Saona Crusoe VIP - excellent tour of the Island. Reasonably priced. trips to beaches, snorkeling is the best tour in the country. Highly recommended. great staff!

Loooved the experience with them. Andy and Mamá Chula are the best. I dont remember the name of the other guy, but he was a sweetheart too. It was both an educational experience and also a fun one. I recommend you get the pictures Mamá Chula takes because they turned out very good. Over all, it was a magnificent experience.

Ingrid took us on our day excursion to Saona island and we had the most amazing time, you’re worth choosing Seavis over any hotel operator let alone any other operators, a nice personal day where Ingrid showed us all sides of Saona, from the picturesque beaches to the small village of Mano Juan and the turtle sanctuary. Don’t hesitate to use these guys!!

3/24/2022 - we just came back from the Saona Island tour and it was very disappointing as a whole. The description says: "...great snorkeling, nature, artisan shopping, beach time and a nice lunch. . . . The guiding is in English. Well, there was NO SNORKELING, I dont think they even had snorkel equipment with them. We brought our own looking forward to the awesome snorkeling. A "snorkel tour at the Pier" was even promised, but there was NO SNORKELING, NO TOUR, NO TIME. "Artisan shopping" was a few woman hawking their typical port souvenir jewelry while you were on the small beach, along with offer of a massage in a shack for $40 for 30 minutes. The guide, Santos, while nice enough, spoke very broken English and was hard to understand. The boat was small and crowded and difficult to get in and out of. The food was ok and there was plenty for everyone. You had to stay with your guide and your group. We would NEVER have taken this excursion had we known there was no snorkeling. A complete waste of time and money.

Highly recommend this company for their Saona Island Tour. Everything their itinerary states online is what you get when doing this tour. Its intimate compared to the other party boats that offer similar Saona Island tripsWe booked online and it was super easy! When we arrived on our tour day, we were greeted and right away informed who our tour guide would be- Ingrid! And I could go on and on about how amazing she is! Shes knowledgeable in everything that we toured and was always happy to answer questions.The scenery, being able to snorkel, walk around in the clear water, lunch, drinks and the staff were beyond our expectations. If youre looking for a relaxing day away from your resort without the party boat feel and wanting to snorkel in the beat spots - then you have to sign up for their tour!

We postponed a lot visiting Saona because we would see everyday buses full with people coming in the same time and leaving on the same loud and overcrowded boats. After 4 months in Bayahibe and a lot of research, we decided to go on the tour with Seavis. It was a perfect choice since most of the time we managed to be alone in the spots chosen to stop. We saw big starfish in their natural habitat, we were told not to touch them (which showed they care more about the nature then peoples entertainment), we had a stop in Palmilla, we saw turtles, we did snorkel at an old pier (I recommend you go out of the boat since some people chose not to and for me that one was the best spot), we ate good food, we visited the town, the turtles sanctuary and many other things I am sure I forget now. The most I liked was Ingrids connection with the locals (humans and animals). Everywhere we went, she would talk to people, she would hug children and old people, dogs would follow her, fisherman would salute her. In the same time, she was very careful with our needs, making sure everybody is feeling good. Thank you a lot and hope we see you again in the very near future!

The Soana Island tour was amazing! If you are looking for an eco friendly, non party boat, this is the tour for you! Also there are several more stops then the other tours plus they go to an amazing beach!

I had a great day out to Saona Island with Kirsten and her team. As a biologist by training, Kirsten had great insight into the local wildlife and fauna, and she was very friendly and professional. The whole day passed by so quickly and I was never bored. I also really liked the focus and commitment that the company places on sustainability. Highly highly recommend.

Had an awesome time on the Saona Crusoe VIP Tour! Ingrid was an excellent guide, and taking photos with Pedro was a blast! We saw starfish bigger than my head, had a rum and coke in knee deep water hundreds of yards of the shore, had a delicious lunch on Catuano beach, saw the fishing village and learned about the sea turtle project at Mano Juan, snorkeled in the coral on a secluded beach, and finally had a leisurely boat ride back. Even though we did a lot, I never felt rushed and had plenty of time at each stop. Definitely the highlight of our vacation!

The excursion to Saona Island was one of my favorite parts of my vacation to the Carribean. The history, snorkeling, starfish adventure, coconuts, tour guides, captains, assistants, and photographers all contributed to the excitement and fun of the excursion. We especially loved Pedro (Uncle Pedro is what he told us to refer to him as--hahahaand friends. His personality and sense of humor added to highlight of our trip and hope to return for another visit!!!! If only I could post all my photos, you would see how much fun we had!

Our group really enjoyed the Saona Crusoe VIP excursion. Ingrid, our guide, was very knowledgeable and engaged the tour party well. We made stops along the way in shallow waters to swim and enjoy a few beverages. The guided tour of Mano Juan village, visit to the turtle sanctuary, and snorkelling in beautiful beaches were all highlights of our trip. The catered lunch had ample options for vegetarians too. Highly recommended tour operator for their stellar experience and sustainability efforts.

This tour would get 10 stars if it would let me do that! This was by far my favorite excursion we took in the Dominican Republic. The company even picked us up from our resort which was 45 minutes away from where we took off. Ingrid our tour guide was just amazing. She knew so much information about the country. She spoke in like 4 different languages. The scenery you see when going to Saona Island is just remarkable. Photos dont even capture how blue the water is.

Great company, great service. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. So much better going on a small group than a large group off the cruise ship. If I go back to DR, will definitely go with Seavis Tours. By the way, food and run cake was delicious.

I did the Saona Crusoe VIP tour.PROS- speedboat (but be prepared for a bumpy/noisy ride)- smaller group than the usual tours (26 people)- good guide (Ingrid)- great alternative to the party boat tours- snorkeling is still a plus (dont expect to see lot of things)CONS- mostly aimed towards Dutch tourists (information are given in Dutch first)- expensive + lots of extra costs (transport, payment fees if paying through PayPal or other currencies than USD)- not a VIP experience as suggested in the title- food is averageOverall a good experience but it has its drawbacks. Be prepared to have a Dutch tourists oriented tour and ask for all the information you need regarding the pricing and payment methods prior to your booking.

We did the Saona Crusoe VIP tour. Id like to start by saying that Ingrid (your guide - there are two Ingrid, one being on the admin sideis a great tour guide and she will do her best to have you spending a great day.The tour itself is a good (if not the onlyalternative to most of the other boat tour to Saona Island that are mostly loud party boat tours. It is great that Seavis offers that alternative to people looking for something more quiet and laid back, with some history of the island and its inhabitants.However there are a few downsides that made my experience not as good as I had wished.First it is really important to note that the tour is mostly aimed towards Dutch tourists. The guide is Dutch and most of your group will be Dutch people. This should not be a problem but you will quickly feel like you are second zone guests as all the explanation are given first in Dutch, the guide will speak Dutch with them most of the time, you will be seated at the back of the boat to facilitate her work, etc. We were 6 people speaking English from the group (composed of 26 peopleand quickly felt that from the very beginning of the tour (an English tourist even mentioned it to the tour guide).The other downside to that tour is its price and the way the admin people handle this (payment, etc.). There is not really a VIP feel to the tour and it is to my opinion overpriced (USD 100when similar tour can be found for half that price. You will do it in a speedboat but apart from that everything is average (from the food to the experience). The admin people wont hesitate to charge you whenever they have a chance. For example if you are paying in Dominican Republic dollars they will charge you a different rate from the current one charging you dozen of additional US dollars. If you pay via Paypal they will charge you an extra 8% and the list goes on and on (extra USD 50 for transport for example). We ended paying a whopping USD 256 for 2 people.It is a great tour overall but those hickups really made the experience way worse than it couldve been and thats a shame cause the tour really has potential.I hope they will make it clearer in the future that the tour is mostly aimed towards Dutch tourists and will change their attitude towards money (especially since the tour is already on the expensive side).

Cruised off in a speedboat for a quick lunch on a private beach which was adequate. Then boarded the speedboat to go back to a sandbar where we relaxed and swam around. Seen some starfish and a few fish.

Ingrid the guide was an amazing guide & host..and all crew..had 1 hell of a day well never forget.

In 28th of June of 2019, was the second tour we did to Saona Island with Seavis Tours and once again it was fantastic.It was a great pleasure to see Ingrid (our guideand Jonathan the boat driver weve known since 2016.It was a very well spent day in a good company and once again the visit to the three wonderful beaches of Saona Island was superb.I would also like to highlight the great organization of the Seavis Tours team during the tour, the level of safety throughout the boat and the quality of the private lunch at their inscriptions on one of the amaizing beaches. Also to be highlighted is the great concern of Seavis Tours with the well being of the local communities of the Island and with the protection of the environment during the whole visit.I myself, my wife ande my 11 year old doughter were once again extremely satisfied with the day we spent on Saona Island and with the quality of the organization of the Seavis Tour since we made the reservation on internet to the last minut of the tour.Thanks Seavis Tours and see you soon.

The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Our guide and crew were very knowledgeable and super friendly. They are very good at what they do. As for the scenery, from a 1-10 I would rate it as a 20+ When we visit the DR again this trip will be a priority.Thanks for a memorable day !!!

My best friend and I booked our trip last minute and we absolutely loved it! Van was on time in picking us up. Friendly driver and felt very safe. We booked the Saona Crusoe VIP. Both Ingrid’s were great at making sure we got the best experience and knowledge of our adventures. Our photographer Carolina was exceptional. Our photos were amazing and received sooner than expected. Overall, great fun day tour. I will definitely be recommending it to all friends and family!

Great tours. Amazing guides. We went to Saona Island and absolutely loved It. It’s also great because they have have heir own turtle rescue centre and we saw baby turtles as well.

We really enjoyed that you got to see so many different things in a day and not feel rushed. The lunch was excellent and everyone we encountered on the tour was just so friendly. The rum and the rum cake in the ocean near the starfish was a nice touch. And thank you for stopping by the starfish even though they had moved on to cooler waters since it was December. The only thing I regret is not having $20 to get a massage at the beach!

Enjoyed every minute!! The tour guide was so good telling us about each place and the way she interacts with the local villages is awesome to watch! She was very passionate about the community and the animals. Youll really love all the beautiful colors of blue! The photo shoot is worth every penny so be sure to do that!

The Saona Island VIP tour was an incredible experience. It was paced appropriately, including stops to varying places of interest. We appreciated the opportunity to explore the island in an eco-friendly way, while experiencing the culture of the small town of Mano Juan. This is NOT a party boat like the others - be prepared for a small boat (25 people maxthat are similarly interested in eco-tourism and not hanging out with your bros drinking in the caribbean. If thats what youre looking for, tour with any of the other multitude of companies that go to Saona.

Our Saona tour was absolutely fantastic. Robert was a joy as a tour guide, my US family appreciated the English tour. Saona was wonderful as always! Couldnt be more satisfied! I also want to mention the photographer Alex who took beautiful pictures of all of us. I wouldnt hesitate booking him as a photographer for a picture session at the hotel!! Overall perfect experience!

It was a great experience. My daughter and her friend enjoyed it so much. The snorkeling was fun, and the tour of the village was an eye opening experience. Instead of feeling that the people of the village have so little, we left realizing how much they really have. What a simple way of life. We loved to see that the dogs on the island are so well loved and taken care of by the staff at Seavis.

After a terrible trip to Santo Domingo with another company, my wife and I, we decided to book two excursions with Seavis. We went to the Jungle Eco tour with Robert and to Saona island with Ingrid. Both guides were extremely friendly and helpful and provided lots of interesting information about the people, plants and animals living on the island. We had plenty of time to enjoy the activities organised, to just relax and, unlike the other company we tried, we were not forced to visit any shop to buy souvenirs.. If you speak English, German or Dutch and you are looking for extremely well organised excursions, Seavis is the company for you. As responsible travellers, we loved the fact that Seavis supports various conservation and community projects which we had the opportunity to visit during our excursions.We could not recommend Seavis strongly enough.
