Seti River Gorge - Tourist attraction in Birganj, Nepal
Its famous river and its a holy river. It is having wonderful river side and beach
Nothing much to see and there is no fixed prize to enter seti river.Villagers can charge as much as they think fits your personality. If you are are non- nepali be careful.
This place is closed but if you walk along, you will find local living on the banks of this place. A small tip will help you go to this place. Do visit.
Impressive deep gorge with milky white mineral tinted water. Not much else to see, main access is currently closed so you need to go through an alley next to (insomeones house and pay them, our guide figured that out.
Whitish milky water flowing under the floor. One can enjoy better view to the near by seti river dam.
The natural mystery of seti river in Pokhara.
The place is not so big. Its not a major place to visit if have bigger adventure in bucket list. Yet having 30min please come and see the limewater in tunnel and see it through big trees... Views are fine
Best river with waterfall to see at Pokhra Nepal.
Very nice place to visit
I really liked to visit this place although is small and one can see just a little bit of the river. There is a bucket that you can use to collect water and feel it. I crossed to the other side and met a nice man who likes to collect currency from different places of the world.
Not at all recommended....there is nothing to see ..it is a joke.... attached the video which they will show.... Thats it..... Dont go
This place is basically a garden and you get to see "shwet ganga" or milk like water. Absolute blissful place but the garden needs a lot of maintenance. They are also charging tourist entry fee but they are absolutely not maintaining it.
A very historic place known the purest water,Gorge has been a site for great attraction for those who are spiritual and maintain their religion. We can find a temple as you walk the bridge little along.
Its a cold water on the bridge. From the midst of the bridge it can be seen a deep river flowing..
I went expecting more of an epic water fall but the view is very limited. I believe the place is of some religious significance as people were dipping their hands and placing on their forehead. There is extremely little to walk around.
Able to see Seti River from a far distance. Other than that you will find milk water flowing through the tunnel. It is said that the water is considered as Ganga Jal and people use this water for Puja purpose. Apart from that there is nothing else to see.
There wasnt much to see except for the white river water flowing, which is basically due to limestone minerals present in the soil. There is also a narrow but deep waterfall surrounded by a lot of greenery. All in all, you can have a quick visit, but if you dont, you are not missing out on anything major.
Fast running narrow stream deep down. The whitish water is brought up to flow before you.
It looks like a rever of milk.
You will just be able to see Seti River a small waterfall from a distance. The main thing to see is milky white water of Seti River. Seti River water is also considered as Ganga Jal. People fill Seti River water in their bottles and use it for auspicious tasks and for pujas. There isnt much to do here. Its a 15-20 minute visit. You can visit this place while coming from Bat Caves/Mahendra caves.
Not as what I expected.. it was like an enclosed area and you see the channel where white river is seen flowing through a tunnel and down below the bridge, is a valley and the river seen is flowing vibrantly..
The view of the gorge itself is okayish, not spectacular. It is narrow and deep but what makes it interesting is the milky white (more like watered down milkcolour of the river.
Its a deep water gorge on Yeti river
This was a disappointing experience to be honest. There just is not a lot to see here. The Gorge itself is worth a look. But other than that there is nothing. They take an entrance fee, but if the view of the gorge is blocked, they dont trim the vegetation. There is nothing that says why the gorge is significant or anything. I do wish they put up a plaque stating the significance of the gorge.
This place located near KI Sinhg bridge. It is a mini park and a suitable place for visiting with date or alone and stay there in peace watching the scenery. Out side of this place includes few chatpate and paanipuri thela where we can get delicious chatpat and paanipuri. British gorkha museum is also a minute far from this place.
This is a really really small place to visit. But you should not miss it. The gorge and the river flowing way below you, the sound of water flowing beside you through the aqueduct, the whitish coloration of the water; it all makes you calm. Try to visit early in the morning to avoid any crowd.
Beautiful and awe inspiring gorge, the river disappears underground in the distance. You can see that from another spot further into town
120NPR IS ticket of this place... Overall good only one cave river point and some of photo clicking point.... Nothing more is here.
This is on the main road. When you go in, you can see the river going below and it looks white.Seems like this is some sort of a irrigation project. The place is not maintained well even though they charge about 100 NPR per visitor. Thats why I am giving only 4 stars.
Amazing experience...Truely it was adventurous to see down the river from the hanging bridge.
This is also situated at pokhra in Nepal. This place is known for its lime stone water other than nothing is special over here.
Gorkha museum visit is Must if you really want to know more about this loyal army and brave army. By visiting this museum and spending 100 is a tribute to all those who sacrificed their lives for India, Nepal and the UK. Gorkhas are known world over for their honesy, loyalty, bravity and dedication. This museum is established by many ex Gorkha rifle soldiers by way donating huge sum of money, artifacts and medals. Pl pay your tribute without fail. Its open between 0800 to 1600 and that too 7 days a week..
A popular place in nepel, a river pass through in a tunnel, river water colour is white, thats why its called seti river
It is one of the best river Gorge in Nepal. The view point is situated just near to the gorkha museum in pokhra. There is a bridge, from that you can see , that the river flows very low. On that bridge there is a canel carring the seti rivers water. The color of the water like milk. You have to see the river by leaning your head from the river Bridge barricade. It is really narrow and deep gorge here.
Its beautiful and amazing to see Seti gorge from here. Seti gorge can see from the side of K.I sing pool. The sound of water gives you more pleasure and peace. This is a free place to visit inside pokhara and I must say Its worth visiting here. Here are not so many things to do but you can see the garden and river gorge, listen the sound of beautiful birds.
Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense. The tongue like a sharp knife… Kills without drawing blood. To abstain from lying is essentially wholesome.
It is a place where you can see...water flowing from a tunnel... Always keep in mind.... Seti River is quite Different from Seti River Gorge....Former is better place to enjoy.
Taken here by our Nepalese group tourist guide. Interesting to visit and worth a look. There is a small garden and river running through with a waterfall (which would probably be spectacular in the monsoon season)There was also a cave that we visited where you can see the water flowing away from the waterfall.Interesting but not spectacular at the time of our visit.
Quiet fascinating to see seti river up close.Recommended.30rs entrance for Nepalese. They could make it bit better if they add more flowers.
Why it is a tourist attraction , cant understand. For hydral power plant the water pass through tunnel .... nothing natural . But a deep canyon or gorge can see from the bridge which are not not observed from outside due to plants.
This rivers water is whitsh like ghol..visiters first see one man made water canal cum bridge in a garden...where water from seti river flows... where you can see the color of water and also touch it...from the bridge you can see deep down the actual seti river which is flow furiously...one may frightened to look down the bridge..
Seti river gorge is another beauty in the list to must-visit places whenever you are in Pokhara, the water here is purely white and the location is so beautiful and scary, click pictures and videos safely.
Nice place to visit...its very dangerous and Beautiful place ...the water is very sacred ...you can touch the water by pulling it up with a bucket...the water is of seti river on of the most sacred and famous river of Nepal ...
The white water flowing into the hydropower plant was interesting, but the gorge itself is so deep and narrow that its almost entirely obscured by the vegetation and depth.
Good place to visit can see series river from the suspension bridge but maintainance is required since they r charging 50bucks for ticket but the view is really good difficult for the elderly to get down watch out for the slippery stairs
OMG that is so beautiful place and what the water comes out from that his eyes what I think the call then its very very cold one could only trees that one and I am sure that what comes from the eyes means snow good background around it love to shoot photos and videos and their nice panoramic views around it and one more thing Gardens are really really cool in Pokhara
It is a narrow valley with steep rocky walls located between mountains. The colour of the water at Seti river Gorge is milky it is probably due to the fact that water passes through the stones high in calcium content. I did not have the opportunity to test this scientifically. Since the water is milky there is a temple and Pujari. So along with a natural expedition you will also get to pray.
A nice tourist place in pokhara where children can understand the meaning of Gorge where water cuts the rocks and flows in between. You can easily hear the roar of water all around at Seti River Gorge.Nothing much to do here but must visit.
Located about half hour away from the tourist area of Pokhara by car. I travelled there on a mountain bike and it took about an hour as most of the journey is uphill. The gorge is quite large and you can cross the gorge using a narrow suspended steel bridge. It appears quite safe. There isnt much to see once you cross over the bridge. I hear these is a temple but you have to hike about an hour to get there.
Situated in Pokhara city. Nice view of gorge of Seti River. The water color is white and it feels so cold. In one point from artificial water canal system, you can use bucket to take some water to drink it even. Worth a visit if have half an hour on hand.
