I had the pleasure of going to Saunders Farm to check out their Halloween attractions with a group of friends. I was totally blown away by how stunning and eye popping every little detail was. It was super creepy in the best kind of way. You could tell that a lot of professionalism and attention went into every attraction offered this year. The staff were amazing and the food was unexpectedly delicious. I had a wood fired pizza and tasty cider. I would return just for these alone! I cant wait to go again next year.

Saunders Farm has been one of my most favourite places since I was a child, I even used to work there! I can say that a lot has obviously changed over the years. The staff seem less friendly (in fact not even giving a smile to me, happened with multiple employees), the food is not enjoyable and over priced. At one point I wanted the stew and could not purchase it because the restaurant that was supposed to sell it was not even open. The haunts are less scary (no actors where walking around scaring guests throughout the park- I do think this was due to lack of staff this year. The hayride was going WAY too fast (in fact I heard that 2 people FELL off and one of their employees had to go to ER). My advice for next year would be: do not oversell tickets. Most of the reviews are to do with horrendous wait times. 2. Lower ticket sales to match competition (Cannemore is only $35 per person compared to yours at $603. Focus on customer satisfaction and safety. To be brutally honest; your tickets are incredibly overpriced and not worth the money. Dissatisfied and honest a little sad because I feel this so place has lost a lot of the magic it used to have.

Had such an amazing time. Everything was great from the haunted houses, actors, hayride absolutely everything.so impressed definitely making it an annual tradition. I even woke up with no voice. And the DJs were amazing. Entertainment during line ups definitely helps 👌 🙂

Nice to visit during the Fall season in preparation for Halloween. They have a nice selection of cider that you can take home. Also, two restaurants are available with one serving wood fired pizza and another serving Mac and cheese and pretzels. The wagon ride was kinda cool as you get to tour different attractions. Lastly, you can navigate through the two mazes and theyre not too difficult.

This was my first time at Saunders Farm FrightFest and I (in my mid 30shad a blast! We were only able to go through 4 of the 5 attractions, but each one was filled with screams and laughs. The lines were long (over half an hour for most), but having live djs and snacks/cider for sale on the side made it the most enjoyable line experience Ive had. Plus dancing to keep warm was very helpful -- better layering will be enforced next time.

Probably one of the best and most organized haunted attractions Ive been to. The staff were amazing, the attractions were awesome! The food was tasty. My favorite attractions were the shambles and the coven. The costumes and designs were amazing, as well for the acting. A lot of hard work goes into this event. My only complaint was that the actual attendees were rude—I dressed up for Halloween and get bullied by some full grown adults (to the point of verbally yelling at them to leave me alone). I caught some more other adults smoking weed just a foot outside the exit door after noticing some children have attended as well.To those attending Saunders Farm, perhaps go several days before Halloween and not on the Halloween Night itself to avoid the misfits. Other than that, please do go if you havent already!P.s, the RIP tickets saved so much time. There was a massive line that wouldnt budge, but I got to the ride in less than a minute!

Some interesting things but definitely not worth the price. I went both in summer in August and then fright fest last night. Mazes werent nicely kept up. There wasnt much to do in the summer, honestly. We stayed only about an hour with a 7 yr old and 15 yr old. For fright fest, $53 a person and barely anyone scaring anyone. Nice special effects but didnt have any scary effects. Very disappointed. I wont be going back

This has been such an amazing experience! The attractions, the decor and the overall site plan has been clearly thoroughly thought out and fantastically executed! Even with the price on the higher end (compared to other same type of « Spooky farm » experiences), I personally think it has been absolutely worth it! Every single staff encountered was welcoming and really into their roles! The food (especially the pizza!!), the drinks (ciders and beers), gift shop, music are just a few of the enjoyable things found at Saunders Farm. This is definitely going to be a new annual tradition! Thank you to the wonderful staff for an amazing experience.A special thanks to NAYEER at the CiderHouse for being attentive, funny and just such a pleasant staff to have encountered!100% would recommend this place, young or old!

Tickets are expensive but the kids (age 10enjoyed the activities. They found shambles terrifying (loved itbut the hayride didnt scare them at all. Staff were AMAZING with their acting and customer service. The lines are too long for my liking and RIP tickets are too expensive. Wont be able to do this again for a few years.

We went for Saunders Fright Fest. They changed their ticket policy a week before we came so you could only go through all the mazes once. Was disappointing because this was a major change and only mentioned tiny in the fine print. Our group bought tickets for 6:30 and another friend bought a ticket for 9:00 since they had to work late. Because of the change, we just had to sit and wait while the lines got long. We only found out because at the beginning of our first maze, they crossed the initials out on our bracelet. We ended up having to go through the attractions without her because the lines and reviews suggested to. But her boyfriend waited. Thank god we did! When she showed up, lines were so long and the park closed before she got to go through anything.I appreciated their attempt to make the lines less boring with a DJ at one and entertainment in others. But for the price of the ticket, you should be allowed to go through as many times as you’d like. Especially since it has remained the same price (if not MOREsince this new policy was introduced. Felt a little ripped off and went to Halloween Haunt the following weekend. Was busy, but got way more for the same price. I hope next time they figure out their number of tickets sold issue rather than limiting the guests experience bc I used to love this place!

As someone who grew up with Saunders Farm basically right in their backyard, it was a place I visited often as I grew up. I can remember when it was just 2 attractions, a haunted hayride and the barn of terror. I visited 2 days ago and I was amazed at all the changes that have taken place over the last couple of years(its been about 3 or 4 years since I had been). The amount of creativity and effort that has been put in to all the attractions blew my mind. I had an amazing experience and regardless of what other reviews say, I think its totally worth the $50. Theyve done some amazing work and the whole place just has great vibes! Also love that they now sell their cider there and youre able to walk the grounds with alcohol in hand;Amazing job to the Saunders family and all their team!

Always the best Halloween attraction in Ottawa hands down. I like that the day time attractions are spooky for the kids without being over the top. Fright Fest at night is SO fun for the adults and actually scary enough to really get you. We love returning year after year and plan to continue doing so!

I thought this years haunts were great! I arrived at 6:30pm and by 9:30pm I had done everything. I only waited in line for about 10 mins per attraction which isnt bad at all considering what other places are like right now. I thought Coven was a little lacklustre, but everything else was very well done. My favourite was by far The Shambles (with the pig creatures). It was terrifying!! And I thoroughly enjoyed the tractor driver we got for the Haunted Hayride- he seemed to really enjoy his job and did some fun tricks along the track to enhance the experience. Would visit again :)

We went for the daytime Halloween event, we had to book a time slot to show up but I feel like it didn’t even matter because there was way too many people there, the line up for the wagon ride was well over an hour and the line ups for food/water were ridiculous, the stage show only showed twice during the day one at 12 one at 2 which was not listed anywhere when I booked the tickets. The bouncy things for kids was just a free for all they make you wait in line but nobody is timing people for getting off and on. I didn’t see anyone dressed up as in staff walking around. The play-structures is where my kids spent the majority of the time so I won’t be wasting over 100 to ever go here again!

It was awesome. The actors did a really good job. A little pricy but there are alot of people working including parking attendants to security. Downfall was the hay ride. The scene is set for real fright but it fell short. I thought the driver was Freddy Cruger and when he shuts off the lights as hes driving the tractor. I was hoping hed stop, pull out his hand of knoves and scare the begeebers out of us. All in all a great night out. Micheal The Designers Wflowers approved.

Went along with friends. Was looking forward to the craft cider and wood fired pizza the most. Pizza was burnt black. We all had the cider flight and all agreed the ciders had odd tastes to them almost chemical like and a bit watered down. Was disappointed there. Lines were long, but some moved at a decent pace and some had some entertainers. The DJ at shambles was good; but was the slowest moving line. Hot chocolate at snack stands was very good. The farm store didnt have enough change to give people their correct change back.EDIT: They offered to refund food & drink since this is not the usual normalcy for the experience. Very appreciative that their customer feedback and support is important to them. + 2 stars for that alone.

Went last night and it was a great way to start our Halloweek! Strolling around the park was nice, the haunts were all cool with the most excellent actors in The Coven. I mostly enjoyed The Shambles as there was more of a scare with that setting. Had some soft cider there and some fudge to go. Creepy haunts and a nice walk around with a little history here and there. The fire show was an unexpected plus as we were going to skip the stage show not knowing what it was but really dug it. The only things Id want is better coffee and a warning the hayride may splatter mud around after the rain. Other than that, still 5 stars for a fun date night for horror fans and perfect fall atmosphere.Highly recommend the RIP tickets since the lineups got long fast.

Went to the Fright Fest at Saunders on a weekend and loved every minute of it. It was pretty scary, and loved seeing my friends get scared. The haunted hay ride and the barn of terror were my personal favourites. The wait times were not to bad an I was able to do every ride there and still have time to walk around and explore. Would highly recommend this for anyone whos looking to have a scare in the Halloween season.

Go here if you want to wait 1 hour+ in line for a 5 minute ride! Only thing good was that they marketed their hard cider, cotton candy and popcorn while you wait over an hour for one ride. Their displays have gone downhill this year and are mediocre at best. Would not recommend, it is not worth $50. There are 5 attractions and you’ll only be able to make it to 2 of them as you wait in line most of the time.

Certain responses from the owner state that capacity was reduced by 50% of prepandemic levels but I cannot see how that is possible. We waited about an hour in line for each attraction ! The park itself is great at night but with the overloaded capacity you aren’t able to enjoy even half of it unless you show up at the earliest time slot. Tickets for 8pm onwards should be half the price of early tickets as you can do maybe 1-2 of the attractions after this time. There also appeared to be much fewer actors this year and some of them were mediocre at best. Ownership definitely needs to take a step back and reconsider a few aspects of the FrightFest as it appears many people will not return for another year after this years experience

I spent a lovely sunny day at Saunders farm during the "pumpkin days". The multitude of attractions and activities made it fun for all the family, from the little ones to the grown ups, we had a quality time! The kids loved the Zipline, all of us loved the haunted houses and the hay ride.I recommend this family owned family to everyone, for a day in nature and in a full social and family friendly environment.Check out the photos to have a taste of what it feels like to visit Saunders farm 🤩Reviewed by Tarek Belghith from RZ Network Inc Canada.

Bought a group pass of 8 tickets, booked for 7:30pm. Waited in huge line ups and was only able to do 3 attractions. Poor actors, some forgot to do what they were supposed to, not scary, and a huge waste of money. Been in the past and was so much fun, will not return again and pat this amount of money for what you get. Only allowed to do each attraction once is not how you should run it. Thunk long and hard about how this is ran.

I have never seen Saunders farm this bad in over ten years. We booked a 8:30pm time slot and were only able to do two attractions. They completely overbook/pack the farm and wait times for the attractions are over an hour. It’s very sad because Saunders farm has the ability/tools to be an awesome place to visit. I have no idea why they even offer a later time slot when they close at 10:30 and attractions take over an hour. Save your $50 and don’t bother going, complete waste of money.

Had an amazing time with my daughter. Therere lots of activities to do: mazes, bouncing zone, zip lines, theater, different playgrounds, finding gemstones, scary tours. Well make visiting this place a tradition.I heard the haunted barn is a bit scary and not that suitable for children but we ended up not doing it.

We just visited the farm today, I should give it a 5 star with all the activities my kids have enjoyed BUT the washrooms are really dirty which is very concerning especially that we have all sorts of microorganisms, making people sick these days.My kids love the hayride and the mazes! Will be back next time and I hope to see a well-maintained washrooms knowing that we have so many little kids around.

I was so excited to visit after reading some of the reviews. The wagon ride was okay, not much too see beside some brushes and dirt roads. The play structure was good for young kids. Everywhere was busy with the summer camp kids there. There were five mazes but two of them was full of mud that my kids couldnt walk on, and one maze was closed for maintaince. The worse was the bathroom. It was smelly and pees everywhere on the floor. One man bathroom was working while the other one was out of order. There were hundred kids joining the summer camp there. They should have another bathroom somewhere if that many summer camp kids on site. At the end of the trip, my kids even asked me why would they called a "farm" if there were no animals or crop at all... Paid over $ 80 for a family of 4 to visit totally not worth it...wont be next time!

This is an ideal outing for families with young kids. Everything is outdoors. There are trampolines, wooden pirate ships, tractor rides, a splash pad, tree house play structures, puppet shows and amazing tree and shrub mazes. There are shaded picnic tables if you want to bring your own lunch and burgers, veggie burgers, homemade chips and hotdogs if you want to get something there. I highly recommend it. Well worth the drive if youre from out of town. Tickets have to be bought in advance.

Went today for the summer maze days. WOW! Such an incredible day out for my 6 and 8 year old! There is SO MUCH to do, the play structures are brilliant, mazes ranged from easy to challenging, witch mountain was endless amounts of energy burning fun. Id recommend bringing socks if youre going to go on the bouncing pillows because the surface gets a little hot for tiny feet but man they had so much fun bouncin. Tractor ride was great, the staff are so friendly and helpful, there was even a puppet show! At the end of a hot day with lots of energy burning fun, mamma was able to relax in the shade on one of the many picnic tables while the kids played in the splash pad.If you dont want to spend a lot extra you can bring a picnic, theres tons of places to sit down and eat, or they have delicious hotdogs, burgers and frozen treats but theyre a little pricey.Very nicely stocked gift shop. The place is clean, very well kept and really beautiful. We spent 5 hours there and we loved every second. I loved how its not crazy spaced out and everything is close together.Well worth the ticket cost!!

Went over the holidays for the Country Christmas Drive-Through Light Show & Town Square Market. Loved it. Market access was free, but proof of vaccination was required. Store was open and well stocked, food was available on site. Lots of fire pits available to stay warm. Not a lot of the park to walk through at night due to the drive event.Drive through event was gorgeous, worth the price. Will start making this an annual event.

My almost 5 year old could probably spend all day at the play structures. They are awesome and so unique. I did not like how the rides/haunted houses didnt specify what age they are appropriate for. I was going to wait in line for one and then another mother who had just done it said they would not recommend it for any child under 10. I definitely do not think its worth $26 per person, but it was a good time for my kid.

Visited Saunders farm with cousin and family who has 2 young kids. We all had a good time during Halloween month. Couple of attractions are very nice while others were not bad. Kids will specially have a great time in kid safe environment. It wasnt very crowded so staying at distance wasnt a huge issue. Zipline was very nice but additional $15 per person. Overall a very good time spent. Picked up some pumpkins on the way out 👍. I didnt end up going to the mazes but they have 5 options. Wish they had couple of more child friendly rides instead of 5 mazes. The tractor ride was very nice too.
