Parque de la Paloma, s/n, 29630 Benalmádena, Málaga, Spain, Marbella
Shows by marine animals, birds & snakes, plus guided tours & feeding sessions in the penguinarium.
Only the dolphin show is worth. The area is small. You can go round half an hour.
It is a very small park. For 24€ is very expensive 1 so for for the birds show and 1 star fort the dolphin show. The penguins are in a very small place like a jail and the other facilities are very average. For 10€ maybe the prove wil be fair.
Visit this place is wasting time and money. The place is very small and price almost 40€ (1 adult & 1 child).I expected some show with dolphins, yes show is 2x a day during working days. You can walk and see everything in 1 hour and most of the time you will only sit and look at dolphins.I was in Loro Park at Tenerife and show with orcas, dolphins, parrots were frequently and not 2x a day.
Beautiful place amazing selection of animals
Amazing experience! dolphin and parrot show is amazing. Price is absolutely bargain.Best to book online and combine with Teleferico(cable cartickets can be used in various days. 2 adults and child ,for Marina and Cable car tickets cost 90€ .There is nothing similar in UK gor same price. Recommended!
Lovely little park with great exhibitions and regular talks in the different zones of the park.
Absolutely amazing experience, would return. Loads to look at and great for all ages.
The park is really in a bad state, it’s not very well maintained even a year after our last visit. Many of the exhibits are very dirty. It’s just very disappointing for such a place that attracts so many tourists
Definetely not as grand as the pictures show. The dolphin show is subprime and so is the parrot show. The play ground is small and primitive with a steap quick hill. The penguins are behind a glass in a separate cold enclosure and really needs a paint job. The pink flamingos are groupped by the small poddle of water and far away from the barrier. There is an option of getting into the water with dolphins. They have wet suits but the dolphins cannot be touched. They say that "today they are running a promotion" and adults pay same price as the kids @ €45 each. It was hard to justify spending 90 considering how everything else was run.
Great place, but it could be a bit mor cheaper. It has the same price as Madrid but less organized and smaller. The show are great, the space for dolphins are great, liked the birds show and the penguins.
Beautiful place my children loved it especially the dolphin show
Me and my son had a wonderfull day here. We did both the dolphin and the sea lion experience with Monica as our guide. We loved it.
Went 29.08.Very poor. Smells pee. Lack of cleaning the common areas. The delfin show was totally boring. ( Last year was great)No recommended. I wont come back anymore
Great place for kids to explore the sea life, also there are other animals..
I like this place. My only complain is that the quality of the shows is not consistent. I went to see the dolphins one day and the show was very poor. I went again a month later and it was amazing. Dont go by car on Wednesdays as there is a local market and its impossible to find parking space
Very small,Small pools for dolphins, even smaller for sea lions. Tiny penguin house, no quality of life for animals at all
Fantastic day here for all the family, lots to see, will take few hrs to walk around, shaded areas which help a lot, Dolphin show was fabulous, lots of stands around for cold drinks. Very enjoyable day
The park is a nice attraction to visit with children, but regarding the scope the price is too high.We bought additionally (paid extradolphin encounter and I imagined this would be very private. Instead they gathered around 16 people (!and assembled into line. Mainly talking in Spanish. Dolphins couldn’t be touched, because of… Covid risk.Such information should be placed at tickets purchase, including the number of persons within one encounter. Had I known it all, I would not have purchased it.
If I could give this place zero stars I would. We had an awful experience. We paid over 500 euro to do all the animal encounters and my children were disappointed and crying. The dolphin encounter was an absolute disgrace. Young children crying having earrings removed. The staff were giving out to the visitors for being upset that their children were upset. We literally stood in the water and watched the dolphin do a flip and swim past us... no touching the dolphin. Pictures were awful. Was absolutely not worth the money it was like throwing money away. The penguin encounter was also a disaster, kids werent allowed touch the penguins, we couldnt take photos. The photos that were professionally taken were awful. Other people were complaining during the experience which brought the whole mood down. The sea lion experience was a disgrace. They ran out of proper fitting masks they didnt fit either of my children staff didnt care they didnt get to see the sea lion swim under them. My son was crying coz the water got into his mask. The pictures I did purchase we didnt get right digital qr codes for.And the food... No words ..burgers burnt like rubber.Avoid avoid avoid. We have previously been to zoomarine in Portugal which is top class. This is run by absolute chancers. We did complain and they didnt care.
Loved it! Better to book online and in your own currency, £25 for two. Its small from the outside but a bit like the TARDIS bigger on the inside!
It was an amazing experience. The dolphin show was the best part. There was also a bird show but it was not that interesting. The bird show in the cablecar at Benalmadena was much better. But in general Selwo Marina has different animals: sea lions, turtles, birds, monkeys, dolphins, alligators, snakes, iguanas, and penguins. It also has a park for kids to play and a restaurant that serves fast food snacks and refreshments. If you go, do not miss the Dolphin show. You need approximately 3 hours to be able to finish the park with ease.
An absolute must see. Great day 🐬
Relatively compact, but fine for a morning out. An area was closed for refurb when we were there. Swimming/ time with the dolphins costs extra beyond the entrance fee, although looked great. Cheaper to book online than pay for entry at the ticket office.
So much fun ! Loved the life dolphin and parrot shows ! Do not skip The private dolphin experience it is worth it 🤩🎉
Small oceanarium for families - you can see here dolphins, penguins and parrots. Timewise - for a morning or an afternoon, not the whole day. From Malaga you can take the metro 😉
We went mid week and it was easy to find, we enjoyed the Dolphins they put on a good show, the Dolphins were the the main attraction. I they had sea lions, Penguins and a few other animals. We felt we were stretching out the visit because you could walk around it very quickly if you wanted to, just make sure you have your timing right for the shows to get value out of it, I did think it was a small bit expensive.
There were 7 of us and the lady behind the desk informed me that it is cheaper to buy the tickets online €141.90 I also purchasedthe cable car €109.17. No-one one wanted to do Selwo adventure. Not once was I informed that some of facilities were unavailable and that if you buy your tickets from the establishment you will get reduced prices on the cable car. Baring in mind 7 of us and how expensive it is I think this is something that could have been mentioned before I bought the tickets online and certainly when I discussed it with her. There is no signage before you purchase informing you that some facilities are closed which is I think is unacceptable, I purchased the tickets from tiquets whilst at selwo marina and when I contacted them about this they could do nothing for me so be careful purchasing tickets online. The park is not worth the entrance fee, the only thing any good is the dolphin show. The staff are unfriendly and cant be bothered with tourists and doing their job. On a whole I dont recommend it. It is incredibly short with not alot to see.
Wow amazing park so much to see and do, we went there for my little boys 5th birthday and he loved every minute of it (as did mammy & daddylol. The food in the park was nice too highly recommend 👌 we got our photo with the dolphins big high light for Charlie
Compact but lovely atmosphere with interesting selection of animals - the animal talks steal the show. We paid extra for a penguin and dolphin experience - you arent able to touch the animals but still great experiences, even with the spanish/English translation the staff are great at trying to answer your questions. Only wish we had time to swim with the sea lions too. Bit disappointing the photos from the experience are quite an expensive extra cost and you arent allowed to take your own. Really good selection of food, all delicious. Great day out, if a little pricey to get full benefit.
We tried the dolphin intersection experience in June 22.We bought our (very expensivetickets for the interaction online, only to be informed on site that we have to pay additionally the full entrance to the park..They did not allow us to use our mobile phones during the interaction with dolphins, because they had a professional photographer shooting us for a ridiculously high price per picture! They did not even allow us to touch the dolphins due to "the covid situation".Overall way overpriced experience that felt like exploitation. I wouldnt recommend it.
Main attraction being the dolphins. You can also get your photo taken with them within a close distance. They have penguins and other exotic animals as well.
Its okay. Quite expensive for a small area to visit, in and out in an hour.
It was a very nice experience, although a part of the park was closed due to maintenance. I really loved the bird show and the dolphin show. Unfortunately, the shows were not multilingual, so I could just enjoy watching the animals (e.g. the partots flying over the audiencebut didn’t understand the commentary. The park is a bit small, but filled with a lot of stuff.
Great dolphin show and lots to see, small area.
Visited with my family. Parking on street nearby, free and spacious. Staff is very friendly and helpful also patient with all kinds of tourists request. Toilet is easy accessible and clean. Penguin encounter was very nice and children loved it very much. Also, dolphin encounter was 10000% successful and children were thrilled. We brought video on USB and 3 photos for 52 eur. I think that photos should be little lower. Food was good and tasty, coffee and warm chocolate was nice. Everything was clean and COVID protected. I reccomend this plave 10000%.
Small aqua park with a few parrots and monkeys plus a couple of crocodiles dolphins, seal lions and penguins , good access for all people, lovely and clean, good food drink well priced. Spent a relaxing 4hrs there and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. Also right next to a fabulous public park with pond lovely fauna and wildlife.
I visited here and was a little apprehensive that it might not be as good as other places to see but I was swayed by the good reviews and it really didnt dissappoint. I have 2 small kids and they absolutely loved it. Its got a great selection of animals and especially the bird area you walk through where they roam free. Lovely little play area. The interactive shows really make it for the kids. The bird show and dolphin shows were amazing to watch. (I did feel a moral dilemma regarding watching the animals being made spectacles of as I noticed they call it an information talk but clearly its not....afterwards, i felt a bit of guilt for visiting!)
What a great little park. You can swim with sea lions (for a pricethere is a great Dolphin show, Monkeys, birds, fish ... great day
Spent about two hours here and had no wait entering as it is off season. Many more animals than anticipated which made it enjoyable. Dolphin shows are at 12:00, 14:00 and 17:00 (April 2022). I would plan to get here between 1-2 hours before or after the shows so that you don’t have to wait around like we did. Probably the best dolphin show we have seen, just a shame it only lasted 15 minutes, we would have liked to see more. Sit towards the back if you don’t want to get splashed. Tickets are a bit pricey at €24 but if you consider the welfare, care and variety of the animals it is understandable. Tickets can be brought on the Selwo marina website in advanced to save money. You can also pay extra for animal experiences or photographs. Several ice cream stalls / American food areas. A nice half a day out!
Cute but small zoo, definitely great for kids with a delightful dolphin show that should not be missed. If possible buy the tickets online as they are cheaper. It is a lovely environment showcasing various animals from around the world of which a few are within an aviary which can be walked through allowing you to get close with a few birds and monkeys.Other animals are housed within clean enclosures allowing everyone to see them easily. There are a few educational talks introducing certain animals throughout the day along with the option to take a picture with a sea lion.Overall however, the dolphin show is what made the price worth it, so I definitely recommend not missing it. Additionally try to avoid the front 4 rows of seats as they are below water level which impedes your view of the performance.
If you want to see a variety of penguins, dolphins, Sea Lions and parrots then this is a great place to visit. Shows focused on animal welfare and protecting the planet. Animals are very well looked after.
This was so much better than I expected. It seemed like only a small place from the outside, but it had so many things to offer.Unfortunately the prices are cheaper on the website, and having tried the website, it didnt work. The prices can vary depending on the day too.But the penguins were probably the best part. There are also two cages you can go into, gilled with monkeys, birds and other animals. That was incredible. The dolphins were also impressive, but I had to go after a few minutes.
Visited in December 21. Booked for the Penguin encounter and it was absolutely brilliant.Very slick process, you have to arrive an hour before your booking to confirm attendance. Gives you chance to walk around other enclosures. The park was clean and social distancing rules were in place.Exotic Birds display was cool. With interactions for everyone.Didnt see much of Dolphins or Sea Lions.Going back to Penguins encounter. Really cool with personal trainer explaining about different breeds and conservation. Penguins get really close and are friendly and inquisitive...And hungry. If you love animals, definitely worth a visit.
Great afternoon out in the sunshine - not a lot to see but combined ticket with the cable car trip up Mt Calamorro and trekking along there, it was an enjoyable day out for €25
Great place for kids and adults as well. There could be better signs for attractions that have its show hours. We had a bit of throuble ti find Amazon tour at first. But worth it definetely.
It was smaller than we expected but that said we had a great day, we have 6 children ages ranging between 1 and 10, they all had the best time and to us thats what matters. Biggest hits were obviously the penguins, dolphins and sea lions. The staff we encountered were all really lovely. We were there for 4.5hours which was just right. The souvenir shop and food were, as usual and expected for these type of places over priced.
we had a really enjoyable afternoon at Selwo, loved it and although it was a very hot day there was plenty of shade to be had.We chose a weekend to visit but you will find a lot of local people here plus lots of Children.Firstly there are a lot of pathways and white arrows to follow which sometimes was a bit confusing but if times no problem you can just mooch about. You will see the ice house which contains the penguins, the Amazon house which contains just about every wierd creature ,the parrot display ,the monkey enclosure and the fantastic dolphin show. After you have seen all that a cool drink and good food welcomes you in the café and shop. What is good about the Selwo marina is that it has a huge carpark outside plus it has a local bus stop.
It was OK. Looks outdated and not very inviting. Be careful during busy periods as you might not get access due to Covid restrictions. We were told we couldnt enter even though many people were leaving. Didnt make sense so we left only to be called back by another member of the public who saw us leaving, it seems we could now enter but wished we had actually left. Not much else to do in the area so theyve sort of got you cornered if you have kids and dont want to travel too far away.
Had a really good day here. Plenty to see, and the animal shows were excellent. The dolphin show was brilliant.
Went here whilst on holiday in Costa Del Sol. Decided to take a tourist travel bus ride type thing around the area and happened to come across the marina. What a lovely little place to visit. We only had a few hours till the bus was due back to take us home, luckily enough the Dolphin and sea lion show was about to start when we arrived. The place was empty and the overall dolphin experience was brilliant. I haven’t been to one of these shows before and I loved every minute. We didn’t have enough time to get a pic with the beauties themselves, but managed to scoot round the rest of the park and make it back to the bus in time. Really lovely day. Would highly recommend the dolphin and sea lion show.
