Showed up with a pre-paid booking during peak season only to be told they hadn’t received it. Furthermore they were completely unhelpful, frazzled and unprofessional. They kicked us to the curb without any help or explanation for what happened with our booking. 36 hours later and they’ve yet to explain themselves. Entirely unprofessional for such an expensive resort.

I’ve never stayed there. It looks wonderful but the new LED lights they’ve put up are ruining the beach front and view for the rest of the lodges on the beach. I can’t even see any of the stars at night because of all the light pollution.

Went there for the Qaud biking experience around Barra! A MUST DO activity!Great guides giving us the great treat of the local area and we were treated to some coconuts and Cacana with cassava.The bar of the area gives an amazing view to the ocean.

Best place I have ever stayed in Inhambane. After several bad experiences at Tofo Beach, this resort at Barra Beache is another level. Fantastic accommodation right in front of the beach. The staff is very friendly, especially Jaime, that guy is from another planet. 5 star accommodation

Went for lunch and am already researching on a stay there. The tranquility and relaxation this place transmits is great. They were serving buffet and the staff was extremely attentive with the guests. Dishes were exquisite and refreshing. Be sure to make a reservation before you go.

Very friendly and kind service. The activities are alright but there isnt many but when I went it was kind of new. They have something special on the last day and their restaurant is delicious. I think the breakfast is a buffet but you can still order things.

Sentidos is a beautiful resort worth visiting.It is tucked away just far enough that your can enjoy your evenings listening to the blissful sounds nature, but also close enough that you can easily obtain anything you need without much effort.The staff there are wonderful. All the staff, no matter where you were in the resort always greeted you with a big smile, and were eager to assist in any way possible, or even just to have a chat.The rooms are divine, and the food at the restaurant is so good youll find it hard to want to make the effort to go out and try something new.An outstanding place to stay that I would most definitely stay at again next time I am in town.

We booked a 7 night stay in one of the villas. We booked this trip last minute, 2 days before the departure so didn’t do much research. We were surprised how this retreat exceeded all our expectations in terms of facilities (villa with a direct access to the beach, beach, gym, garden), excellent chef and restaurant staff and service rated easily 5* European standards, delicious food. The place gives a feeling of a community; all local staff working in the retreat live in nearby village, they really care and are proud of what they propose to people visiting this part of Africa.The white sand beach is beautiful, few km long with some good restaurants, bars to the west of the retreat (walking distancein case you come for long and are looking for some diversity in the cuisine. To the east, you can find one of the most famous surf beach Tofo and a small village, also worth visiting. The staff can drive you there so you can spend some time on your own (excellent diving centre - ask activities manager to organise an ocean safari for you where we could swim with dolphins and whales). Activities manager can also organise other interesting activities for you.The management is also top, we have been treated as friends rather than guests, never really got that feeling even when staying with other luxurious hotels.The journey to reach the place may seem a bit long for European tourists, but I rather have a longer journey and spend my holiday in a unspoilt spot than taking an easy one flight and land on a crowded beach. What we could understand there are periods like second part of Dec and first week of Jan and July- August when the retreat have high season. Book for these months if you like more people around you when on holiday. We went in low season (May/June, at least 25C-30C degrees for 6h/dayand were on the beach by ourselves, with few tourists met along the coast during the beach walks we did. Best to call the reception and ask for an advice on when best to come depending on how you like to spend holidays (less or more crowd).Food in the restaurant is excellent, delicious breakfast, lunch menu with snacks or refreshing seafood dishes, good cocktails, a romantic dinner can also be organised as they did for us with candles everywhere. Seafood is often a catch of the day so very fresh.Mozambique is an excellent destination (which we didn’t really hear much about beforebut the people,landscape and nature is just stunning. good to read some history of the country, which helps to understand the local population. We met lots of European who went for holiday and never returned back to Europe and they love it. Go there before it gets crowded.Thank you to all Sentidos staff for making our holiday unforgettable and we will be back one day. Obrigado.

Amazing place for have a fun and relaxing time, very comfortable and all staff take very good care of the details so that you can be as in heaven.

Beautiful beyond words

The location is very nice and the hotel is beautiful. But the big let down is the house keeping!The housekeeping is really a problem.For that price you would expect a much better service and bathroom amenities offered. For example there was no earbuds no facial tissues and after the housekeeping services cleaned the room, I still had  to ask for soap refill, coffee, fresh beach towels and even toilet paper.I think this is a real big problem if you pay this amount of money for hotel stay!These things need to be at least up to standard.In the restaurant they also have staff that are in experienced and dont speak English, which is frustrating.Until they sort their housekeeping out and all staff can speak English, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

What an amazing place to stay. Outstanding staff, great villas, and good attention to detail. One day during breakfast, my husband was sad to learn that his favorite (pasteis de natahad run out. Within a couple of hours, the chef delivered freshly made pasteis to our villa. Everything about Sentidos is perfect!

Love, excellence and luxury. Sentidos will stay in my mind for as long as I live. Outstanding staff from reception to restaurant with amazing chefs trained abroad and mixing western and local recipes. Of course the managers who are... adorable human beings ❤️. Carolina is one of the best person you could meet in your life ❤️.Oh, and sorry, the obvious 😂: the hotel! Outstanding villas and location, flawless design. A third of the price of other hotels in the area with much superior quality, design and sense of hospitality. So sad to leave. So happy Sentidos exists. So fulfilled to have spent 12 days with you ❤️

Our time at sentidos was perfect. The staff is well trained, the restaurant is outstanding and the owners are very professional. We stayed at two different rooms and both were very clean, modern and very comfortable. All in all a perfect accomodation.

Well! I have not stayed there yet, but the photos speak for themselves... a wonderful Resort project indeed!Tastefully decorated; overlooking a beach, and Madagascar in the distance...I believe the food is excellent, for having seen photos of some of the dishes...Highly recommanded destination for any traveller.
