Outstanding restaurant and almost everything is available in gluten free versions.

Beautifully presented dishes with professional and warm service in a chic and comfortable restaurant . Extensive wine menu and fresh, delicious food.

Would like to make a food review but couldnt eat anything, I went by myself last night and they didnt received me even tho Ive seen tables available, the hostess made a fake turn over to see if theres any space.Anyways it looked like the typical "posh" restaurant and thats it, not even in a michelin restaurant felt this awkward vibe, my advice is to look for places where they only worry about serving good food, what a waste .. for them because I actually had a great dinner, theyre a lot of good places in Palermo keep looking!

I had dinner here last night, and a few hours later I started vomiting. Very bad memory in Sicily.

The raw fishes taste extraordinary. The spaghetti are quite normal….

We where here in Sept 2019 and had a great experience. Sitting outside. Perfect service and the greatest food ever. It was Quality not Quantity of portions. Went back now... Service ok. Food ...not ok, now it was Quantity not Quality of foods...Before foods were well presented, elegant. Today just put on the plates.Can anyone amagine anything worse than overcooked pork file? Served with pistagesauce? Dry and than dry again...No. It is easy to get a good reputation but very hard to keep up to it. This restaurant failed. Pitty.

The food is superb, buonisimo! Clean small restaurant at the heart of Palermo. Affordable price too. The service from the staff is excellent 👌 Must try food, it is lovely presented and great taste.

Wow, what a fantastic restaurant. Their dishes and plates are incredible - beautifully presented and so tasty. Impeccable service, friendly and professional staff. Good selection of good quality wines. We had their fresh fish starter and pasta for as mains and it was a delight. Sadly we were not hungry enough to have a dessert because they looked so good. We will definitely come back next time we are in Palermo.

€€€€ overpriced, the food is average, not as I read in the comments, it was misleading.This is what I ordered, and this is the bill.The dessert is too much sweet, you wont taste nothing but sugar.

Food here was exceptional. Decent customer service from the servers, food came out relatively quick and most importantly, the food from all three courses we had was delicious. Theres also a English menu, so for anyone who dont know how to use the translation function on youre smart phone, youll be fine. A lot of local was dinning there too, so must mean thats it good. Highly recommended.

Cesto Canto is simple and clean, but dont be mistaken, the services are sophisticated and they have taken great care to prepare their meals. We dines there late and they stayed open for us, me and two Italian friends. They said thats one of the good things about them, in addition to how friendly they clearly are.

Excellent food!

Enjoyed a great solo dinner at Sesto Canto. I found it by googling gluten free restaurants but this food would have been good for any one, whether they needed to avoid gluten or not. Great amuse bouche, eggplant flan, sea bass, and a hazelnut chocolate mousse. Enjoyed the wine list. Prices surprisingly reasonable. Great dinner—forgot to take a pic of sea bass, but it was yum!

One of the best places in Palermo where everything on the menu is gluten-free. The quality of ingredients is just so superior to any other restaurant we have been to. It is a family owned restaurant and we even had a chance to talk to one of the main chefs. Their entire philosophy is around recreating traditional and modern dishes with gluten free substitutes. Everything we ordered had an incredible taste and the swordfish was just marvelous. They have also a big selection of wines that they will help you pair best woth the kind of plate you choose. Easy five star.

Very nice and relaxed restaurant, surely no pizzeria or trattoria! You get amuse bouche and prosecco anyway!😁 Food was excellent and worth the money. Try the pasta with squid ink! And the deconstructed cassata for desert, yummy!

Simple menu, but soooooo good! Everything was simply delicious. Well presented, nice and friendly service. Also they have everything gluten free, just amazing!

Great food and service, worth the price point

The food and the service was really good! We got here for our first night and i would recommend it for sure. It looks real classy but the prices are fair.

The food was of the highest quality that I have maybe ever experienced. The service was excellent and the staff very professional and helpful. The jazz theme was for me.

A bit higher price than average Sicilian, but totally worth it. Delicious!

We stayed in Best Western Hotel, 40 meters away and just saw this place when walking by. Lucky us.During our nearly 2 weeks in differant places on Sicily, this dinner we had here was the best.Not only the food was great, so was the service. Polite, attentive waiters serving with a smile.The prices for 2 for a 3 courses dinner with a bottle of very good wine and 2 glasses Marsala for the dessert, came to appr. €120. Worth each cent.Cant recommended enough.

What a surprise! Finest meal of our trip so far. Sea Bream and Ribs of Suckling Pig were both outstanding. Tuna Carpaccio appetizer was supurb. For dessert we had a pistachio flan which was also outstanding. For such high quality food, the prices were quite reasonable. Also the staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

We have had a few really bad experiences in the historical centre of Palermo with overpriced and under delivering restaurants - some with wholly inedible dishes.On our last night in Sicily Sesto Canto put all that right. Beautiful food and wonderful attentive service. What a restaurant should aspire to be.

Lovely atmosphere , food and staff first class ,, Many gluten free options , definitely worth a visit

We were in Sicily for 2 weeks and the meal at Senso Canto was our favourite of the entire trip! I had fish with truffles and my girlfriend had pasta, and they were both sublime. The Ninfa organic white wine was also excellent. Special commendation to these guys in accommodating my girlfriends allergies, the staff were always gracious and the owner of the restaurant really seemed to care about our experience.

Great little cosy restaurant

I was expecting more from the good reviews of this restaurant but I find that the dishes lack taste though beautifully presented. Service was friendly.

We were staying up the street and I just happened to see it listed online. Since were were walking by we thought we should make a reservation, the owner and chef came took our reservation and in talking to my mother discovered we were visiting from Canada but my mother is originally Sicilian. He asked what wed like to eat and promised us something special. He totally delivered and we had an outstanding meal. From starter to dessert it was fabulous!

Average food for the price you pay!Nothing special and pay higher than other restaurants!I ordered octopus salad and fish stew! Both are very salty. Not sure why! They should improve the menu a bit more to worth the price. Even though the service is good.

Food wasnt good for the price you pay. A main dish is usually over 17euro or so. A glass of wine 4euro. There was no problem with the service but wouldnt recommend this restaurant because there are so many cheap and delicious restaurants around it!

Quite an overpriced restaurant. Weve been eating elsewhere under 10 euros a person including a bottle of wine for 3 euros at local restaurants, and we gave it a go for a rather expensive one here. The food here was on the saltier side, and the service was okay. They seemed rather stressed out. The guy waiter would keep bump into my shoulder because he walks fast and the walk-way is narrow.

Dont let the cheap furniture fool you. This is a superb restaurant. If it was in a bigger city, it would become a top chefs restaurant.This restaurant serves very creative and unique dishes. I had a special -- Sea Bass in Vanilla oil - it tasted like heaven. Also the "I burned the mixed fried fish" starter was outstanding. The Ricotta desert was heavenly.

Food is very good, decor quite weird though. Theyve tried to go for minimalist modern but kinda comes off as IKEA meets an office.

I had the best food in Italy and the best tuna of my life here!!The day I went there I was going to order Sicilian prawn but they didnt have it. Luckily they offer me the menu of the day which is the tuna steak and honestly I couldnt be happier that they didnt have the prawn that day because the tuna steak was the best one Ive ever had in my life. It was so fresh and prepared in a special way with varieties of beans on top. Im really sad that I couldnt stop by every week as I dont live in Palermo.
