Wir haben in einem kleinen Häuschen direkt am Meer gelebt und konnten nachts das Meer rauschen hören. Die Häuschen sind einfach ausgestattet aber man hat alles, was man braucht (Handtücher, Bettwäsche, Klimaanlage, Fernseher…). Das Personal ist sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Wer sich für dieses Hostel entscheidet sollte jedoch berücksichtigen, dass man ein Auto braucht um in die Innenstadt von Portobelo zu gelangen, da sie wegen einer Schnellstraße nicht fussläufig zu erreichen ist. Eine Taxifahrt kostet 3-5$. Wir sind täglich zum Essen in die Innenstadt gefahren. Das hostel hat einen Salzwasserpool, einen Steg und eine Aussichtsplattform. Sie bieten verschiedene Touren an und Equipment wie Kajaks und Schnorchelsets können ausgeliehen werden.

The place is nice and the staff very kind. But we suppose to start at 830 and 2 hours later we were still waiting.

Me gusto el lugar, la isla es pequeña pero cómoda..

Muy mal servicio y las habitaciones muy sucias. La "atencion" al cliente no existe. Muy caro. No lo recomiendo. Se corta la luz, el wifi no anda.

Fabulous staff

Es un lugar bello con una vista espectacular , las cabañas bien aseadas y con los servicios básicos , agua caliente , hamaca para guindar, si me pareció malo el servicio del restaurante puesto que pedimos un café y teníamos.que tomarlo en las mesas de allí porque no permitían llevarlo a la cabaña, cuando fuimos a pedir desayuno nos dijeron que ya no había nada y nos quedamos sin desayuno ( no cuentan con el abastecimiento suficiente para el No de huéspedes , Cuentan con un kiosko alto tipo mirador bastante descuidado y está muy bien ubicado pero lo único que había allí era un mesa vieja y dos sillas. Recomiendo que no dejen comida en la habitación se llena exagerado de hormigas hasta en la cama ( nos pasó y eso que no dejamos nada de comidahabían muchas y grandes!!!

Great place to snorkel.

Es lamentable el servicio. Te limpian la habitación y cuando volvemos a la tarde la llave colgada de la cerradura como para que alguien entre. Te dicen que tienen restaurante y 2 días a la semana no trabajan. Arrancan a las 8hs y para que te den agua caliente es un desafío. Otro día cuando ya había aceitado el tema del agua caliente, la cocina estaba cerrada porque no tenía gas la garrafa. Una mañana no había agua. No tiene placard para la ropa ni perchero ni nada. No tiene ni siquiera los catres para las valijas usamos una mesa de luz y nos trajeron una mesa del bar para la otra valija. El WiFi terrible. Ahora hay que destacar dos cosas, primero es la predisposición de Alexis para salvar las ineficiencias del lugar que gracias a su esfuerzo logro confortarnos y hacer mejor nuestra estancia y en segundo término el lugar está bueno.

The room was dirty. No hot water during our stay and no one wanted to repair it. The credit card machine doesn’t work when it’s cloudy, another good excuse to make you pay everything in cash when the one ATM charges you fees. The personnel was rude

Playa tranquila y buena área para estar con tu familia y parkear

Hermoso lugar, las cabañas super cómodas y todas con vista al mar, pequeña piscina de agua salada, muy buena atención del personal, y la comida muy rica. De seguro regresamos.

Stayed for one night with my husband and two small kids (ages 4 and 6). Simple and comfortable hotel rooms, a small pool for the kids, and great access to a simple reef for snorkeling. The location is perfect for stand up paddling and kayaking. We found the service to be mostly non-existent and decided not to try the restaurant because of that. Breakfast was served more than an hour late and was extremely lacking in options (only tortilla or holjadra with chorizo), which was blamed on the late arrival of the jefe. We will definitely give it another try - next time for a day trip to their private island.

Perfect location and food. They have own white beach, all rooms are with sea views. And tea is with real cinnamon😍

Excelente, acogedor, buena atención la comida deliciosa, mucho sabor caribeño, auténtico de nuestras costas.Lo recomiendo, buen lugar para salir del área urbana, respirar aire puro y de cero estrés.

Beautifull area. Great views. Nice private beach. Great scuba diving. Only bad thing is the maintenance they do on their pangas.

Me encantó.bello lugar muy familiar,tranquilo excelente la playa para niños, y también actividades de adultos. El lugar muy limpio e igual las de cámaras. Los apartamentos en alto tienen hermosa vista

Best place to dive

I cannot recommend this place to anyone staying in Portobelo. I have been to remote locations but the service here has been unacceptable.Cons:1.No hot water although they advertise hot water2.Water stops running frequently. I had to change rooms and even then, the water wasnt running in the middle of using the bathroom.3.Loud construction noise in the morning4.Barely any plugs in both rooms I stayed in.5.Rooms not cleaned well.No breakfast on site.There are plenty of other hotels in the area. Dont rough it if you dont have to.

Diversos tipos de hospedaje (cabañas, habitaciones y cuartos compartidoscuentan con un restaurante (pequeñopero suficiente para darle una opción a los huéspedes. Tienen kayak para alquilar, al igual que todo el equipo de buceo.

La isla es bastante pequeña pero lo suficientemente cálida como para pasar un excelente día en familia y/o amigos. Aguas cálidas, sillas cómodas y a dos minutos del muelle. Si vas entre semana puede que la isla sea para ti solo. El punto fuerte del lugar es poder hacer snorkel y disfrutar del coral que está frente a la isla.

Es uno de mis lugares favoritos, es perfecto para los niños porque la playa es tranquila y no es profunda. Las sillas son cómodas y puedes descansar bajo los árboles. Es fantástico. Me encanta.

It is a nice place, a little rustic. Food is not that good, have to wait a lot of time, but people are very nice if youre on the diving plan. If youre going just for the dive, and gears, and boat trip, its good.

Very rustic and run-down place. Not that cheap either - neither the rooms nor the food. The private island is not that nice either. It’s basically a few minutes by boat and a very small bank with some chairs.

it was neat place to dive, the local team is very nice and helpful. we had seen some nice things but the water visibility is 3-5 meters.

Es un lugar muy bonito, excelente para compartir en familia o en pareja. Son muy amables, hay cabañas con todo lo necesario para disfrutar el fin de semana. Puedes comer en el local o llevar tus cosas para prepararte dentro de la cabaña que rentes. Es muy cerca de portobolelo y como a 40 minutos de cacique que es un puerto para cruzar a la isla Mamey.

Excellent service. The guide speaks fluent English. We took the tour, where they take you by boat to two different snorkel areas. The total tour took 1:30 and is well worth it. The equipment was clean and in very good condition. This is a great day trip from Panamá City, plus you get to see the ruins of the Portobello Fort.

I was disappointed at the service. They can do much better than what they did. We had a problem with the cottage we rented to spend the night and the bathroom got clogged and badly overflowed. We had to leave the place late at night. Just got the money back but no remorse whatsoever from the manager and not even an effort to get us back in the future.

Nice Service, good people. Scuba area is good visibility is not to clear in April.Equipment in good shape. Recomeded

Perfect beach

Nice quiet spot close to Portobelo for a quiet out of the way vacation. Our room was clean and air-conditioned, comfortable for 4 and very reasonably priced. Restaurant isnt open much mid week so plan on eating out. Staff was helpful and friendly. Snorkeling rentals available all week, and scuba Wednesday-Sunday. The kids loved snorkeling in the shallows and we got to read and enjoy the sunset watching them.

Spent the weekend with my family in La isla del tesoro that is an island that belongs to Scubaportobelo, it was lovely place with a nice beach to swim and sunbathe.

Es un lugar bonito y con muchas actividades, pero en la cabaña que me quede había cucarachas en el baño y el inodoro la palanca no tenia, por 77 dólares deberían darle mantenimiento más seguido al lugar... Todo lo demás muy bien.... Si arreglan esos puntos seria un lugar perfecto.
