Schängel Fountain in Koblenz

Ich wohne im Bereich Koblenz daher schon lange bekannt. Ein " muss" für Touristen und Besucher. Lasst Euch ruhig mal nass spritzen 💉.....👍😉

Wieder einmal Spaziergang durch die koblenzer Altstadt. Der Schängelbrunnen ist dabei ein MUSS. Die ruhige Atmosphäre lädt zum verweilen ein. Wenn dann noch ein Strassenmusikannt spielt kann man die Seele ein wenig baumeln lassen. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Heerlijk gezeten,op een prachtig pleinmet mooie gebouwen met gitarist en met ontzettend vriendelijke muziek,binnen een mooie zaak met vriendelijke bediening,en lekkere verse taarten en broodjes...het totaal plaatje was echt vakantie gevoel😍

Interesting statue to see when you’re in Koblenz.Sometimes a little bit overcrowded with tourists but if you wait a moment you can take good pictures.

Schangel Fountain & bronze boy statue created by Carl Burger in 1940 celebrating local poet Josef Cornelius. The kids would love it to sync the timing of the fountain.

This was the meeting place for our guided tour to meet back up after a few minutes browsing the area. Beautiful!!

Make sure to stay back because this little devil will splash you with some water from his mouth. Its located right in the heart of Koblenz. Lots of nice restaurants, bars, and ice cream shops. Beautiful city.

Very cool fountain, he spits every 90 seconds (at least in summer season), we counted ;)

Its a fountain! It looks like a very naughty boy, who spits (thats why, a fountain), every 2 minutes. Ages ago, the name Schängel was used as an insult, for the children born to French & German mixed parentage!!! Not anymore, now its used with pride by the residents of Koblenz!!!

This was the place I used to come when I was a teenager.

i loved this fountain. Actually it is built in the memory of a boy who was very crazy and naughty. And surprising thing is that when u stand in front of it at a distance it will throw water out of its mouth

Beautiful square and lovely christmas markets

So very busy, but magically Christmas. Clean toilet facilities available. 50 cents to use. Easy to read signage. The stall holders for the Advent markets are friendly and most are able to speak English.

A cute surprise- happened past- I was tempted by the boy’s perky face but instinctively stepped aside from the wet patch - as I snapped a photo- suddenly a spurt of water from his mouth- whoa !We checked for a movement sensor but decided it’s probably timed. Very cute if you don’t expect it!
