Neapolitan wood-fired pizza and Southern Italian cuisine in contemporary exposed brick dining room.
Best Italian restaurant in London!! Great Pizza and Pasta!!! Probably the best ever in my life! Come here again for sure!!
Take my friends and family here regularly, it’s my go-to restaurant, amazing proper Italian food, staff are amazing and helpful, food is the best Italian food I’ve ever had in England! Price spent was including alcohol.
Soggy pizza + ££££ but atmosphere is nice.Recommend for anyone sitting downstairs not to have many layers as it’s boiling next to the oven
Sartori used to be better a few years ago.I had not come in a while and visited this weekend. While the food tasted good and provided good value for money, both my friend and I have been sick afterwards, we had lunch there on Saturday and were still both sick from the food on Sunday evening. We probably wont be going anymore.
Located near to Leicester Square, this relatively small Italian restaurant is easy to find and offers a varied and tasty menu. There is not a lot of space but its got a cosy atmosphere. It offers a good variety of starters, pasta, pizza, meat and fish dishes. We ate at lunch time but expect it to be busy in the evenings.
Amazing seafood pasta and friendly service. Ordered the linguine with king prawns and mussels and the scialatielli with clams and courgettes, personally enjoyed the linguine more but both were great! Definitely coming back to try the other dishes on the menu!
Buffalina pizza (margherita pizzawas so goood! The papardelle with porcini and zucchini was great! Capriciosa pizza was great too!!Vibe is laid back and service was good. Will definitely be back 🍕❤️🍝
Food was good, but not great and service was either rushed or slow and inconsistent staff members. Atmosphere wasnt good sitting upstairs as tables were crammed in closely and decor quite stark. Staff were constantly rushing around turning tables and dealing with walk ins so we didnt feel as comfortable taking our time. We had at least three or four different people bringing our food and drink with not much table side service or communication with each other. Service charge was then included in our bill, which was fine, but the staff member taking our card payment was then urging us to choose how much to add as a tip on top of our payment which irked us somewhat as it hadnt exactly been great service. It needs to be one or the other, service added or tip of our choosing, not both. I wouldnt rush back but would consider sitting downstairs if we did, to see if that is a more relaxed experience. It felt more café than restaurant for us and more effort was spent on turning tables and cramming people in than a great dining experience.
Excellent service. Staff was friendly, attentive and extremely quick. Had the ‘parpadelle con zucchine e crema di porcini’ and it was cooked to perfection. The wild mushroom taste was deep and incredible. Portions aligned with what one would see in Italy (large). Great price considering the area. Will definitely come back!
I was very disappointed by this last visit at Sartori. I have been here before to eat pizza and I really enjoyed it. This time I booked to bring my friends for dinner but the place seemed to be too busy and there was not enough staff.First of all, I ordered some octopus salad as a starter while they ordered some pizza to share. Their pizza was finished and my starter was yet to come, I had to go and check myself with the waiter. Then I had some grilled fish as a main course and I was not impressed by the taste and freshness of the mussels. Finally, we had to ask three times for the bill as they ignored us.If you are in the city during the week and want to try their pizza I say it’s ok, otherwise I suggest you to choose somewhere else.
This is the second time we visited this establishment. We were greeted by Francesco and were seated despite the fact that they had reservations. We were explained the time frame we had available and Francesco went above and beyond to seat us despite the restaurant being booked. Our server was Rosie and she gave us plenty of time to order however, she did not leave us waiting. The food came quickly and despite that, was cooked properly and everything was delicious. She did not skimp on the parmigiano either and we were over the moon about it.When we wanted the bill, Rosie was attentive and made eye contact immediately and the bill came within the minute. We will absolutely come again. The restaurant is authentic Italian and incomparable with any other restaurants of "the same caliber".Thank you Sartori. Your servers do a great job, your cooks know their stuff. Please keep these standards. The workers deserve all the praise. Celebrate them, because we, as customers, celebrate your standards. We absolutely recommend.
We found this place by chance and we loved it! The service was great, we got a table right away even though the restaurant was full (we got the small table by the door but we didnt mind). And the food was incredible! Both the Lasagna and the Pasta were just perfect. The Tiramisu was very good also.
Nothing special. The food was ok, big portions for central London and a good pricing. We had a salad, pasta with clams and mushrooms and a pizza. Their taste was average. For example, the garlic bread in the salad had too much garlic. The place is quite blunt and boring with no charm especially if you are seated downstairs like we did. The waiter was quick, attentive and warm.Overall the place is average.
Excellent experience! We booked a big table with +16 people and all the dishes did not disappoint. All tasty and fresh 100%The staff was amazing and very friendly.I would recommend definitely to come and dine in this restaurant!Thank you again 😊
Nice atmosphere.. friendly staff.. delicious food. Can’t ask for more.
Very very good foodPatatoza.... Its an experience!!!Everything you order is delicious!!!
Great food, great location. Would visit again
Perfectly located right next to the tube. The reservation was easy to arrange and when we wanted to increase our booking we were accommodated with no fuss. Arrived and all the staff were friendly. The wine recommendation was superb, the garlic bread superb. Then the mains were all great. Pizzas, pastas and there is a rib eye dish with blue cheese which is out of this world. They accommodated a birthday sing along with cake and we all left very happy. Reasonably priced too, especially considering the located. Well definitely be back.
I have to be honest and say that I wasn’t that impressed with the food, nor the attitude of our server. We decided to visit here for lunch, prior to going to watch a show after I read the great reviews on here.Firstly there really wasn’t a great deal of options for vegetarians - for the mains there was maybe three options, and one of them wasn’t suitable as it contained Parmesan! Most of the dishes also contained mozzarella, so we questioned if it was free from rennet, and the server assured us it was, but I have to admit I’m not so sure, and I don’t think she was either. When my friend asked to confirm the salads we ordered were without Parmesan, the server was quite abrupt. I think she was upset because we were asking her a lot of questions about the menu, so we brushed it off.The salad itself was bland and nothing to write home about. It was just a bowl overfilled with lettuce leaves and topped with a few slices of tomatoes, mange-tout, mozzarella, and garlic bread. There was no dressing, and it was without doubt the most uninspired, boring, and blandest salad I’ve ever had.Maybe other dishes on the menu are delicious, but their lack of choice for vegetarians didn’t really leave us with many options.Would I recommend this restaurant? No.Would I return? No thank you, I’d get tastier food and better service in a Prêt.
Walked in to this restaurant. There were 2 free tables, host seats us at the corner next to the door away from all the other patrons. 2 Caucasian ladies come in after us with no reservation and get escorted to a better seating area downstairs. Unfortunately theres no rating lower than 1 star. My husband and I walked out. Will never go to this place again, is it because of our skin color that we were treated differently... I dont know but it certainly seemed like it.
Amazing pasta. Wouldn’t recommend the steak.Normal atmosphere, not fancy, polite staff.
omg this place was SOOO good, really big portion sizes and the food we ordered was so so tasty. my photos attached are what we ordered. staff were lovely - only downside was when we went the pizza wasnt available! so we were also unable to go get garlic bread :( definately would come back though regardless a solid 8/10 in my opinion. the reason why i wouldnt give it a 10 is 1pizza situation (i wanted garlic bread2i didnt order any drinks /dessert from here so i cant really give a holistic review on all of that :)
One of my favourite Italian restaurant in the city. I tried pretty much everything and its great value for money. As managed by Italian, you can also experience the friendly waiters/waitresses welcoming. If youve never tried a metro pizza, this is the best place to go.
The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is lovely, my favourite thing and the reason I keep coming back is the dessert Delicia de Limon 😍 I even try to make it myself during the lockdown, not even close 😅
Everything we had was fantastic. From service to their food. Great value for your money. Anyone looking for Italian this is definitely the place to go!
Food was good, but the service was meh. The waitress has ignored our drink order. The environment is so noisy. There are no space between tables. Not recommended if someone is looking forward agood customer experience.
Pasta and pizza is great, price is reasonable in central London, quick service but the vibe is not for dating or to chill cos it’s a very very busy and noisy restaurant.
When you goto an Italian Restaurant and Italians are there eating…you know you picked a great place. Food was fantastic! Go, just go! You will not be disappointed. Bolognese was perfect! Lasagna was wonderful! Nice wine and drink selection. Again…go!
The most delicious Southern Italian Cuisine in Central London. Great food, great price. you will feel home. Managed by 2 great guys: Angelo and Francesco. One not to miss.
Amazing pizza and the table next to ours was a meter long
Delicious Pizza! Really enjoyed my dinner. I went to Sartori on a Saturday night, I had booked couple of days before and no problems to find a table.Service was fast and pizzas were so tasty. Had a Bellini and also was very good.
The Sartori is my favorite Italian in London. The food is excellent and with good value & quantity for money. Staff very friendly and convivial atmosphere. Angelo is our favorite waiter, with a great sense of professionalism and a big heart. They recently changed the menu though so some options such as mussels are no longer available.
Proper and real Italian restaurant in London! It gets very crowded, bit too crowded for my liking, but food is amazing! Also good selection of wines. We havent tried sweets, because we order way too many savory dishes, but I can bet its finger licking too.
Delicious food, although there is room for improvement. Also, keep in mind that they charge service fee 12.5%.
The Vitello Milanese was absolutely fantastic! This is how you make a proper snitzel. Breadrcrumbs perfectly tasty, the beef had not a sibgle chewy bit. Large portion, great value, best taste. Definitely my top restaurant pick from now on!
Little gem in London that we have just discovered. Unfortunately as we never been before to this restaurant we didnt know that it was better to book a table, the place was packed so there was just 1 table available and it was near the door and it was quite cold because every 5 second somebody was opening the door . When going to the toilet I have discovered that they had another sitting area downstairs so I dont understand why they werent accommodating people even downstairs. The food was amazing ,good quality and really tasty.
Came for dessert and enjoyed the tiramisu. My son had pasta carbonara which he said was tasty.
I cant believe I havent been here before. A quick pre theatre meal. Great food at a decent price. The portions are large (hint to restaurant ... You could slim down those starters and theyd still be amazing!). No room for a dessert which was unfortunate as I imagine they would be great too. Lovely wine. Made to feel very at home. Will be back.
Been here a couple times for dinner. I’ve tried the bruschetta for starters and Pappardelle con Pomodorini Nduja e burrata (pasta with with nduja and burratafor mains. I was expecting the pasta to be spicy because of nduja, but it was simply perfect as the cheese tones it down. Bruschetta isnt very complex to make, but that too was simply divine! My friend ate the margarita pizza and she loved it (coming from an Italian). Prices are great for the taste and portion sizes. Catered to the tastebuds of both Italians aswell as the rest of us. Staff are very friendly :)
Great restaurant on the corner of Leicester Sq station. Wonderful service from the waiter, attentive and very helpful as it was our first time to the restaurant. I ordered a vegetariana pizza, really tasty - actually one of the best pizzas Ive ever tried! It had mozerella, peppers and aubergine. Just a little it on the salty side. I would definitely return, and try one of their pasta dishes next time.
We love this Italian restaurant. Great menu and service. Simple and honest food.
It became one of my favourite Italian restaurants. Strongly recommend it! A strong five stars! Great service!
We decided to give this place a try based on the brilliant reviews as we were visiting London for the week however had a pretty bad experience. I ordered the octopus salad for a starter and both me and my boyfriend had a pizza for a main. As soon as we were finished with the main I started feeling strange, and then was up all night with a food poisoning. The pizzas were great and my boyfriend was fine hence why I believe it was the octopus, and we have not had anything else that day. It was such a shame as it has spoiled the rest of our trip, so just letting people know to beware.
Big fan of Italian food so thought to check this spot out. I had the prawn/mussels pasta and it was one of the best pasta Ive had in London. The garlic pizza bread was also yummy. Recommend going there with an empty stomach, the portion size is quite filling!
Great pizza = very soft dough and juicy tomato base reaching perfection. Many pasta options, you wont starve, great meal guaranteed! Excellent service and friendly staff.
The service was good, and the restaurant looked good because it seemed to be good at keeping social distance by spacing tables. The pizza tasted so good, too. I havent been to Italy, but I felt like I was in Italy.I packed the leftovers, and they were still delicious the next day.
Almost a five. Good real italian food. Super nice owner that made an effort to find a table for us in a very busy night. Would be a 5 star rating but Tables are a bit crowded and decor could be improved. Right on Exmouth market a hidden beautiful street full of independent restaurants and bars.
Nice place that has an upper and a lower level. We were put downstairs which was sadly very very noisy and didnt make for the best experience. Regardless, Food was really good and had a decent selection of dishes. The only disappointment was that they adhere to the “classical” Italian recipies which means you cant get any meat on pizzas- aside from ham or sausage, which is authentic, yet slightly annoying. The pasta dish we had wad amazing. So was the aubergine starter.Staff was abit meh. Not really bothered.
100% authentic Italian. Was here with friends, the 5 of us had great time. We had a good bottle of wine and lots of food. Everything was good, the pasta and pizza were even better than good. Really authentic and similar to Italy (one of my friends was born 30 mins away frim Pisa, so we had high standards :)).Will be coming back when seeking for proper Italian food, definitely recommended and way better than other Italian restaurants that are in this very touristic area that usually dont have good casual restaurants.
I went there with my friend for a bday dinner. I have to say costumer service 5 stars. Staff really friendly. One of my friend brought a cake from a different shop and we have been charge only 20 pound for the service of keeping the cake ,cutting and serving the cake later on .I think its a reasonable price , On top of that they where lovely to sing happy birthday all together, really sweet .Lets get to the food .We got different type of food from antipasti to pasta and second dishes of fish . I have to say antipasti were delicious and rich , second dishes of fish delicious as well.Unfortunately we found the pasta quite dry especially the "spaghetti with vongole " .That was a shame as all the flavour were there but pasta was just way too dry that most of us left half of it . Maybe we just be unlucky with the wrong chef , Otherwise i would have given 5 five stars.I will definitely go back to try the pizza out as it looked delicious!
