food in KC in my opinion. On top of that the service and staff is great. Highly recommended.
The food is spectacular and the servers always have a smile and excellent service. We feel as if we are at a friend’s house when we go there.
Delicious. And they were so helpful with my food allergies.Loved the Tikka Chicken Masala, the mango lassi and the chai tea. Cant wait to go back.
Their sauces always have the richest and best flavors. The staff are super helpful and polite. Their Chai is amazing. I have had several menu items and all of them have been great. This is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to!
I remember when Seva first opened, it was some of the best food in Kansas City and it quickly became a regular for my family and I. Sadly I moved to Boston 5 years ago, but I still drop in for dinner or the buffet every time I make it back to KC, they never disappoint. The food is excellent, they are have always been happy to accommodate any reasonable request, and the staff is always so friendly. Seva continues to be one of my favorite places, nearly worth the trip to KC on its own.
My son & I had lunch here. Both our meals were delicious! The service was also great!
Buffet was good but a la carte food was too sweet. I mean I was there to eat Indian food, it should have been spicy
Perfect spot for a tasty buffet lunch on the weekend or takeaway on fast paced weeknight. Havent had a dish I disliked yet and there are so many wonderful GF and vegetarian options as well - they even make GF roti and veggie pakora! If you like dishes with a kick (like we do), they will adjust the spice to order - just ask for hot instead of the mild version of your favorite menu items. The staff are always friendly and all of this makes Seva my go-to northland stop for Indian cuisine.
I cant say enough good things about Seva Cuisine. The food is amazing and cooked to your spice level. The staff is friendly and hard working. Ive eaten there dozens of times and never once had bad food or service.
I really, really love and appreciate Indian cuisine. But this buffet was very disappointing for $18 a person. We must make peace with the death of Indian cuisine lunch buffets in KC’s post-covid world. I know we all miss it, but this will not fill the void unfortunately.
Service was good but this isn’t authentic Indian food. Its very Very bland for us made for only American palette not for one’s that expects spicy/ Indian flavors.Indian food is all about flavorsI felt it very pricey for the food options they have.Buffet is 17.99 +tax per person. Definitely over priced for the food they haveIn conclusion , this place is not for youIf you are looking for authentic Indian or flavorful foodIf you are looking for spicy foodIf you are looking for lot of food options in buffet
I use to enjoy coming here all the time for the lunch buffet but now its only available on the weekends. Selection is minimal but really tasty. My goto Indian restaurant. The service/staff is top notch and friendly. Love coming here.
I have had Indian food in some pretty amazing locations on our planet. I have to say Seva ranks in the top 5 and is in my home town. I want to say it’s number one in the entire Midwest for sure. Amazing flavors, gluten free and vegan options for the ENTIRE menu. Never had a bad meal here, ever. And I order take out or dine in at least once a week. So that’s a lot of meals. Just spectacular all around.
First time ever eating Indian food. Seva has great ratings so decided to give it a try. The staff was amazing. Explained everything, and we tried everything! Got the meal for 3 so we could try a lot of different things. Worth every penny. Came home with a lot of left overs because we ordered so much. Will definitely be back and now we can order single meal knowing what all of it is now!
So fresh and hearty and delicious! I was looking for good vegan food in this area and Seva came through! I got pakoras, daal, and aloo gobi from the buffet and they were all great. I normally am not that into daal (lentilsand find them to be a little plain, but these were really good! They also had fresh salad and watermelon on the buffet. Nourished & happy after leaving here!
The food was amazing! We had the fish pokora and butter chicken. Gluten Free options that actually taste good
This restaurant is wonderful and I’ve loved them since they first opened. We’d have lunch at their buffet all the time, and even after moving we’d drive an hour just to go have lunch there. Unfortunately they’ve had to get rid of their buffet (except for Sundays I believeand it’s so sad that I can’t get little bits of different flavors without spending an outrageous amount. Don’t get me wrong, their food is so good it’s worth what they charge. I just miss the variety that used to be available. I definitely suggest this place to anyone that likes Indian food or likes vegan options while dining out!
There butter chicken is incredible wish there rice was saffron rice other wise this place is perfect
The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly! I love to come here anytime Im close by or just for a fun dinner with friends😊
Absolutely delicious. Honestly best Indian food Ive ever had. We had the family dinner 2 option, and it was great. The Masala was thick, creamy, rich in flavor, and perfectly spiced. The naans were also wonderful, although I preferred the garlic naan to the onion naan. I will say that the fish wasnt my first pick for the second entree in the meal option, but it was fine as well, especially with liberal use of the provided sauces. The dessert was also great and unlike anything Ive tried before; the only downside was that there wasnt more!
So the place has a lunch buffet special from 11-3 everyday and the food is absolutley amazing, Im a truck driver so you get tired of the road food and this my friends has an amazing authentic taste it. Chicken tikka masala with white rice and garlic naan are a must have as well as the tandoori chicken and rice pudding and mango juice to top it off. 5 stars for friendly staff and great tasting food and when Im in town best believe I have to stop here no matter what!
It is a great experience and I was able to try new foods. The staff were amazing and attentive.
Oh my, I got so many brownie points with my wife for bringing her to this place. She fell in love with the food. She keeps asking when we are going back. I must admit I had no hope that I would like it but it was really good. I had the wings and my wife had the fried jalapenos for appetizers. My wings were great. But her jalapenos were to hot for me. I dont remember what we ordered but at least I took pictures of it. Mine was made with too much ginger for me but hers was really good. Both our meals were made with lamb but hers came in a red sauce w will be back and next time I will have them hold the ginger. We will be back.
My wife and I love to come here when we have the time. The prices are not bad and the food is delicious! Everytime we have came in the servers have been super nice and helpful. I recommend checking out the buffet so you can try a little bit of everything.
I had read a really good reviews about this place and decided to give it a try few weeks back. The service is really good and everybody was super helpful. I didnt like the food much though, it was very much Americanized and all the curries were really sweet, so if you like very mild curries, then this is your place but if you are looking for more authentic Indian food then it might disappoint you.
A very delicious and unique Indian food. The portions were amazing and service was incredible and nice. Recommend the buffet and dinner (dinner for 2 to 3had awesome foods and portions. Will surely come back.
Really, really worth a visit! Ive eaten a lot of food, and Ive eaten a lot of Indian food. But this place was SHOCKINGLY good Indian food - my favorite in the whole state, actually. Its one of those places where you can go with a group and not have a word between all of you until the end of the meal because you were all so busy eating. The quality is top shelf, but in a buffet style. The servers are all very nice. The value is insane.
Decided to try something different for lunch. Ive never been interested in Indian food. But today Seva just knocked it out of the park with their lunch buffet. I will stop in again when I get up north. You should do the same. Food is excellent and service was perfect for lunch.
Out of all the Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to, and I’ve been to many, this is the best. The first time I ate here the food brought tears to my eyes because it was so delicious. The buffet is excellent, and the dishes alternate between days so you get to try something new every time. The saag, the squash, and the coconut soup are some of my favorites. The people there are also very friendly. When the tandoori chicken is cooked, they bring it straight to your table before taking it to the buffet, which is a very nice touch.
Best Indian food in town hands down!Tikka masala, chicken curry, tandoori fish, tandoori chicken and wings, rice pudding, chai tea, mango lassi
Decided to try something new, daring, and also close to my friends house. Saw this place on Yelp and already like the reviews and photos from others. This was my first time trying Indian food. I love the food here. Fresh and tasty. The nan omggggg and the chicken tikka masala is so good. Also had the fish tandoori was fresh too! The taste just melt and the aroma wasnt too overwhelming either. The chai tea is good too and also complimentary. To finished our dinner, we had the mango lassi. So thick and tasty. Not too bad for the first time, I will definitely come back and maybe tried their lunch buffet when Im in the area again.
Best Indian buffet in KC! We searched for the prefect Indian restaurant to try upon our visit to Kansas city and I must say this place exceeded expectations. First impression: wow theyre crowded. Had to wait a few seconds for a table. Then on to the buffet. Amazing! Everything was extremely fresh (I, myself saw them come out and add fresh food on three occasions). Each item was seasoned to perfection, and not too spicy. Ugh I just loved it! Ive thought about it many times since we left lol and recommended it to anyone living or visiting the area. We will DEFINITELY be returning to Seva on our next visit to KC! Thank you for a great experience.
Update: love this place. Theyve renovated and added space creating much more seating options. The food is always delicious and the service is great! This is my favorite restaurant.Delicious lunch buffet with quality options!
Outstanding ethnic chow, awesome buffet, Great Service & Good Beer. 🍻Guys were always stopping by to offer hot samples, Bonus!Grab a bag of garlic Nan to go 👍
This place is a dream in Indian cuisine! Prices are a bit mid tier to me but still affordable. The food is simply divine!! My friends and I ordered butter chicken, squash curry, this wonderful mouth watering fish some sort of butter curry too, wonderfully refreshing salads and a nice lamb. Dishes are paired with basmati rice which is refillable upon request. We also got garlic nan which to be honest isnt the best Ive had. Outside of that though everything else we had here was great. The services is also good though could be a slight bit more attentive. You also get a nice light rice pudding at the end of the meal and hot chai is available self serve.
