Seoul Garden Temple in Temple
Description
Privilege
Love their food. In my opinion they have the best sushi 🍣 in Central Texas!! Service is great. Everyone is very professional and friendly. Great atmosphere for date or any occasion! If you love great food at a great price, then head to Soul Garden!! Highly recommended!
MoreSeoul Garden is a quaint little place with a very nice and friendly atmosphere. The staff was very nice and attentive. Our waitress, Kira, was amazing and so very sweet! The food is reasonably priced and the portions are very good. We tried the chicken yakisoba and it was delicious. We are definitely coming here again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a restaurant that serves a variety of East Asian food!
MoreWe like it here, we have a long drive to grab good sushi but its worth it when the craving gets bad. We always have the boat and if I dont eat the rice, its enough to take care of both of our sushi appetites. Theres enough sashimi for both of our tastes and the rolls are always YUMMY! The staff is great and always takes really good care if us.
MoreFood was delicious, atmosphere is very nice, staff was great! Will definitely be back!!
MoreI had never had Korean food before, I enjoyed the food. I had some very unpleasant after effects. I was told this was because my system was not used to fermented foods.
MoreFirst off this is my favorite place to get Cali Crunch Rolls. I also am a big huge fan of their Spicy Chicken Bugolgi me and my friends can normally share a dish because it is so much food. The yum yum sauce is addicting and so are the side dishes. I am pretty sure they know my face by now! But I love this place. Sometimes it can get busy but they are on top about cleaning a table as soon as someone leaves.Update 8/2022-Since they got new owners, the food is mediocre. It use to be so busy we would have to wait to get a table, now we can walk right in. The servers are not familiar with the menu. The "yum yum" sauce is so watery and clumpy now and the server even stated everyday she comes in it looks different. The chicken bulgogi is extremely greasy and no flavor. Sometimes chicken is gummy. Sushi has gotten smaller but price went up. We use to go here every Wed for date night but may find an alternative for awhile and try again in a few months.
MoreFirst! The food is amazing! Sushi is on point and the options are plentiful. I have a three star rating due to the waitress, Karina O, and the manager, Christian, who was on duty tonight (08/19/2022).The first soup and salad they offer is complimentary according to this manager and any additional salads or soup you request is charged. Funny, that the last two times my husband and I dined there, we were not charged additionally for any salads we received. Also, Karina should be aware of menu and when describing a menu item for a to go order, put the right order in. When the customer is expecting a certain total on the receipt and it isn’t what was expected, the manager should have enough customer service skills to handle the situation better, rather than twisting the customers words. The manager said that even though I asked for one type of sushi, what the waitress put in is what I got, and the salad should make up the difference. Oh yes… the $1.00 value salad makes up for the $6 difference. How about the waitress put in the $13.00 sushi instead of the $17.95 sushi.Be careful when they ask you if you would like another soup and salad.. 2 salads equal $7.95. Other than that, I would recommend eating here as the atmosphere is inviting, but you will listen to new age pop or ‘80’s ‘90s music at a loud volume.Karina O and the manager failed tonight. I will think about returning and spending $70 to $100 as I have each visit before. Very disappointing….Pic is of the salad that should’ve made up the difference and the rest of the sushi that I had in a bento.
MoreHands down the BEST sushi in Temple. I always find myself here whether it’s to pick up an order to-go or to dine in with friends. I love this place & the staff is so sweet.
MoreMy husband and I ordered takeout from Seoul Garden this evening. It was our first dining experience there and we will definitely return for dine in/take out again. The food was absolutely delicious!
MoreBest sushi in the temple area, in my opinion. Can get enough of the Mt fuji roll and there sweet tea, which I want say has honey in it.
MorePretty dark and loud, the music is pretty annoying. And the food..ehh, well does not taste like actually korean food. The sweet and sour chicken bento box was just basically fried chicken in kikoman soy sauce. Well sorry for the bad review.
MoreGreat atmosphere, amazing food, and incredible servers. Thank you for such great service!
MoreThis was our first time at Seoul Garden and I was not disappointed. The food was excellent and we had great service. We will be going back soon!
More*update 7/14/22, not sure what is going on there right now, it has started to become a hit or miss, todays meal was a complete miss. The soup tasted sour, the kimchi soup which is one of my favorite dishes had almost zero pork in it a very odd favor, my spouse asked for the bibim Bob but was brought the Dol sot, we brought this up to the waitress nothing was done to make the meal correct. All and all I was charged over 100.00 for food that tasted like it was from the frozen section. I can no longer highly recommend this place and will find another place to eat at. As a local guide and rated the top 10% of Google restaurant reviewers, take my word dont waste your time here. After their opening they have moved up to match their counter part location in Copperas Cove. Really love this place.
MoreGreat waiter, super friendly. Food was prepared well. And more than we could eat. It was an enjoyable time.
MoreNot very good and certainly overpriced! Edamame was served hot, to hot overlooking them and too hot to eat on a hot day. Monkey brain completely missed the mark, and the rainbow roll had slivers of fish you couldnt even taste.
MoreMy son and I had lunch there today. Our waiter- Jack T.,was very attentive, courteous and personable. It was my first time to eat at this establishment and the whole experience was pleasant. Thanks Jack!!!
MoreThe food, drink, and service was wonderful. If you like SWEET tea this is the spot.
MoreThis is a nice little place, the food was amazing, great service, its small but doesnt feel that way once you are seated. Prices not too bad. We had the bulgogi, it was delicious!
MoreQuick service and delicious lunch specials.
JAYLIN our server first off was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and carried a welcoming swag vibe. The sushi rolls were delicious and the baked mussels you gotta try.
MoreSeoul Garden is authentic, our favorite restaurant in the area. We drive from Fort Hood at least once/ month. We like the quiet atmosphere. The quality and presentation of food is very nice. My wife is from Tokyo, she loves it.
MoreWe used to come to Seoul Garden all the time. Dine in or pick up food. We have been very disappointed lately when ordering - especially to-go.Sushi rolls are extremely expensive. A 5 piece roll costs 10$ +. We understand inflation but this is extreme. $2 for a piece of sushi is just not justifiable. They also forget items regularly on to go orders. Ordered Bibimbob and they forgot to add the sauce (pretty dry without). They also regularly forget to add Wasabi on Sushi to go orders. Wasabi is a key ingredient on Sushi orders. We found out that they now do not include the previously customary Soup and Salad and the side dishes on the take out orders. They are still included when you dine in... Take out is the same price - so we do not understand why it would not include the same items...Will take a little break from ordering from Seoul Garden in hopes that they take some reviews to heart and change. Just our honest observation as long time customers. (6+ years).
MoreThis review is a comparison of the old restaurant. This was one of our go to restaurants with excellent sushi and hot tasty food. We went in a few months ago and noticed things had changed drastically but did not know why. The food was not anywhere near the previous quality. So we decided to try again once more and still got cold food, bad sushi and everything. We found out the reason why was cause the ownership recently changed. The restaurant before was phenomenal. Now it’s just another cheap poor quality sushi restaurant . Even friends of ours who have gone there and were loyal noticed the changes without even knowing the change in ownership. They and we no longer come here. We hear another sushi restaurant will be opening near by and are hoping they’ll be our new spot. New owners if u read this review please go back to how the previous owners did things cause what Ure doing now is not the Seoul garden temple was known to be. U may get by for now but there are more restaurants opening and will take your customersUPDATE 4/9/2022: we went back to try Seoul again. Appears owners have listened and improved the quality. Presentation was beautiful.. Food was hot and delicious. Wonderful place for sushi In temple. I hope they keep this consistent so we keep coming back like we used too
MoreI love the soup and salad that come out before your meal. Perfect for whetting the appetite. The Galbi Bento is my go to, it is always amazing. I am allergic to avocado & the chef is willing to accommodate me even in a set plate. The service is always great.
MoreIf youve never eaten here prior to the new ownership you will probably like it. But if you know how good the food was youll probably be disappointed. I waited several trips after the ownership change to decide if I should update my review. They had amazing food before and there was no need to change anything. The sauce is different, the rice is not what I would call fried rice, everything tastes different and not in a good way. The customer service was great and like I said if you didnt know how good it was before you will probably enjoy it. Sadly I will be finding a new place. Too many changes.
MoreFirst time visiting Seoul Garden and will be the first of many. Nice little spot close to the house. Atmosphere is inviting and cozy. Server was very friendly and provided excellent service. Ordered a California Roll and Yummy Crunchy Roll. Absolutely delicious. I cant wait to try more variety during future visits.
MoreService was spotty at best. Table sticky. Had to request normal table items like utensils/chopsticks. Could rarely find my server. Sushi was good, but not up to other Sushi restaurant standards.
MoreThis place has become my husbands and my favorite for Japanese and Korean food. We LOVE the Spicy Pork! Bulgogi, sushi, and Dolsot Bibimbap is good, too. For dinner we try to get there before 5:30 PM to beat the crowd.
MoreFirst time here and the food was super delicious 🤤
A mixture of great things and not so great. The prices were a bit high for the actual meal. There was a lot of variety with fresh vegetables. Some portions were small. One server was completely professional and took great care of her customers. However our server and another server were short, non-attentive, and unprofessional. The food was adequate but overpriced.
MoreUnder the new owners, the quality and taste of the food was not good at all. My family frequently ate here, and were disappointed with our last visit. Anytime my brother comes into town, my side of the family would come have dinner here (being Korean, they are rather picky on which Korean restaurants we eat atUpon arriving, we ordered our food, and when we received it, every dish tasted off. Pork dish tasted funny (possibly spoiled), flavoring was all over the place on all the main dishes, the fried rice was not cooked well and was hard. My mother took a couple of bites and didnt eat anything after those two bites. She said to me in Korean that the meat was spoiled. When the waitress came to check on us, I asked her where the owner was, because she usually came and checked on the dining room, and I wanted to speak to her and find out why the food was so bad. It was then we found out they had new owners. I just paid the bill, we left and we havent been back since.
MoreThis place is trash. I ordered curbside and they told me what time to be there and when I showed up on time, they said the order wasnt ready yet. I waited outside for over an hour and when I called back asking how much longer, I was hung up on and now they wont answer the phone. This is a $96 order were talking about here. Definitely pushing to get my money back for an order I never received. Never again will I come here.**Update** Tried to get my money back and was told they couldnt do it because I ordered through their website. Now I have to jump through hoops with some backdoor company to try to get my money back. This is absolutely insane. As a professional streamer for a living, Im now making this my mission to put the word out, not only to my viewers, but through all social media to avoid this place at all cost.
MoreI had not eaten Korean food before, so was pleased to try it out when invited by family. They have a nice mix of Korean and Japanese food. So our crew did a little of both. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the facilities were nice, and it was an enjoyable experience. We will definitely eat there again when in the area!
MoreI like going during lunch, good basic rolls for only 4.99$. Very good fresh flavors. I still get one maybe two rolls from dinner menu (the 911 roll is pretty darn good). Great sushi, nice clean atmosphere. My daughter and I try to come at least twice a month.
MoreMy friend and I went here for lunch today. Great waitresses! I don’t know how to pronounce her name, but she told me to call her Dee. She was friendly and inviting. She let us know what food was really tasty there, explained all the Korean sides that went along with the meal. She kept my diet Coke glass full....which is important to me. The only thing I even ever had to ask for was extra napkins. We were totally taken care of! I have not had friendly service like this in a long time. My friend and I both got the Bento box with the spicy chicken. It was amazing! Generous portions. All the sides were amazing! The restaurant was clean. The waitress even brought us out complementary samples of cheesecake. It was presented beautifully on a plate, wished I would’ve gotten a picture of that.We will be eating here again! Thank you for a wonderful lunch Seoul Garden and staff’
MoreAmazing food, amazing staff and great pricing. We love the sides and we were filled up!
MoreI almost don’t want to post about this little gem because then it will only get more crowded. I love this tucked-away experience. Sushi is made by an expert, and they understand service. Today I had a shrimp boat sample followed by my usual, red wine and Dol Sot. Dol Sot is a hot bowl that allows the rice to caramelize and is healthy, filling, flavorful and satisfying. Please ignore this review and go somewhere else for lunch.
MoreThe steak teriyaki was delicious and the steamed rice was perfect! I will definitely be going back to have this again. This was my first time to try yaki mando and it was pretty tasty also. The ambiance inside the restaurant is nice. This would be a good place to meet a friend to catch or a cute little date spot.
MoreYet again this restaurant does not disappoint. We where treated with a spicy salmon cone roll, whatever you call it.
MoreThis is our favorite Korean Restaurant. The food is always great and the service fantabulous. If you are looking for authentic Korean food and or sushi rolls. This is your place in Bell County. I don’t eat sushi but have spoken to many that do and this is their favorite place too. Stop by and say hello to Junior the sushi chef and Mom the owner. It will not be dissatisfied.
MoreWife and I loved this place they automatically serve miso soup and little side dishes to try and they where AWESOME!! Beer was good too! Wife loved the spicy chicken. Overall great experience and very authentic
MoreI love love LOVE this place! Yes it is smaller and the wait on a Friday or Saturday night can be long but I think that should be expected anywhere you go. The fish is nice and fresh. Once youre inside everything comes out fast and the service is good.
MoreGreat customer service and quality of food. Nice cozy place. I think the sushi is priced a little on the higher side but overall it was good. I had the rainbow and alaska rolls and they were good.
MoreLove the authentic dishes of this Japanese-Korean restaurant. The owners are so kind and attentive. It’s nice to be able to dine in an eat authentic Korean dishes. The spicy chicken is a favorite of my friends and family. I also enjoy their sashimi salad. It’s a big portion, so it may be best to have someone to share it with.
MoreWhat really made my experience unique wasnt the amazing atmosphere, the kind wait staff or the epic menu design, but the awesomely Hilarious Su Chef! I came to this restaurant by myself so I sat at the bar. Leaving the tables for people with larger parties. Im really glad I did. He had me cracking up all night, making me feel as if I was on a date with a humorous guy. At one point he had the entire restaurant laughing. The amazing food was just the icing on the cake. I order the Mufasa Roll because, lets face it, the Live action Lion King movie is legit and I still had Lion King Feelz! It was like seafood heaven!!
MoreIt’s very cozy and the food is super yummy! I’m not sure if it has any relation to the previous Seoul Garden as the flavors are different but the food was nevertheless delicious! I got their bulgolgi banto box for lunch and boy was that a lot of food. I will definitely be coming here again with the rest of the family!
MoreI had heard great things about this restaurant, so when they opened one closer to me I knew I had to try it. The dining room was small but I never felt cramped. I ordered the bento because I wanted to try many things. I was pleasantly surprised when they brought out the appetizer we never ordered but everyone had. Those were tasty but different. They also gave us miso soup and salad with a soy ginger dressing that I ate quickly. The bento was also great. I can’t wait to go again.
MoreGreat place! The rolls were very substantial and the service was excellent. We were greeted immediately on entering and chose a seat. Our drink order was taken quickly and service all throughout was prompt. The staff was friendly and even the owner Kyong came to say hello and asked for feedback and to welcome us as first timers. They saw I was drinking a lot of soda and brought out a pitcher to make sure we didn’t run out.The food was fresh and the cowboy roll and ahi tower were our favs. They were pretty too.We will be back!
MoreJunior took care of me and my guests two different times while I was in town. The Dol Sot he recommended was really special especially in a hot fired clay bowl. Lots of homemade options, and they have hibachi as well as Korean BBQ at the table if you like. Loved chatting with the staff here everyone is friendly and there is such a good family-owned vibe going on. I can tell that each visit is an experience and I only wish that they would come open in the DFW area. Thanks!
