Set on a stretch of sandy beach, this quaint retreat with cottages is 2.8 km from Miracle Beach Provincial Park and 27.3 km from the British Columbia Ferry Corp passage to Powell River. The 6 casual cottages have free Wi-Fi and cable TV, as well as kitchens with microwaves, coffeemakers and cookware.Amenities include direct beach access, a communal fire pit with complimentary firewood, and grills. There's also an RV park and campsite.
Be careful of renting cabins in off seasons. This girl takes deposits and doesnt return them to people applying for off season cabin rentals...then takes off to some tropical place with their money.
No better place to take your RV or tent for a vacation anywhere but here. World class
Our unit was a bit dated compared to our friends, but the location made up for it.I was surprised we had to throw out our own garbage, and recycling for the price we were paying as well. Wifi was adequate, but cell service was spotty which isnt there fault.
Saratoga Beach Resort is so nice and loved it there!
Such a beautiful beach, lots of nice sand and views of the mountain!
Great place to camp. The staff were very friendly and was one of the few campgrounds that contacted me and accommodated our small motorhome on a great site. I find that its very difficult to contact campgrounds to arrange for a reservation. Very few have online booking or a phone number that you can call and actually talk to a person. We enjoyed our evening there even though it rained we loved the beach and it was quiet.
For an Autumn Georgia Straight beach experience, with fine, clean facilities, and a remarkable landscape, we were fortunate to find friendly neighbors and an evening beach fire.
The beach is great and deserves 5 stars but the campground has small sites and units are packed like sardines. Definitely not a campsite I would recommend.
Super nice and hardworking staff.Great spot right on the beach.
Friendly staff, full hookups and seconds to the beach; hard to beat this place. Really impressed with how they accommodated us this weekend. Will return.
Terrible WIFI. Makes for very boring and frustrating rainy nights. Get a booster. Very very frustrating. Otherwise very nice.
Love it. To bad it is closing no camping here as of sept 15. Condos yuk
Excellent spot on the Georgia Straight to play in the sand which is rare for the east coast of Vancouver island and Derek and his wife with their dog Murphy were excellent camping hosts that is a rare thing today with everybody outsourcing.
Stayed a couple of months. Excellent accommodations. Cabins were exactly as described. Derek and Britny were fabulous hosts/ managers. We would definitely stay there again. Beautiful beach and the cabins were only a 300 foot walk to the beach. Even with all the COVID regulations and restrictions Derek and Britny were caring and thoughtful with all of our concerns. Keep up with the good work.rob and Ardith
Beautiful white sandy beach that we have been visiting for years.
Extremely clean camping sites for RVs and camper Vans right on the beach and extra kind and friendly staff not to mention on the house TV cable boxes. Extra clean washrooms and showers too.
Beautiful dog friendly beach. The water is warm and shallow
A well run hidden gem with the beach at your door step. The icing on the cake was a superb concert put on by the sweetest people you could ever meet, Eric and Lindy. Their eclectic mix of songs were guaranteed to stir up memories or even your limbs! Thank you for sharing your talents. Already looking forward to next year. Cheers!
Very quiet for the most part. Its small enough that management can keep an eye on things. Bathrooms were spotless. Excellent cleaning job. Friendly staff. The beach is awesome. Grocery and liquor store not even a 5 minute drive from the resort.
Great location, walking distance to the beach, friendly staff, clean and neat place, great management. We spent amazing time. Thank you
We had one of the older rustic cabins but it was more than adequate. The beach cant be beat. The front end staff helped make the place very special.
Truly is an amazing place and staffed by wonderful people that go out of their way to make your holiday a good one. Saratoga Beach is an absolute jewel right here on Vancouver Island!
Amazing spot right on the water. The lots arent private but everyone is really friendly, quiet and treats you like family.
Gorgeous beach. There was a wedding on it today which is an amazing location for one as well
Great place for a weekend or week long getaway, and its right on the beach! They not only have fully serviced RV sites, but cozy, quaint as well as new cabins are available. A central "family style" fire pit is available to everyone next to the beach along with Adirondack chairs.I stayed in one of the older cabins which are all in fantastic shape and fully equipped with everything youd need for your vacation.Definitely will be back!!
The best! Peggy fit us in and was so helpful. She keeps you safe and secure while you stay there. Clean affordable and what a spot!
Have you like to relax and long walks along the ocean and over if youre an avid fisherman they have chartered fishing boats are tours and or you can just walk the beach if you want one of the best spots on the island by far
The Beach is pristine ! camping facilities spotless. All the people were very friendly and fun. The Management is wonderful .I will be back!! Love it!!
Wonderful beach..low tide has many sand dollars. Miracle beach is beautiful quiet and rustic...soooo many sand dollars too.
What great place to visit. Peggy is great as she really makes sure you are happy. Very friendly local group that meet at 4.20 every day and share stories and food. Very dog friendly, full hook ups and right on the beach. We will be back next time we go to the Island.
A great visit. Tight spaces but a cool place to spend the weekend right near the beach.
Owner and staff seemed nice. Beach was great with lots of white sand and nice views. However, we got stuck with cabin #1. Imagine youve made reservations at a beautiful restaurant. Youve reserved months ahead of time and have been anxiously waiting for a special night. You arrive and are given the table right next to the bathroom ... Its like that ..
Love this beach! Nice sand and soft slope into the water
Very clean sandy beach. Easy to get to. Not too crowded.
Gorgeous beach! Pretty fine light colored sand and an amazing view of ocean meeting sky and mountains to the side. Visited constantly over the past 13 years. Never too busy and the best when the tide is all the way in as theres still some sand.
The beach is spectacular! The owner is friendly and remembers everyone of her customers by name. The cottage was small but new and clean. Gas stove steel appliances and fresh linen every week. All of the other patrons of the resort were nice and we had a great time roasting marshmallows on the fire with a crowd of other campers/ vacationers. 😄 there are bbqs and lounge chairs and picnic tables for anyone staying there to use. There is coin laundry if u need it and a cabin of mens and womens washrooms with stalls and showers. We stayed a week, it was awesome!! Hope to go there again sometime.😎👌👏👏
It was a great experiance beach is very noce and clean ppl were friendly centrally located all in all awesome week
Beautiful sandy beach with lots of Inter tidal warm water areas for children when tide is out.
Location, location, location. You can walk right onto the beach from this resort. You will never get tired of watching the tide go in and out, walk forever on the beautiful sandy beach, hear the waves, watch the whales swim by and cruise ships sail by. Great place to relax and catch some rays.
Wonderful accommodation, friendly guests. Beautiful beaches and the sunrises are to die for. Will come again for sure.
Rude Peggy ..... that greatted me on the phone... she was sure she didn’t have space for me and my dogs .... without even looking at her calendar.... Whow really wouldn’t want to stay there now. 😔 word of mouth is king
Nice family, sandy beach. Nice sand/water. Water was nice to be in in mid-August. Not many amenities except for porta-poties. Parking can be a little tight.
Accommodating and easy going staff, free Wi-Fi and the portion of the beach thats right out front is positively prime.
Except for the rain this year, I could not have asked for a nicer place to be. The beach is something that is imprinted on my mind. The bathrooms and laundry house have been redone. The security makes you feel very safe. You can go into town and know there will not be people driving in and out checking the place out.
The accommodation was an Old RV , well worn out and falling apart. Mould in corners. nice location on the beach but overcrowded with RV . Wouldnt go back or recommend this place
We love staying here every year. Nothing better than waking up with the sandy beach everyday. We feel secure in there as there is no public access. The manager makes sure everyone checks in. We are looking forward to our 4th year next year.
We are from Saskatchewan and were out looking for a new campsite today so we stopped in at the Saratoga campground and wanted to have a quick drive around to see if we possibly might want to move our camper there. I have never met a business person as rude as that lady we ran into She was so mad at us for driving around the campsite to have a look!!! She very rudely told us there was a sign to park outside of campsite and we explained we just wanted to see campsites ... And she yelled at us that there is a reason for the sign ... Unreal !! So I told her there was also a reason we would not stay there! And she told us to not come back there AND actually gave us the finger because we had the audacity to drive around her campsite. I can only say STAY away from this place!! Not only was she unbelievably RUDE ... But from what we can see the campsites are cramped and terrible ... If it werent for the beach in that area I cant imagine why anyone would stay there ... Wish I could give this place NEGATIVE stars ... We have been camping a long time and have never experienced anyone like this women
We really enjoy our stays at this wonderful RV park right along the beach. The staff are friendly, WiFi is great and this year the bathrooms have been completely replaced with a new building that is very well done.
Wish I could include an actual review of the property, but after several attempts to contact these folks and arrange a reservation, without receiving even the courtesy of a response, I gave up. Business must be really good to not even return messages.
We have camped here for years. Recent ownership/management changes have increased prices dramatically, reduced size of campsites and ceased enforcing their own small pets on leash regulation. Significant improvement in wifi access.
