First time here and well come back. Very tasty food and nice ambiance. Especially liked the Pho Ka soup with chicken, the Long Island pineapple🍍 duck, and the crispy garlic prawns (nicely plated).

The food were delicious, that I came here twice. I love how they presented the food. The ambience was cool, the service was a lil slow but it was OK. Had a good experience in this restaurant.

The leech duck is a magical combination of flavors. The service is warm and attended. The little disappointment is the kinda greasy table, could really work on it.

Great food and great take on Thai cuisine. Id say they are either upscale, modern Thai dishes or some kind of fusion. Either way, great food, and good service. A bit pricey but hey, you pay for what you get. Id rather pay and get good food.

Be warned, this is one of the worst Thai food experiences Ive ever had. The Sriracha chicken is not spicy at all, the chicken was chewy. The melon salad arrived with no dressing, so basically melon and dry lettuce, and the massaman tasted like peanut butter and nothing else. Avoid!

Brought the family here and thought it would be just another Thai restaurant but to my surprise the food had an authentic taste and flavor to it. The service was quick and very friendly. This is a definite must go to place if you’re look for great food, friendly service, and nice atmosphere. Will definitely come again.

Its hard to find perfectly cooked scallops anywhere. They served some to me in a mild, delicious coconut curry for a very reasonable price. Try it! Just bring some shades for the sunny patio.

Great food! I’m vegan and I got the green curry which was really good! I was just in Thailand for 2 months and ate a lot of curry so I was surprisingly impressed with this spot in New Haven. Will be back to try other dishes. However some of the dishes are a bit pricey for Thai food. The servers were very nice but it was very busy so did take a little time to get our check. We enjoyed the cute outdoor seating while we waited and it wasn’t an issue for us.

I loved their Tom yum soup and cilantro garlic fried rice-were both delicious. Ambience is good, staff is friendly and welcoming. It’s not your normal or daily Thai place. Menu is creative and food was delicious:)parking can be a pain when it’s busy. And they are really busy in the weekends

The menu was extensive- some of my favorites like Drunk man noodles,We ordered Pad Thai and the food came out incredibly fast. We were surprised at how good the food was. The portions were good for 2 people maybe four good pieces of chicken but the quality was there. They have solid Thai staples and clearly have a pretty busy takeout business. If I lived in New Haven I’d likely get takeout from here every once in awhile. Drinks are really Awesome!

September and bangkok? Well I can say that I went here in April and I would say that it was more like Christmas time in my tummy!I came here with a friend on my first visit to New Haven and I found most of the experience to be quite pleasant. The restaurant is obviously quite popular so there was a bit of a wait and the Mater d did tease us getting a table once which was tantalizing to say the least during this month of Ramadan but when we were eventually seated I found the interior of the restaurant to be quiet sleek Ill do it with some odd pandemic related design choices such as hanging transparent barriers in between tables which my dining companion feared could pose a hazard if you were to walk into them. This did not bother me but I did find it to be quaint and a bit silly. They were fresh flowers around the restaurant which I found to be a nice touch. I didnt like the light bulbs and some of the light fixtures as they seemed very gauche. None of that really matters at all though. The water was particularly good and had cucumber and lemon in it which added a nice subtle hint of flavor when I was eventually able to break my fast. The next drink I had was a iced tea which I found slightly too sweet but its composition was quite aesthetically pleasing and I found the addition of whipped cream on top to be a unique and welcome a dormant which I have not seen other Thai restaurants do before.I chose one of the specials, the pineapple fried rice with salmon, and it was absolutely delectable. Its presentation was exquisite and quite tropical, as it was served in a carved out pineapple with a small umbrella with the salmon perched on top of it. My counterpart got an eggplant curry of some kind and it came with blue rice which I thought was pretty cool to look at and reminded me of the blue milk featured in many of the Star wars films. All together I found this to be a very enjoyable meal and I was quite happy that I chose to come here to break my fast and enjoy some lovely company.

This is the first time I ever leave a review for a restaurant, since I do not want to ruin people even the experience is not so good. This one is an exception. Simply put, my WORST experience for a restaurant. Long waiting time, serving the wrong food, etc. These are not even the thing I want to complain here.Imagine you are on a flight and are offered a meal, with chicken or beef to be the options. You choose beef and when you get off the plane they said you have to pay extra for choosing beef. How do you feel? This is exactly what happened to us. One of the dishes we ordered was some $16 fried noodles. The waitress took the menu, and asked us chicken or beef when she was about to leave the table. We chose beef, and were charged $25 for that. They do NOT have anything on the menu saying that the beef noodles are $25 or there is an extra $9 charge for choosing beef.I asked them about this when we checked out. One guy who seems to be in charge told me this is the customers responsibility. He blamed me for not checking the menu, and told me to shut up when I questioned him where I can find it on the menu. He treated me as if I was making trouble out of nothing, for $9. Seriously? What are you talking about? This is not about money. This is about how you treat your customers. So my advice is: PAY ATTENTION TO HIDDEN CHARGES, and if it does happen, just remember they will do nothing and ask you to shut up!

I loved this place. Food is without any doubt amazing! And staff are very nice! It also took them inly 15 min ir so to prepare the food. I had a chicken dish from the lunch menu and I was happy with every single spoon. It was sweet n spicy, with a herb taste. Duck in the pineapple is great too. It doesn’t smell at all. I think no order can go wrong here!We sat outside btw. But they also have indoor sitting

Being a Thai food fan, I naturally wanted to try this spot that my fiancée found on Yelp when we were around the New Haven area because of a race.Between my friends and me, we tried their scallop green curry, duck larb, and the chicken and beef variations of their pad krapow (they may have spelled it differently).Atmosphere was great, they have both indoors and outdoors seating, wide menu, delicious food.Highly recommended and would visit again!===Visit 2, one year later in 2022:This time we kept it simple and tried 3 dishes:- Duck krapow- Chicken larb- Mango sticky rice - seasonal, so we weren’t able to try it last timeJust as good as last time.

Tonight was my first time dining at Septembers and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The restaurant is very nice. I sat in the back room with the softer ambience which I prefer so it was a nice surprise. They played good music at a perfect volume. The food was delicious, from the appetizers to the main courses. The drinks were quite interesting and divine..nice way to relax on a Sunday evening. Our waitress provided great service. It really was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend you stop by and visit!

Came here in February of 2022 but it actually did feel like September, on account of the sunny warm weather that day. Meteorological observations aside, this is a very solid option for thai, especially in this area. It fully deserves its near perfect rating, if only on account of the sheer amount of crab meat that they generously apportioned for my serving of fried rice. They do utilize butterfly pea flower coloring in the rice which gives the grains a slightly otherworldly blue but not to worry, it has little to no effect on taste at all in my opinion. Those with crustacean allergies need not apply, but perhaps they could interest you in a plate of chicken pad thai instead (we went with the shrimp option here too, but indulge me for a second..). It was well balanced with just enough sour and umami flavor to recall a street stall in the namesake city. The larb was decently spicy, certainly enough to get the old sweat glands running which is usually a good sign that heat is present. I would say generally that while this place may not be fully authentic from head to toe (we caved and went for the crab rangoons, definitely not something youd find at chatuchak market no matter what month it is), what they do serve is very well executed, supremely generous portions of classic thai comfort food which has enraptured most of America and certainly the east coast. Kap bun kaap!

Lovely interior. Great service and diverse menu. Theres the typical Thai fare and some interesting combinations Ive never seen before. The pad Thai was deemed a little too sweet. The laarb was made to order and was prepared without the roasted rice which was appreciated. Lychee chili martini was loved due to its balance of sweet and slightly spicy. One of the sides of rice was a beautiful purple/blue color.

A solid 4.5 rating. Exceptional cuisine, beautiful presentation, quick service, and delicious food. It was a family night out dinner, party of 5… and with 5 dinners, an appetizer and a cocktail the bill was $110 or $128 with tip. All the staff were masked, tables were set up with plastic see-through partitions and the water was served with lime and cucumber… what’s not to love! Pictures are some of what we ordered. New Haven has a decent restaurant scene and this place is a step or two above the rest. Located on State Street about a mile from the main downtown area. Recommended!

Me and my girlfriend went here for lunch during our visit to New Haven. The reviews encouraged us to try the place out and boy wasn’t it a good decision. The place has a very cozy outdoor seating. The food was just delicious. I am a vegan so Thai food is often my choice while eating out and I’d not tasted a red curry as good as here. No funny fishy smells that I sometimes encounter at other Thai places. We were just delighted with both the food and service. A must try in the town.

We visited September In Bangkok on our way from Boston to NYC with hunger and tiredness. The location is great and their review & food photos are appealing, so we decided to stop by.The decor looks cozy and wide-spaced with plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. However, when we were seated, we felt the cleanliness might need to be improved since both the floor & table were sticky. The staff was friendly but reluctant & unfamiliar with their dishes on menu. For the environment & service, the rating was only 2 stars in our opinions. We had their Pineapple Duck Curry, Larb and Tom Yum Tilapia to share with a group of 2. The food was amazingly delicious and authentic with proper spicy level & portion. Our favorite was the duck curry, which was creamy and appetizing with various ingredients.

At first I was sceptical of this place looked at the menu online and though will the food be really amazing as it looked in the pictures and it was. From the appetizers to the main entree it was just amazing food. The staff was amazing and polite. We had the Larb which is a warm meat salad which ours was chicken with an amazing spice kick to it, we also the had the duck wrap which was on point. Then my newphew order a flank steak which was nice and tender in this broth of umami flavor, I had the fried prawns with an amazing salad beneath it. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for an amazing Thai meal.

September in Bangkok is the best Thai food in New Haven. The tempura green beans were perfectly cooked with a sweet chili sauce that paired perfectly. The duck wraps were packed with flavor and the duck was super tender. The highlight of my meal was the Tom Yum noodle soup. Be sure to order the dish a little spicy for the perfect combination of flavor.

Highly recommended!!! The food is as authentic as Thai food can get outside of Thailand. I mean, the flavours are exciting, the plating is decadent and the ambiance couldn’t be any more perfect for a nice summer day. Each dish could quickly become a favorite. This was our first time here & let me tell you the portions are BIG! We had the pad Thai, grah prau, melon mango salad, larb, & mango sticky rice for dessert. It was WAY too much food for 2 ppl, but super authentic. The tastes of these dishes were pretty much spot on to their counterparts in Thailand when we visited. Recommend!!

Really great restaurant!!!!! Cute inside and the service was quick! A lot of cool, unique dishes!!! I had the chicken satay to start with a cumin peanut sauce! It was delish! My friend had the mussels in a coconut curry broth! I tried it and it was really good! There were only 5 mussels though for an app. I had the eggplant green curry entree and add chicken for $2. Was soooooo good! The rice was lilac colored and tasted so yummy!!! My friend had the steak and shitake panag curry but got chicken instead of steak. It was amazing!!!! Would definitely go back! Early dinner here at 5 on a Saturday, and the place was empty. We ordered the papaya salad - fresh and spicy! They give you romaine leaves to wrap it in to lessen the spiciness, and it was very refreshing! Both of our entrees were good. You may noticed that the rice is tinted blue, and we were told that it was by the butterfly-pea leaf! Never heard of that herb before! Nice decor and friendly service! We are adding this to our bring-friends list!

I always lamented at the fact that New Haven seemed to be devoid of any good Thai restaurants (except The Terrace, which is far), but my worries are over! September in Bangkok is a pretty new restaurant that serves authentic Thai food. Service is flawless and efficient, space is decorated tastefully, but the best part of course is food. Amazing flavors, everything is seasoned well, great ingredients, and lovely presentation. Crab fried rice is a must, and som tham is packed with flavors and refreshing. Looking forward to trying out the whole menu.
