Saveurs d'Ailleurs - Thai restaurant in Lausanne, Switzerland
If youve had your fill of raclette and cheese fondue and youre looking for some (relativelycheap Asian food, this ones for you. The menus uncomplicated, the staff are friendly, and the foods honest. Check them out.
One thing you may not know about this place? It is run by women only. Trivia for you: next time you order in person, try figure out how many nationalities are in there and which ones they are.Obviously, the food matches the rating. Go easy on the 🌶 :)
The young lady who took our order was very sweet in explaining everything. While the food was being prepared the owner, a sweet lady kept on checking. The food packaging was amazing. The taste was fantastic. Overall loved every thing about this place.
Little Thai gem for Thai food. Authentic and delicious, especially beef Penang. I’m a Thai tourist in Lausanne. So didn’t expect much of Thai food here, but this restaurant really surprised me till I had to go back for the second time.
Probably the best Thai food in Vaud, and apart from Patara in Geneva, this place is top 3 Thai restaurants/take aways in Switzerland. The only thing is I would ask if they could a bit more shrimp in the Pad Thai and curries.
Ordered Chicken Soup Citronella.. simply amazing flavours …will be trying a few things over the next days .. thank you 🙏🏽
Really this restaurant deserves every single word . The taste is unbelievable. May family and I loved it . Thanks for the excellent food and nice staff too . WELLDONE
By far and no comparison, the BEST Thaï Cuisine in Lausanne and Region! Thank you Nuchnart and all your team for the quality of service and products that you are consistantly delivering, hats off! :-The Thaï experience is always there and beyond. We are huge fans and definitely recommand Saveurs DAilleurs to all the real Thaï food lovers!
Great Thai take away- great value for the price and original very tasty dishes. We tried green and red curry (veggie and with chicken)- excellent!
Easily in the top 5 takeaways in Lausanne - food is consistently fresh, incredibly flavourful and made with high quality ingredients. The Thai Pumpkin curry is brilliant!
deliciously fresh and tasty food, great service & kind and welcoming staff.
Tastes delicious maybe not the best but I really liked it and go very often!Try it!
The worst Thai food I ever had in my entire life. Stay away. Food is not fresh, does not taste like Thai food at all. And you overpay for really bad quality food. Gave me stomach problems the next day.
Very good cosy thai restaurant. Good food for take away with lots of good flavors . Green cury and chiken satay are recommended .
Very tasty Pad Thai and delicious Tom Kha Gai soup. Highly recommend. We also had fried rice and green curry. Everything was well made. Authentic tastes.
In my opinion, the Best Thai Restaurant ever in this Region
Good Thai restaurant. Make good portions to take away !! I use this restaurant very often as I think it’s one of the best Thai of Lausanne. It is very convenient and the staff is super nice. The prices are well fair and the service is rapid. I highly recommend for Thai food lovers
Pricey (25 CHF for duck curry and ricebut maybe this is normal for Switzerland. Very pleasant staff. VERY fast WiFi (200+ Mbps)
The food is delicious, although the service should be improved. One server was serving all the tables and I thought they should be 2 people.
Ordered a spring roll and Pad Thai, spring roll is good, Pad Thai so-so. Have been drinking water non stop couple hours after the meal, probably lots of MSG in the food.
Food is great and the staff is very friendly, overall a great place!
Good food .Swift service.Good value. We always call in when in Lausanne.
Every time I travel to Lausanne, I always stay in Ouchy and often go to this place as it is next to the hotel I stay. I rarely seat down, as " Food to go" always are priority and if few tables are full, you can be sure to be there for an hour. You will wait a long time for food. The waitress are very nice but you can tell they are alone, taking phone orders and serving the 6-7 tables available in the room and are way too overwhelmed by work. That is ok to me, I do understand and I always leave a nice tip. Food is good, not the best in town, but it is good and portions are of great size for a big eater like me. I like the restaurant design and colours. Even though the toilets arent connected to the inside restaurant, you do have toilets in the outside behind it. It means you must dress to go to toilets. They are cleaned.Lately I have seen the Thai Lady owner, and I do understand why the staff is over stressed. her attitude is a high as the Mount Kilimanjaro and I just dont like it.The worst, I was there 2 weeks ago with my husband. I thought a Thai person would welcome an other one with open arms, but thats not the case. The owner barely said hello. That was ok to me, bad days happens to everyone but here tonight, I am not happy. We were both, came inside for a table and while waiting for someone to welcome us, other 2 couples came inside. The owner didnt acknowledge us at all and pass in between us to seat the other 2 couples. The other 2 couples , looked at us , surprised and then the owner , only then, asked us how many person for a table ( we were only 2 ). Her attitude was so bad, the regular waitress felt bad and didnt know what to say. I have to remind you, I have been to this place at least a dozen time since the beginning of this year. The waitress knows me as the spicy guy. I always ask 5 spicy , means the most spicy of all.Anyway , because of the owners attitude, I didnt stay , and only took " Food to go" for one person as my husband didnt want to order anything anymore, he was upset by the way were were treated.I do complains as I do share amazing stories in all my traveling. If I do complains, it must go far for me to say anything. I dont believe in negative things and I prefer to keep an open mind and stay positive.Tonight she crossed the line. Too bad as the concept is great, and the waitress are doing their best. I would give 10 out of 5 for the waitress.
Amazing food. Generous portions. Recommend checking them out.
Simple place with very good Thai food, reasonable prices, big portions. only negative is the size of the place, quite small.
Took lunch there on Sunday. Tried tom yum gung and pad thai, both were authentic; however pad thai was bit sour.
Best pad Thai in town! This place is my absolute favourite when it comes to Thai food.Rapid service, polite staff and good ambiance. I often order there on eat.ch
Very good! Loved the curry, interior has some room for improvement, but quality is great.
I cannot believe we went to Switzerland and had such amazing Thai food. We ended up eating here for three nights in a row. I couldnt get enough of the Pad Thai.
Very nice restaurant, try the Massaman!
Really good Thai food in a casual environment, good quality, big quantity and good price. Theres no plenty of space but the rotation is quite fast
Pricey due to the location, but a good small restaurant and takeaway with good quality, tasty Thai food.
I had my Asian food cravings and saw this one last time during dinner. The store was crowded when I visited it so was not able to dine-in. But I takeaway my order back to my hotel.Got pad thai and spring rolls (pork & shrimpfor dinner and it was great. Rich taste of the east is what you cn expect from them.Small place but if youre dining alone its will be easy.
Good price considering Swiss values. The food were great, authentic in my opinion, and overall enjoyed eating here!
A 4 star on Swiss standard based on its good-value pricing and taste. It is for sure not the most authentic thai flavor out there, but at least the food tastes food. Love to go there for a quick meal or take-away when I am too lazy to cook.
Cheap and cheerful for Lausanne standard. Quick service and large portion. 2 curries, a pad thai, 2 jasmine rice and a 500ml beer would cost around CHF60.
Taste is not much different from authentic Thai food. Staff is friendly. And restaurant gave a good package for take away.
To go thai restaurant. Good food and fast service. The main dishes are a bit expensive.
The food was delicious!! The service was friendly and quick. Definitely eat here. The prices were reasonable, and the food was fresh and full of flavor. We had the XL noodles and the vegetable green curry. Both were perfect.
Thai taste in Lausanne. Worth the money and you can enjoy it 7 days a week!
Overprived "fast food" cooking, very far from bangkok gastronomy, service was very slow, big slice of chicken mixed with lot water.
one of the best thai places , for a reasonable price.... would suggest takeaway since there is only little place in there.
Great staff and good food, but a bit less spicy for my taste. Small place so we had to share our table with another couple.
One of the best Thai in town. Not a single time i got a bad experience. if you want to eat in the restaurant better to reserve since it is quite small and normally all full. if you take away the waiting time is considerably less!Incredible food!
Great Thai food ! The service is always fast and on point. I was never disappointed by their different dishes. If you love thai food, give it a try !
Terrible vegetarian options, only one option in fact! There is fish sauce in almost everything and they couldnt make these dishes without it. The pineapple curry rice was bland and oily, with no vegetables in it and just a few chunks of bland pineapple. Deeply disappointed...
The food seems to be pre-made and not made to order so nothing tastes freshly cooked. I ordered pineapple rice and it was bland with only a couple pieces of pineapple. In general, the whole meal was overpriced and underwhelming. I wished I had gone to the little grocery store near by. Would have saved me money and frustration.
Excellent Thai food, this is the first time i have left a review for a restaurant, that is how impressed i was with Saveurs dAilleurs, a must if staying in this area, it is small and hard to spot but is worth looking for, i had a red curry and my wife had green, to be honest i couldnt choose a superior between the two, maybe order both, staff are superb also, well priced def worth a visit.
The 40 CHF parking ticket only added to our bad experience. Food was mediocre and definitely not worth the price. Dont eat here.
Very good Thai food with a good variety of vegetarian dishes. loved the sweet n sour vegetable curry with rice...light n enjoyable...
