Sedep Malem - Sundanese restaurant in Bandung, Indonesia
Sundanese food. Delicious.
a loyal customer for more than 15 year
Must try restaurant if youre in Bandung... Very nice Sundanese food and feel authentic, lots of sambal option that you can choose free with lalapan ( typical raw sundanese vegies that you can enjoy along with sambal of your choice you must try grilled carp with sweet soy sauce, recommended 👍🏻
Nicely roasted gurame, no smell of soil. Very soft meat, and savoury spices on top. Also you should try their kangkung pedes.
Good place, good food, good price. They have 6 variety of sambal, and its free for you to choose and take.
Be ready with cash, mbanking or QRIS for payment..The traditional Sundanesse foods are delicious, good hospitality. Limited parking spaces.
Sundanese restaurant at city down town
Free sambal (chili sauceand lalap (steam veggieand free hot tea (refill too!i love everything but the rice is alot wkwk i mean keras or dry but my favorite is the chicken and babat so nice, also they sell kerupuk 💖🌷
One of the best Sundanese restaurant in Bandung, since 1960s (if Im not mistaken). However, their taste is quite sweet for Sundanese foods, which is famous with the saltiness.
Not bad at all, plus they got all you can eat "Lalapan" With various sambal to try.
Delicious sundanese food. I recommend the fried chicken that use ayam kampung. The sambals is very good but sometimes they ran out at night thats why i deducted a star. All in all a very nice restaurant
One of our favourite Sundanese restaurants in Bandung with a vast variety of delicious dishes in a great setting. We ordered gurami goreng with bumbu acar, karedok, nasi merah, nasi oncom, nasi tuteg, empal gepuk, dendeng, tempe macem, nasi timbel, and many more. They have avocado juice with mocca syrup too, They also have fresh and steamed vegetables and six different sambals where you can help yourself.
Good foods with various menu and speedy service from their friendly staffs. They have nice environment too. Love this place
This is one of my fav sundanese resto, overall the food are good but the highlight of this resto is free flow sambals and lalapan
A typical sundanese restaurant. Free sambel and lalap. Prices are very affordable and quality of foods are good too. Happy customers we are
Good food. Reasonable price. Good service
Served sundaneese food with various sambal , spacious dining room and parking lot , strategic location in the heart of Bandung , very near to simpang lima
One of my favourite place to have a Sundanese food at Bandung City . The selection of the food is very varieties from the chicken fish and soup . They Also giving you a complimentary fresh salad or you called it lalaban and hot tea .
Delicious Sundanesse foods. You can take the chilly (sambalalso vegetables by your self. They have so many sambal (8 different sambals and veggies (more than 10 items). My favourite Sundanesse restaurant
It was a rainiy day and we just arrived from Jakarta, starving. Check Google map and find this place. The food was ok for me and my wife, but not for the kids. The place is not bright enough, maybe is by design. We ate nila fish, gepuk, tumis genjer and pepes jamur for almost IDR 200,000, normal price if you are in Jakarta area. So, is it recommended ? I think so, I saw many families come here for dinner. Maybe I should wait for my kids growing up a bit more and be able to savour Sundanese cuisines.
The flavor is good, I ordered deep fried gurame and taste good enough, it didnt have any muddy nutty earthy flavor which is good. They have many choices of sambal, it wasnt spicy at all, but taste okay
great food, really recommend their grilled fish, especially "gurame bakar kecap", and also you can take those chilis and raw vegetable as much as you need. but the place is a bit dark, could use some more lamps/lightning.
Nice ambience, stay away from the ponds due to mosquitoes in the evening, excellent food!!! I like the concept of free flow steamed vegetables.I really love the sayur-assam soup... one of the nicest I have ever tried/tasted.I like the grilled fish (grouper-gurame), more than the deep fried one.The karedok is awesome too!I’ll skip the grilled chicken, Hawaii chicken from next door tastes better, albeit more salty. Not very crowded nor noisy on a weekend (Sunday evening).Service can be further improved, staff can be better trained to be more observant and focused on serving customers instead of focusing on getting things done. :)I will definitely come back again!
Nice cozy place, friendly and helpful staff, clean restroom (with mini aquarium too). However most of the food we ordered is not to my liking - veggies and fish didnt taste fresh, ordered gurame bumbu acar and omg the is so little for that size of a fish. In the end cant taste the sauce at all. Sayur asem is good tho. I think they can improve the quality of the food then i will come back
My kids loved the openness where they can running around safely. Its also quiet and have a beautiful ethnic decorations. There are also some birds sang a lot inside their cages. The waiters were so friendly they even offered my kid to feed their fishes (free)
Recommended resto and sundanese food in Bandung
One of the best sundanese restaurant. They serve free flow sambal and side dishes. They have any kind of sambal from less spicy to most spicy chili. They have alot of dishes here from chickens to jengkol if you like. This one of the best family restaurant.
This is my first time to eat lunch at Sedap Malam.I arrived at 1.30 pm and to my surprised the place was packed with people, thought its almost finish lunch hour.Good service. The staffs are attentive and kind.Food came out faster than I had expected (coz its full!)I had grilled fished (gurame, perkedel (fried mashed potatoeskangking (morning glory), and lalapan (any kind of fresh veggies west java style). There are 5 different sambals (chilly spice and 2 of them are super spicy!!).I tried Goyobod its cold dessert, with ice, avocado, coconut and some ingredients i dont know. Its great especially if you are sweet tongues!😁I would recommend this place to anyone or any tourists who want to try Indonesian sundanese food. Its also children friendly.. theres a swing for children at the back yard. 😁Have fun and happy tummy !!!
This Sundanese restaurants serve very fast but with standart taste, with free flow sambal of at leats 6 types of sambal and vegetables
Nila goreng is NOT recommended, for me the fish is not fresh and actually they can put more spice to make it tasty.Pepes Jamur is recommended.Sadly, the Nasi Liwet didnt taste as expected (with that price), could use more spice.Tumis genjer and veggies are OK. Cumi mentega is good.Parking lot and the overall place are quite big. Quick service but the waiters couldve been nicer though. All food is quite pricey.
All the foods wereeeee arghhhh amazing! This is the place i desire to have Sudanese Cuisine. I should be able to give 5 stars, if only the waitress nicer and more communicative. One thing should be improved is the service. Seriously. The service was near to terrible. We wait for the food like 30minutes, within the time we asked the waitress whether tge food is coming, but then they never came back to us to gave any updates. Lame. But i and my fellas didnt complain, since we have no energy (really hungryand really enjoy the food after the foods came. So its kinda too tired to complain.
Sunda Restaurant. Trying their gurame cobek bakar (grilled spicy fresh water fish), boiled tofu (bean curd), stir fry toge wih jambal (bean sprout with salted fishand tumis jengkol (stir fry smelly bean). Like most of Indonesian food, the dishes tends to sweet due to marinated with sweet soybean sauce. They provide free various sambal and fresh veggies for salad.
Delicious food, affordable prices, free of taking vegetables & chili. There are many choices of sambals. The place is homy, very not recommended to sit on the lesehan at the end, because it is less comfortable. I have ever fallen from the roof of the dirt and there are rats that have emerged from the edge of the gap. The toilet is only 1, sometimes rather smelly. The seat on the right side of the restaurant near plant lots of mosquitoes and lights very dimly when night.Send feedbackHistorySavedCommunity
nice taste but not the service. it has many variant of chilli sauce. must try this but please be patient. the car park is also big and safe. the food that i recommend is fried chicken with liwet rice and patay
Good Sunda restaurant located in central Bandung, food was delicious and free refill of vegetable (like salad in indonesian wayand 6 choices of sambal (chili paste).
This restaurant provide us with sundaneese cuisine with semi modern ambience. Foods were good with fair price. Free of plain tea, salad and choices of sambal. High chair also available if you bring your infant with you.Easy for us to park our car since parking lot is enough for up to 10 cars and a lot of bikes. Two thumbs up for the clean and neat rest rooms. They only receive cash and CC, so dont forget to bring cash or CC along with you before treat your family or friends😊. I would love to give this restaurant 5* if they also provide EDC for debit card for transaction.
Good food, price still reasonable. We can choose our lalap and sambal by ourself. Best nasi liwet and gurame bakar. Place is comfortable but not too big.
They served delicious foods. The Ayam bakar is nice but a little bit too sweet. Self serve sambal and lalapan.
Place is narrow but food is okay. A little bit pricey for such restaurant. Unfortunately we visited on weekend and the place was hectic. There is only small outdoor space with little wooden swing and pond for the kids to play around. Nasi liwet, gurame goreng, and many kinds of sambal are the best. The service was also excellent. All and all, one of the best sundanese resto in town. But only three stars, because they dont accept cards. Bring your cash if you do not want to get into any trouble.
Many types of Indonesian chilly sauce (from sweet zero hot to very hotand vegetables, fresh and boiled; all you can eat. Tasty other Sundanese foods like fried gurame, fried tofu, fried and grilled chicken, etc. Ordinary rice and "nasi liwet"
...for whom visiting Bandung and seeking local authentic dishes with affordable price, comfy atmosphere, this is the perfect choice. Nice and helpful staffs, yummy-licious foods, and proper parking lot...
What I like about the food is especially for the fish.. freshly cooked fish with decent sauce.. and many other good food here. You should try..
If you are looking for an authentic Sundanese restaurant, here is the spot. They have unlimited lalapan (mix of different salad greens and veg, typical accompaniment for sundanese cuisineand different types of sambal. Beware if you are not into spicy, some of their sambals are bomb! I love their nasi liwet (white rice with coconut and anchovies), deep fried gurame fish and pepes.
This place offers a lot of menus, such as nasi goreng, ikan bakar, ayam bakar, sop, tumis kangkung and many more. But one of my favourite menu is Bandrek Susu. It was just so awesome, combination between ginger, milk, aren and also coconut feels so good. Whenever you came here, you must try it. Delicious taste and good for healthy. You also given a wifi facility here, not really fast but its good enough for you to browse something.
All you can eat sambal and boiled vegetables (lalap. Romantic surrounding and great food
The Sundanese menus they served there are still the same. Moderate taste but now too expensive in my opinion. Better than Amperas though.
Definition of value-for-money. Fresh produce nicely cooked in traditional style. Ambience is great too.
Sundanese menu, very delicious, has variants chilli sauce. Place is cozy, has parking lot. Quite nice to have lunch here, lots of people does.
My favourite place for having a decent good sundanese food. It is beyond words to describe it, you have to try it yourself. And by the way they have a free flow buffet of vegetables and sambals.
Pretty decent Sundanese food serves here, theres a table full of lalapan & sambal to choose from. But they allow smoking in the restaurant 😟
