Savini Restaurant in Ramsey

Okay, the food was pretty bad. We had meatball appetizer the ricotta on top was so salty we had to push it aside and the red sauce was too acidic. All the protein was cooked perfectly however they have not mastered sauces. The salmon had a mustard sauce which was so mustard forward you couldnt eat it. The chicken with mushrooms (Forestierehad a sherry wine sauce and it had no flavor. My dish, veal imperial was $37 for two of the tiniest pieces of veal Ive ever seen with the tiniest pieces of crab meat. The sauce, (champagne saucewas so overly sweet it could not be eaten. I dont know where that sweetness comes from but it was like eating a mouth full of sugar... Our server only came to take our order. We had to ask someone to get him for our check after waiting 20 minutes, never checked on our meal. We all agreed that the food was very subpar, and over priced and that we wont return. The place is very cozy with nice low lighting

Lovely experience, and even though we arrived close to the end of the night (sorry again!), the staff never made us feel rushed, the food was just as good as Im sure it would be were we there at opening, and our semi-large party left happy and full

Apps were great, entrée was average. Biggest issue was the wait time was hour and 30 min to get entrées. We were not able to order desert due to the long wait. Overall disappointing evening and we will not be coming back.

Good food and drinks. Crowded and loud on the evening of my dine. There was a large (wedding?party. Congrats to the bride and groom. Hope you enjoyed your experience as much as we did.

First time going tonight. Beautiful place, excellent food… prepared like they cared about diner. Server was excellent, whole staff was gracious and friendly. Could become my new favorite Italian restaurant. Bravo !

Birthday party luncheon. Food was fantastic, service was impeccable and the atmosphere delightful. Well worth a visit.

What a great place. I sat at the bar. Bartenders were great, atmosphere was great, customers were a blast. Im from the Midwest. However, they included me in their conversations. I felt this was a restaurant were customers, almost family, frequented. It seemed the staff knew everyones name. I had Grandmas Meatballs, and the House Cavatelli. Yum. I ate at the bar and Brie provided great services. She helped me order and was very personable. Id recommend this place. Its more than food and drink, its a night with new friends!

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. My family of 5 dined at Savini last night and would not return. The food was very good, service was good (waiter was new). We are a family of 5 with 3 daughters ranging in ages from 6 to 11 and were seated directly next to the bar. At the bar was a group of men who had clearly been at the restaurant drinking for many, many hours. These men were watching a football game and shouting obscenities for the entire duration of our dinner. F words galore. My eldest daughter would jump out of her seat whenever there was a play that made them shout at the top of their lungs. My daughters were afraid and subjected to language they do not hear at home and my husband was annoyed for the entirety of our meal (wanting to say something). I did not allow him to because when people are that inebriated nothing good can come of a rational conversation. Our waiter and the "manager" who was in the red shirt both were witness to these outbreaks and curse words and did not say a single thing. Would never return, zero class about the restaurant. Have had classier meals at true pubs where the entire purpose is to go watch a game. We took our daughters for a nice, elegant dinner and instead received a classless lesson on how to never behave at a restaurant, especially in front of little girls. Go elsewhere - no where near worth the $300 dinner we paid. In the future I would suggest not seating a party with little girls (or children for the matternext to a group of drunk men with filthy mouths and zero respect for their surroundings. There were many opportunities where the bartender, the waiter or the manager could have said hey guys, there is a family with children seated behind you, lets leave the curse words but no one said anything. A truly terrible dining experience.

Cannot say enough nice things about Savini - Ive come here every year on my birthday for the last several years and its always a great experience. The staff makes you feel so welcomed and special and the food is always so fresh and delicious!

Started with a Manhattan and some baked clams. Moved on to a salad, a second manhattan, and some pasta. Ended with cuppacino. All in all a very good night.

First time coming here & had a great experience! The food was great & came in a timely manner. The drinks were so delicious !

I would recommend this place. I had an experience with a food allergy and they took care of the situation and will be going back in the future. I appreciate the ownership and time they took to make it right. Highly recommend the food and place. Thank you for being honest and loyal to the customers and for making every experience important. Def recommend for a night out!

Normally, Savini is one of our favorite restaurants. But tonight, Sal, the host, ruined our evening. My wife ordered a dish with lobster, shrimp and scallops. There was one tiny piece of lobster and two empty shells. The single piece of lobster was black on one end. When my wife complained, Sal came over and said that was just the way it was. Not what I expected after spending lavishly on food and tips at Savini over the years. As far as I am concerned I will never return.

Very friendly staff and efficient wait staff.Kitchen was off last night failing to produce my dish with any lump crabmeat in menu description. They tried to correct it but it became a very second rate dish.Normally a wonderful kitchen.

Savinis has not changed in many years! Still EXCELLENT customer service and wonderful food. Used to always go to Zagats top restaurants in New York and Savinis consistently great like them! Keep up the good work.

I absolutely love this place. It takes me back in time when great service and friendly staff make the the experience. The food is amazing.

From the moment you walk into this establishment you feel welcomed and appreciated. The clientele is classy and not loud making going to dinner a very calming experience. The wait staff and bartenders are true professionals in every way. And the specials include really inventive items that arent found elsewhere. My date ordered a cucumber martini that she raved about how it looked and tasted throughout the meal. I had beef carpaccio appetizer , she had the spagatelli soup both were excellent. She had the lump crabmeat appetizer for her main course I had the double cut porterhouse veal chop . Both were a nice size and excellently prepared, awesome in fact. I took a picture after taking a fork full of veal. Couldnt resist. This could possibly be my favorite restaurant.

Everything was wonderful including salad, pasta plate, and dessert. The entree was veal parmesan which was superb. It came with mashed potatoes & green beans. Pinot grigio & coffee for beverage.

First time at this gem and we were very impressed. We went for our anniversary and they had special menus with our names on them. Our waiter Juan was exceptionally attentive and prompt. Bus boys were also neat and right on the spot. There was a large selection of meals and a full bar. The food was excellently prepared from the pastas to the veal to the salmon to the desserts. I highly recommend this restaurant.

What a fabulous and comfortable place to have a nice dinner out! My partner surprised me here for my birthday. It is exceptionally comfortable with excellent, attentive service. We didnt get drinks but the food was excellent. My partners tortellini was top notch, as was my seafood linguine that came from the special menu. The pasta e fagioli soup was one of the best Ive ever had, too, but be warned that its filling and I should have left more room for the rest of the meal.

Amazing food great service one the best spaghetti and meatballs I have had in a while the tiramisu was excellent as well.

One and done! They don’t know how to treat customers. We went for dinner and our bill was $402.60. My husband wanted to leave an $80 gratuity. He accidentally wrote $160. As soon as we got home I called the restaurant and told them what he had done. The gentleman that answered the phone told me he would take care of it and let the owner know. After a week when I saw my credit card was not credited I called back. I spoke to Kristen. She said she would talk to the owner and he would call me but to give him a couple weeks. I left my name and phone number. Six weeks later and no phone call. We reached out again and were told that the owner would give us a call. We even suggested that if it was easier to give us a gift card that we would be fine with that. The owner never called us but Kristen did and said there is nothing they can do. Needless to say we will NEVER go back there again and I will make sure I tell my family, friends and clients about their unprofessionalism.

I made a reservation tonight for 3 of us so I could celebrate my friend Jane’s birthday with her & her husband. I noted in the reservation that we’d be celebrating a birthday. Just before we left, Savini’s called to get the name of the birthday honoree.When we walked in the door and I gave my name, all at the door wished Jane Happy Birthday and handed us personalized “Specials Menus” with HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANE” across the top!! She was so surprised and touched! During dinner, several staff members stopped by to say Happy Birthday. We were all very impressed.This is a PERFECT example of a restaurant exceeding expectations and going above & beyond. Restaurants can learn a LOT from Savini’s!Of course the meal and service were excellent and exceeded expectations. A true example of “Going Above & Beyond”. OUTSTANDING!! Thank you for a special evening!

At SAVINI RESTAURANT, we hosted 14 family and friends for our granddaughter Rachels University Graduation on Saturday, June 11th - it was a perfect gift for all! As always, the food was exceptional and beautifully presented. The service throughout the entire meal was attentive and unobtrusive! Salih set us up in the alcove so we had privacy for great group chatting! Everyone loved this delicious celebration and a beautifully shared memory for our Grand girl! We couldnt have been more pleased, happier or proud! Savini was just PERFECT!

Savini was excellent! We celebrated our anniversary there and the staff was so kind and caring. The drinks, appetizers and food were all excellent. Our service was impeccable. We will definitely dine there again.

Amazing food and awesome atmosphere. Great place for a burger and wings but also excellent choices off the specials menu. All your favorite beers on tap as well!

Went here for the first time and all we can say is Wow! Upon entering, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere which was elegant and tastefully decorated. The service was stellar from the moment we made the reservation with their personal contact before our dinner and continued throughout our entire visit. Our waiter Thomas was warm, personable and funny and made us feel right at home. Now to the food, the menu is large and varied with options available for all types of discerning palates. The food came out quickly and was piping hot and and we loved every single dish. From the Orange Roughy special, to the risotto, gnocchi, shrimp Savini, to the desserts - everything was exceptional. Savinis is now one of our go to high end Italian restaurants. If you havent been here yet, you really need to give it a try, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and daughter and I enjoy dining at Savini. The host is a welcoming lovely man on the phone and in person. The servers are friendly and informative. I liked the layers of various servers that come out to the tables for different reasons. As always the food is delicious and tasty from the appetizers to the desserts. Would like very much to return and try other selections from the menu. Somebody please give me a gift certificate to Savini.

We went as a party of 6 for lunch before opera in NYC. Style is formal Italian.Service was first class professional. Ambiance is first class. Food is top shelf delicious. People that I would take here will leave impressed. Savini is worth more than 5 stars!

So my boss takes us here for every Christmas luncheon..beyond beautiful, cozy, super festive & the staff and food are out of this world!! Absolutely give 10 stars!!😁

The food was amazing and so was the service. The “chicken savini” was 10/10 and I’ll definitely be returning. Only thing I was disappointed about was I called a few days before my reservation to get a custom menu since we were booked for a special occasion. They said yes on the phone but we were never received the menus.

Amazing experience for me and my girlfriends anniversary. The staff went above and beyond with their service and made sure we were taken care of at all times. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. They even went out of their way to call me and ask my partners name so they could make a special menu for us! We came here for an early evening dinner without the kids and really enjoyed the outdoor sitting in the tent. The service was right on, attentive but not overbearing and our waiter had great suggestions.We had the fried calamari which was light and tasty with a wonderful marinara sauce on the side. We also had a fig with blue cheese salad from the specials which was a great combination of flavors.For mains my wife really enjoyed the bay scallops dinner while I had a great double veal chop with a great mushroom sauce. Both dinner had the same mashed and green beans side.Desserts were also well executed with the lemoncello cake being the stand out.I would absolutely be coming back again soon and probably bring the kids too.

Took my fiance there for his birthday on a Tuesday night. It was a fantastic experience - all the items we ordered were delicious (we went with some specials -- split the honeycrisp apple + arugula salad, gnocci, chilean seabass and ended with their canoli cream & berry dessert). The service was phenomenal, and the ambiance was great. Highly recommend this place, especially for a special evening to celebrate an occasion.

Decided to try Savini to celebrate a friends birthday and it was the best choice.. I felt a warm welcome and overall inviting atmosphere from the start, evening making the reservation over the phone was enjoyable. Very helpful staff, they go the extra mile to make your visit feel special.I wish I lived closer but I don’t mind making the drive to visit again soon! Absolutely amazing everytime we go.We went for our 10th anniversary...due to covid we were not comfortable sitting indoors , they had a beautiful outdoor seqting with heating and tables really apart from one another.We reached at 4.30 for dinner and we were done by 6.15.The food was just delicious...but the beat was the server had asked us to think of the most cherished moments we had during the lockdown and share it wen while irdering the dessert... this amazing conversation starter helped us recall all amazing family moments we had in 2020 and how thankful we are.It was a fantastic evening for us and we will cherish it alwaz.

Went for Valentines day. Very crowded but they honored our reservation and we didnt have to wait. Was there once before and loved it. We shared oysters and stone crab and had shrimp and meatballs for dessert. They serve complimentary olives and cheese.

This place is amazing! This is the best service Ive ever seen at a restaurant, from valet parking to a busboy that cleans off any crumbs or food that gets on the table. The oysters were spot on, and the seafood papperdelle pasta was to die for! This is a top three in the best restaurants Ive ever been to!

One of our favorite places to eat. Its higher end but the prices are reasonable. Service is always outstanding as is the food. I would recommend reservations for most evenings.

Savini is one of the best restaurants. The food is always excellent as are the cocktails. The veal, steak, chicken, and seafood are always cooked to perfection. They offer plenty of delicious dessert and coffee options. The restaurant offers 2 levels of seating and tables for small and large groups alike. Its a great place to celebrate a special occasion.
