The place is very traditional and cozy. But there is only one person working outside and therefore she’s super busy. So she’s very very nice.The coffee and food are ok but just average. You could find much better places in Rome.

Popular place, quite crowded for breakfast, with many tourists. I didnt like the cappuccino and not even the cornetto. The price for a breakfast consumed while sitting outside is more than 4€, double price compared to the average, even more insane if the quality of food is taken into consideration.

We visited this place twice. We had the best Tiramisù in whole Rome and trust me we tried plenty of them. I highly recommend this place for coffee and dessert.

Great coffee and good food, with a broad selection of chocolate, coffee beans and other local produce, but the staff seemed a little out of touch and mostly absorbed by catering to the locals. I guess it pays to be Italian.

The pastries and coffee are delicious, also their coffee manu has a lot of options.The coffee bar is a great experience if you already know how it works and if you speak Italian otherwise it could be a little bit confuse but nothing terrible.

My husband said this was the best coffee in rome hands down! I must admit this place is a bit of an upmarket place but its a must try! I found they sold tea here too which is a bonus. The outside eating area was pleasant and its situated on a very nice street. The staff here were exceptional. Sciatica is an experience for sure!

I came here because of the good reviews.Now here is my experience about this café.The coffee and the bakery except the croissants were not bad but the way that I was charged extra for something that I didn’t order was the turning point.It doesn’t matter how busy you are but it’s not tolerable.If I didn’t check the bill properly I would have spend too much money here. As a guest I should not be doubting about these kind of things.Note: The waitress’s service was great.

Ive read dozens of positive opinions about this place, so we went out of our way to check it out.Espresso with chocolate and rum is a tasty mix, try it out. Smoothies are decent. The staff is attentive and has communicative English.Theres not a lot of space to sit inside, but you dont need much for coffee. They have a shop with their coffee and other things.After trying espressos I went for a cappuccino and it came lukewarm at best, the aroma was sub par to other random cappuccinos i had around rome. In fact, it shocked me so much that it triggered me to write this review. Especially given the price.The place has a nice mood, its just not the holy grail of Italian coffee the comments seem to make of it.The bill had some interesting positions, like 1.50e for 50cl of water, which maybe was the 3 100ml cups we got with our 20ml espressos.

Fantastic way to start our Rome trip. Had lots of fun trying their experimental coffees and the price is not bad! I ordered the delicious prestige which is on the sweet side as it has a dollop of chocolate and my partner got the shaken coffee which was refreshing, light and had great acidic flavour.It has a very cute interior too!

If you are visiting the Vatican, this is the place to get your morning started. the coffee was great, and the toasts are to die for (get the one with the mozzarella and cicoria). Prices are fair for the food, definitely would visit again.

If you are looking for a top quality Italian style breakfast in a traditional Roman bar just a stones throw from the Vatican, well this is the place. Fast, friendly service and excellent coffee and a variety of excellent sweet pastries and savouries. A perfect way to start the day.

The best bar in Prati. They pull a perfect espresso shot and have delicious cornetti as well. I went here every morning on my recent trip.

Sciascia is one of the go-to places each time Im in Rome. The spirit of the venue, the handsome baristas and the opportunity to add a little something extra to your cup of coffee are always essential factors when walking towards this place. Im a bit sad they removed the tables in front of the bar, it was pure pleasure to watch the baristas prepare all the beverages and chitchat with the customers. However, the outdoor seating is cool too.

Ok, this has been the best coffee I have had in my life! The subtle dark chocolate tones and the smooth texture are heavenly. A must must try.

The pastries were good - the one with ricotta and chocolate was amazing! Paired with really good coffee made a perfect breakfast.Yet, the staff wasn’t the best - we felt like a burden for our waiter which wasn’t the nicest experience. Not sure if I come back to sit and savour the morning in Rome. Maybe just for take-out.

This is a café in the truest sense of it.They have a large choice of coffees, hot drinks and sweets/pastries, a very enjoyable terrace, the service was very nice eventhough the waitress had trouble with English and all in all affordable.Coffee was the best we had in Rome and the hot cocoa was great, extremely rich and not too sweet.Would come again for sure!

Lost in translation a bit but I got caffè con cioccolato with espresso(€2.20in it instead of caffe con ciocaltta(~€1and espresso(€1.20separate.Then I wanted espresso pregiato but thought it was a better espresso instead espresso panna cotta style(cream,espresso,chocolateat least the cream wasnt with sugar. It was good but still I just wanted espresso classic.Mom and Dad got Mimosa and Long Island Tea.Ill come back tomorrow probably, just for the classics.Paid €30.60 when I just wanted espresso pregiatto for €1,20 not caffe gran ciocolatto for €4.50 each.

The staff are very kind, and the products are great! We had iced coffee(sweetand it was amazing. It can be hard to find “iced coffee” that doesn’t have a lingering bitter taste in Italy, but this was perfect! I highly recommend!

Best cup of soy cappuccino I had in Italy. The milk was smooth and creamy and the coffee well balanced. This little cafe was very busy and the baristas churn out coffee like clockwork. I had my coffee by the bar and it was 3 euros. I thought it was a little expensive. They also sell some gourmet chocolates and candy. Wished I had discovered this place earlier during our trip, would have loved another cup!

If only I could take this coffee shop home with me. We stumbled across this Sciascia last year while in Rome and when we found out we would be returning to Rome again this fall we added Sciascia to the itinerary for EVERY morning while in Rome. Even if it meant getting less sleep, we were there every morning. The coffee is fabulous, the pastries are fresh and delicious (the croissant with marmalade is our favorite), and the ambiance is perfection. Get there early and youll have a relaxing experience with a place to sit down and sip your coffee slowly. Get there during the hustle and bustle and you might be forced to chug your cappuccino at the counter, Italian style. If a slower pace is more your jam, I highly suggest stopping in when it is busy, just once. The men behind the counter are like a well oiled machine. The way they whip up the plethora of drinks is like an art. I love to just sit (or standand watch them. A coffee shop thats been around 100 years truly has something special and will forever be one of my fondest memories of Rome.

Beautiful, typical Italian coffee shop. Ideal place to try excellent espresso, tiny dolce and see how Italians celebrate coffee. Not expensive. I will pop in next time, every time I am in Rome.

Wonderful old fashioned coffeeshop also selling their own coffee varieties, chocolates and all the usual delights ! Very friendly staff, kindly advising your choice of mokka coffee beans from strong to dolce etc. If you are in the area, this is certainly a place to get a good coffee and relax in one of the few tables in this cosy place.

First, i like to see all the actions going on in the cafe. After me, the crowd came non stop, peoplecrowding the counter to grab their coffee. Some stay at the counter to enjoy their cuppa and leave. The man says to me. 1st , order the coffee first, then the pastries. That time, i dont see many choices of pastriea, but definately had chosen the pastry of my life. Custard pastry with chocolate. I dont find it anywhere i went and live. I will always remember this cafe.So i choose to sit just front of the counter and see the scene for once in my lifetime. Dont have that where i lived. I loved Sciascia Cafe! They were super flexible and open to making me a vegan sandwich when I told them I was a vegetarian. Great service and a warm atmosphere. Super delicious paninis and cappuccinos. I would definitely recommend a visit to this delightful cafe while you visit the Vatican
