Avenue Prince Moulay Rachid, Marrakech 40000, Morocco, Marrakech
Among the restaurants of the bustling Hivernage district, this high-end hotel is 3 km from the stalls and entertainers in Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and 4 km from Marrakech Menara Airport.Plush, modern rooms come with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and furnished balconies or terraces; some have pool views. Suites add separate living rooms.Breakfast is complimentary. There are 3 polished restaurants, including a classic Italian eatery, and 4 chic bars, as well as a tranquil spa with an indoor pool, saunas and a hot tub. Other amenities include 2 outdoor pools and a gym. Parking is available.
Work going on so you cant use balcony. Coffee machine didnt work. Pool bar forger it. Good location
Best 5star Hotel with excellent Amenities in Marrakesh. Swimming pool is big enough and maintained well. Rooms are neat and clean, especially taps are all working and no leaks which you see in other hotels in Marrakesh. Bar and Spa is attached and wonderful service. Take Moroccan Bath is Spa, staffs are good and 5 star service from them. ATM is located in Lobby, which is safe and secure in Marrakesh, unlike other places.Overall best stay in Savoy. night clubs are next door, added advantage guys.
The main reason why we stayed here was because of the location. The hotel is located right next to Menara Mall, Buddha Bar and other cafes and restaurants. The pool was big but uncomfortably cold, some days I couldn’t swim because of how cold the water was.The rooms were decent and large, but they are old and need refurbishing. I also had an issue with the shower as the water was as flooding everywhere. They said they’ll fix it but the issue was not resolved. The rooms definitely not 5* hotel standards. The breakfast was good, but the service is very slow, and they only give their full attention to you if you tip. The croissants were really bad though.Reception, housekeeping, and security staff were really nice and friendly. Restaurant and bar staff weren’t as good and the service is pretty slow.Overall, the hotel doesn’t feel like a 5* hotel. It is getting old and the service isn’t as good compared to other 5* hotels.
Amazing service good environment, large pool ..... Anyone visiting Marrakech must spend at least a day in savory I would love to recommend this awesome spot for those who want leave the luxury with reasonable pricesWithout forgotten the sweet management who follows everysteps to ensure the best services
My family and I stayed at the Hotel from 12Aug to 16 Aug 2022. Our stay was very pleasant. Every member of staff was very accommodating. THE HOTEL DOES NOT HAVE THE WORD NO IN THEIR VOCABULARY. issam the concierge was amazing, Murad also was faultless. Plus the following people..Morocco restaurant Sufian Assistant manager arranged live music for our family and our evening was fantastic with the best Morrocan food.. Morrocan and Al Fredo, chef Bisoua... Morocco chef Bushra, they were so lovelyIssam Boss Man.. 2x Murad (Sherlockand Pool Side Guest relations Manager , Lotfi Pool Side server Cheif Conchage Mehde, very nice man.Meshing Bella lounge Mehdi cheif conciageNabeel checked us in Mohammad checked us out.... Issam was amazing, my 5 year old was finding swimming in the deep water difficult, Issam saw my daughter upset, he listened to my request of trying to get a pool noodle float, Issam made one phone call and within hours a float arrived to the hotel. Also my children are fussy eaters, however where ever we were in the hotel, the chefs would come to speak and listen to our requests, even though it was not on the menu, the chefs would make our desired and sometimes strange food requests. The best was the man dressed in blue pouring tea, the best Moroccan tea. He was very friendly and always made us welcome. The evening was not over until the spectacular water fountain display each night. Overall the location was perfect, close to all main areas from Airport to Menina, Kotobia New Areas as well as other main attractions. There is a huge mall one side called Menara Mall, Carefrore and on the other side the famous BuddaBar. All in all great and we will be coming back.
Make sure they give you the right rooms for your price..men they are not honest..make sure you deal with the women..specialy the manager(woman)she is honest...no respect for the men they work for the hotel..i mean front disk...will be much better hotel if they hire just women for the front disk....
Terrible hotel. Security followed me twice to my room, even when I showed them my room key. When I complained to the manager, she said it was MY fault for not telling them the correct room number, even though I don’t speak French. She even said there were cameras to prove I was lying. My friend had an even worse experience. There was glass on the carpet in her room, she ended up cutting her foot on it.This hotel is terrible, anything but 5*. Management is awful and rude, would advise spending your money somewhere else.Edit: The Hotel hasn’t responded to my complaints
Really wonderful hotel with attentive staff, great rooms, and restaurants. The pool was beautiful, but make sure you arrive early to get chairs. There is great food at the hotel and different restaurants. The Moroccan and Italian restaurant were both exquisite. Soufiane is the Assistant manager at the Moroccan and Italian restaurant. He was extremely friendly and made us feel like family. He really helps you understand the Moroccan culture and the incredible cuisine. He is the best!
Very poor reception desk service and very poor room service even the employees were complaining about their administration. I never ever recommend this so called 5stsr hotel to any one.
Mr.Alghazi made it so special, great hotel with great walking distance nightlife.. greatly recommend
Hotel was amazing, facilities were all nice and clean, conviniently located next to a shopping mall. If you ever go there make sure to get aquainted with the Guest relations manager called Murad. He managed our stay, responded to any issues we had and also went as far making reservations for quad biking etc.
Dear, Savoy Marrakech! We wanted to hop on here and personally thank everyone of you guys for such a wonderful stay and the amazing customer service we received.Through out our stay we got a warm welcome by the staff in at the reception, the girls at housekeeping and the guys who works at the breakfast buffet. And also, we want to personally thank Mustapha Marzouk, the head waiter Mourad, and the ataay guys, Hicham and Imad for the very very warm welcome and for the exquisite service. We both work in the same industry as you guys. And there’s always a room for improvement. And we’ve been loyal guests since 2016.There’s just a few things that we think you guys should take into consideration:- When it comes to the rooms, The mattress are very hard to sleep on.- The breakfast buffet was overall amazing, but we realized that you guys didn’t have enough cups, juice glasses, nor napkins and plates when we went to the buffet. And we also think you guys can have more options at the buffet. To summarize everything, we had an wonderful experience and the amazing customer service from the moment we stepped foot into the hotel. And yet again, thank you everyone!Yours sincerely,Amel and Meryem Zamouri (family Zamouri)😊
We had a complaint about the spa. The feedback was not taken on board. Such a shame their customer service is appalling from the senior management team. Finished our holiday on a true downer.
Thanks to Mehdi and Fariz, our stay has been amazing. Certainly best concierge!
Highly recommend! Fantastic Hotel. Very clean and very warm and welcoming staff. Morad was exceptionally helpful and even lent us his charger! Thanks morad!
If you never experienced a nightmare stay in this property the staff at the front desk, once you arrive are trained to torture you in all meaning, they make you look that you never travelled before , they make you feel like a beggar, being nice or angry doesn’t get you anywhere’s. They drain you out and you will find out that you are living a nightmare
I put 1 star because i can’t put 0. Was the worst experience I ever had in a hotel. The reception guys ( Mr mohamed and Mr Yerrami try to steal us with the booking twice in 2 days. Incredible that in a 5 stars hotel you have this incredible bad experience…. Hope a responsible can see this review.Trust me, don’t go ever…
The room I get not the same I booked on booking I insist to change the next day they keep me waiting for long time almost 3 hrs no coordination between the staff
Where to begin. This hotel is in a shopping strip mall. It is loud, crowded, and unkept. The hotel staff are unintelligent, untrained, and inexperienced. Prepare yourself for a miserable experience. Enjoy racial profiling and outright racism. This hotel does not warrant the stars it has received, most likely explained by bribing officials. Aggressive security who inappropriately stare at woman. This hotel should be on the Ministry of Tourism’s watch list for at risk hotels. If you want a disastrous accommodation, maybe consider staying here. Otherwise book literally anywhere else.
Morad, What an absolute gem you are - Savoy wont be the same without you. Thank you for making every trip of ours feel very special.Adam and family.
Had a lovely stay at savoy all the shops and restaurants are so close to each other. Staff are really friendly especially Murat (managerhe was brilliant, well spoken/dressed and guided and advised us about our stay in Marrakech. Will defo be back. Thank you Savoy and thank you Murat.
“The location is great. The hotel is very modern and very welcoming. All in all it was a perfect stay.” Top and best service@ Manager Murat 5 stars plus@Hamza@ Abul Karim
The hotel is really nice.Big room and well priced.Front desk are nice but slow, the rest of the staff are awful.I was walking to my room and was told as I was walking not to wait by the pool…I was walking…That was the 1st nightAlso I was asked to show my room card, but not anyone else. The security guard walked all the way around the hotel to come check just my room pass.Despite me paying for all the rooms that we booked and being well dressed…2nd I moved to a different hotel and took my free with me.
The best gym 🏋️experience, friendly coach well experienced, amazing training program to be honest the hard work the coach do he deserve a promotion, pools and areas of the hotel amazing but it needs more entertainment like game center or arcades or just a ping pong and basketball court or maybe soccer or tennis, the restaurant instead of ordering a coffee from butler why u just put a milk and coffee dispenser and also juices, food is good, the rooms needs a bit more of treatment, soo bad Internet connection, I recommend giving more intrest to gym 🏋️and coach and entertainment and add a yoga class . I spent amazing days at the hotel and big thanks to all the people who made all of this things I wish the review get attention and considering my suggestions for the best of to this hotel🙏👌
Awful hotel. Had to cancel booking due to covid restrictions. Booked with free cancellation but soon realised its impossible to cancel. Called multiple times but the person that deals with cancellations is never available. Far from 5 star service.
Excellent reception and thank you for the great experience I had in your hotel. I enjoyed my time at the hotel and every thing was so great and exceeded my expectations. Thank you so much for the nice work and services you provided for your customers.
Why on earth do you have such ridiculous loud music at the pool? This is completely insane. Are you a stripclub or a 5 star hotel?? And it is not like people are enjoying it. They are at this pool because of the drink service. That’s why there is nobody at the other pool where there is no music. ( and no service ). When I made an official complaint they turned it down, but the next day it was the same.
checked in and they would not let me take my alcohol from duty free to my room. rude and obnoxious staff at front desk. never stay here again. service was poor and female staff front desk are horrible.
It wasn’t my first time in savoy and it won’t be the last time.Great customer service,I want to thank each staff in savoy Marrakesh.Room always clean( thanks to Hanan, Amina and Halima)Food and catering ( thanks to Mourad, kawtar, Hamza.... all of them)Outstanding hotel😍
It’s a very bad experience with this hotel customer service is zero and very rude they try to rip you off they advertise on there websites 1 thing but when you get to the hotel it’s totally different. It’s not eligible to bring alcohol to your room. But it will be legal when you pay them 20$ for 6 packs of beer.
A disastrous experience. Booked there with my 2 childhood friends a suite with a special request for 3 separate beds, the receptionists are rude and have no interest in finding a proper solution, the room was not equipped to receive 3 people. We had to ask for towels and even more toilet papers, the extra bed is not fit for an adult. When again complained, we were told that this was the only thing they have. The receptionist charged the room upon check-in without taking a deposit. After having coffee at the pool and signing a slip for getting charged to the room, the waiter came upstairs knocking on the door demanding for payment. The experience is beyond catastrophic, I never had such a nightmarish experience in any other 5-star hotel. And I am leaving more examples of this. Not understanding what makes it a 5-star
5 stars is to less for this hotel, for the staff, for the atmosphere, for the food and for everything else. We had the most pleasant stay. I cant thank enough to everyone for making us feel so welcome. I must say this was the best choice. Nothing is to much for this people. Again many thanks to all the staff and to Mo the hotel manager. We truly enjoyed our stay and we definitely visit again. Greetings from UK ( Anca and Beatrice)
Felt like the reviews for this hotel were all over the place.. So the important stuff! Very clean hotel, staff was very nice from the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out, more Americanized then I expected. Definitely walk to the main street and turn left to get a cheaper cab! My only complaints were the wifi in the far rooms were awful and the hot tubes were not heated!! Besides that the stay was wonderful
My wife and I were staying here for 3 nights. It has been an excellent choice. The hotel is tremendously well run and we have no criticisms at all. We had a great room with all of the facilities one would expect of a really fine hotel. The breakfast is superb and the staff are so friendly and efficient. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Great hotel! Facility are worthy of 5 stars! Pools are nice, rooms are large and spacious, and location is unbeatable! The service can be disappointing at times given the 5 stars and price. Checking in took at least 20 minutes and they never seemed to have the right number of towels in the room. Also in the bedroom, a giant window that looks into the bathroom! There’s a shade but it is still slightly transparent allowing you to see into the bathroom. Overall extremely nice and a great place to stay, just a few out of character oddities.
Beautiful hotel, great service and nice facilities make this hotel an easy 5-star rating. HOWEVER two things that have resulted in my 4-star rating.1. Our room was on the ground floor near the pool. On at least three nights, we were woken up at 3/4 am by other guests making a lot of noise including shouting and banging on each others doors. On our final night we had the pleasure not only of the noisy guests, but also a noisy trolley delivering room service to the room next to us (at 3am!and for unknown reasons, a hotel employee deciding to start vaccuming outside our door (at 3am!)2. On the day we were checking out, there was a fight in the hotel lobby between an extremely angry guest (manand a member of staff (female). At one point the guest had to be physically restrained by other hotel employees as he appeared to want to attack the female member of staff. The hotel staff were completely in the right, however my issue was that the whole saga then continued in the hotel lobby in public view for a further two hours before the angry little man and his wife finally left the hotel. In my opinion this could have been best handled by dealing with the situation in a private office out of view from the normal guests. We will definitely return but probably chose a room on a different floor next time!
Apart from a few things this hotel was more or less everything I could’ve asked for.Pros -Really warm welcome upon arrival, bags were taken and we were shown to our room. Check-in was also a very smooth process. The room was amazing I booked this for my 25th birthday and they went above and beyond by offering a bigger room (we even had our own sinks each). On the night leading up to my birthday the hotel went above and beyond making the room nice and romantic and also given me a birthday treat. Breakfast was different (not your typical English or American style breakfastbut I was more than happy with visiting the omelette/cold meats and cheeses stations daily along with the crepe and waffle station. Juice and tea were topped up constantly as someone was always walking around. I had a pizza from the pizzeria and that was really good also had a other meal by the pool on my last day which again was good. (Eating outside of the hotel will save you so much. The amount of pools and the size of the hotel were great. We were always finishing something new and the spa was a nice atmosphere too with relaxing couples treatments/ it was the best way to start my birthday. The staff were helpful and always smiling and this hotel was beautiful not to mention the lovely scent. There is a cash machine in the hotel reception which I used on a few occasions and they have a currency exchange also. Great location being attached to the Menara mall which had a supermarket,Burger King, indoor market etc.Cons -My makeup suddenly “disappeared” after returning from breakfast and the room had been cleaned. The cleaners and manager demanded it couldn’t be them which isn’t right as you can’t be sure. After a long discussions we came to an agreement which the hotel manager handled and was very apologetic. Upon ordering room service it took a long time to arrive and when it did arrival one of the meals were wrong (however again the manager removed this from our bill). There was also no instructions explaining that room service need to be ordered through the tv and there was no phone number or manual for how to call reception so I had to make a long journey downstairs. The mini fridge in the room has a bar menu however only water is in the fridge so it’s pointless. The slot I had for my massage was 60 minutes this was somehow only 45 minutes and then we we’re left In there to lay down for the remainder of the time. (15 minutes paying for nothingand lastly. It’s impossible to contact the hotel or riot to visiting. They don’t answer emails and the website doesn’t work.
Modern hotel with helpful staff. Beautiful Moroccan decor. Great Location. The room was fabulous and they let us have another room for the last day while we waited for our transfer. Two pools one busy and one quiet to suit all needs. Great food from all the a la carte restaurants on site. They have an issue with the coffee makers so take a kettle however if we needed boiling water we rang down and they brought it to our room in a flask. The facilities and food are excellent. There was a little controversy with tourists who wanted to bring food or drink items in from outside but I think they sorted that out.
Amazing hotel. The staff were very helpful and extremely polite at all times. Hotel has three pools with one indoor, which my 5 year old preferred as it felt warmer for him. The outside pools do feel cold as the temp was 35+ degrees when we were there in may. The restaurants are all really nice but I would recommend going out to eat too has locally there are some amazing places. The customer relations manager was amazing, he took time out daily to come over to us and sit and talk. Give us advice on how to plan our day. Overall brilliant place that caters for a young family and lots to do.
The hotel reception is spacious and sweetly scented. The staff are very courteous. The room are spacious as well.We stayed in a junior suite and everything was almost perfect. Just minor difficulties with communication(housekeepingand the wifi. The buffet breakfast was a delight. The provisions seemed endless. The towels were very clean and the supply of toiletries contained Morrocan Argan oil which is excellent on the skin. On the whole a wonderful experience. I will recommend this hotel any time and would stay here again and again.
I have just finished a week here at Savoy Le Grand. I must say everything here is just perfect. The actual hotel decor is very luxurious. The pool is amazing and the pride that the staff take in the hotel is really something I have never seen before. They are also very friendly and are always on hand to help with any requests. The hotel have a very strict no outside food policy but they were so understanding and allowed me to bring in Kosher food after I explained my needs.Cant rate this place enough.Location is also perfect and very central.
Receptionists are rude and need training. They have no manners or ability to deal with guests. When we arrived the two receptionists were arguing with another guest and they were rude to us throughout our stay.Paid for room with pool view which we did not receive. Room was on ground floor with lots of people passing by during the night so we got very little sleep. There were ants in the bathroom. The mini-fridge was empty and the iron was broken. The pool is ok but not enough lounger beds. The staff take peoples towels while they are away so loungers look empty which causes arguments between guests. The Italian restaurant was nice, although we ordered a vegetarian dish that arrived full of mince meat. The breakfast is nice.Overall, not worth the price.
Good points and bad points. The good points are the reception and serroundings are lovely, the rooms are big and most of the staff are very nice! The bad points are the little details you expect from a 5 star hotel. Everyday we had to ask room service for towels as they had not replaced them, the check-out was very long and she was serving 3 customers at once, there were not enough sunbeds or breakfast tables for everyone staying there. I would also like to mention that one of the waiters tried to scam us, loosing money for the hotel rather than us but not a move that inspires confidence. They have everything there to make it a fabulous, 5 star hotel but the little details need looking into.
What a fantastic hotel!!! Ive been to Marrakech before & so glad we stayed here. Lovely rooms, beautiful settings, great location & the staff are warm, welcoming & so friendly. From the porters through to the General Manager who is so attentive to all the guests. Experienced that next level of service. The pool is awesome with a fab vibe during the day with the music being played, that created a lovely chilled out atmosphere. Breakfasts are also phenomenal & set you up nicely for the day. Already recommended to so many people & will definitely be staying here again! Big thumbs up from me!
Stayed here during the last day of our Morocco trip. Our room (two bedroom suitwas very large and nice, hotel grounds are also very impressive. Service was very poor though. When you call for requests to reception, they seem to just ignore it. We ended up with room service dishes not collected till following afternoon and broken coffee machine not fixed till we checked out. Breakfast was crowded, noisy and unimpressive. Compared with another smaller hotel just around the corner where we stayed in the beginning of our trip, Savoy was a disappointment.
Good hotel based on the Las Vegas Hotel/attached shopping model. All pools outside were cold. Enjoyed the underground pool very much. Here’s a tip. By one of the pool stairs in the large underground pool there is a powerful adjustable jet that you can use as an endless swim experience.Did not experience the DJ noise issue as we were on the small pool side. Great suites. A bit of elevator noise in my room as I was by the elevator that sounded like someone scraping a table across the floor. Many maintenance people always painting or fixing up something. Good to see.I would stay here again.
Not bad. Staff were very friendly when we first arrived but throughout the 5 days it went from a good morning, how are you? to just a nod of the head. The hotel itself is beautiful with a half decent gym if you like that sort of thing. The restaurant food was excellent and at a good price and the breakfast buffet had absolutely everything you could ask for, pancakes, waffles, crepes, fruit, yoghurt and obviously the cook breakfast. Amazing. Was a little frustrating that we couldnt take in our own water considering the heat, we had to buy from their restaurant at 4 times the price. Apart from that a lovely stay. 4 stars.
This is a very nice hotel well kept their suites are humongous if youre a big family with kids . The pool is really nice . Live music evening and night and other music playing all day. The only problem is the food is pricey and not tasty with limited options. If youre spending more than a weekend it adds up real quickly so rather eat out . Service is slow in food areas. Staff is really friendly and very helpful .
I had the best time here. The staff is excellent. The hotel is beautiful. The drinks are weak and you can’t bring your own alcohol but just get wine and enjoy the atmosphere. Hotel is in a great location and it’s truly beautiful. It’s a cheap taxi to many different places - or you can walk.
Recently stayed at this hotel early December and it was lovely! The staff have definitely improved from the reviews I have read from 5-6 months ago. Breakfast was delightful lots to choose from, pancakes and omelettes are made in front of you to your taste. Lots of breads and bakery options to choose from also. As we arrived staff greeted us and offered us tea as we checked in, the manager also wished us a great stay on our first day and had several really good conversations with my partner and I which was warming. Staff will also review if you have paid too much for a certain activity although their room service prices are astonishing just for water it was 40 MID whereas at the supermarket next door it is 5MID. Overall great stay would definitely come back and stay longer!!
