Sara Hilden Art Museum in Tampere

Always nice museum to visit. Now Nick Cave .

World class art, but stressed out staff made the visit to the art museum unbearable.

Awesome setting with fantastic exhibitions

Not crowded at all, so that was great!! It had a nice small selection of modern art pieces, which we mostly checked out because some of them where made by Brad Pitt 😅Quite interesting, its just behind Sarkaniemi so its easy to get there. There are also some art pieces outside, so be sure to explore that area as well :)

Sympathetic modest-sized museum with varying contemporary art exhibitions. Don’t forget to walk around in the sculpture garden too!

This moderately small museum has very interesting exhibitions, the latest being WE by Thomas Houseago and also smaller exhibitions by Nick Cave and Brad Pitt. Its a place to see in itself, it is situated by the lake Nasijarvi in Tampere. Its about 20 minute walk from the central square of Tampere or you can take a bus to get there.

Wonderful art experience in a wonderful environment. The building and its surroundings give it its own character. Ask for a voice guide device for an even better experience.

I enjoyed the contents as well as the location of the museum.

Lovely gallery with pictures and sculptures. Set in pretty grounds overlooking the lake witj a nice cafe. You can drive right up to it but may need to ask the funfair staff to open the access gate

Nice exhibition of a single artist

Very nice place, spacious inside, located just besides the lake. At the exit there were posters from past exhibition, sold at super low price 2e!!!

Really unique location for an art museum, such a shame that the museum has to relocate soon. Go visit the museum in its current location while you still can.

Nice place to visit! However very weird exhibition on at this present time, Kari Vehosalo 6.2- 1.8.21 (check Google for his art work style before visiting / adult theme including bondage and death). worth a visit very talented artist🙂

Nice compact-size art gallery. About 1-2 hour to walkaround. Contemporary art. Location is in Särkänniemi amusement park area.

Very atmospheric with well-designed lighting and big windows. Also the location by the lake is awesome.

Lots of natural beauty and statues around the museum, eonderful art and friendly atmosphere inside with wonderful cafeteria staff.

Reminded me of old Soviet buildings outside, but was actually pretty nice but small gallery. While I was visiting, there was a gallery called Still Still Life. Very interesting pictures and installations.

Very impressive building, good architecture. Not that impressive expositions though.

Wasnt all that bad. Some are amazing arts, others are not so good.

Ron mueck, great.

I loved the museums brutalist architecture. The building seems purpose built as all rooms are excellent gallery spaces. Also, the current exhibition (Ron Mueckwas very interesting and definitely worth the visit.

Loved the exhibition and facility. Weekend is busy so if you can enjoy it during the week.

Nice feeling and a lot of contemporary art to see!
