El lugar es un espectacular afloramiento de roca graníticas.Encontramos allí, además de una fuente de agua potable, pitones rocosos , Thor ( amontonamiento de rocas), dorsos de ballena , etc .Un muy interesante punto de interés geológico.Y un lugar de bella naturaleza.Además un importante escultor local ha realizado un relieve en una de las rocas graníticas de una imagen religiosa.La gente la visita y abandona allí materiales diversos en forma de ofrendas

Beautiful....no other words.

Definitely my favourite place in the Serra da Estrela, its like a little Oasis high in the mountains. It has everything, climbing to catch a beautiful view, a little stream with frogs, countless pretty mountain lizards and many different butterflies. A great place.

Impresionante sitio para realizar el tallaje en la piedra, es espectacular y muy bonito hace que la subida hasta Torre sea más ameno, después de tantas curvas. Se puede para en la misma carretera, tienen una zona para estacionar los vehículos. El acceso andando es un poco irregular y se puede sufrir una caída. Estaría bien un pequeño arreglo. Por lo demás parada obligatoria

I feel in this place like in other planet. A lot to explore. Spectacular mountains and place inside out. Very cold but we really enjoy. Road rare mint. Shame We didn’t have time for climb. See us on social media and Strava, Wikiloc and All Trails ;-)

Monumento tallado en una roca, con siete metros de altura, situado en buey, 1850 Covão metros sobre el nivel del mar. La escultura fue diseñada por António Duarte y representa la buena señora estrella, patrona de los pastores. Se inauguró en 1946. Las celebraciones tienen lugar el segundo domingo de agosto. Muy recomendable verla tanto con nieve como sin ella.

Very beautiful. It has a stop on the road so you can appreciate this sculpture and right on the other side of the road theres a fountain.

A really beautiful and peaceful site. As usual with many visitor attractions, other than a small interpretation board, no signage for the site. However, if you are in the area, it is definitely a must see site.

It is a beautiful high relief sculpture embedded into granite rock, near the top of the mountain. The sculpture adds beauty to the mountain whose surroundings presents the visitors with the most breathtaking landscapes wherever we look. While beautiful all year, it is at the early autumn the mountain shines as falling rain cover the mountain and the green of the new vegetation brilliantly contrasts with the gray and black colors of the inumerous granite rock formations.

Out of the blue

Way more spectacular than the top of the Torre itself. :We hiked a bit beyond the little Chapel, through the glacier formed landscape. Its beautiful there, we gazed at the giant rocks for almost an hour.
