We really enjoyed our time here and would recommend. Beef salad was fantastic and the duck san choy bow was excellent. Chicken Tandoori was as good as it could be and the cocktails we ordered were perfect. Only 1 criticism was that children were at the restaurant after 9pm which made for a little bit of a noise distraction considering the restaurant policy discourages children for the second seating at night. Overall very nice and would have liked to have a dessert but ran out of time.

Great service and ambience for a romantic dinner. The servers are attentive. My husband has a nut allergy so they brought a special menu for him. The only thing is, if you have a nut allergy, it limits your selection by 50%. A lot of the menu items that my husband was interested in ordering, did not list nuts but our server informed us that they still incorporated nuts in the sauce, for example. Otherwise, a great spot! 👍

Tasty restaurant with a lovely garden atmosphere. Cuisine is a selection of Asian cuisine around the region rather than an Indonesian restaurant. Food quality was high quality.

Salty food and not worth the money. We came back after they reopened after Covid, food is bad, we had lamb curry it was salty and the meet was overcooked. and the duck was dry and oily. The price is already expensive and none of the main course comes with side dish, so you have to order rice if you wanna eat your curry. totally not as good as before, we absolutely paid too much compare to what got. We won’t come back again.

Top experience. Beautiful room and ambience. Well prepared and interesting Asian fusion food.Expensive but worth it.Food seems to be more Indian skewed. Why is Indian food considered posh/expensive in Bali?! Can someone please explain…

The moment you step into Sarong you hear jazz. Course after Indian inspired course, you’ll leave satiated.I came back in late December 2021 after they opened up again. There were some kinks that need to be ironed out, sure, but the food and service overall were great.

I regret to say that Sarong isnt the first class restaurant it once was.The premises itself is tired and dark lacking any atmosphere.Service is just so ordinary. Waiting time between meals was very long with staff standing around in groups talking with no attention to customers like ourselves ( mind you there were only THREE tables of customers !). No attention to drinks at all.The most disappointing aspect was the food . Very heavy on Indian food choices and the food itself is lacking that special " spark of superior quality" this restaurant once had. Actually, the food served up was in our opinion ( table of three just ordinary at best. Was once a restaurant I would recommend as one of the best Ive eaten anywhere in the world , now I am sorry to say , I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

I have been fortunate enough to dine here more than 5 times, and have never been let down. My number one recommendation to all my friends and family traveling to Bali. This time was no exception. New Thai inspired menu, amazingly presented, phenomenal flavours and impeccable service as always. The place is always packed so make sure to book in advanced.Beautiful interior, perfect for a date night or intimate dinner with family or friends. The team here know how to run a restaurant and the staff takes pride in their service and knowledge of the food and beverages.Thank you Sarong, truly a pinnacle and gold standard of a successful restaurant service. You’ve stood the test of time and show no sign of slowing.

A must visit when dining out in bali.Book a table, and enjoy an evening of impeccable service and first class menu. Was lucky enough to experienced the new Thai inspired menu recently launched and I was not disappointed. As always the service was 5 star and I can’t wait to go back and sample more of this incredible menu. Please try the open pandan cake for dessert. Highly recommended!

Definitely worth a visit as it lives up to the word of mouth praised by others. Dimly lit fancy decor and comfortable seating, only wish it was air conditioned.Meals were amazing and full of flavour with clear use of fresh ingredients. Will definitely go back, next time Im in Bali.

Love Sarong! Thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. We’ve come twice already and intend to return once more before leaving. The Kashmiri chicken, tandoori potato, yogurt with pomegranate were all delicious. We have yet to try a dish we don’t love.

Really good food, ambience, and service. The hopper with snapper in coconut milk was excellent as were the kulchas. The aloo tandoori was slightly bland but still not bad. Nan and black dal were great too. The pavlova was quite dry and when we gave this feedback, they removed it from the final bill. The other dessert we ordered with honeycomb etc was really good.

Omg the food here was incredible, so much flavour in everything that I actually cant pick a favourite dish. The only annoying bit was that when we said we didnt want it super spicy, the options on the menu were drastically reduced to only a handful of dishes that were only "moderately spicy or mild". But the waitress was very good at helping us choose and we did have a beautiful meal of varying dishes in the end.

This was our favorite restaurant during our stay in Seminyak. Very romantic and the food was delicious and booming with flavors. Professional staff, very kind.We ordered a small tuna dish together with Kashmiri chicken, butter chicken, naan bread and rice. Enough to share for two persons. Then we finished with two delightful desserts.. I skipped the breakfast the next day..

Old time favourite I been visiting for 10 years. Never fails to deliver the Asian tastes in a hearty sharing plate fashion. Bethel nut with tuna cubes, slow roasted pulled lamb shoulder and seafood biriyani were all very satisfactory. That goes for the passion fruit whisky sour too. We ended the kampung snickers dessert which was ideal size to share to end the night.

For a swish meal and restaurant, you cant go past the Sarong. Every time we visit Bali we always book a table here.Food is exceptional, a little pricey than normal restaurants in Bali, but well worth a visit. Men must wear collared shirts, or you sit out in the front courtyard.

This is an amazing gem of a restaurant. If you dont have reservations, which is highly recommended, sit outside in the courtyard, you will be glad you did. A little pricey by Balinese standards but it is very reasonable compared to North America. All our meals were delicious but I do recommend the soft-shelled crab and the barramundi with a local bottle of chardonnay.

Summary: Absolutely delicious food, romantic ambience. Slightly pricey by Bali standards. Service was good but a tad slow.Must try the lamb curry and crispy chickenSarong is a fusion Asian restaurant, influences are mainly from Indian cuisine, the curry is fragrant but not overly spicy. The grilled fish was excellent.Overall its worth a visit, the service was a tad slow and its off peak so the restaurant wasnt packed, our mains took almost an hour. If it isnt windy, it can get a bit warm.

First place we hit when arriving at Bali. Naturally is pricey but worth for the number 12 rated restaurant in Indonesia. Pleasant experience, lovely ambience and good food. We recommend the baked barramundi, crispy pork belly and the butter chicken. Theyre known for their curries so give that a shot for sure!

Cocktails amazing, food amazing, service amazing, ambience amazing - 5 stars in every way.We had little trouble finding the place due to slightly incorrect location on maps and dark entrance but once you enter the gate, you are immediatly wowed by the courtyard and the ambience. We arrived early so waited on the bar, had a Basil Gin Sour and Smoked Whiskey Sour. Gin sour was really nice with broad flavors and celebrating basil. I love whiskey sour and this was a good, perfectly sour, but wasnt smoky for me. Probably would have been more smoky buy using heavily peated whiskey.Food was amazing too, We started by having kachori pockets. This is a classic street food from india and served in a classy way. Stuffed potato and onion with tamrind sauce were really tasting well. Mains we had Aloo Tandoori and Daal Makhni with Garlic Naan. Every dish was cooked well and served in good quantities, its very hard to find good daal makhni outside india but these guys have nailed the flavors. Daal was nice and creamy while aloo was dry it had still much flavor and smokeyness that a curry was not needed. Bread was also cooked well.I wish i could try desserts but we were way to full to eat anything after it. Highly recommended when you are in Bali for a nice dinner date or fancy dinner with friends. Will be back when ever im in Bali again.

First impression of the interior design was good, looks elegant and upscale. However, we can’t give high scores for the food. As a ‘fine-dining’ restaurant, service, food quality and presentation are the essentials. We can’t see the nice presentation of the food, pork belly was overcooked, tandoori seafood was grilled too much, we had to take time remove the brown to eat the seafood and the tandoori stuffing didn’t cooked well in the prawns. Masala beef was too salty and no idea of the concept to separate into two cooking methods but same taste. We only appreciated the nann bread in the whole dining. Overall, it’s overpriced.

Really cool place for a date. Came here for dinner and loved the dark and cozy setting. The food was great, had an amazing seafood briyani, fried cauliflower, and spinach cheese curry which were all delicious. The service though, I thought was not as on par with the food. Perhaps it was because we were in on of the interior rooms but the staffs rarely came to check on us and also didn’t seem to give very convincing suggestions for dishes. Furthermore they gave me the wrong beer! Nonetheless I would still recommend a visit as the food is great.

Me and my wife Decided to try this restaurant after seeing the reviews. Having been in Bali for few days were used to the humble and welcoming attitude but we got a reality check here when we told we didnt have a reservation. We were told we could only sit outdoor and all the table inside were booked. We were actually about to ask if we could take the table outdoor, but the indifference from the staff prevented us from interacting with them further. The ambiance was good, but the place is not air conditioned, might be very unpleasant during summer. We had high expectations about tbe food but it was not worth bearing with the unprofessional and rude staff. Theres absolutely nothing special about this place. The quantity they serve is laughable. We Felt like we were eating in a wannabe Asian restaurant where majority of the dishes are of Indian influence, alas they dont treat Indians like they do the caucasian customers

This place is slightly pricier but food quality is there. My bf and I had starters, main and dessert and they are all lovely, never disappointed. For starters we had the duck salad (similar to som tam but instead it comes with duck and the shredded lamb (similar to eating Peking duck- a little on the spicier end ; main I had barramundi and my bf had the beef. The beef, despite slow cooked for 8 hours, has a crunchy outer layer and its soft in the inside.Drinks, please try the homemade ginger beer with orange. Its one of the best cocktail Ive had.Dessert, gosh! Just go for the SEA taster! It has 6-7 desserts and its a little too much for us both that we had to take some away. Shall you would like to try individual dessert, go for the chocolate tart with coconut ice cream and candied orange peel. Its rich and creamy, yums! My bf loved the creme caramel with a Vietnamese twist while the pavlova is also lovely! See? Thats why the taster set works best! And its only 150,000 rph!All the dishes costs less than 20 dollars. So, if youre willing to spend a little more for quality food, this place is a must go!

Amazing tandoori dish, beautiful and Romaric décor. This on an upscale restaurant with incredibly affordable prices. No AC, but lots of fans throughout this expansive restaurant. Staff is incredibly attentive to patrons. It is outdoors (covered roof). Second time we come back... Perfect dinner date. The food is succulent!

We followed recommendations of two friends and came here for our last dinner yesterday. The place is super nice with a cozy and intimate atmosphere, dinner lights, tasteful interior and a lot of greenery. The food here is excellent and offers informed dishes from Indonesia, India and Thailand. My favorites would be their signature crispy pork belly and the 8 hour slow cooked beef, the most interesting was an Indian infused snapper ceviche. We finished with the dessert tasting plate which was pure indulgence and a bit too big for the three of us.I thought the free flow sparkling water was a great idea even though after the main courses the refill intervals grew a bit longer apart.Service here too we excellent and the staff was not only attentive but also have great recommendations how to choose the course of our meal. Terimakasih for a wonderful evening.
