Picturesque site on Hood Canal with boating, campsites, a playground & rhododendron gardens.
I love the place. Nice and amazing views and I loved the trees too (nature)
What an awesome amazing place!! Great camping and day park. Nice beach and amazing views of the Olympics. Must see!!
Quite and nice picnic and campfire area but not much of a view unless you go down at beach. The views there is absolutely phenomenal with Olympics range. You can see 16 shades off grey on 7 rows of mountains. The beach is pebble beach. Water is quite enough for swimming or paddle boarding.
Beautiful park, well maintained and perfect setting for a wiener roast by the ocean.
A quick get away near home :there was a snake in the bush close to walking trail so be careful! Nice and relaxing when less people lol.
Beautiful park mostly clear of underbrush. Very private camp sites. Not wheelchair accessible!
Theres so much to explore and see i love coming here.❤️its so beautiful to come here its quiet
Went on a little hike with my dog. The park is super quiet and peaceful. I ran into a few people (4-5while exploring the place. I didn’t realize that the park allowed overnight camping, so that is something I will definitely be back for.
We had a run in with the ranger at our friends wedding. He ran out of his vehicle cursing and screaming. It was a simple misunderstanding of a vehicle on the grass and the ranger approached it in a very hostile manner. Hopefully the park will get a new ranger
We’ve camped here twice with our toddler (now preschoolerand it is quick becoming a family favorite campground. The campsites have much more privacy than the usual campground, with tall brush and trees surrounding most of the sites so you don’t see your neighbors. Several have good locations to hang your hammock. Each campsite is raked clean between campers and they do a good job of maintaining the restrooms etc. There are a couple different playgrounds on site that are pretty dated and in need of new wood chips to cushion falls. Staff was very friendly. Beach access is a short downhill walk on a trail from the campground. The last section to the beach is a little tricky with a kayak but doable. Gorgeous views!
This place is absolutely stunning. Open grass to play games or relax, a swimming beach. Trails to walk. Grills and tables. Volleyball net. This place has it all. The view of the Olympic mountains always takes my breath away. I will come back here many more times. If you like camping there is also places to set up tents snd more.
Beautiful State Park. Camping sites are hit and miss on size, the park is great for kids, the views are gorgeous 😍
Lives up to its name. A little bit of a meander through scenic Seabeck to get to but worth the trip. Day use or park pass required. Playground, restrooms, campground, picnic area, group shelter, and even volleyball net. Path down to the water a little uneven but a fair amount of space to spread out on until the tide comes in. Rocky beach and water so sandals or water shoes recommended. Duck under the trees that have come down into the water for more beach access. Kayaks, SUPs, and small inflatables welcome. Scenic panoramic views.
Love the new staff many new people on the crew but all friendly and very happy people, and helpful. Needed to use the shower facilities as we are having the water hooked up still on our property. Found out there are day use showers (not just the ones for the camperswithin the actual park area in bathrooms nearest to playground. the showers take a moment once the first token (avail for purchase at the entrance of parkis deposited but I took a $4 shower lol It had great water pressure except of course when someone in the restroom would flush and the water stayed hot the entire time. The shower curtain however wasnt the greatest but I had my own with me for this very reason. Just attached it to the rings the other one was on and viola it was good to go. Btw tokens are 2/$1 and each token is 3 mins. No showers allowed after 10pm.
Great campground. Clean, quiet, private. Short walk to rocky Beach with Olympic mountain views
Camped two nights here and overall was a great experience. Clean restrooms, coin operated showers, quiet camping with large spots, and a great place for a swim or views. Unfortunately someone stole our firewood while we were gone for a bit, so be sure to store somewhere safe.
Beautiful facility, quiet campsites surrounded by trees that create privacy between camps.
Enjoyed our camping trip, nice large sites with plenty of privacy/woods between sites. Will go again.
Absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful views. It was fun watching all the tiny crabs play in the water.Returned a year later on a drizzly day. The water level was much higher, and we didnt find the fun little crabs. Even shrouded in clouds, it a s beautiful view.Easy walk to shoreline.
Easy access beach with great views of the sound. They have a lot of nice picnic spots and tables here for a full day out
We love this park! It is beautiful, the camp sites are clean and nice. Its a wonderful place. There are playgrounds and restrooms throughout the park.
We always look forward to swimming here during the hot weather. The water is clear and not as freezing as any other beaches I’ve been so far.
We didnt get to explore much but what we saw was beautiful
Love this place and nice facilities. Epic views of Hood Canal. Only drawback is camping is on a fairly steep slope. Real nice campsites just a little tough of a hike from the beach for older folks. Tons of parking down by the day use area and accessible trails down to the beach
Small park, make sure to go down to the beach.
Well worth a visit for the quintessential Pacific Northwest beach walk, forest bathing and water gazing.$30 for a one year state parks pass or $10 for single day use. Head to parking lot for automated machine to pay. Clean restrooms. Picnic areas. Some paths will require strong legs and attention to uneven or unstable surfaces (think stray rocks, shifted root systems, even discarded oyster shells). Some folks hike their kayaks down and launch from the beach. Others bring buzzy drones that fracture the quiet. It will depend on the day and the weather who is visiting and what activities are going on with each set of visitors. Check tide tables and know that only during low tide will there be a lot of beach trekking. Of course, even at high tide, you can still enjoy the water, tall trees, twinkling brooklets and an occasional glimpse of eagles. Truly a lovely place!
Great place to camp and short walk to the water. Loved it
Scenic Beach state park located in Seabeck Washington is well worth the 10 mile drive off Hwy 3! This was my first time visiting this scenic beach and it was amazing. They have picnic tables and volleyball nets for families and then a couple different walking paths down below, which is where the beach access is located. Definitely recommend getting in the water, it’s warm, great scenery and the waves are perfect.
Lovely views of Hood Canal, Olympic National Forest. Some trails, large meeting areas, reserved camping spaces, make sure you have a discovery pass if driving.
We camped here for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the beach area for swimming, kayaking and just quiet evenings. The campground itself is fairly well kept with friendly rangers. The spots are very dusty - not even much rock. The bathrooms are fairly clean and have the usual token showers. My only gripes were the late night vehicles circling the camping loops to stay overnight; presumably squatting. We witnessed this once or twice and it made me a bit uneasy.
Beautiful camping experience. Water is salty and have pebbles on the beach.. very scenic beach.. camp sites are good... we booked multiple camping sites and Restroom are clean.. overall nice experience.
Absolutely beautiful! Got here at high tide, so I couldn’t walk the beach. However we walked the trails and admired the amazing views!
The name says it all... Stunning views. Rock beach, bring your own volleyball net (didnt think of this), great picnic tables... It was just a lovely day.
If youre looking to hike & walk on the beach make sure you do it early in the morning because this park gets super busy by noon & parking fills up. Gorgeous area with views of the Olympics to die for. Great little 2 mile hike & stroll on the beach with a pretty historic house on site to sit on the back steps & watch the boats go by.
Incredible place for a picnic, outdoor gathering, or just beautiful photos. I found this park while exploring for a place to get nice views of the Olympic Mountains. The clouds ended up thwarting my goal, but the I got some very nice photos nonetheless and discovered a great new place. The on-site playground is currently roped off for social distancing, but there are bathrooms and plenty of people coming just to see the place. All of the picnic tables were unused even on this gorgeous Saturday afternoon in January. This is likely a very popular picnic spot in the summer, the parking lot filling up quickly.Olympic Otter
We had so much fun at this park my toddler loves it! Our husky thought it was the greatest thing ever! We cant wait to go back on another nice day.
The beach in October. Lots of trails at this state park. And it really is a scenic beach. Everything was beautiful, it was really forested but once going down to the water you could enjoy looking at the water and the rocks. The trees provided a ton of shade. Great spot for a picnic.
Really scenic spot for beach walking, picnics, camping or clam-digging. Just be sure to purchase a discover pass for Washington state parks prior to visiting. You can buy a day pass with cash or check on-site but its $10 for the day or $30 for a year if you register online (see photo).
TL:DR- highly recommended for a great trip.Camping: there are 50 or so sites. While we didnt make a thorough analysis of all the sites, we were very impressed with the one we got: 48. It was right next to the trail that leads to a well-kept bathroom but we never saw a single person, owing to the secluded nature of our back-in spot (there are pull-through spots as well). All camp sites are level, wide open spaces with defined, well kept fire rings. The spots were GROOMED when we arrived; raked, fire ring cleared and empty. Theres a rock bed about 4 inches below the dirt surface. This was the only issue I had the whole 3 days of camping. Water and bathrooms are accessible. If you travel in late summer, youll be able to take advantage of the parks primary privacy vegetation: huckleberry and blueberry shrubs. Camping pancakes with fresh picked blueberries are AMAZING.Beach: the beachs name gives you most of what you need to know. Its scenic. Its really really pretty. Medium smooth rocks peppered with oyster shells (natural beds are located all over these shores and all the way to Seabeck). I found the shore water clear and warm in late summer, and several people were taking advantage of the shore and the ocean.Seabeck is a short jaunt down the road- grab some pizza or firewood and drinks at the general store. Guillemot Cove is a scenic drive and hike. Unfortunately, the beach access in the cove is closed indefinitely. I had a great stay and wish you the same.
By far one of our favorite campsites this summer!! Lots of privacy and very clean campground. These hosts take great care of their space. The beach is amazing!! Beautiful views, great space for soaking up the sun and splashing around!
Its Peaceful and the park is clean... There are several things to do here for a day trip. Also has camping spots available for tents & campers.
Sadly, it was raining, but it didn’t detract from the scenic beauty. Not too far from Port Orchard, WA. Apparently, on a clear day you get a nice view of the Olympic Mountain range.
Loved it. Beautiful views, great rocky beach with lots of wildlife. Between the beach and parking is a great wooded area with play equipment, volleyball beach, picnic tables and bathrooms. Theres also camping allowed here. All in all a great place to go for a morning, afternoon, day or weekend.
This is one of my favorite places on the planet. It is so beautiful and peaceful. The trees are majestic and provide shade and keeps the area cool. The water is peaceful and serene. The beach is made of rocks so it is not a traditional beach. The view from the beach is fantastic. The mountain range is impressive and dominates the skyline. This is a great escape from daily life.
It’s a nice little spot for one’s imagination to run wild. Sit on the porch of a historically preserved house and look across the water at the present or meander on the very short trails and beachfront. There’s not a lot, but what’s there is beautiful. There is a playground...parents don’t forget to watch your kids, please. We had 2 very little ones run up to us on the beach because they were lost.
We held my uncles memorial here. What a beautiful, peaceful setting. I love facilities, the beach access, and the panoramic views. Its a tad windy, but its worth it.
This is a great place to camp or day trip. Its clean and well-maintained. There are lots of picnic areas. I saw a volleyball net and a horseshoe pit in the day-use area, which is pretty cool. There are trails to hike. I used a bike trailer that converts into a stroller for my kids and I was just fine. Regular strollers would not be a good idea though. Most of the campsites have some degree of privacy, although a few are kind of close together. Even though this park is great, Im only giving 3 stars because it seems as though it is permanently booked up to reserve or find an open campsite. They should have A LOT more first-come first-serve sites instead of all the dann reservable ones.
We had a beautiful wedding here. The Emel house is gorgeous and perfect for the wedding party. There are camp sites, easy beach access and it is surrounded by the mountains. Absolutely lovely.
This park is so lovely! Youll need a Discover Pass in order to enter and its well worth it. The grounds are well-tended and very clean. There are restrooms available, playground, volleyball area, plenty of picnic areas, and of course the beautiful rocky beach. There are a ton of tall trees overhead to give you some shade on warm days. There is a downed tree that cuts off some beach access, but theres plenty of beach otherwise to hang out on. Its a great place to have a gathering and we even got to see a wedding party having their photoshoot done there.
I love this place! My husband and I had a blast. There is so much nature and beauty here.We bought a discover pass here so we can visit park near trails and this state park annually. The park ranger was helpful and gave us lots of helpful information.
