Secret Pizza - Restaurant in Louangphrabang, Laos
Nothing special, just a pizza,Also, staffs too loud and look confused 😕
I think this is the best pizza I ever had outside of Italy (after living there for over a year). The crust was incredibly thin so it was easy to eat a whole personal pizza and order salad and dessert. The location has a nice rustic feel and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The pizza is a little bit overrated. But still, it was pretty good. The price is two high for Laos, 90,000-100,000 for small pizza
This place is very different. Just open at Tuesdays and Fridays. Busy place with a lot of foreign people (falang). Pizza is delicious with very thin dough and not too much toppings. Not everyone know that place but worth the visit.
This restaurant only opens on Tuesday and Friday, it’s not a mistake on Google Map. We were told by the cashier, it used to open only on Friday. We ordered the chef’s imagination pizza, it tastes very good, authentic Italian pizza. We also had a lasagna, but the portion is a bit small with a price of 60,000kip. The place can be crowded from 1930 onwards, just be patient with your food:)
Excellent food and service. There are many choices of Italian food ( pizza, spaghetti, etc). The pizza was perfect.
I love this place, cozy, great food
If you were looking for the good pizza and best you should to come here .
Great pizza in town but little bit slow when peak hours
One pizza consists of thin dough and cheese as thick as the dough. It is a very warm and cozy space. There are a lot of people for visiting, and packing. It was very nice to be able to enjoy the food in the spacious outdoor. All the food we ordered was delicious and the staff was friendly. But there are a lot of food orders, so be patient.
Went there last night with my wife and some friends. We had 3 different pizzas a plate of pastas and salads. All of the food was very good and the pizzas were the best Ive had in years. I wanted to keep eating but I ran out of room in my belly :-)
Dont bother this place if you dont speak lao....and when they are busy, pizza ingredients will be half the amount of its supposed to be....No folk, knife, napkins. the waiter bring lasagna and left the food with nothing... even I ask for several times. by the time we got silverware , food is cold and dry....
They have very good service and the pizza is made with real Italian ingredients.
Excellent pizza, nice atmosphere, pool table, good for groups. One pizza is plenty for most regular sized men with an appetite.
The pizza was delicious but the prices were very high compared to other similar food in Luang Prabang & Vientiane
Great concept, but only open Tuesdays and Fridays. Pizza is as good as any you would get in Italy. Lasagne too, is nice. Not too hard to find. Prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended
This is the best pizza weve had in Asia. You might think youre in Italy, except for the woman who set up the tropical juice bar. Super family friendly!
The 4 cheese pizza and the lasagna were some of the best weve ever had.The service can be a bit slow but the staff is nice and the owner is really cool (and Italian!)Prices are around 60 000 kip for a pizza with laos ingredients and 80 000 kip for a pizza with imported Italian ingredients. The restaurant is not really in the center (20 minutes walkbut its reaaaally worth it!
Good pizza vegan option and delicious.
Tasty food. We had pizza, pasta, tiramisu and house wine and loved all. The pizza is different than Im used to, the neapolitan pizza crust is very thin and too crunchy for my taste but yet delicious.
Top notch pizza. The service is a little wonky but well worth the delicious food.
Excellent pizza. The long wait is worth it. Even in Italy, it is very rare to find such good pizzas. They are cooked with wood fire. With a few Lao beers, the night is amazing there. Be ready to wait.
Poor service. They forgot my drinks and even after my third try to get some wine they didnt bring it to my table. After we had our pizza and paid nobody was interested in my complaint
A truly hidden gem in the backyard of the owner’s house. Prob the best pizza I’ve had in many years. haha it was full house when I went earlier this year, maybe not so secret after all! Really hope this place still remains just as cosy when I return to Luang Prabang again.
Pizzas are delicious, great atmosphere!! However dont go too hungry because it can be a while before your order will be ready .....otherwise fabulous
Great as always. Ive had pizza here several times and the standards of this place have never dropped, not even by a bit. Best pizza ever.
I went here a few years ago but never left a review. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening. Pizza was excellent. The owner, a very nice guy. To this day I havent found a better pizza. This guys cooking had stuck in my mind ever since, which is why I decided to leave this review. I plan to return to Laos next year and look forward to going again.
Very nice place, a bit remote and only open two days a week, but it makes it interesting. Great pizza, fair price and nice staff!
We loved the whole deal here . The tuk tuk was 60,000 kip to take us there sleep n wait for us .The pizzas were superb , a change from everything we had been eating . The salad and juice idea was great ! I loved mixing my own salad. Great to see pride n passion family .Only open 2 nights , so plan and book . Not cheap on local standards , it’s well with it though. The guy who runs the front was so lovely , we will be sending our girls there when they visit in July . Thanks again .
Get bore of local foods. Maybe you could try here.It only opens 2 days a week. Check before coming. Need to drive or take a taxi to get here.Pizza is ok but not lasagna. No idea about pasta as my order missed it way to land on the table.Average price. You wont break your wallet.
Cool place, only opens twice a week I believe. Lucky to get reservations. The place was packed. The pizza is really good and the salami was one of the best. Highly recommend.
super good Pizza (super thinin a location you would not expect it and for a reasonable price. You sit in a nice backyard in a residential area, since its quite a bit outside of toown center you need to take a tuktuk or grab to get there.Only open on Friday and Tuesday, so plan for it, but definitely worth to stop by if you grave some Italian. They have some pasta dishes which you should pre-order via phone.
Best pizza I’ve tried in SE Asia!Andrea and his family open this place twice a week for our great pleasure. We wish it would be open more often but maybe that’s the reason why the place is such an exclusive and desired one! The location is about 7-10 minutes away from the center by car.Make sure you book in advance if you want early dinner. Otherwise after 8:30pm you’ll always find some seats.
Super good pizza. Unfortunately no pineapple on the menu though. Also good tiramisu for dessert. We had to wait less than 20 minutes before getting our pizzas.
Recommended to us by the bnb owner.Located very deep into a housing area, super hidden and very authentic Italian pizza you can find in Luang Prabang.Get there by hiring a tuktuk, and you need to tell the driver when to come back to get you. No way you can get another tuktuk back.
Twice a week Andrea and his Family open this hidden gem of a restaurant to serve the most delicious italian style pizza, pasta and desserts. It has a very warm, sort of family, atmosphere and if your in Luang Prabang Tuesday or Friday you should not miss out.
This place is such a gem! Easily accessible if you drive/take a Grab over. Its run by a family who loves pizzas. Best to make reservations beforehand as this place gets crowded during dinner time. The pizzas were very fresh as they were freshly made on the spot. We love the tiramisu dessert as well. The staff give really great recommendation. One of our most memorable meals during our short trip.
Pizza and Italian food the most delicious in Luang Prabang
Such a wonderful pizza but I waited nearly an hour for it!! The rocket salad with the dressing adds to the perfection of it! And of course, the place filled with frangipani trees is very charming!
The best pizza of my life! I do like the thin crust, crispy kind and this one was perfect! Great ambience too!
Paper thin pizza was tasty, and the cozy backyard seating area was a wonderful atmosphere. Just make sure you know what days they are open or not.
Very good, well prepared pizza with thin crust. Could use more toppings to justify the price. Enjoyable experience in a nice setting.
Pizza is pretty good; good flavour of dough, thin and crispy at the edges, but soggy in the middle with a lot of mozzarella. Anchovies ran out so no anchovy pizza when we were there. Flavours are pretty much what youd find in any generic pizzeria.Service was poor. Drinks are ordered on a form; our beer didnt arrive and we were told we hadnt ordered it. Staff were inattentive and we had to go to the counter to order.Pizzas are 60k or 80k.
Yet again were in a country where the last thing we would expect is to be eating absolutely GREAT pizza...we kid you not...An Italian guy, his Laos wife & crew serving-up thin crust pizza. Loads of pizza options to choose from, you can order half of one pizza & half another pizza if youre having difficulty choosing. Or even let the chef decide for you with a Pizza Secret. We were lucky enough to also taste the gnocchi, which is the best weve ever had!And then when you think it couldnt get yummier...desert, profiteroles & tiramisu.Just wish we could of had an espresso & a grappa to top the evening off...Go you will not be disappointed.
Delicious and cheap. Especially like the "special" pizza, which is basically whatever the chef feels like making on the night. Fairly backpackery but big enough to feel chilled out. Family friendly.
Nice environment. Yummy pizzas. Friendly people.
AMAZING hard to find pizza shop. The pizza is pure pizza bliss. They only open Fridays and Tuesdays (when this review is written).Great atmosphere and vibe. A mix of locals and locals expats with the occassional tourists. This is definitely an experience. Be a little adventurous and go for it. You wont regret it.
Great pizza restaurant. They have pizzas made with local ingredients and a special menu with imported ingredients. Nice friendly staff and you can watch the pizzas being cooked in the brick oven. You can also play billiards or foosball in the front before or after you eat. Ample parking for both cars and motorbikes.
Amazing pizza, best I have had in years anywhere in the world! Other good Italian options too. Reasonably priced and well worth a visit.
Delicious wood-fired, brick-oven pizza made by an Italian pizza cook, whose mother in-law whips up great fruit smoothies and grows organic salad greens. Great garden atmosphere. Only open Tuesday and Friday, so plan your schedule around it.
