Seldom In Guest House in Jasper Park Lodge

We had a lovely stay at Seldom In. Sherrill and Doug are wonderful hosts, full of knowledge about Jasper and surrounds. Loved the morning coffees and chats! The room was clean and comfortable. We can’t wait to visit again one day!

Sherrill and Doug were fantastic hosts who were really welcoming and friendly. They also took the effort to help us to plan our day so we could see more of Jasper’s beauty!We were at the rooms on the second floor, which were clean and cozy. Living room area and dining room areas are shared. The kitchen is well equipped with most things needed for simple meals (microwave, toaster). Really really enjoyed our stay here in Jasper and would highly recommend it!

Had a wonderful experience here this summer visiting Jasper! Sherill was incredibly kind and offered I use her new hiking boots. She has a beautiful place walking distance into town. We also had a mix up with payment and she worked a month+ later to get it sorted out. Would absolutely recommend. :)

Our stay with Sherrill and Doug was wonderful. We had a nice and clean room and were allowed to use the kitchen and living room including the piano. Both of them were very caring and thoughtful. They even lent us bear spray. With their tips about the region we made the utmost of our stay in Jasper. We hope to be able to come back one day.

We had a nice room with separate bathroom. The whole house is nicely decorated to make you feel at home. The house is located in a very quiet neighborhood but still in walking distance to both restaurants and groceries.Doug and Sherrill were amazing hosts! They are sweet and wonderful people and were good at answering any question we could have about the area.Because of both Doug and Sherrills long career in the national parks, they were able to come with suggestions for hikes both in Jasper, but also in the other national parks in the area. If you are looking for a home away from home, Seldom In Guest House is definitely the place to stay in Jasper.

Cant recommend staying at Seldom In highly enough. The house is picturesque, and a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Bedrooms are basically, comfortably furnished and the communal areas (kitchen and living areanicely done up. Most importantly, staying here is like spending time with your own personal park rangers. Doug and Cheryl are kind and considerate hosts, offering free coffee or tea in the morning, and have huge amounts of knowledge about the local area (having spent decades working for the national parks). They are full of useful recommendations on things to do, which paths and routes to explore, the places to see different types of wildlife, as well as generally interesting history about Jasper and the national parks. For the price, its an absolute steal. Would stay here again without a second thought!

One of the best accomodation ever! Stayed there for 3 nights with my friends. Very nice bedrooms with comfortable beds and amazing views, and a cozy living room full of plants. Cleanliness is what I care about the most and this one is even cleaner than hotels. Sherill and Doug are extremely friendly and have expert-level of information on Jasper. Will definitely visit again!

Very nice accommodations. Rooms are super clean and have mountain view. Hosts are super friendly. Sherill and Doug also provide valuable information about Banff and Jasper. Reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Mon coup de coeur de Jasper !!! Un couple charmant, vraiment gentil, ouvert desprit qui nous ont bien recu :les lits sont douillets et confortable ! Très propre et chaleureux. Il recoivent des voyageurs depuis 19 ans deja. Je vous recommande !! Ils ont tous les deux travailler pour les Parcs nationnals alors, ils peuvent vous guider pour vos excursions en nature dans les plus beaux endroits des environs. Nous allons y retourner sans hesiter lorsque nous serons de retour a Jasper. Merci Sheryl et Doug pour cette belle experience <3

Good accommodations, place is clean, friendly owners

For the price, this was an excellent place to stay. Extremely clean, very knowledgeable and personable hosts and comfortable accommodations. While they dont serve breakfast, they allow you to use a large refrigerator, microwave, dishes, table, etc.. So, a DIY breakfast is easy and pleasant.

Our host, Sherill was really thoughtful and made sure we were comfortable during our stay and provided us with tips on things to see and do around town. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Jasper.
