Scruffy's Irish Pub - Irish pub in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen, Germany
Scruffy's Irish Pub in Eggenstein-Leopoldshafen
Description
Really good atmosphere, very friendly and fast staff.Prices could be a tad bit lower, but I guess the rent for this location is steep. We didnt have any food, so I cant say anything about that.Clean but not so clean as to rob it of its pub vibe. Nice selection of beers, especially ales. The Cider is great too.Tuesdays and Saturdays is live music with open mic!
MoreVery nice pub. A must go if youre in Karlsruhe.
Great live music and atmosphere. If you are looking to drink some beer and have a chat with some random people this is a great place.
MoreFirst time there. Amazing vibe. Owner is a Gem.
People there are very welcoming there Guinness is just as good as Dublin which I have visited many times. Would recommend this place for a pint if you are in the area.
MoreWe had a great evening with live Irish music.
Very nice pub with good access and beer

MoreGood place to hear music, and drink with friends...
They had cider, which is rare in this part of Europe. The back of the pub was well air conditioned and prices were very reasonable. It was an Irish pub with continual Irish live music which is not really my thing and it seemed to be a haven for tattooed people with nose rings and such - also not my thing. That said everyone was very friendly, children were playing soccer in the front AND they were the only place we could find to watch the womens European final which was brilliant...
MorePleasant ambience. Good music and quality drinks. Best for hanging out with friends.
Moreyour local go to irish pub with great insides and great beers on tap;. very friendly waiter .. what else i can say.. guiness and go
MoreSuper atmosphere - quite cosy and dim light. The chess game was a great cherry on top :)
MoreNice atmosphere with the glass of my favourite Kilkenny
nice location an always a good experience so far...the only downside is, that it is really expensive
MoreTop place
NOT A REAL IRISH PUB,,,I just arrived from Ireland I put in Irish pub in to Google and this pub came up , there was six of us just left the hotel , We did not have any alcohol , when I arrived to the door There was a man standing there that said he was the boss And he was dressed like a hippy and asked us for our Covid-19 Certs so I gave them to him , then he asked us for our passports and I gave them to him and he still kept looking at us like we where all from a different world , so I asked him was there a problem then he asked me where I am from I told him we are from Ireland and as this is an Irish pub I would like to know what is the problem he told me it would be better if I was from Germany omg , we where all in our late 40s so it’s not they we where Teenagers , I have never came across a place like this , it’s 2022 and it’s Europe so said
MoreThe bartender is the friendliest bartender that Ive met! The bar also has more than 10 types of beer on taps, the perfect place to go to if youre looking for your different than usual beer
MoreNot the best pint. Was really looking forward to a nice creamy pint but it was acidic, not creamy. My subjective opinion- maybe it was an old barrel or they pressured it with CO2 instead of nitrogen or something. Live music with a gravel voiced twin of ronnie drew. Fair play to him but there isnt much variation and theres only so much ooirish I can handle in one go. Would be nice to have a bit of folk music.
MoreThanks God, Karlsruhe has a bar like thatGreat Atmosphere. Great people
Lovely bar with live music, great drinks and friendly people
Excellent service, massive choice of whiskeys, and great staff.
Great local bar to visit with friends.Decently sized drinks and very good prices.Bathrooms are usually clean.Live music available on some nights.Great service! Basti made our experience really enjoyable every time we visit.English friendly, but also a good place to practice your German :)
MoreOriginal Irish Pub. Bar service like in Ireland.Very good Corona-concept. Sanitizer, tracking sheets in a safe box, "bar windows",...Apart from Corona, really cool gigs and the best quiz night in town every Thursday.Give it a go and have a pint or three.
MoreGreat pub! Good beer, great selection of whiskys and brilliant stuff.Live music every Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday. Not during corona of course, but its coming back soon!!
MoreBeware!! After many years of painstaking research, I can confirm that there is indeed a black hole on planet earth. Only the few brave and strong willed souls amongst us should dare to venture to this place.True enough that there maybe music, merriment and cheer, but therein lurks a hidden treasure, the quest for which has cost many a brave explorer their sanity. Some may even profess to have found the ultimate source of joy and happiness in an otherwise dull and unfriendly city of zombies with law degrees, but as the eagles discovered during their quest in California, you can check out any time you like.... But you can never leaveCue guitar solo..
MoreYou want a dark but cozy pub?You want Kilkenny rather than Guinness? (They acutally sell both)You want live music and no cell-phone reception? This place has it all.Visit Scruffys, make it your home and good memories are a guarantee.Getting drunk here since 2010.
MoreAwesome Staff, awesome Music and pretty much everything you would want out of an Irish Pub. Excellent location for English speakers visiting Karlsruhe!
MoreBest place on earth. Highly recommend it at any time of the day and year. Good pints, amazing ambience and most amazing live bands
MoreIm usually there on Tuesdays cause there is open mic and I love the house band plus i get to play and sing sometimes. Also in this pub Guinness has a taste!
MoreOne of my favourite places in Karlsruhe. It is a real Irish pub unlike most bars and pubs around. If you want to sit down, grab some beers and just drink, listen to good music and have fun this is definitely a place to visit!
MoreGreat cave-like atmosphere to drink a Guinness in. Bar staff is among the best and there are always plenty of events and live music going on. Worth checking out.
MoreCool place occasionally with live music, great staff and service, friendly and fun people, great beers and brilliant whiskey selection. A must visit pub in Karlsruhe.
MoreThe place is just awesome. I had some great times there while I was living in the city. You have good beer with a fair price. Once in a while you also get to hear some really good song and other different shows. The place can sometimes be really crowded, so youd better get there soon or reserve a table. I wish I can visit the place another time to have some nostalgic feelings. Perhaps I will. It is unfortunately very small, but you dont need much space to enjoy it.
MoreAll sorts of live music, very nice bartenders and great choice of drink plus very international.Great for expats too!
MoreGreat Irish Pub, I just love the atmosphere here. Also the drinks (beer/cider/whiskey/etc.are very good. On the weekends they are usually playing live music. 10/10 would recommend
MoreGreat Pub. very nice People. Good Live Music and tasty Guinness.
A lovely, little pub wherd live music is played daily, mostly irish folk. Even tho you should be speaking at least a bit of english. I love to go there and often meet new people there because everyone is so friendly and also a little drunk.
MoreBeer is good, poured generously. Keep an eye on your belongings. Someone tried to steal my backpack just from in front of me. Be cautious.
MoreGreat place to be...I just love the deco
Great Pub, lovely Service. English speaking as well in case youre looking for that. And they have something to look forward to every day of the week :)
MoreDark but cozy Irish pub in the center of Karlsruhe. I really like the location and have frequently visited it especially for the famous pub quiz. Beer is as good as youd expect, service is friendly. I would love to see them working on their snack/food variety, but as its all about the beer and the charming Irish atmosphere, thats not so much of a downturn.
MoreLive music is good, but some of the whiskies at menu are not available.
Best pub Ive been too since I moved to Germany. Lovely bar staff, great crowd, great drinks. Cant wait to come back.
MoreBest Irish Pub in town! This is one of the best irish pub I have ever been to in Germany. I went there on a Tuesday when there was some amazing Live music. The place is a bit small, and gets crowded really fast. The staff speaks real good English! Although they didnt have Murphy Stout, the beer I wanted, you can order a Guinness (apart from few othershere. The beer is somewhat expensive for 5€ a pint! But the sad part was that they charged 5,50€ (which isnt mentioned anywhere in the Drinks Menufor the beer once the Live music started. Hence one less star!!
MoreYou can listen good irish/rock/metal music while you sip from your Guinness. Smoking is allowed in front of the pub. The pub is a little dark, and furnished with dark wooden tables and branches. Deep inside you can find a few cozy sofa, armchair. The staff is nice they speak English beside of German.
MoreGood atmosphere and great vibe with awesome live music. Only downside is the size (as it is quite small and can be a bit crampedand the prices. Otherwise, a great place to kick back, relax and have a good time.
MoreSimply awesome. The best pub for music and craic you can find. Great service, courteous staff, tasty drinks, brilliant music.
MoreFor me the best pub in all of Karlsruhe. The guys behind the bar are amazing, especially the Maori dude. Live performances rock, bands are great, even a former band member of the Pogues plays there sometimes. I go there often and never have regretted it!
MoreThe finest Irish pub in the city, run by the inimitable, irrepressible and sometimes incomprehensible dreadlocked Howth scamp that is Paul "Scruffy" Burke. More genuine atmosphere than most pubs in Ireland. Many enter but few leave (until the wee hours). Thursdays is quiz night - Tell Charlotte Dave said hi!
