Seerenbach Falls - Tourist attraction in Frauenfeld, Switzerland
Seerenbach Falls in Frauenfeld
Description
Privilege
It was beautiful although there wasnt much water since it barely rained before I was there.
MoreNot much water but very nic place and great walk round lake with excellent views!✌️🌞🌊🏞🌲🗻
MoreNo water in summertime
Nice walk to the waterfall. 30/40 minutes from the ferry port. Hiking level easy. Unfortunately is not possible to get close to the water, you can only watch from far.
MoreAwesome view
Fantastic mountain and nature watterfalls
Beautiful waterfalls, as there are 5 different water streams over here. Easy hike from car parking, which is about 2 km from the waterfall. Can be done with small kids. Careful with the car, as you can enter only at specific time in the hour.
MoreLovely place a bit damp, but thats what you expect from the waterfalls. Take proper hiking shoes, if you want to go up.
MoreImpressive waterfall, makes for a perfect stop during a hike around Betlis
Nice hidden gem actually. The trail from Betlis to falls is nice with splendid views. The viewpoint for the falls is at perfect spot, pleasantly 🙂.
MoreThe Seerenbach Falls are amazing yet strongly dependent on the weather. After a few days of sun during summer, they quickly run dry, well almost at least. But if they are in full power, they are breath taking, literally. They create such strong winds they make it hard to breath when youre close. Also, you will get soaked by the fog they cause due to their hight. It is an amazong place and always worth a visit.
MoreIt is a quite place for an easy walk with breathtaking views. A full-package for a relaxing day.
MoreA perfect location for an easy walk
Nice and easy walk with a great view
Fantastic walk around Walensee, going from Wesen and following the path along. We went through the caves before to reach the splendid Seerenbach waterfalls. I strongly recommend to discover this beautiful area.
MoreBeautiful! There are two hikes from the parking lot, one is through some houses and 30 minutes, the other one is along a restaurant and 20 minutes.
MoreIt is just beautiful! If you dont believe it then come and see it yourself!
It was too wonderful. Amazing walk, amazing landscape. 🤍🤍🤍
For people who are not a great fan of hiking (like me), this hike is bearable. 😜 It wasnt to steep! Thats always my problem. This place is breathtaking! You should see it to believe.
MoreA beautiful waterfall with magnificent surroundings - view of the lake and the mountains
MoreAmazing spot!Very close to Zurich, recommended for one day trip.Open 24/7 and entrance is free.Street to reach the spot a bit narrow and has restrictions at the end - one traffic lane, there are certain time slots to pass. However, you can even walk beforehand - the route along Walensee is really nice.
MoreA very nice place to walk with a cart, which you have to leave for the last 5 minutes of walking to see the waterfall. Beautiful views on a sunny day!
MoreLost for words!! This scenic waterfall is easily reached from Betlis (about 20mins walkvia a well marked path. It is worth taking the higher path to this specific viewpoint of the waterfall, it can be tricky without the right shoes, but the results are fantastic! Not too busy either!
MoreThis waterfall is very STRONG. Almost nobody can imagine so much water coming out of a mountain! St least I dont. It gets even better if you follow the path to above the viewing platform and continue over the slippery river, if you make it the path continues until you are much closer to the waterfall and have a much better view than from the platform. I really recommend this place because the short and easy hike to the waterfall is completely worth it!
MoreYou should come here when it rains or snow melts in order to enjoy the full power of these waterfalls. The road to get there is an adventure for everyone, a joy to hike. Just the last hundred metres or so are through the woods and not stroller / wheelchair / bicycle accessible.
MoreBe aware that in summer water at times can be scarce...
If you arrive by car you drive along the beautiful Walensee. But you have to drive through a very narrow one-way street, so I would recommend to leave the camper at home hahaParking spaces are available. A half an hour walk to the actual waterfall.
MoreNice place for walking with the family - even with stroller. But there are places with falling rocks, so it could be dangerous.
MoreNice walk along the lake walensee and great view above
Its beautiful and very easy to reach. I gave 4 stars as Ive seen better waterfalls in Switzerland.
MoreBeautiful waterfalls above the Walensee. You can take an easy hike from Weesen.
This is a magical place, when we arrived here there where 2 rainbows! One in each waterfall, the view is breathtaking. Its was bit dangerous trying to get closer to the giant waterfall, but the feeling was what made it worthy going close to it , in the way to this waterfall you also get to see all the way near the river including the tunnel with the holes peaking out to the lake, and a very old monument, and the amazing views to the mountain... It was a beautifull experience! Its easy to spot and the there is plenty of spaces to park, you can go with car, almost until you see it, there are no WC acess, unless in the way close to the lake, there is a restaurant on the way to the waterfall a small village and a cute Chapel, as shown in the pictures.
MoreSeerenbach Falls, known also as Seerenbachfälle, and Rinquelle waterfall (in English: the source of the Rin), are composed of two sepertae "stories" of two diffrent streams. These remarkable waterfalls are located on the north shore of the Walensee (Lake Walenin Amden municipality. The Seerenbach Falls, one of Europe’s tallest waterfalls, are consist of three waterfalls with a total height of 585 m.The middle waterfall, (305 mis one of Switzerland’s tallest waterfalls.Directly below point of Seerenbach cascade, on the east wall of the canyon, there is a remarkable phenomenon, a waterfall that comes out of the mountain, the Rinquelle waterfall with a height of 45 m.The Rin stream is one of Europe’s largest subterranean rivers/ streams systems. The water of the Rinquelle originates in a huge cave system that was investigated since the beginning of the 20th century. It is evident that there is a 3-km-long canal that leads somewhere deep into the depth of the mountain. You can arrive with a car to the small village of Betlis, and from theere you can climb in the 400 m path uphill (80 m height), to the viewpoint (in German - Aussichtspunkt Seerenbachfälle).Highly recomended for all waterfalls lovers!
MoreOpen 24/7, free of charge, 20m walk from parking. Highest Waterfall of Switzerland with 585m. The Seerenbach falls over three stages in a large basin in the fine water mist and very strong breeze prevail. There is a narrow path leading from Betli village. Some information boards explain the origin of the water and the underground river system that emerges through a hole in the rock directly next to the waterfalls out of the mountain, the so-called Rinquelle. This place has a special power, here everything is loaded with magical energy and the stunning nature together with the view of the Walensee make the Seerenbach Falls and the Rinquelle an impressive destination.
MoreThis waterfalls is worth every step of the hike. A wonderful and a powerful place it is!
MoreEasy road, good even for 3-4 yo
Wonderful waterfall, fresh air and breath taking view
Beautiful placeAmazing views
Amazing waterfalls and awesome view of the Walensee.
Very pretty. Water definitely falls, and the mountain backdrop is pretty good.
End of December and the waterfall is in full!
Dont go there after a hot, dry summer – the waterfall just might have vanished.
MoreSmall waterfall, but beautiful way to get here. You are walking by the Walensee lake. The views are amazing. You will be amazed byť the nature around. I recommend to get here earlier around 10am to get the parking space. This is perfect track for nice slow walk or even with the bike. At the beginning of the footpath there is a beautiful beach where you can sit and relax and get into the water.
MoreFamily and kids friendly
You can only drive your car to the car park 2 times per hour. (On the o’clock and 30’ mins past the hour, as mentioned in other reviews. Amazing views of stunning lake and alps.
MoreWas cold and sleeting but still worth the view.
Nice and simple hiking, possible with strawler. No problem for 5y kid, too.
Beautiful and peaceful place the roads are very tight there is limit for how wide (2.0m)and how high(2.5m)your car can be there are timings when you cross that road is your going there look at the board before you cross that little road its a one way be very CAREFUL once you get their there is a paid parking lot bring some coins with you it doesnt accept credit cards you walk uphill to the waterfall which is about a 30 minutes away
MoreBrilliant place, great view on the cascade, easy access for children. Absolutely worth a visit!
MoreLeave your car in Wessen and follow the road ahead on the northside on Wallensee. Your walk will take you from the westend of the lake trough narrow roads and trails, caverns, forest to the waterfall. Breathtaking views will surround your every step. Its worth it.
