Nice seafood restaurant. It actually smells of the sea here.

The service and ambiente is nice, the quality of the food is by far not worth the price. Far away of the level the restaurant supposed to be.If you ask for seafood and not sauce hiden taste, its more complicated 😉Lot to do to become a great restaurant which worth the price.

Good fish

Nice place with a good service as it should be in a high level restaurant. The problem is the food. High quality ingredients yes but the cuisine did not impressed me. I mean is not bad but I will not remember it as a great dinner and since it is very expensive I would probably go back. Nice people watching!

The food was not bad but definitely over priced for the quality you get. Wine selection was also rather limited. The lobster was pretty good but I would recommend to stay away from the appetizers. We had the oysters and a platter with raw fish and a tuna tartar. Both didnt live up to the expectation.

I read all the reviews on here and came prepared. I had my online translator phrases ready of "please no appetizers" and "I wont pay for anything I didnt order." I was extremely happy because not only did they not force anything on me, they couldnt have been nicer. I came for lunch, which was great. I also am going to Nosso for dinner.Service was great and the food was very good as well. Yes, it is very expensive by Brazilian standards, but not as expensive by US standards. I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu (Lobster Thermador), a mojito, and dessert. Mine was just less than $500 reals with 12% service charge, or less than a $100 USD. You also have to keep in mind that youre paying for probably the best food presentation that youre going to get anywhere. This is a great date place (presentationgreat food, just be prepared for the price. I would absolutely go again.

This was some best seafood I have ever experienced! The service was too notch and the ambiance romantic. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Definitely over rated !! Third time wasn’t pleasant, the other 2 were mediocre!Super Overpriced , even if you are an American! Do not recommend!

Delicious pastas especially the seafood pastas. After a day at Ipanema Beach we enjoyed cocktails, a pisco sour for me and my associate had a negroni. For dinner he had the lobster thermidor. A sight to see. Full lobster, creamy, mash potatoes plus risotto on the side. I ordered 2 bowls of pasta. The wait staff did not think Id be able to finish. Please 🖐️. I had a creamy fettuccine with smoked Parma Ham and field mushrooms and plenty of parma cheese. For my second bowl I had truffle pasta with chunks of lobster in a creamy sauce. So delicious and satisfying. We topped it all off with a bottle of Brazilian tempranillo. Must try this restaurant if youre ever in Ipanema.

Its hard for me to comprehend how this came out to be a top rated restaurant. I expected more from a restaurant of this caliber... The taste of the dishes, the service, and the ambience were average at best.

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SEAFOOD MY WIFE AND I HAVE HAD IN RIO. 10 STARS, GREAT SERVICE, FRIENDLY AND ALTHOUGH THEY LACKED ENGLISH SPEAKING STAFF THEY TRIED REALLY HARD AND NO MISTAKES WERE MADE ON THE ORDER. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND.

A great time. Fresh fish and shellfish on display. Head waiter speaks English. Had the sole and the clam linguine with a bottle of brazilian merlot. Service was fantastic. I would be a regular here.

It’s always a joy and a good time at Satyricon.The service is impeccable and the quality of ingredients reflects on the great cooking.They excelled at every dish we’ve had so far.Their wine selection was also very good.It’s our go-to good quality place for a good meal and recommending to friends.The restaurant has a vibrant vibe and is very accommodating.

Fantastic food, nice, professional service. Everything served in a nice atmosphere. Great wine selection. The prices are not really low, but in my opinion they are adequate for the quality of the dishes and the service. I definitely recommend it.

Service was slow and snobby but I liked the octopus salad.Linguine dela Chef were drowned in cream, disliked...For my feeling overpriced.

Great seafood restaurant. The ambiance is upscale but not uptight. Quiet and peaceful. Food was delicious. Surprisingly, the cocktails were only in 30 R$ range, or about 9-10 USD range, even though the food prices are definitely upscale. However, the fish was fresh and well prepared and appetizers (especially the octupus salad and carpacciowere great. The cocktails were also delicious, ranging from classics like Kir Royale and Dry Martini to spicy house cocktails. Overall, a great place for seafood with Italian and Mediterranean feel.

Great seafood, well worth a visit

1980’s style restaurant that aims to extract all your money. Remember the cover charges ? Well if you don’t..... you will soon...in fact as soon as you sit down and BEFORE you open the menu. Your table will be filled with what you didn’t order and are expected to eat . This must be their most profitable way of making money as why else would they do this? That aside, it takes away the pleasure of dining out.... exploring the menu, deciding what to eat, chilling out for a while . You will feel the pressure to order and spend money. There are far better restaurants with superior service and food within walking distance ..... start walking!

Elegant high end atmosphere. First off, there is a cover charge for all the bread and appetizer they drop off. We had the grilled seafood platter. Lobster, langostine, and shrimp were made to perfection! Octopus salad’s texture was unbalanced. White fish was just okay and tasteless. A bit overpriced. Wouldn’t come back again when I return to rio.

Extremely pushy . We had hardly been sat down when the waiter demanded us to order still or sparkling water. And 4/5 starter dishes from cover charge plonked down on the table. This is within 2 minutes and we hadn’t even opened the menu! The head waiter initially wanted us to sit in the front away from everyone. I wonder if it was because we were Indian? The waiter insisted on talking in Portuguese even though we told him we couldn’t speak it and the head waiter knew!We walked out . Shameful .

Beautiful and elegant it was pleasure to sit and relax. Service was very professional and friendly. Food was fresh and exquisite King Crab and fresh Lobster wow!

A very fine restaurant specializing in Seafood, especially crustaceans. I had a delicious Seafood risotto and they didn’t scrimp on the amount of lobster, shrimp, prawns that they put in. It tasted amazingly nice. The service was exemplary and the staff was extremely knowledgeable. Being a foreigner, I was attended to by one of the managers who even gave me some of their house chocolates to take with me because I mentioned how delicious they were... highly recommended.

Pretty good Italian restaurant. They display the catches of the day so that the diners could select the fish. The seafood platter wasnt really impressive but the fried prawns looked really lovely. The Italian main dishes were pretty decent and we enjoyed the meal.

Be careful with this restaurant !!! I sat down and they brought bread and some little snacks before Without asking me and before bringing the menu. As normal, I thought it was courtesy of the house and then when they brought the bill, they had charged me!!!!! Sooo rude and then the server said it was a normal thing in Brasil. I have been in Brazil for 3 weeks and this was the first time that happened ... very bad experience and food wasn’t that great for the price .. I paid $100 for a plate of seafood pasta and a glass of wine , ah of course and The bread and welcome appies... would never be back !

The best sea food place not only in Brazil but in the world! I highly recommend this place! Its a blessing having it in Rio! And the sea food salad?! OMG is to die for. All see food dishes are fabulous and delicious. Pure Italian taste. Try Tiramisu for desert! Amazing! St

The food was amazing and the service was excellent. A bit pricey compared to other restaurants in the area but you definitely get what you pay for.

It was a highly recommended place, the starter combination was a real delight and interesting for the palate, however my main (the most expensive dish on the menuof crustacean combo was a real let down the lobster was dry and rubbery. The rest of the dishes were well prepared and presented and had wonderful flavour.

Fresh seafood, but mediocre cooking and a high price tag. They serve parboiled rice with a creamy sauce and call it risoto. Really, don’t order “risoto” with your dish. And don’t take satyricon too seriously. It’s an ok but sleazy place.

A group of 5 of us had dinner here last week. One of our group is a vegan. This isn’t the first place you’d choose for vegan because it’s a an amazing fresh seafood experience. But the services went to extra effort to address our vegan’s needs and concerns and she left very happy. The other 4 meat eaters enjoyed a large grilled platter of mixed seafood can’t wait to go back!

Excellent service, amazing seafood selection. We tried the whole grilled snapper, and honestly - a single fish could be enough for two people. Staff was overly attention and expert on helping us choose the right Brazilian wine for the evening.Crustaceans are the restaurant specialty. We plan on trying it on the next few days for a special occasion.

The atmosphere and wait staff were great. I ordered the cod, which was over done. There were so many bones in the two pieces, essentially I had a big waste pile on my plate after I tried to enjoy the cod.

Good quality seafood restaurant. Very expensive and price not justified. 930 reals for two starters, two main courses and wine. No dessert, no coffe. The staff is quite distant and not very wellcoming. Another negative aspect, they serve some appetizer before giving the menu, and you discover that it is charged 72R. Even if you havent ordererd it. Definitely we wont go there anymore.

A much anticipated visit, as my date Ana Carla invited me over to Satyricon. Great Italian and Mediterranean food choices from appetizers to entrees and I was most impressed with the extensive wine list, specially the French and Italian. Small, intimate, and crisp service. We had a terrific time at Satyricon. The decor is pleasant with a stylish twist. And the menu was well received. Great selections, and all were presented beautifully. Looking forward to going back soon. Regards to my attendant who , like myself, spent time visiting Alfaro, La Rioja – Spain ; great host! Indeed he knows about wines.

Food is pretty good, and his portioned. The place is very nicely decorated. The service is good. It is air conditioned for the hot days, and have WiFi. The prices are very expensive though. Much more than I think it is worth. Many plates are 120-160 reals each.

Seafood heaven, great service, beautiful ambience.

The wine list is very good. The appetizers are delicious and the basket of breads is well assorted. The ambience is pleasant, but prices are not cheap.

My hotel recommended this restaurant. Very very disappointed. The food was adequate at best, the service was absolutely atrocious. Over priced, snobbish, inattentive. Even after I spoke with the owner, not so much as an apology offered. There are so many better places in Ipanema. Dont waste your time or money here

Overpriced, fettucini comes half cooked & they dont even bring you the usual spoon to eat your pasta with ; as is the rule. Manager woman very rude, she charged me R$122 for a single glass of scotch whiskey !They treat you as if you should be grateful that they gave you a table.Extremely arrogant place, for nothing actually.
