Asian, African and European flavours combine at this modern restaurant for small and sharing plates.
Nice place to eat, need little bit more decoration to make it feel more comfortable the rest was good, the server was amazing
Truly cant believe that this place has anything but 1* reviews. We waited 50 minutes for lukewarm, average food... with no apology. To top it all off, I asked to remove chips from the bill (that Id not ordered, they were sent to the table by mistake), and was spoken to incredibly rudely by a member of staff. The situation/service was already bad and they chose to exasperate that. Will not be returning. What a waste of time and money.
I booked this restaurant, got email order confirmation, but arrived to find it not open.I showed the receptionist the order confirmation but he was unable to help. One of the members of my group felt unwell as she must eat a regular intervals in line with a medical condition, by the time we found an alternative, in central London, on a Saturday evening.Really disappointed they are taking bookings when restaurant is not open.
Food was amazing, we did the set menu with bottomless fizz, our glasses were never empty. Stefan was wonderful and they are lucky to have him.Our food was cooked perfectly, I upgraded to the steak and chips while my husband had the gnocchi. Id recommend both! The arenchini starter was delicious too
Great place for dinner highly recommend the gnocchi its just lovely. The warm chicken and bacon salad is a good little starter and would also make a great main to be honest I cant decide if I liked the chocolate pudding or cheesecake best (glad I went with a friend who shares)
The food was good and the service was excellent, ( if just that would get 5 * ), but the restaurant looks like a works canteen and has no atmosphere, you can hear everyones conversations, needs a good refurb.
The food was delicious and the service excellent. It does look more like a cafe than a restaurant inside but other than that it was all good ☺️
Had a 3 course meal and unlimited Prosecco on 1/7/21 absolutely Amazing Food ❤️ Beautifully presented, Drinks were topped up constantly, Bar staff was so polite and courteous would definitely recommend 👍👍
A bit hard to find but a lovely place! Very nice quality ingredients, good portion sizes and the waiter on the night gave a excellent service. Will come again!
Fabulous afternoon tea! Service was prompt and treats delicious. Will recommend.
Came here as part of a wowcher deal. We had a good experience. The waiter was good at refilling our bottomless prosecco glasses.Service - excellent.Food was good but nothing special, if Id paid full price for the main, i wouldve been let down. The chocolate mousse was divine though, couldve eaten five more!Id recommend though, nice place.Special shout out to Chloe - a true asset to the restaurant and very friendly!
Thank you for a lovely evening. We will return. Due to Covid19 it was unfortunately quiet. Good value for money and lovely food. Friendly serviceUpdate:Just returned in June 2021 booked a table for 14Everyone was very happy with the food and service, really good value for money. Excellent service, very attentive and helpful. Wonderful manager GregoryWe look forward to coming back again soon. Thank you all for a wonderful evening
Had a lovely time at the Savannah, we were greeted by a man called Greg who looked after us all evening. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable, will definitely be coming back with the family, fully recommended. Thank You
Wonderful freshly made afternoon tea and a very good tea selection, very filling and very tasty
Superb friendly service and nice afternoon tea in a lovely spacious modern room. The cafe/restaurant is 5 minutes walk from Euston Station and down a small side lane and so it is lovely and peaceful.
Excellent food as per the dietary instructions organised for our large party and not overpriced, nice decor especially the wall tree and pictures in the more private dining area upstairs, attentive staff. I tried dragonfruit for the first time.
Absolutely amazing food. Be sure to visit.
Went here for afternoon tea and it was lovely. First class service. Accommodating and attentive. The selection of tea was great and they tasted really nice. The scones were fresh warm and well baked. The sandwiches were nice and the cakes and pastries were fine. It was a nice variety. For the price it was exceedingly good.
The staff are wonderful, in particular Emily, she was very lovely and attentive. The food was very tasty, we went for afternoon tea, the scones were very fresh and beautifully baked and there is a very good tea selection. Very much recommend
If you are looking for an authentic, yet modern Afternoon Tea experience, this place be highly recommended to you! They serve the food in a cute little wooden rack/shelf, very instagrammable for my generation and very pleasant for all other generations! The staff is wonderfully nice, the atmosphere lovely and even though it is just located next to Euston Station, it is very quiet and calm. I would gladly come back to this place. Especially for visitors from abroad that may visit you in London, itll be a nice experience and less overwhelming here! The food is unbelievably outstanding and makes you feel like youre God in England.
We enjoyed our pre dinner cocktails, the Mojito was excellent. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere. A well presented varied menu offered something for everyone. Our lovely Scottish waitress all the way from Dundee could not have been more helpful.
The food was tasty and well cooked. We had the teriyaki salmon and seabass. However,I dont like restaurants that force you to order sides (the seabass only came with some vegetables but no potatoes or rice). Also, the portion size was too small! I left still hungry.. and that was including the side dish. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a train to catch and they did everything they could to get us served within our limited time, which is greatly appreciated.
My favourite place to go. I love the food! They plate it to such a high standard everything is perfect & flows beautifully. The FOH & BOH are so welcoming & polite they even kindly waved our surcharge fee how nice!
Nice decor. Decent service. Good food, although a bit pricey for what you get. Still had a nice time there with friends, using a Groupon discount.
Today was my partner and Is 3 year anniversary, we had been given a virgin experience voucher by a family member to celebrate it. A 3 course meal with a cocktail at the Savannah. To say it was a disaster would be an understatement. Before we even arrived the staff seemed rude on the phone, and seemingly knew nothing about the voucher. Part of this included my partner having to rearrange to an hour later than our original time (this was 3 hours before we were meant to be thereas she would be late, and we were sharply told it doesnt matter just be late! and then she immediately hung up.The main resturaunt was closed due to a private function, so we were eating next to the bar. This wasnt a problem but due to the function everyones orders were seemingly delayed. This was at no point communicated to us by the staff. When it came to ordering, the staff again seemingly knew nothing about the voucher and had to check what was valid with the offer. While they were checking we were given a cocktail each. We did not ask for the cocktail nor were we told what it was. My partner, who rarely drinks, found this especially odd as she didnt plan on drinking alcohol. After receiving our starters some half an hour in, perfectly reasonable, they were nice but very small leaving us eager for our mains. After waiting over an hour before our mains (when other tables, who had ordered after us, finally started recieving their mainswe inquired as to where ours were. We were first told that our offer didnt include mains, dispite the fact we had already ordered them, our voucher includes them, and we had been told they would be included. The waiter had even commented on how nice the cheese board was.We were then told by another member of the wait staff that our waiter had in fact forgotten to place the order for our mains, and it would be another 20 minutes before they would be ready. She decided it was actually our fault for not alerting them sooner, even though we had tried and failed to catch our waiters attention for the past 10 minutes. Prior to this we assumed it was the same delay affecting everyone else, so we didnt feel the need to query as any person normally would, especially since one gentlemen from another table had complained and had been told it was simply the kitchen struggling to cope with the event. If the restauraunt wasnt going to be able to cope with the private function, then they should not have closed the kitchen to the rest of the public. They then offered us the leftover meals from the private function upstairs as they apparently had some spare, while these wouldnt be hot they said theyd be at our table much sooner. We found this extremely insulting. How can a restauraunt, whose mains cost around £17 each, pride itself on the quality of its food with this kind of attitude. We decided this was enough and stormed out of the resturaunt. Instead we visited the nearby McDonalds who served us far more food far quicker. Perhaps the Savannah should consider new ownership.I am more than disappointed with the standard of service we received and would advice everyone to steer clear, there are plenty of other nearby restauraunts that will actually serve you.
I booked the private room upstair for a surprise bridal shower as I absolutely loved the design and space of the rooms. The staff here were amazing, professional and very attentive to our needs. Afternoon tea party as a themed party was the best choice especially for a place like this. We were provided with a lot of different sandwiches and pastries and sauces. I could not have complimented this place enough. The guest and the guest of honour was very happy and could not believe how generous this place was. I would defo come back again. Thank you soooo much
I was bought a Groupon voucher for sparkling afternoon tea as a present. I didnt even know this bar/restaurant existed as it is tucked behind Euston Road in a quiet side road. Im so glad I received this present otherwise I wouldnt have tried this place. When we arrived the staff was friendly and greeted us with a smile. We were shown to our table although we were given a choice of tables which was nice. We was asked if we had been there before and as we hadnt the waiter went through the menu and asked if we had any dietary requirements. Ive been to many afternoon teas and would definitely recommend this place. The sandwiches were really fresh and very tasty. The cakes, scones and mango panacotta shot were really nice and a good variety. The tea also came with a glass of prosecco and you swap your tea for coffee. The staff were helpful, attentive without being intrusive. I will definitely return.
Ive stayed at the hotel for a week and had dinner there every night. You have two options: the bar menú, with salads, sandwitches, burgers, fish and chips,... And a la carté, with interesting propposals from their chef. Theres also a cocktail menu with choices for all tastes. The waiters are really nice and welcoming. Theyre always checking on you to see if everything is ok. The place is clean, foods fresh, and the service is fast. Totally recomend you visit them either youre at the hotel or passing by.
A group of us went for afternoon tea, and I was absolutely fabulous. The service was good, the food was great and the atmosphere was nice. I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
Very pleasant experience. I was very late but staff accommodated me and provided a good service as well as excellent food. Would go again
Close to Euston station bit a bit hidden due to roadworks.Decor is dark but with enough lighting whoever, just ok. Its a funny shape and its like a maze of doors and rooms including in the toilet area.Place was very cold who forced us to keep our coats until a nice table attendant realised and put the heating on. Still kept my scarff. As for the for, more arty than quantity (definitely no my thingexcept for my fish that was a decent plate, fresh and nicely done.Food is nice but scarce as in tapas, fresh and tasty nevertheless.Desserts are quite disappointing, bland and lack of taste.Toilets are way downstairs but are clean and well equipped with everything.Service was ambiguous as one lady was adorable and the other pretty harsh.Being soany places to eat in London, we wont repeat in this one anytime soon.
i dont recommend this place. we went there and they have a small staircase barely fits 3 people and it was too busy. we waited a long time for a waiter and we didnt even have a menu.we wanted more time to decide and the arrogant waiter had no patience .he left us and said hed bring us what we ordered. later,he gave us something we didnt even ordered. one thing decent;chips. we only liked the chicken nuggets.
Not recommend. Food one hour late, they said too busy upstairs, so no time to serve our dinner. Food not nice, small portions. Took over 30 minutes to ask for second drinks , had to wait again. In the end, had to take the food away as no time to eat it. I thought 2.5 hours be enough for fast food such as this restaurant but clwarly not.Bad attitude when serving. Wouldnt go again.
Scones were good and the best item. Sandwiches were decent and above average. The pastries/desserts were a real let down. Not fresh and seemed to be taken out of a refrigerator.Tea was nice and generous. Setting was alright but the wait staff seemed disinterested and didnt come across as particularly hospitable.
Fresh food and cozy environment. Kind and helpful staff
To all visitors considering having a meal at this Resturant. Think twice.... I had an extremely unpleasant experience there where the waitress poured a glass of wine all over me, not only ruining my Burberry suit but also my enjoyment with friends. I had to borrow clothes to change into. The management attitude was this type of thing happens all the time... Really I’m surprise that an upscale establishment such as this would consider this normal acceptable behaviour of there staff.
The menu was very disappointing with limited options. My family of 4 were the only people who ordered food and yet it took ages to arrive...there were probably only 6 other customers but they had only ordered drinks (maybe someone warned them beforehand! When the food eventually arrived it was all cold so we asked for one of the dishes to be reheated which they did for us but then we were too embarrassed to tell them they all needed reheating so we endured it! Then to top it off we had flies constantly swarming around us and one landed in a glass of wine. The toilets were left in a state with tissue thrown everywhere and soap splashed around the place. It was all just dreadful. Staff weren’t overly friendly either although I will give them credit for offering a slight discount when we raised our concerns after. It was still pretty pricey. I am never returning ever again and you shouldn’t either!
Food was not good: duck was dry, gnocchi were inedible. Multiple guests that evening were unwell. Cocktails were very watered down.Staff was clearly annoyed with having to serve our table even though there were few other customers. Will definitely not be going back.
Tasty ribs, chips and burger. Nice staff :)
Decided to eat a quick dinner there and did not like it at all. The tomato soup was okay but way too expensive. Also had the garlic & chilli spinach and could not eat more than a few bites. It had a weird flavour and was waaaaaay too salty. The bread that came with the soup was awful and tasted burnt. The service was not as good as well, the workers seemed not very happy. I definitely feel like the lunch would have probably been better and suited us more since the dinner options were very fancy and therefore very very expensive.
Ive been to this restaurant a few times. The staff are always friendly, polite, and extra helpful, it really adds to the experience. The food and cocktails are great too. We didnt enjoy our hot drinks, but the overall experience was positive.
I have been here twice, the first time was for a light lunch and it was really good. The second time was last night for an evening meal. I had the lamb, it was so dry I couldnt bring myself to eat it. It also lacked flavour. The service was really pleasant so I chose to tip generously and go somewhere else for dinner. I will definitely not be returning. (As a side note, I am South African and there is nothing South African about the menu or flavour- good beer though!)
Friendly staff, food was over cooked on the tempura and undercooked on the chips side order. Coffee served warm not hot. Friend only at a bit of his main but wasn’t asked why.
Visited today for afternoon tea (booked through Groupon- they provide a wide tea selection and the food served was fresh and tasty. Kristina/Christina (apologies, not sure of the spelling!was incredibly attentive, kind and friendly. The decor of the restaurant is very chic and modern. I’ll be booking another one very soon, or perhaps I might sample some of their other dishes! Thanks again for a wonderful experience.
The presentation of the food was great, but taste average. Tofu steak tasteless, ox cheek sauce bitter. We were not offered free dessert. I found out later their special offer is free dessert if you order a starter and a main. Service ok. No baby changing facilities! I would not recommend this place.
Really good service (staff were goodand afternoon tea was enjoyable. really good value witha groupon. Scones were delicious. Only negative sandwiches - bread had gone hard from presumably the sandwiches lying around. Really close to Euston station.
Walking into a restaurant which is empty with a single waiter is never a good sign, but the food was actually great and it picked up in business soon enough. Surprisingly enjoyable.
A hidden gem around euston station. Great place for a quick bite enroute. Food here was surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Great signs on the walls too.
The service was excellent, staff very friendly and helpful. Although we had a Groupon deal, we received perfect food and drink. Will go there again!
We took our family there to have a 3 course meal there. I really liked the decor of this place, it was chic and modern. We all had their pork belly & scallop for starter, I absolutely loved it. Second courses included duck breast, chicken and ox cheeks. I ordered the duck breast, I thought it was decent but I like duck legs better usually. My husband loved his ox cheeks and I did too! Its nice that the place is tucked away in a quiet area away from busy Euston. Its just a nice break from all the busy night owls in Soho!
