Seasonal Tastes - Buffet restaurant in Gurgaon, India
Food is good but they don’t customise food.Like with burger in sides i told them to do veggies instead of french fries coz i’m diet conscious. Being too strict isn’t good for restaurant.Apart from this i found one server who was talking in a fun way like i’m his friend. I mean he should behave like a server infront of a guest, not like he is my friend.
Went to Seasonal Taste for lunch. The buffet had a good variety of food, however the salad spread was not up to the mark. The Indian, Continental and Chinese food was good. Was really surprised at the chaat counter. The chaat was also quite good. The best spread was the deserts. They had a good mix of excellent desserts.Overall was good, but missed a good salad spread. Highly recommend to try at least once.
Very bad service.. went for dinner in coffee shop.. foodand service not good .. prices little overpriced and service is so bad we had to wait for half an HR and after complaining there was no response.
Luved the experience on the last trip in Aug 22. There new chef has done wonders in improving the quality of food.Good going!!!
Always a varied & delicious spread of food here, but service can definitely be better - needs to be a little quicker!
Outstanding service! The staff takes care of every need. Met Abhishek, the manager and he and his staff have been very courteous. The food variety at the buffet is huge in any day.The Sunday brunch also is massive and everything tastes top notch.Excellent place to eat! I would say 5 stars is also less for this place.Kudos to the chefs and the service staff !
Went for Onam Sadhya on 10th Sep 2022. The Onam Sadhya by Chef Rekha Raghavan from 8th Sep to 10th Sep 2022 was widely publicized and circulated on social media. We went on the last day for probably the last meal of the festival. At the back of our mind, we thought that at the time of the closure of the festival, the standards and quality generally decline. But still considering a Mariott property, we gave it a go to Westin. To our utter surprise, our nightmares turned to reality. The service was absolutely dismal. For around 40 diners, there were 3-4 servers and majorly disorganized. Still Food can be a life saver but our hopes again went for a toss. The number of items served were way less than actually advertised. 16 items were served against the 26+ advertised. Even the rice served was stale and was foul smelling...Almost the entire meal served was cold.Had a very bad experience....We thought of the meal to be authentic and typical being from a Malyalee Chef but it turned out to be a disappointment. I would like the Hotel to improvise on this and take additional care of the specialized meals/ festivals ..
Had the buffet dinner here. Seafood spread was awesome!
Amazing experience.. Great food and ambience. Chefs are superb with high standards of quality food. Chef Vipin is Great and very good hospitality
Awesome good matching Indian taste buds which is unusual for a 5 star culinary.
Visited for dinner buffet, a lot of varities on veg menu..and I tried most of the dishes. Everything was good on taste
Its a nice restaurant. Had overall ok experience. The food taste is good. But I encountered some deterioration in service. In my last visit to the restaurant this july with prior appointment experienced poor service. After taking our seat waited for 15 mins and one attended us. Finally had to visit the counter and asked for taking order. While evaluating options available for buffet found housefly in the dahi bhalla informed the guy on counter he simply removed the fly with his hand(Needless to say he was wearing glovesand he got ready to serve. I was surprised to see this lax attitude towards high quality. A bit disappointed because we visit these places for best experience.
I went to Seasonal Tastes for dinner buffet on my birthday along with family. First of all, they denied for the Complimentary Cake (even though I am a member of Club Marriott since 2016). Moreover, the cakes laid out in the desserts section were not fresh. The Chocolate Cake was stale and the Cream of the Black-forest Cake had gone sour. The food and spreading were good, but the quality of the dessert section was unexpected and ruined the overall experience.
We were at Seasonal Tastes last week. The buffet spread was quite good but we were craving for mutton. Chef Isa Khan went an extra mile to prepare bhoona mutton for us. We liked it so much that we went again the next day and he pampered our taste buds with coriander mutton and tava chapati. It was gravy mutton with assorted chops and must say it was the best mutton I ever had outside home.
Amazing service, variety and choices. Though the Indian dessert section is not upto the mark. Rest all is 5star fine dine buffet.
Food was not matching the standards of this renowned hotel. Very ordinary in taste and presentation. Though the service was good and the staff is courteous yet they need genuine improvement in taste and menu selection. For this they should learn from their counterparts JWMarriott , Mussoorie.
Great buffet spread. .. some dishes r super .. most are ok .. but great lobby prob the best in ggn
Went for a buffet dinner, and it was a good experience,1. The place is great to sit in and have a chat with friends and family, it never felt crowded even at full capacity.2. The buffet spread is massive, amazing variety and options of cusines to choose from3.The food? Eh doesnt really equate to the price while the variety is great but i would have much rather have specialist chefs for each cuisine work at their own and only stall.4. THE DESERT, The absolute BEST desert i ever had and pair it with the massive variety it was heaven for sure.5. The service was great, whenever we finished a plate and went to get another we would come back to our tables cleared, the waiters would get us dishes when we asked for them, the waiters also felt at ease and not running here and there so it made the experience much better.6. THE AMBIANCE IS TOP QUALITY, after the dinner we sat there for an extra hour just to take it all in, we had a great time chatting and enjoying ourselves, the exclusivity of this place definitely plays a big role in keeping the place elegent and classy, we can always appreciate that.So to end it, Id say go to the place for an enormous amount of food and amazing desert and most importantly a great vibe, if thats not your forte and you just wanna have "amazing food" and other things arent that important, you can definitely find better places.
Post Covid the Sunday Buffett Breakfast has lost its charm, the spread has also reduced in variety
Had been to the restaurant for dinner. The place has a lavish spread with great presentation and excellent taste.Honestly there was so much that I couldnt even try the complete variety. With the comforting ambience, music, food and top notch service its a definite place to revisit.Special thanks to Manish Khantwal who provided great hospitality along with his team.
Very nice food in a courteous atmosphereGood service especial mention Ms Anjali and Prashant
Buffet was good, however, it would be better to have more live counters/items and specialize. (Too wide a spread makes it a challenge!)
The buffet spread was awesome, and the overall ambience is positive. The staff is very courteous. Its a great pick for a buffet dinner ... Will keep coming back here
The buffet spread has a lot of variety and dishes on the menu. But the taste is not what one would expect at a five star facility.
Big Buffet Dinner with vast varieties of cuisines, all yummy, Service is Good
Went there on the occasion of my anniversary, spreads were delicious and service was very good. Chefs were very humble and catered our request.Must visit place.
Overrated place. Not much variety in starter and main course. However dessert was good. Dont consider for any special occasion. No drinks are included in buffet. You have to buy separately.
Average buffet taste. Soup, Salads and desserts had good taste and variety but main course and starters were lacking taste and quality. Ambience was good
Love to stay at this place. Awesome food & peaceful ambience. Good quality of service. Nice experience
I went to Seasonal Tastes for their Sunday Brunch. The spread was quite good. The salad bar had a good variety of salad, both veg, and nonveg. They had potato salad, egg salad, shrimp salad and a lot more. They also had a cheese board along with a lot of dips. They have 2 types of soup, one veg and one non veg. The soup was served with a selection of breads and pita. They also had a chaat station with different chaats. The sushi was really good. They had 5 veg and 5 non veg sushis. The dessert bar also had a good variety with almond crunch cake being my favorite. However, the taste of most of the dishes was average.Overall, go here with a good appetite. Non-vegetarians will love the food, both in terms of variety and taste. The vegetarians might enjoy a few dishes as well.
The food was less than average.. I tried probably every dish present but none had that WOW factor. Chicken had a peculiar taste and smell probably it was out for a long time.Customer service was really good, as the staff was really helpful and cheerful.
I went to this place on 3rd Oct for a buffet brunch. Very excited because of the varieties available and the services plus it was my birthday weekend. The very first incident was as soon as I took a seat, a cockroach was inside the clean napkin placed on the table, I opened it to take out the cutlery and there was a little cockroach right there. The server was quick to notice and changed to set, the cutlery was greasy, the plate had a stain(clearly not cleaned properly). Finally when I scanned the menu, it turned out to be very different from what I had read in the menu I saw online. The Food was cold! Literally everything was cold! The pork belly was cold as hell and on speaking to the server the reply I got was Asian section the food is like this only. WHO SERVES COLD PORK FAT!! NOT THE FIRST TIME EATING IT!! It was the most non sensible thing I heard. The food tasted bland and had no flavours, people didn’t know what is part of al a cart and buffet, we were told that the Italian section was al a cart by the chef behind the counter, on asking the server he said only veg Italian is part of the buffet. So we ordered a white sauce mushroom pasta, 20m later when it arrived , it literally had 4-5 of bell pepper and that’s it! By the end of it I was so disappointed and disgusted, me and my friend just left with an empty stomach. We bought a coupon from Nearbuy so we had already paid. I spent 5k on a meal and had to leave hungry and absolutely disappointed on MY BIRTHDAY!Not to forget the lobster we ordered. We left after an hour of ordering this and it wasn’t even served.IM NEVER RECOMMENDING THIS PLACE TO ANYONE! AN ABSOLUTELY BAD EXPERIENCE!!
Poor service and horribly cold food most of dishes are not filled on time. Need to call many times to get service. Don’t bothered for customers. Absolutely NO GO place for food lovers. We have choose this restaurant because of good feedback but found not up to the for prices charged.
Enjoyed the Sunday brunch at Westin Gurgaon at their coffee shop Seasonal Tastes. The food and service was good. All COVID precautions were in place. Really enjoyed the time spent
The spread was really nyc ranging from Japanese,Sea food,Indian, continental. The option in starters & salad will make ur mouth drool.Dessert couldnt even be counted over finger & well decorated. Decoration & Hospitality was quite impressive.one should have plenty of time to enjoy the stumptown buffet. Personally i felt time get short😍
If you are a seafood lover then seasonal taste is the place for you. Wide spread seafood options are available along with Japanese sushi, Indian and continental cuisine. You will also find an Indian street food-chaat and pani puri counter here. Very professional staff and they are there to help you out. A long section of resturent is also dedicated for desserts, and you will find plenty of different options. Overall, it is worth a visit.
Went for Sunday brunch with family,Pros:1.Good options for non vegetarians as i could see(i am vegetarian so couldn’t really explore)2.The ambiance with live music was really lit3.good dessert spreadCons:1. You would think it’s 5 star hotel and staff would be apt, but services aren’t upto 5 star hotel at all2. We were told “they can’t serve omelette bcz it’s breakfast item and if we order it will be charged separately”, umm hello, brunch is literally breakfast +lunch and that’s what we were there for.3. There is no fixed menu for drinks with brunch buffet. The bartender was rude and We ordered virgin mojito and it was the worst, the bartender forgot to add sugar in it and i felt we were drinking mint lime plain water and that’s it. Despite telling it to server and returning the drink, it was counted under our drinks tab and apparently you can only order two drinks in one buffet cover. I wonder if they have same limit on eatables as well, “mam, you already took 200 grams rice, that’s all you can take under one person buffet cover”.4. Cheese spread was the worst, only two cheese types, not sliced finely and there was literally nothing to eat with cheese, no dry fruits and nuts, literally nothing.5. No fruit spread and no live salad counter.6. Pasta items are limited, i wanted to eat gnocchi and it wasn’t there.
Delicious Sunday brunch. Taste of Norway theme was mailed by chef Anirudh. Fresh and flavourful
Absolutely loved the experience. It is inside the Westin Hotel in Gurgaon (Haryana)..
Had my worst experience today at Seasonal Tastes Westin Gurgaon, which used to be my favourite. Cocktails presentation and taste both bad. Cucumber in salad was ripe, not worth eating. Butter served with bread basket was too hard to be spread.
Wow.....is what describes its lunch buffet tge best....I celebrated my bday brunch here on christmas...and the variety of food they had to offer was breathtaking....Well they had sushi...yum yumAnd live counters for pasta...Chinese, japanese, middle eastern continental,italian,indian...they had it all.....roast chicken and turkey too...well roasted to perfection and juicy ....You really need to try out their buffet.....You can thank me later....Im attaching the pics for you to drool overAnd what can i say about the desserts. Its your childhood dream come true...its like you entered the chocolate house from the popular fairytale."hansel and gretel"
Visited The Westin, Gurgaon, for a short stay. This place is right in the middle of the city but doesnt feel like it. Feels as if someone is very near to the nautre. Felt good with a peaceful getaway, this place has a bery pleasant ambience. The dining is again an experience of its own. The Seasonal Tastes has a verity of dishes and really yummy ones. The head chef, Mr. Shadab Qureshi has really great food to offer. Starting with the breakfast menu, with amazing and fulfilling bakery items, the fruit danish is to die for. The lunch and dinner menu is just mouthwatering. When it comes to the Awadhi cuisine, not many will disagree that Chef Sadab Qureshi is a name to reckon with! Hailing from Lucknow - the city of Nawabs, chef leverages his expertise of working with the khansamas and ustaads to bring to you a heritage cuisine, considered a culinary legacy by many. His knowledge of indigenous ingredients, authentic flavors, recipes, and techniques lends him a reputation that is second to none in the F&B industry.A few days ago, he curated The Royal Flavors of Awadh Chefs Table at Seasonal Tastes, The Westin Gurgaon. I was lucky to meet him and even taste a variety of decadent Awadhi delights that he had prepared like Bhuna Gosht Hussaini, Gilawat Ke Kebab, Nalli Nihari, Lahsoon Mirch Ka Jheenga, Murgh Makhani, Macchi ka Salaan, and more. There were a plethora of vegetarian options as well like Nimona Tikki, Subz Lifafa, Khumb Lazeez Handi, Subz-e-Gulfam, Lahsooni Palak, etc.Paired perfectly with an assortment of Indian breads like Bah Khummach, Taftan, and Gilafi Kulcha, the menu also featured a sumptuous array of shorbas, biryanis, tikkas, and desserts from the land of Nawabs - highlighting, in essence, the chefs culinary prowess.Glad to spend my days here. Would definitely recommend this one to friends and family.
I think it’s high time that they shut this property as the meaning of hospitality has been forgotten.I am hating myself to allow this excruciating pain to be borne by me and family post my lousy experience in 2017.Just came out suffering through a devastating buffet with a super lousy service both in food quality and hospitality. The menu was limited to a street food vendor menu with one salad, one desert and minimalistic choices, which is still OK if you have the COVID card on play but the quality and service was abysmal.I am attaching image of pasta in pink sauce and a mint chutney which only had one thing in common : Water. Maybe the chef believes that Haryana water is great tasting and just by adding it, he is serving a master piece.I hope that COVID will surely take them to their logical conclusion as I have lost any expectations from this property.
It has a warm hospitality and ambiance with quite a variety of continental and multi cuisine dishes. Bit busy during 1 to 2 as most of the timed corporates book it for conferences.
Quite place , not like other Buffet. Decorations and service was outstanding, food quality is good, if you are pure vegetarian, then u might not like options you would have, but yes a chicken lover would be happy to know that, they got very tasty non-veg starters and main course. N in chaat section they have dahi-bhalla, Chaat papdi, bhelpuri, n gol gappe. And restro is quite nice n good if u r looking for some place for meeting + lunch kindaa place.
December at the Westin means Christmas decorations have started to be displayed, which is a delight living far away from North American holiday over-enthusiasm. While our family had grown somewhat tired of the Sunday Brunch options after visiting too frequently (and longing for the fresh seafood barbeque event once it had passed), Seasonal Tastes for breakfast has an excellent selection of Western and Indian options, at a much more reasonable price. The variety of seasonal salads, fresh fruit (highlights yesterday were persimmons, fresh pineapple and really sweet and fresh strawberries), variety of cheeses, smoked salmon (a family favouriteas well as standard hotel breakfast fare (eggs to order, fresh chicken and pork sausages, fresh juices, fresh made pancakes and muffins, and dosas with a WIDE variety of chutneys Im still working my way throughmean more options than we could possibly eat, when we start our day (so our whole Sunday doesnt get swallowed upand a much smaller crowd of people so that dining is more relaxed and enjoyable overall. The Westin remains a faithful standby for us, but breakfast is quickly becoming my favourite meal of the day there. Two challenges I would like to see addressed (and a minor note):- my son LOVES cereal for breakfast, especially the chocoflakes because we dont keep them at home, but the cereal display was very awkward and too high for a child to serve themselves - at the very least the child-favourite chocoflakes should have been on the lower level and preferably, cereal would be set up so kids can take care of themselves without parental assistance (it leaves them feeling confident and independent and means parents can get their own meals at the same time).- the air quality, especially PM 2.5 levels, were really high, as high as if we were outside. While we will be eating, and cooking fumes contribute, I wish more hotels and restaurants and public spaces would think about ways they can provide cleaner air to customers when conditions in the NCR in winter are apocalyptically hazardous.- I loved the fresh juice dispensers and the quality of the fresh juice was wonderful, but I had to laugh that the chalk displays were ignored (they always look super cool when used and classier than little label cards)Always love a weekend visit to the Westin, and hope we can continue to enjoy (just look at that pancake smile! Thank you pastry chef!)
Delicious buffet nice staff and deserts are mouthwatering. Veg non veg starter and main course both are top quality food. They serve alcohol as well.
Nice buffet, I like how dishes was prepared and love their special presentation for mothers day
Very good ambience and food. Must try if you love continental food.
Absolutely lovely ambiance, lavish buffet spread, personal attention by the restaurant chef was impressive.
