Sizable park with classic rides like a ferris wheel, plus a zoo, playground & grassy seating areas.
Perfect for children, the museum was awesome with a lot of things to do. The zoo is another plus and the rides are so amazing. I recommended it to the family who has kids. You will need all day to explore this place.
Great place if you have kids with you or you’re an elderly looking to walk in parks. Probably can cover the entire ground in 1-2 hours.
Obviously children-friendly, lots of activities and things to wear them down!
Big place with sufficient facilities to keep the kids entertained. The zoo facilities are quite small. The funfair facilities are popular although buying tickets at the self help kiosk can be challenging if you do not read or understand Korean.
There is no entrance fee. There are many areas to the park, such as a zoo, rides, green spaces, and playgrounds. This is a must go if you have an extra day to spend. It is a great experience for children and adults alike.
A cheaper alternative to Lotte World if you have kids between 4 to 12. Come after lunch to avoid the queues and get the free pass for unlimited rides.
This place is a hidden gem and not many tourists visit this park. Very nice, clean and spacious park with lots to see like gardens, playground & mini-zoo. Kids would definitely love this place. The mini-zoo is a little sad as its under-maintained and some animals look sad in their enclosures.Plus point: Nice, clean and spacious park. Free entry except for the amusement park section. Not crowded!Negative: Somewhat under-maintained. Has the potential to be much better
Really beautiful and my 11 month old loved the sculptures. So peaceful and contains the zoo and the childrens museum (affordable! 4000 won entrywhich has a great water play section where a bunch of children and babies had an amazing time!
This park is really old... its place that takes me to the past!! They got few rides that you can enjoy with your kids. Theres also a zoo, a bit small but quite good to visit since its located inside Seoul.Recommended place when visiting nearby!!
Great open space in the middle of the city. Playground, water area, and nature trails were fantastic. Food and drink options are a bit limited, but there are enough shopping areas nearby that this isnt an issue. Great for a family day in the city.
It is a good place to bring you children. Lots of areas to explore.
As the name says truly a grand park for children. It has got water fountains, amusement park, zoo, museum, futsal and many more things for children. It has got wonderful passage with beutiful Cherry blossom on sideways. It is so big that you can come here for morning or evening walk, exercise and meditation. I strongly insist all to visit in spring so that you can enjoy exquisitely beautiful scenery of cherry blossom and on winter also its so beautiful.Definitely a place to visit in Seoul.
Entrance is free. This is a large park with many things to do children. It has a small but very fun (one nice fast roller coaster and several bumper cars and a bunch of other smaller rides for childrenamusement park (closes at 6 pm), a smaller zoo, a childrens museum (closes at 6 pm and Mondays), and a whole bunch of winding paths you can walk around to enjoy on a cooler walkable day. At 8 pm or so theres a water show at the large center fountain. there are even little small calisthenics bars around for work outs. I was able to do some workout!Overall a great fun place to spend a whole day for families with kids. Caution, it is outside though, so plan accordingly for hot days. Highly recommend for all families to visit.
It was an unplanned trip, but its been a place worth going, there are lot of animal, Botanical garden, water animals and so many others. There is a guid who can tell you if you hire one. Theres no littering around, clean and neat..
Went on spring season. Weather was still chill, but still lot of people will be walking, eating or having a picnic in the grass of the park... If you walk enough you may find a Zoo (free entrywhich I didnt like much cuz I can see the trauma that the animals have by being in a small place... The park good, the zoo not so much~
This is a nice place to go with kids. There is a lot of space to move around in, part is park with lots of outdoor playing facilities and the other part is a zoo with all kinds of animals. The space the animals have to move around in is small compared to the space of the park itself and the cafeteria we went to is average but another option would be to bring your own food and have a picknick. There is a lot of space for having a great picknick!
A very big and nice place for the whole family. Not many people speak English there but most of the signs and posters have an English translation with it.
The most beautiful park in Seoul, specially in spring and fall.
🎇🎆🎆✨🎈It is highly recommend 🌻🌼🌳Grand Childrens Park 어린이대공원 🎉😎🌷It is one of the biggest parks can we enjoy in. It is located in the front of Sejon University 광진구 능동로.It is very big and many activities could be done there.Fresh air you can get🥰🤩🐛Kids can watch and see closely the animal. There is a good Zoo including tiger🐯, elephant🐘, lion🦁,🐐🐿🦔🐇🐰🐼🦘🐍🦎🐢🌻🌼🌳🌲 ... many beautiful animals 😍😘
Nice park to stroll and enjoy with the whole family. Gave it 3 stars because the zoo is not a great space for the animals, they look emmanciated and letargic. Otherwise is a great place for the families to visit.
This is one of the best parks for children in the Seoul. Admission is free here. This place has very good accessibility. The main gate is near childrens park subway stations (line number 7). The back gate is close to the Achasan subway station (line number 5).There is a good zoo, an old amusement park and a small botanical garden. Being quiet is the charm. It would take 2 hours to look around all of the park. This place helps me relieve stress and collect my thoughts. I like to get here.
Five Stars for making me young again! A childrens amusement park close to Achansan station. Adult tickets available for anyone who wants to take 1-3 rides only. Took the roller coaster, bumper car, and Vikings ship. Happiest adult in the park 😁
A really beautiful place to visit and to take a long walk enjoying nature and landscape.
This park great to children and young student. The big foundation is very cool.
We had a great time at the park... reliving amd unleashing the kid in us..
Love this park to go anytime, this park is one of the oldest public park in Seoul. It is really difficult to see the big and large park like this park. Most parks in Seoul are small and has no park lot. But here is zoo and good walking way between trees.Easy to go there by subway or bus, even they has large parking lot. Every weekend many people are visiting with family or friends to enjoy green life in city.
The Childrens Park, one of the oldest urban parks in Seoul, embraces a strange mixture of serenity, old-schooled nationalism, and inscrutable hybridity of design and aesthetics. Despite all that, its hard to deny the fact that the park offers a much-needed space for the city-dwellers nearby.
Really a good size national park especially designed for children but kids at heart will definitely also enjoy!❤ There is a zoo and amusement inside the park. It is also one of the best known park you can enjoy Spring Cherry blossom!!!🥰
Wonderland for kids. It is good that there is no entrance fee and you can enjoy the zoo and other facilities. If your kids wants to ride anything in theme park, you gotta pay a bit though.
I visited here today, 15th April 2021 and as you can see from the photos, there are many double cherry blossoms trees (겹벚꽃). So 😍pretty. A lot of azaleas as well. U d better visit here at least until this weekend.
This place is the best during spring. With all the cherry blossoms to enjoy. The reason the call it as Children grand park is because it also accommodate an amusement park and mini zoo that could enjoy especially for kids.
Spring is cherry blossom season!Accessible by subway line 7 and line 5.Perfect place to take in nature for all ages.My favorite park in Seoul.
Its a ver6 good place to visit with your kids and family. Free activities like Zoo and playground are attractive. Kids scince park is very amazing
Try to visit this park with history but also clean. Not many animals but I can see lions, elephants, tigers and ect.. Whole park is free.
It is such a great spot, tourist rarely come here, they have free zoo as well, most visitors are moms with their children, they have various kinds of animals from reptiles to sea animals. The view is also so pretty when it’s autumn
I couldnt believe this place was free!!! So many things to see including a zoo
What a convenient and close zoo which has most of animals and fun events! Me and our little son enjoyed and love them all!
There is a zoo inside the park, extremely big and nice! Must seen for family at Seoul.. could spend a whole day here..
The Grand Park is free to enter. There are amusement park, zoo, and plaza where you can enjoy. Entrance is free in the zoo, and the park, except the rides in amusement park. It has beautiful lights at night It also closes at 10pm. It’s great to walk and jog inside because it is really a big park. This place is full of fun and amusement. I highly recommend it.
My visit to "Childrens Grand Park" in May 2014 was a very bad moment. This free zoo had a lots of animals trapped in very small places, permanently surrounded by a noisy crowd of visitors. The weather was very hot then, and the vast majority of the animals were obviously suffering from a deep boredom, making circles in concrete enclosures, sometimes with no vegetation at all. In this zoo I saw bears with no place to hide from the sun and just a metal wheel to play with, monkeys on artificial rocks, looking in the vague, big cats and sea lions stunned by the heat... They even had a polar bear, looking so miserable on his little platform of concrete, facing a small pond with a strong smell of chlore... In this park they also had the most depressed elephants Ive seen, in a ridiculously small enclosure for such big animals... I can still recall the anguished look in their eyes, as they were staring at the crowd around them... All the animals in general seemed to be sad in this place, it was heartbreaking. Unfortunately, Ive seen on Tripadvisor and in a lots of recent Google comments that their poor living conditions dont seem to have changed a lot since my visit in 2014...Its been five years now but Im still thinking of them, hoping that one day they could be offered a better life...PS : my photos are from May 2014.
Great natural reserved and suitable for family picnic or sightseeing. The Zoo is nice but not recommended cause of the smell.
Good place to go and spent quality time with your family. There is also a fancy zoo inside this park that you can enter for free. Nice place to jog around!
Great place for families with kids. Free entrance and many animals in the mini zoo
Good to take a walk and see some animals in the zoo for free. There are lots of cherry blossoms in the spring. There are not only the zoo but also the amusement park which is charged for.Able to bring a mat and lunch. But, not able to enter with a dog.Had a great day!
Visited the zoo with a class of children. It was good for that purpose. However, it was clear that the animal enclosures were way too small for nearly all of the animals (especially the large mammals and seals). The animals seemed well cared for, but there simply is not enough space for them. If you care for animals, you may not enjoy this zoo.
Very good place for running, sand play. Kids in here are so open-minded to find friends. Only 300m far from Sangsang nara which is the best indoor kid experience and playing place.
Its a huge park in the city. You can see a lot of plants and animals there for free. But if you want to see the animal show, check the time schedule and price. The facilities are a bit old, but not that bad. Young children will enjoy the time there, I bet.
The area is really big.Spent one whole afternoon in the childrens museum. Entrance fee is considerably cheap as compared to the size of the museums play area and the activities available. Do not have sufficient time to visit other areas.Came again and brought our kids to the zoo section. The zoo section is free. The area is quite big as there are several sections of animals. If you need a stroller or a cart, they are available for rent for just a small fee. The rental is a one time fee, NOT calculated on hourly basis.Definitely need to come again. A lot of activities available at the park.
The park is quite big and has a zoo in it. Everything is free to enter. There are many restaurants and booths selling food and toys. Gave 4/5 stars because the animals cages didnt look too good for animals to stay there. Most of the animals looked depressed bored.
The area is huge and some parts are perfect for picnic with loved ones and family. It is nice to visit here during Spring season because its full of Cherry Blossom inside and outside the area. Many attractions like garden, seabirds and other animals. They also have the big fountain near the entrance. We spent few hours here.
