Sendok Bar & Restaurant in Kuta

A nice place with an entertaining drag show. Aimed at the straight tourists, so not really a queer bar, but still lots of fun!

they are just opening after being closed for the entire pandemic hence the menu is limited as of April 2022. that said the steak and Nasi goreng were both pretty good. good location on the corner to watch the nightlife bustle by. extra star for the late 90s/early 2000s rap soundtrack being played all night. worth a shot and things will probably improve as they expand the menu.

Great place, best food I ate in Bali and the show is great!

I arrived at the hotel quite late in the night from the airport. As the hotel kitchen had closed for the night, I decided to go for a stroll outside the hotel in search of a restaurant that was still open. Passed a few cafes/restaurants along Jl.Werkudara and then came across this place. Being on the side of the road and with an open frontage, its quite easy to guage the mood of the place. There were quite a lot of people inside and the the music was lively. There are waiting staff at the entrance to the restaurant trying to get you to go in and once inside I was shown to a table. The live show was quite impressive and they had a lot of the customers actively participating in the singing and dancing. Families occupying the tables seemed to be enjoying the place. I asked for the Beef Rendang to be prepared with some extra🌶🌶🌶 but when it was served, it was quite disappointing. Wasnt up to the mark and neither was it spicy. The beer however was cold. The waiting staff was friendly and the service was reasonably quick. During the weeks trip that was my only visit to this restaurant.⭐⭐⭐

Best entertainment best show in town

Great food and incredible service. A nice touch was being greeted by a member of the staff in two South African languages. The entertainment was met with mixed reactions from diners.

Good fun night . However food ordinary. Really pushed to order special as dont think had too many other options.

Good food and entertainment, Ive been there a few times now and never really been disappointed of the last 3 years

We eat here every time we visit the area because the food is so good and the service and prices elevate it to a 5 without hesitation.

Very loud venue suitable for larger groups, the drag show seems to be quite entertaining.Bar service is on the slow side, drinks are a little pricey, and on 2 occasions I had to ask the bar staff for my change, they had just wandered off with it.

I organized a 70th birthday party here & the staff went out of their way to help put streamers & balloons up. Good food too. We had a ball with the drag show as they interact really well with the customers

This is by far the worst restaurant we visited so far in Bali. We have to wait a very long time before we get our food. After that the music was turned on so loud that we couldnt hear each other. The cheeseburger was very dry and the cheese was disgusting! Never want to eat here anymore!

The Balinese Rasjtafel was absolutely divine, service quick and asking if everything was good through the meal.

Best night in Bali. Entertainment was the best I had seen in a long time.

Wonderful place. Food fresh and service quick. Now has AFL streaming on TVs and big screen projector. When staying at the Jayakarta, no need to wander looking for a sports bar anymore.

Bad case of food poisoning after having breaky there. Their chicken wasnt cooked. Me and my partner are now suffering and our holiday only just started!! Be warned!

As a regular in Bali it is with disappointment that I write this review because most places I have been serve delicious food. Tonight at Sendok Emas I had the worst meal I have had in Bali. I chose the nasi because its one of my favorites and its always been great. It was very plain with little flavor and the chicken satays were pink. I didnt want to fuss but when they asked are your meals good I replied with no the chicken is pink under cooked. So they offered to replace it and I agreed. Well... the next round still had blood in it.My daughter is a lover of chicken satay and she too could not eat it. Again pink and the rice was sticky and cold.Very disappointing and we pretty much left hungry.We thought this restaurant would be great because there was loads of people there, music and drag. But we were wrong and wont return 🤔🤔

In fairness the staff are awesome and the place has a good vibe, apparently they put on great shows and have delicious meals BUT..I stopped in for two vodkas and soda and they hit me for $28Aus...I felt rather extorted...come on Sendok Emas you have a great thing going there, be fair with the grog prices, get more people in and make it something special...

Ladyboy show every night with free entry. Drinks are not cheap but at the higher end of the scale. Food pretty average. Well worth a visit for the show

It was close to my hotel and I was leaving the next day, so I just went here out of convenience.I sat at the bar for a meal and a beer.Ended up with a stew of some sort. It was alright.Service was a little slow. Lots of people though, so I get it.

Fantastic entertainment and tasty food. £ a bit high but you pay for what is happening on the stage as well. Had really good fun over there the other night. If you are not into dag, than dont bother going ;apart from that its for everyone. All ages and genders are welcome!

Nice personal. Nice drinks. But cant say that food was good. My BF was ordered chicken and he like it. I was ordered fish and chips and fish wasnt fresh so I had just a one piece and then feel not fresh smell of fish. Im pregnant and did not want to risk myself and the child, so we just paid and left

Its a nice restaurant for tourist, not so crowded, but in dinner time is alway full, the price is reasonable especially for tourists.

A very lively place.Friendly staff and performers. Since I am a vegetarian i just had a pizza and dessert. And it was amazing. We came back for a second time for the love of this place. Its easily noticeable from the street. A Defenite recommend with your friends 😊

Im from California (bay area to be exact). Tried this place at the end of my adventure in Kuta, but I wish i came sooner. Ordered the indo noodles and braised beef (also an indo dish). Absolutely amazing. Really delicious food here, do not pass up if you are in the area!!

Ordered fresh juices. However, it was from concentrated and canned juice.Ordered tomyumgoong. It wasnt possible to taste it. Super salty. Special of the day was ok.Staffs were very friendly and efficient.
